Title: Dancing Angels
One late June afternoon, Emily was shown dragging Mavis towards the Knapford Mall.
"Come on, Mavis!" squealed Emily.
"I-I know…!" Mavis cringed, being dragged along, "Look, I know you're really eager to help me choose a Deck to buy, but I-!"
Boy, I wonder why Emily was so happy to accompany her best friend to the mall?
(inside…)
Inside the mall, the two girls arrived outside the Card Shop.
"Well, shall we?" asked Emily.
Mavis took a deep breath, "Yeah…" she agreed, "Let's head inside."
The Card Shop owner was busy with some customers at the counter when he saw Emily and Mavis both enter the store.
"I'll be with you two in a few minutes," The Card Shop owner said.
Mavis nodded, before starting to look around the place; she saw dozens of card packs and Starter Decks spread out on the shelves. The blonde-haired girl honestly did not know where to even start.
"Man, look at all the packs and Starter Decks…" sighed Mavis, feeling nervous, "I don't even know where to start."
Fortunately, she wasn't alone…
"Not to worry, Mavis," reassured Emily, "We'll find a Starter Deck that's suitable for you."
With that said, the two teenage girls began their search. They found various classic archetypes, like 'Harpie Lady' (also used by Lady Stone), 'Gadget', 'Ice', 'Vision HERO', and even elemental-based Decks focused on Attributes like FIRE, WATER, EARTH, etc.. None of those caught Mavis's interest. However, that changed when…
"Hey, Emily," Mavis soon called out, causing Emily to walk up to her, "What do you think of this set?"
"Let me see it," suggested Emily, carefully taking the Starter Deck that she was shown and looking at the cover and the back of the box, "Hmm… This actually looks like a really cool set, it's a 'Cyber Girl'/'Cyber Angel' Starter Deck. The 'Cyber Girls' are based around dance-related sports, while the 'Cyber Angels' are based on both Gods and creation myths of Asian mythologies like Buddhism and Hinduism."
"I don't know about you, but I like the sound of it," smiled Mavis, "That's the Starter Deck I'll get."
And that's what they got (along with a new Duel Disk). Just before leaving…
"Hold up, you two!" The Card Shop owner called out, getting the attention of both Emily and Mavis, "I forgot to bring something up! On the first day of July, there will be a slight change to the rules of the game."
"Changes to the rules?" wondered Mavis.
"What kind of changes?" put in Emily.
"You'll find out when it's July 1st," The Card Shop owner answered, before waving goodbye, "Now, you two enjoy the rest of your day!"
The two girls waved goodbye as well before leaving the store.
(elsewhere…)
Later on in the park, Emily and Mavis were both seated at a bench with the latter looking through the 'Cyber Girl'/'Girl Angel' Deck she bought. There were all sorts of cool cards in this Starter Deck, and some of the cards shown were as followed:
-'Fulfillment of the Contract' (Spell Card)
-'Machine Angel Ritual' (Spell Card)
-'Cyber Angel Benten' (Ritual Monster Card)
-'Etoile Cyber' (Effect Monster Card)
-'Sphere Kuriboh' (Effect Monster Card)
-'Card of Sacrifice' (Trap Card)
-'Polymerization' (Spell Card)
-'Hallowed Life Barrier' (Trap Card)
-'Cyber Prima' (Effect Monster Card)
"Wow! I like this Deck!" said Mavis, still cycling through her Deck, "The cards look so cool!" She then looked up when she was finished, "You know, many of these cards remind me of something I often take up during my spare time."
"Really?" Emily pondered. "What do they remind you of?"
"Well, when I was younger I used to attend dancing classes," explained Mavis. "However, when I joined up with Diesel's gang, he told me that dancing was for sissies. So I gave up the classes and started breaking the rules like him and his friends. At the time, I thought acting like him would make the other kids respect me, but all it got me was detentions and scoldings from my parents."
"Ouch… I remember a bit of that," winced Emily.
