It was a hot day. The sun blazing even in the early morning, its heat pressing on the backs of those who dared to brave it to reach their desired destination.

The two Sawada brothers were on their way to school, Reborn wasn't present but the fear he planted in the brothers about what he's capable of was enough for Hikaru to follow his orders, whether the hitman was with them or not. For all they know he could be following them, waiting for them to slip and make a mistake so he could have an excuse to torture them.

But then again, Reborn doesn't need an excuse to do anything.

So they were stuck with each other. Hikaru was grumbling about anything and everything and his constant complains was starting to irritate the usually cool-tempered Tsuna. But that's what siblings do. They get on your nerves. Tsuna was seriously considering knocking him out so he could enjoy a few moments of silence, but right before Tsuna could take any action, a bell was heard.

Turning towards the sound Tsuna had to stop himself from jumping away in surprise, right in front of them was a female, she has pale skin and green eyes that reminded Tsuna of a particular bomber. She also has a scorpion tattooed on her shoulder and long, straight light pink hair. She wore an olive green tank top that showed her midriff and a pair of black pants, her wrists were obscured by a number of bracelets of many colours. Poison Scorpion Bianchi, Tsuna's mind supplied.

"Hey," the female's silky voice sounded "You can have these," she said as she tossed each of them a can of orange-flavoured soft drinks, then promptly cycled away.

"What the hell?" Hikaru muttered in confusion. Because since when do people just throw drinks at complete strangers?

Tsuna, on the other hand, stared at the can in his hand with suspicion. It was a known fact that the Poison Scorpion excells in poison cooking, meaning that everything she prepares-or touches, really-turns into poison. Tsuna isn't sure if that logic is applied on canned items and the brunet really doesn't want to test the theory either. There is also the fact that she had two cans which she had "coincidentally" given to the two possible heirs of the Vongola. Tsuna doesn't believe in coincidences.

Hikaru meanwhile shrugged the weirdness of the situation off and decided to enjoy his free drink. Hearing the soft hiss from the can once it was opened, he lifted it to drink, Tsuna watching silently, wanting to see if his brother's intuition would finally work and if not, to make sure to stop him from ingesting the drink.

Alas, Hikaru's intuition remains dormant.

But just as Tsuna was ready to slap the can from his brother's hand, the said brother paused, then he frowned as the fuzzing and hissing of his drink did not abate and instead seemed to increase. He sniffed the drink only to cringe away in horror. If death had a smell, that's what it would smell like, Hikaru decided.

Dropping the can of poison then and there, the brothers watched as the liquid that somehow changed colours from orange to purple spilt on the ground, a cloud of purple miasma released into the air, slowly rising until it encountered a crow. The poor bird who was minding its own business and not disturbing anyone was the unfortunate victim of the air filled with poison.

It squawked and screeched at the torture and then practically dropped dead, all the way from the top of the pole. The poor thing remained on the ground twitching and foaming at the beak. Taking pity on the poor creature, tsuna took the piece of cloth wrapped around his lunch box and instead wrapped it around the bird gently. There is a vet nearby, he would have to take the longer route to school, and Hikaru will be forced to follow but he'll get the bird treated.

Tsuna stored away his still closed drink in his bag, who knows, he might need it later on, then he told his brother about his intentions, and proceeded to walk away, not waiting for his brother to follow or utter a word. Hikaru, as expected, voiced his dismay rather loudly.

"We're going to end up being late and then Hibari would kill us! All because of you! Just leave the thing behind! Oh my god, why do I have to keep up with you? Unbelievable. It's that lady's fault anyway! Who carries such things with them? Is she insane? I could have been poisoned!"

(Tsuna is pretty sure that was the whole point)

And on and on he went, complaining about weirdos and creepy ladies and about devilish tutors and their evil pets and about half Italian bombers and baseball-obsessed idiots and especially about his stupid overly emotional and overly sympathetical brother and then about birds. But he followed the younger to the vet nonetheless, he watched as his brother explained the situation, skillfully omitting anything suspicious.

After that, both males jogged to school in silence.

