Nyx POV

I've already ate and am still sitting on the couch where Jasper put me. I can still walk… I'm not completely invalid. I huff causing both Hazel and Jasper to laugh at me.

"Calm down Nyxie. I know you don't like feeling helpless but we don't want anything to happen to you."

"I know.. What the hell is Peter doing by the way? I can hang my own clothes! He better not mess up my books." Hazel just giggles at my dramatics, they just don't affect her anymore. I may have to add some spice. Perhaps a swoon here and a fake tear there. I smirk.

"Don't even Nyxie."

"Don't what Haze?" I say innocently

"I know your looks and that was a plotting smirk. So whatever it was shut that shit down. You are on bedrest and will behave."

I throw my head back and groan. "I'm bored already."

"Wow darlin ya lasted a whole thirty minutes, I'm impressed." Jasper drawls

I try to send him a glare but there's no malice in it. I mean come on! Its Jasper… Who can be mad at Jasper. The smug bastard knows it to apparently with that smirk he's flashing right now. I've always wanted a brother like Jasper but he doesn't have to be so darn cocky. Stupid empath. I send some irritation his way but he just smiles bigger. Jerk.

"Oh quit it you two." Hazel scolds us. "And you won't be bored for long Nyxie, I bet Peter is almost done by now."

Suspicious… "Almost done with what?"

"Well…" I nearly jump out my skin as I feel Peters breath on my ear as he whispers behind me.

"You trying to give me a damn heart attack!"

But they all just laugh at me. I take it back, Jasper isn't a jerk. They all are. What is this pick on the cripple day?

Peters booming laugh is sexy… No Nyx! I imagine sumo wrestlers in thongs… yea there we go. That'll dry a girl up faster than the Sahara Desert.

"Well what Peter?" I say getting annoyed again.

"Well kitten if you wanna know what I was doing so badly I'll show you."

Before I can reply he's lifted me and taken off at vampire speed again. I love the feeling the speed gives me. He walks into a bedroom and tosses me on the mattress. I bounce a couple times before I stop but I giggle again. Damn it. I'm supposed to be mad at him!

"Look kitten, you're all set up now." He says while pointing behind him.

I look up and see that he has this huge flat screen Tv and he some how has all my consoles hooked up to it.

"Holy crap."

"Do you like it kitten?"

"This is amazing Peter. Thank you."

He beams at me with a huge smile. I smirk back at him.

"You're still not forgiven though."

His smile falls but only for a second than he starts to walk to the door.

"I'll just have to try harder than kitten but…" He turns to glance at me when he gets to the door. "You looked at me at least." Then he winks.

I go to throw a pillow at him, but it hits the wall behind where he WAS standing a second ago.

"Stupid super speed."

I hear his laugh downstairs. Well at least he can't see the smile on my face this time. This soulmate crap is some strong shit… Hazel told me that he took care of that Char chick in a way that would make even me ecstatic. I wonder what he did. Would he tell me if I asked? Haze keeps telling me I need to open to him more but I've only every trusted her completely. She knows everything about me, but then again she was there for most of it as well and I was there for hers. We were together during the best days of our lives and the worst.

I turn on my PlayStation and start up my Dragon Age as soon as I press start the music blares. Oops I didn't realize how high the volume is but I hear Hazel from downstairs.

"IS THAT DRAGON AGE?"

"YES!" I laugh

I hear her footsteps as she comes running into the room, right as she gets near the bed she trips on the rug and face plants into the mattress. I can't stop laughing. Jasper is right behind her and sees the whole thing and is laughing to. Hazel looks up and pouts "Not funny." She says as she climbs onto the bed and sits next to me. Jasper sits behind her and pulls her into his chest. They are so adorable. Before I can speak, a blur comes into the room and sits on my other side. Peter. I roll my eyes but look at Hazel.

"So who we romancing today?"

She bounces up and down clapping her hands chanting "CULLEN! CULLEN! CULLEN!"

"Cullen?" both men mumble

I giggle "I also have a file where Dorian is ready if you want some sexy guy on guy action."

Both men scrunches their noses but Hazel hums and taps on her chin while she thinks.

"Don't forget Iron Bull. I actually have all of them on a file where its ready for the sexy scenes."

"Okay hold the fuck up." Peter says. "What the hell are ya'll playing?"