The two brothers approached their class, once they were close enough, Hikaru shoved past his brother and entered the class making sure to shut the door loudly, grumbling all the while. He most likely did not want to be seen with him.

Sighing, Tsuna slid the door open, only to come face to face with the silver puppy, otherwise known as Gokudera Hayato.

"Good morning, Tenth!" he greeted, delight and enthusiasm dripping from his words.

Tsuna hunched his shoulders, looked left and right in panic to make sure no one heard that, then turned to the bomber "Gokudera, lower your voice! Please don't call me that in public," Tsuna whispered "or at all for that matter!" he added as a second thought.

"But you're the tenth, so it's only logical I call you so,"

"Well, it isn't yet decided, Hikaru could end up being the tenth for all anyone knows,"

At the name of Tsuna's brother, Gokudera's face darkened "That bastard can never be the Tenth! He's arrogant and absolutely disrespectful to you, the actual future tenth,"

Tsuna sighed, there is no way he would be able to convince him otherwise. He thinks it's like dealing with a kid "Gokudera, please..."

"Yo, Tsuna!"

Looking at the person who greeted him, Tsuna came face to chest with the baseball star, Yamamoto Takeshi. The brunet had to look up (way up) in order to even see the other's face. It annoyed Tsuna that Yamamoto was so tall, I mean, yeah, Tsuna is a year younger, but even Gokudera who's the same age is shorter by half a head at least.

Not for the first time, Tsuna wondered if he was doomed to stay small for all his life.

"How dare you act so disrespectful to the tenth! Apologize immediately or else!" Gokudera yelled as he pulled out his dynamites, ready to get rid of the annoying black haired male before him. His angry voice drew some attention from other classmates who stared at them in confusion.

Tsuna's shoulders tensed at the looks they were getting, but he reacted quickly as he snatched the lit dynamite sticks from the half Italian teen and pinched the small flame on the wickes.

If this is going to be a regular occurrence, Tsuna thought sighing, his fingers would be charred by the end of this month-no, by the end of this week.

"Could you please not use those indoors," the brunet said, "or at least not when there are, um you know, witnesses?"

Gokudera's eyes widened in realisation "you're right, tenth! We can't drag civilians into this because of the omerta!"

Doesn't Yamamoto classify as a civilian? Why do you keep threatening him if you respect the omerta so much? Tsuna couldn't help the annoyed thought from flitting through his mind.

"What's this 'omerta'? It sounds weird," Yamamoto laughed, but his curiosity was palpable.

"You don't know what the omerta is and you still dare to linger near the tenth?! Scram you ignorant fool!"

Dear god, give me patience, tsuna sighed tiredly and wondered If this is how all their interactions going to be.

During lunch, Tsuna was going to the rooftop like usual and give Kyoya his lunch but before exiting the classroom Gokudera and Yamamoto asked if they could join him.

And looking at them standing side by side, holding their own lunches in their hands and their faces innocently eager, Tsuna just couldn't bear refusing. So, Tsuna asked them to wait for him as he went and gave the lunch box to Kusakabe, Kyoya's second in command, and asked him to deliver it to the skylark.

Then he leads the bickering pair out to the backyard, where Gokudera had challenged Hikaru. Tsuna would've preferred the rooftop (now that they had sturdier and higher fences) but he guessed it would be uncomfortable for Yamamoto as it hadn't been long since he attempted to jump.

The backyard was deserted like always, so Tsuna didn't have to worry about Gokudera's actions and could eat in peace, listening to Gokudera try and get Yamamoto to leave and Yamamoto laughing merrily.

Tsuna watched them in quiet amusement, looking down at his lunch, he remembers how he had gotten into the habit of making an extra lunch box. During every lunch break, and despite the fact that Tsuna packed him his own lunch box, Hikaru would barge in on Tsuna's quiet and demand he gives him his lunch.

Hikaru wouldn't eat it and would end up giving it to one of his lackeys, but the blond continued to do this in hopes of annoying Tsuna. But all he gets for his efforts is Tsuna's smart retorts.

It was one of the first things reborn had tutored the blond out of, though, and now Tsuna can eat his lunch in peace.

The brunet was only a few bites into his lunch before he heard the familiar voice of his big brother yelling at him.

'...or not.'

The sliver haired bomber whipped his head to glare at Hikaru and almost attacked the blond if it hadn't been for Tsuna's calming hand on his shoulder. It didn't stop Gokudera from growling at Hikaru, though.

Hikaru stomped his way towards the trio, his face angry and yelled "Are you trying to kill me?!"

There were so many ways to answer that question, but Tsuna settled for something that wouldn't anger his brother any further "Um, no?"

Hikaru growled, "Then explain this!" He shoved his lunch box under Tsuna's nose with a scowl on his face. Tsuna, for his part, didn't flinch and took a peek at the food he had made, only to blink in confusion. This was not what he had prepared.

Instead of the egg rolls, rice, chicken and fruit salad he had packed this morning, there was a...mass of purple that oozed blackish liquid and pieces of something and the smell was so awful, it had Tsuna cringe away from that horror within the small lunch box. If Tsuna didn't have better control, he was pretty sure he would have emptied his stomach right there.

But something about it looked familiar. Tsuna realized that it was Bianchi's doing, the same time Gokudera's eyes widened in horrified recognition, he said "This-this looks like..."

Reborn interrupted by appearing from a doorway in the tree, saying "You shouldn't eat that, one bite and you'll go straight to heaven"

'No shit,' Tsuna thought while carefully keeping his face neutral, 'it's not like it looks toxic or anything'

"I know you're there," reborn called to what appears to be no one, but Tsuna can feel the presence hiding behind the wall "come on out, Bianchi"

She stepped out from her hiding place. Bianchi didn't seem annoyed that she was discovered easily. 'Maybe because it was reborn, her former partner in crime (literally), was the one who did it?'

"Hey, it's the crazy lady from this morning!" Hikaru said as he took a step away from the female.

Said crazy lady scowls at the blond for calling her crazy but the expression quickly leaves her face as she turns to reborn with a dainty hand on her cheek "It's true, people go crazy with love," she sighed dreamily.

Reborn went on to explain about Bianchi being a freelance hitwoman and about her poison cooking and their relationship in the past.

"Wait, so you were actually trying to kill us with that soda this morning?" Hikaru yelled as he gestured to himself and his brother, looking absolutely incredulous that it was a casual attempt at his life "I thought they expired or something,"

"Bakaru, expired food doesn't look like that, poison cooking, however, looks just like your ruined lunch," reborn said.

Hikaru pouted, "But why ruin perfectly good food? Who does that? And I was actually looking forward to it too..." he trailed off as he muttered to himself about how sad it was that he lost his food.

But Tsuna steadily ignored everyone as he was more concerned about Gokudera. The poor boy seemed to be in pain as he had his arms wrapped around his stomach, his face was pale and scrunched up.

Tsuna wondered if Gokudera ate some of the poisonous food, but then he dismissed that thought. Hayato and Bianchi were siblings, (half-siblings but siblings nonetheless) he would definitely know what his sister's handiwork looks like and its effects on people. He wouldn't make that mistake.

"What's wrong, Gokudera?" Tsuna asked as he supported the hunched male.

Gokudera tried to turn his head away from his sister, hoping it would lessen the pain and tried to explain things to his boss. But the only thing he managed to get out was a weak mutter of "big sis"

Tsuna blinked in confusion, Bianchi was the cause of Gokudera's condition? How? Tsuna knew he wasn't poisoned and his intuition confirms it but for some reason, Bianchi's presence gave Gokudera stomach aches. Maybe that was why the two never went on missions together, when he read about it in their famigila's database, he had believed that they just weren't on the best of terms not...this.

"How about we go somewhere else?" Tsuna suggested and was fully intending to drag Gokudera away from his sister.

Too bad for Hayato, his sister seemed to have finally registered his presence as she turned her head towards him and smiled "It's been a while, Hayato"

Said boy grunted in pain as the stomach ache seemed to increase merely by having her attention on him. Bianchi appears to have interpreted the situation wrongly (Tsuna can't help but feel that this isn't the first time) as she gives a soft chuckle "He always does that, what a strange boy" she said as if trying to explain Gokudera's reaction to the other males.