I turn and look him in the eyes with a sweet smile. "Dragon age silly." Then I turn back around and wait for Hazel to decide.

Jasper speaks next though "Um darlin, this sounds more like porn."

Both Hazel and I hum. "Don't worry my cowboy, you only see tits and ass." Hazel says before kissing his cheek and winking at me. I can't help but snicker at Jaspers face. It looks like he doesn't know if he should be turned on by her or worried over her animated crush on our game.

Hazel claps her hands together. "Cullen! He's my favorite."

"Of course. You just want to see him fuck you on his desk but I can't blame you. It's freaking hot." I laugh before I look at Jasper "Hey Jaap, you have a desk right?" I wink at him

He throws his head back and groans. Both Hazel and I giggle again. I turn around and start my file for Cullen. We all sit and watch as the cut scene plays, Hazel and I practically swooning but I carry on playing. Before we know it hours have passed and both of our stomachs start to grumble.

Hazel jumps up, "I'll go cook us something."

I nod, "Thanks Haze."

Jasper follows her downstairs and Peter stays next to me. "So.." he says, "Who is your favorite um guy on this game?"

"Iron fucking Bull."

"The guy with the horns?"

"I like horny men." I say with a smirk,

He scoffs. "Well you're in luck babe." He says as he nudges my shoulder and waggles his eyebrows at me.

"Is that so?" I ask while I start the file with Iron Bull.

"Anything for you kitten."

I play the scene where everyone walks in on Iron Bull and the main character, it has Peter in hysterics. I giggle. "Yea that's my favorite scene. Always makes me laugh."

Right then, Hazel walks in and hands me a plate and a drink before going back downstairs. I take a bite. Mm she's such a good cook. While I'm eating, I glance over at Peter who is sitting quietly watching me. "Hey Peter…"

"Yea kitten."

"Can I ask you something?" I ask but looking down at my plate

"Anything kitten."

I stop eating but I can't look at him when I ask. "What happened? Ya know, with the pretty vampire girl?" I barely whisper towards the end but I know he heard me.

He grabs me and pulls me into his lap causing me to squeak. I can feel his chuckle and it makes me blush.

"You are so cute kitten." He says. "She… was here waiting for me when I returned home alone."

"Hmph." I cross my arms and pout like a child. I don't care. Stupid whore. He's mine.

Peter chuckles again before continuing, "I had honestly never noticed her affections towards me before, I saw her as a sister and I guess that blinded me but when she started to speak badly about you… I snapped. Sister to me or not, nobody speaks badly about my girl, my mate." He squeezes me a little and kisses my head.

"So now I'm your mate huh?"

He sighs "I'm sorry kitten, so damn sorry. You are my mate and I want everyone to know that. Hell I'll put in the damn newspaper. Peter and Nyx hitched. Marking you mate is basically marriage in our world." He kisses my temple this time. "I'll do anything kitten to make you forgive me. Whatever you want."

I flash him an evil smile, "Anything?"

Peters eyes go wide and he gulps, "Uh yea kitten…" He doesn't sound so sure anymore. I quirk my eyebrow at him and he says. "Fuck… yes kitten anything. You name it."

I crawl out of his lap and grab my plate. I'd only eaten half. I turn to him and put it in his hands.

"Finish it Peter."

"You can't be serious? We can't eat human food sweetheart, you know this."

"No, you can't digest it. There's a difference. You'll just throw it up painfully later. You know vomit, like I have been doing in the hospital when I'm sick. You remember the hospital right? I was just there because of you." I smile and bat my eyelashes at him. Hook. Line. Sink.

Sucker.

Peter sighs but doesn't argue anymore. He finishes the whole thing. I almost feel bad. Almost. He really does look sick. Good. I giggle.

"Thank you Peter, take the plate downstairs for me would ya." I say before I climb under the covers and start a movie. He blurs away.

Only a few minutes later both Jasper and Hazel come into the room and get on the bed with me again. "Where's Peter?" I ask

They both laugh, "Well darlin, he's throwing up that food you made me eat. Guilting him like that though.. brilliant."

Hazel looks at me, "That was pure evil Nyxie."

I shrug my shoulders, "I know Haze but I just wanted a little payback. Besides ignoring him which he makes impossible there's not much else I can do. I wish I could just slap him and tell him to never do anything like that again. I don't want to have that feeling where I'm doubting my own soul mates intentions. I care for him, you know I do but… I can't handle any more pain Haze."