Turning towards reborn, she declares "I came to take you back, reborn! You belong in the dangerous and thrilling underworld! Not in this safe, domestic place,"

Tsuna could have sworn he heard his brother mutter a forlorn 'please do,'

Reborn's expression doesn't change "I've told you before, I need to train those two to become respectable bosses," he said, pointing at the two Sawada brothers.

Both of them not really paying attention. Tsuna being worried about Gokudera, and Hikaru was still pouting about his lunch. Yamamoto remained standing, really confused by what's going on, but interested all the same.

Bianchi's expression turns icy, and her posture angry as she sends glares at the brothers as if blaming them for even existing (tsuna doesn't think he's too far off the mark).

Straightening her back and dropping her glare, she huffs "I suppose it can't be helped, that's your mission after all"

The female crossed her arms and turns contemplative, a small smile playing on her lips, turning towards reborn again she said, "When I kill those two-ah, I mean when they finally die in an accident, I'll come and get you, reborn"

With that not so subtle threat hanging in the air, she leaves as silently as she came.

Yamamoto laughs, breaking the awkward silence "Gokudera's sister sure is pretty," he said, "I guess being pretty runs in the family,"

Gokudera shoots a murderous glare at the raven headed boy, or rather, as murderous as he could get with his hunched position "who are you calling pretty, you baseball-freak..."

With the insult delivered, Gokudera finally collapsed. Tsuna made sure to secure his hold on the older male by slinging on arm over his shoulders, Yamamoto helps by taking the other arm.

"We're taking him to the nurse's office," Tsuna said. Before getting far, Tsuna turns back to look at his brother, who was still staring sulkily at his ruined lunch box "You can have my lunch Hikaru, I'm not hungry anyway"

Hikaru huffs quietly and turns his head the other way. Tsuna shakes his head at his big brother's childish antics as he and Yamamoto make their way towards the nurse's office, with a semi-conscious Gokudera between them.

Once they had placed Gokudera on a bed in the empty office, only then had they realised that the nurse had left the country and now their school is nurse-less.

However, Gokudera assured them that he only needs some rest and he'll get better, then he told Tsuna the reason behind the stomach aches.

Tsuna pities the silver head. To think that he had to eat poison cookies every time before a piano recital, the poor thing. The fear must have been overwhelming if it managed to imprint itself on Gokudera's conscious.

After promising to come back later, and with Gokudera insisting that Tsuna did not need to wait for him, Tsuna and Yamamoto made it back to their class.

Just as he entered, Tsuna remembered that they had left their lunch boxes outside when they half-carried half-dragged Gokudera to the nurse's office. When Tsuna made a move to go and get them, something caught his eye.

There, sitting in a neat stack on Tsuna's desk were the three lunch boxes Tsuna was about to retrieve.

"Oh! Isn't this mine?" Yamamoto said, once he noticed the stack as well. He took his blue box and packed it in his bag, then picked up the red one "and this one's Gokudera's, right? We should give it back to him"

Tsuna nodded "We'll do that once school is over" it wasn't long before school gets over, so Gokudera wouldn't be able to get back to class before dispersal. They'll fetch him directly from there.

Yamamoto went on talking about how unfortunate that Gokudera got a stomach ache at this time. Tsuna, picking up his orange lunch box, glanced at Hikaru's direction only to see that Hikaru had been looking at him, once their eyes met Hikaru startled and turned away with a frown.

Tsuna smiled.

It was now the home eco. period, the desks and chairs in 1-A were pushed aside and the males were standing or leaning on them as they chattered among themselves about whose cake would they like to taste which turned into a talk about who the most attractive girl is.

Sighing quietly, Tsuna, who had managed to find a seat that wasn't squished, observed his classmates' childish behaviour and insignificant worries. Listening to them voice their opinions and acting so friendly to each other without any care, made Tsuna realise that, they had no idea about what's brewing right under their noses. Or, more like, since it didn't concern them directly, they had no real reason to worry about anything like that.

Tsuna drooped in misery as he remembered that not only was he involved with the mafia on a regular basis since before he started as 27, but was also as a possible candidate for Vongola's decimo. And then there was the whole situation with the pacifier...

The brunet turned his head away from his classmates and gazed out the window, his thoughts running rampant in his head. Too many problems, too many responsibilities, too many risks. He frowned as he contemplated them.

The chattering of his classmates was slowly dulling as his mind became louder. Eventually, the noises and thoughts and worries swirling in his head drowned out the noises from outside.

He was looking outside, but he couldn't really see anything. His vision was clouded with memories, playing over and over. His head started to ache in a manner similar to when his intuition acts up. The pandemonium in his head created a bitter taste in his mouth and a painful tug in his chest.

Dread was steadily taking over, creeping quietly while the screams of words in his head masked its presence.

The loud shrieking of his thoughts was shattered when Tsuna felt a warm hand rest on his head. It took him a moment trying to reorient himself after being yanked from his head so abruptly.

Breathing deeply, he turned his eyes to the one sitting before him. It was Yamamoto, whose hand was still on his head. Tsuna didn't mind it, it was warm and it was grounding.

"You alright there, Tsuna? You're kinda pale," Yamamoto said, he spoke quietly and with more gentleness than Tsuna heard from him before.

Tsuna blinked dumbly for a moment "uh, yeah, I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?"

It was a rhetorical question so Tsuna had not expected Yamamoto to actually say something to refute his words.

"Tsuna," Yamamoto frowned, lowering his hand from the soft brown hair, he took hold of Tsuna's hands from where they rested on the table "your hands are shaking,"

Oh. Tsuna was unaware of that. His hands really were shaking. How weird. While it wasn't the first time Tsuna was overwhelmed with his worries, he usually managed to calm himself down after a while.

Tsuna hated those episodes, but he learned how to detect the incoming wave of panic and deal with it. But what confused the brunet is that it only happens when he's alone in his room. When he's sure the door is locked and no one would hear him if he cried.

So it was a surprise that he almost descended into a panic attack in the middle of the classroom.

"Are you sick?" Yamamoto's worried query brought Tsuna's attention back "Do you need to lay down?"

"No, no, I'm fine, I was just, uh," Tsuna stuttered, unsure of what to say "it's just, um, I was just thinking,"

The taller male hummed before smiling softly at the brunet. Tsuna was, for some reason, star-struck by the smile. It has been entirely too long since someone had smiled so warmly at him.

"It's fine to get lost in thought sometimes, but if there's something that worries you, you can talk to me and I'll do anything I can to help, ok, Tsuna?" Yamamoto assured quietly, smile still in place.

Tsuna relaxed. He felt reassured and untense. The brunet knew that he can't unload all his problems on Yamamoto, not just due to the omerta, but also because Yamamoto was a dear friend and he would not want to drag him into the warzone known as the mafia.

But he felt nice, and he felt calm. So he smiled back at Yamamoto, feeling lighter than before "Thank you,"

Yamamoto grinned, "Anytime, now stop thinking too much and relax," And Tsuna couldn't help but think that the elder boy would be an amazing Rain.

Just then, the girls entered the classroom, each holding a little plate in hand that contained a piece of the cake they made during that period. There were so many different colours and flavours, it was almost dizzying.

The boys pounced at the chance of getting sweets made by their crushes. A good amount of girls surrounded Yamamoto and Hikaru, shyly offering their sweets to the boys. The remaining girls were scattered about, offering it to some boys willingly while others, not so much.

Tsuna swiftly and quietly slipped through the crowd and managed to find an empty spot for himself. He leaned against the wall and watched his classmates interact.

Yamamoto was already swarmed by girls, he was smiling freely as he complimented them their baking skills, how pretty their sweets looked and generally being sweet with everyone.

Some girls were asking about Gokudera's whereabouts, only to sigh in disappointment at Yamamoto's answering of "He's in the nurse's office, but don't worry, he'll be fine,"

Hikaru had his fair share of fans, but he refused to meet anyone's eyes as he discreetly threw glances at Kyoko, blushing all the while. Said girl was still standing beside the door, chatting with her best friend, Kurokawa Hana.