"I know Nyxie, I understand better than anyone else you know this."

"Yea I do. You are my sister always."

"Will you forgive him?"

"Yea, not quite yet though, that would be too easy!" we both giggle and Jasper smiles at us. About ten minutes later Peter walks in and plops down next to me. "How ya feelin handsome?"

"Peachy.." Peter grumbles. We all laugh at him.

I tug on the top of my shirt for some air but of course Hazel notices this and glares at me. "What's wrong Nyxie?"

Now all their eyes are focused on me, I sigh "Fine, I just feel hot okay. It's a little hard to breathe."

She reaches over and puts her hand on my head "You are running fever. I can go get you some medicine."

"No, I'll go get it." Peter says, "You stay with her Hazel incase she gets worse, you know what to do and Jasper can help you. I'll be quick. What should I get?"

"Tylenol." Says Hazel "It's the only thing she is allowed to take."

"Alright. I'll be back in a flash kitten. I have to go into town though, do you need or want anything else?"

"No Peter. Thank you." I tell him and give him a kiss on the cheek. He beams at me before he takes off. Man these vamps are quick.

"You just made him a very happy man, Nyxie."

"Well I guess he deserved a treat." I wink at her. We start our movie and Hazel puts her head in Jaspers lap. He's stroking her hair and before long she falls asleep. I knew she was tired. She always pushes herself too hard for me.

"So." Jasper starts. I look over at him. "You are willing to be changed though right? Because I completely plan to change Hazel when she is ready but I honestly don't think she will be happy unless you are with her. I want you with us as well. You've become a sister to me Nyx and I love ya. I'm IN love with your best friend. I don't want to lose either of you."

Aww. See. Who can be mad at Jasper. Peter needs to learn something from him.

"Jasper can you teach Peter some of this heart melting shit you are so good at?"

He flashes me what I'm learning to be his signature smirk. "I've tried Darlin. The dumbass don't listen though. His skulls pretty thick."

I snicker with my hand over my mouth so I wont wake up Hazel. "I've noticed. And yes Jasp, I would like to be changed. It's just…." I take a deep breath. "Can I be completely honest with you? Don't tell Peter, at least not yet."

He can see the worried expression I have on my face and nods. "Of course, What's on your mind Nyx."

"I've never been in love Jasper but… I can tell I'm falling for Peter. Hard. Guess this whole made for each other shit is real. It's just.. When he practically denied that I was his mate, it really hurt. I know he is just an oblivious dumb ass but.. doesn't make it hurt less. I care about him but I'm not sure I trust him. At least that he won't do it again if this Char comes back or some other female does the same."

"I get it Nyx. I had warned him for years of her feelings but he just doesn't listen. He kicked her ass for you though."

"I know which is why I'm not as mad anymore but he should of done that in the first place Jasp."

"I agree."

"So I'll give him a second chance but just so you know I am giving you full authority to turn me. Just not Peter. I haven't completely forgiven him yet but I don't want to die and I don't want to leave Hazel."

"Thank you. I don't want her to lose you either. Just so ya know, it'll hurt."

I snort. "Yea okay. I'm kinda used to pain Jasp."

"Three days Nyx. Three days of feeling like you are on fire."

"I understand Jasp but honestly three days of excruciating pain to be able to spend eternity with my best friend and new brother are worth whatever price I need to pay." I smile at him and he returns it. I don't want to worry him but it's getting harder to breathe, I can feel myself starting to sweat.

"Are you okay Nyx?"

"Yea it's just getting hotter. So by the way who exactly is the Alice chick? I thought it was boy at first with the short hair and lack of tits."

He threw his head back and laughed. "Right!" He chuckles. "I lived with her and her family for a little while. They eat animals instead of people. Thought I'd give it a try but it was nasty. The little midget had a thing for me. When she was human she was in a mental institute. Makes sense though cuz the bitch was crazy if she thought she had a chance with me."

We both start laughing at this. As I'm laughing though the heat becomes too much and I can't breathe. I pound at my chest but it doesn't work.

"Nyx what's wrong?!" Jasper sounds frantic. I look at him, unable to speak since I can't breathe and just start pointing to Hazel.

Jasper starts to shake her, "HAZEL WAKE UP!"