Paying closer attention to the duo, Tsuna could hear Hana muttering about how she isn't giving her cake to anyone and that the only person who deserves to eat it is herself. Meanwhile, Kyoko was trying to gently calm her friend down by mentioning the giving to be fun and how nice it would be to get complimented on their cake.

Rolling her eyes, Hana proceeded to an empty seat, cake in hand, as she said to the other, "I don't need a boy's compliment to know I'm good at what I do,"

Tsuna couldn't help but smile a little, it was always refreshing to see someone as confident as Hana.

"Mou, Hana," Kyoko said with a fond smile. Then, she glances around the room, no one is alone. But then she notices Tsuna, and Tsuna, for his part, starts to feel uneasy.

Kyoko smiles brightly and practically skips over towards the lone brunet. Said brunet starts screaming internally as he sees Bianchi, the little sneaky Scorpion that she is, stealthily switching the sweet looking strawberry shortcake with her awful creation that looks just as bad as Hikaru's poisoned lunch.

"Hello, Tsuna-kun!"

"Ah, hello,"

She continues to smile brightly -Tsuna is starting to suspect some subconscious use of sun flames- as she offers him the cake "Would like to take it?"

And isn't that a problem.

Tsuna needs to think of something fast. He needs to stall in the meantime.

"Why give it to me, though?"

She tilts her head sideways in contemplation "Well, you were all alone, and I thought you didn't get cake yet, so I thought to give you mine!"

Tsuna smiles at her, it really is no surprise why practically all students just adore Kyoko, while Tsuna doesn't fancy her, he can clearly see her appeal. She's cute, nice and kind to everyone, very thoughtful, plenty cheerful.

No wonder people like her.

No wonder Hikaru likes her.

But no matter. He's got a plan now.

"That's very nice of you, Kyoko-san, but I've already got a cake-" lie "-and it would be unfair for the others if I take another, don't you think?" That's how he avoids eating the poisoned cake.

The girl hums and smiles in understanding "But now I don't know who to give it to," she says under her breath. And Tsuna smiles, that's exactly what he wanted her to say, now he can tell her whom to give it to so as to avoid innocent classmates getting poisoned.

"Well, I know someone who'll absolutely love it if you gave him the cake,"

"Really?" She perks up at that.

Tsuna's smile turns slightly evil, as he says "Hikaru hadn't gotten any cake yet," he points at Hikaru who was looking at them with wariness "and he seems to want to be your friend, but he's really shy to ask outright, maybe that'll help him," Now Reborn will have to deal with Hikaru and the poison.

The girls that had flocked around him have all dispersed in slight disappointment when Hikaru refused to look their way. So it was easy for Kyoko to know he was referring to his brother.

Kyoko looks back at Tsuna and nods in determination, but before going to Hikaru, she looks at Tsuna again "It's cute that you're looking out for your big brother like that,"

Tsuna gives a small smile.

Hikaru just knows that something unpleasant will happen.

Earlier, when the girls entered, Hikaru had looked for Kyoko, wanting to see if he'd be lucky enough to be given her cake.

But as he saw Bianchi take a perfectly good looking cake and change it with a horrifying mess of something that has the structure of a cake piece, but looks nothing like a freshly baked one. It made Hikaru feel like he doesn't need to eat it to get poisoned, just staring at it makes him want to puke.

So, he isn't sure what to feel when he sees the girl he has a crush on, approach his brother.

On one hand, he thinks he would be slightly jealous, but on the other...he really doesn't want to eat that block of poison and turning down Kyoko doesn't sit well with him. Not only because it would make her sad, but also because it would be like suicide, almost everyone in class would literally attack him if he made her sad.

And Hikaru doesn't want to deal with that, thank you very much. He's getting enough bruises from Reborn's training. No need to add any more.

He also thinks he's supposed to feel slight satisfaction that his brother is going to suffer through poison cooking, but something in his chest tugs insistently in what he realizes to be worry. He frowns before shrugging the thought away. Looking back at his brother, he sees a smile on his face that looks unsettlingly similar to that of Reborn's when he comes up with awful, awful plans. He looks at the brunet warily.

He feels as if he's in danger.

And sure enough, Tsuna points at him, smiling Kyoko. That smile, it really unnerves Hikaru. He sees her nod at his brother, says something and then proceeds to make her way towards...towards him, oh no, oh no, oh nononono! Stay back!

Hikaru panics and it's obvious, his hands flutter nervously as he turns away and tries to avoid eye contact, and hopes really hard that he's mistaken and that Kyoko is not coming to him to unknowingly offer him poison.

"Hikaru-kun!" The call that would normally make him happy, sounded like a death sentence.

"Would you like some cake?" The school idol was all smiles and rainbows as she asks, and Hikaru twitches in indecisiveness. Accept and die, or refuse and die?

Hikaru sighs and takes the plate from her hands and gives her a too-strained smile that probably looks more like a grimace. Her smile brightens even more.

He looks down at the cake in hand and gulps in apprehension. He might have accepted the cake from her, but feeding himself poison? No, he would not go that far. He would very much like to stay alive.

Kyoko hovers beside him, waiting for him to take a bite and give her his feedback. Hikaru tries to stall as he glances around. He spots Bianchi observing from a shadowy corner (and why hasn't anyone noticed her yet?) He looks away and outside the open window and spots a smirking Reborn, his Leon-gun cocked and ready to shoot.

And Hikaru knows, he just knows, chaos will ensue.

True to his thoughts, five minutes of Dying Will Mode induced insanity later, and when he comes back to his senses and realizes that he ate all the cakes, not just the poisoned one, but also all the other ones, he curses Reborn's name to hell and back.

He couldn't even spare a glare at his brother as he runs away from his raging classmates.

Hikaru flees for his life. Just as manages to lose them outside the school, a cold voice snaps him out of his short-lived relief.

"For disturbing the peace, and for public indecency, I will bite you to death,"

And Hikaru shrieks.

Up in the classroom, Tsuna watches his bother being chased around by Namimori's resident demon prefect. Yamamoto leans beside him on the window, grinning.

"Haa, Hikaru looks like he's having fun!"

Tsuna glances at the tall teen, then back at his shrieking brother, and thinks, 'I'm not sure about Hikaru enjoying this, but I sure am,' so with a grin, he says, "yeah, it looks fun,"

)()(Omake)()(

The two Sawada brothers were in a dead-end alleyway. A man standing at the mouth of the alley, cornering them and blocking the exit.

The man gives an ugly smirk as he approaches.

Hikaru takes a step forward "what do you want with us?"

"I've been sent to assassinate the last Vongola heirs,"

Tsuna frowns, what an inconvenience this is, they're going to be late and he still needs to prepare dinner.

The man takes out a knife and gets ready to lunge.

Then Tsuna remembers, "Oh that's right!" He exclaims suddenly, surprising his brother and their assassin "I still have that with me!"

Then he rummages in his bag while the other two stare at him dumbly, he takes something orangey out and shakes it thoroughly before angling it towards the assassin and opening it.

It makes a sharp hissing noise the moment the pressure is released, and the contents to spray all over the assassin's face.

It takes a moment before anything happens, but then, the man starts screaming and running around in circles, trying to claw the poisonous substance away from his face "AAAA, GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!"

Hikaru glances at the orange thing in his little brother's hand and sees the soda can they were given this morning by Bianchi. And then everything makes sense.

The man was still running around blindly, flailing some and screaming some more, but then he ran into the wall of the alley, bashing his head quite harshly and knocked himself out.

Hikaru looked down on the unconscious man's face (or what was left uncovered) and saw the purple sludge-like liquid bubbling and fuming. He made sure to take a few steps away from that mess. Then he looked at his brother, the brunet looking all innocent and sweet and incapable of splashing poison on anyone's face. He got a smile from Tsuna, who threw the now empty can in the trash bin.

And Hikaru really couldn't stop the smirk that made it's way to his face, "Good one," he told him.

The smile he received in return was almost blinding.