"Either way, when I finally dumped Diesel, I decided to start attending those classes again at my Mom and Step-Father's suggestion."
"Well, I'm glad you did," The dark green-haired girl smiled, looking and sounding relieved, "Now, what do you say we give your Deck a test run?"
"Okay," Mavis nodded in agreement, "Let's do that."
Though secretly, she was a bit worried she would do badly. See, even though Emily wasn't as skilled at the game as Thomas, Percy, or Spencer, she was still quite a force to contend to, especially after recently defeating James. First, Mavis opened the box containing her new Duel Disk.
"Okay," she mumbled, picking the device up, "So, it goes on my left arm, right?"
"That's the way!" praised Emily, once her friend got the Duel Disk equipped, "Now, all you need to do is insert your shuffled Deck into the card holder section."
Mavis did as she was told. Upon doing so, her LP gauge lit up and rose all the way to 4000.
"And that's the way it's done," said Emily, putting on and activating her own Duel Disk.
Once both players took their positions, hands were drawn thus commencing the duel.
"DUEL!" Emily and Mavis both exclaimed at once.
Turn One: Mavis Drewry (LP: 4000)
Deck: 34
Current Hand (5): "Doble Passe", "Cyber Angel Idaten", "Etoile Cyber", "Angel Wing" and "The Warrior Returning Alive"
With the duel beginning, Mavis took a look at her opening hand. Currently, it contained 'Doble Passe', 'Cyber Angel Idaten', 'Etoile Cyber', 'Angel Wing', and 'The Warrior Returning Alive'.
"Not a bad start so far," Mavis murmured to herself, before taking a card from her hand and beginning her turn, "I'll start things off by Summoning 'Etoile Cyber' in Attack Mode."
Appearing onto the field was a human dancer-like female monster with long, brown hair wearing a grayish blue/red-skintight outfit (Level: 4/ATK: 1200/DEF: 1600).
"In addition," continued Mavis, before taking and holding another card out "I'll my monster with the Equip Spell 'Angel Wing'!"
Two large white-feathered wings emerged from 'Etoile Cyber's' back.
"When the equipped monster inflicts battle damage to my opponent, I can inflict 300 damage to you, Emily, the opponent," Mavis explained, just before slotting a card into her Duel Disk, "Now, I'll Set one card and end my turn!"
A face-down card materialized on the field.
"So far, so good," Mavis thought to herself, "Still, I can't get cocky… This is my first ever duel, and Emily has been in a few duels herself."
"Here I go, Mavis!" declared Emily, drawing a card, "It's my turn!"
Turn Two: Emily Stirling (LP: 4000)
Deck: 34
Current Hand (6): "Urgent Ritual Art", "Gemini Elf", "Wingweaver", "Damage Mage", "Angelic Gift", and "Mage of Fairies"
Her drawn card was the 'Mage of Fairies' Monster Card.
"Perfect," nodded Emily, before pointing at her opponent, "Mavis! I want you to add a Spell Card from your Deck into your hand!"
"Why?" Mavis blinked.
"By letting the opponent add 1 Spell Card from their Deck into their hand," continued Emily, placing a card onto a Monster Field Zone on her Duel Disk, "I can Special Summon 'Mage of Fairies' from my hand!"
Appearing onto the field was the familiar Fairy monster wearing the outfit of a sorceress (Level: 5/ATK: 1800/DEF: 500). To go with that monster's effect, Mavis took her Deck out of the Duel Disk and began a search through it to find a Spell Card she wanted to add into her hand. Finally making her decision, she added the card to her hand.
"I'll add the Ritual Spell 'Machine Angel Ritual' from my Deck into my hand!" The blonde-haired girl announced, taking a card ('Machine Angel Ritual') from her Deck and adding it into her hand, "So, what's next?"
"I'll show you," As Emily spoke, the 'Gemini Elf' Monster Card materialized face-up on the field, "I Summon 'Gemini Elf' in Attack Mode!"
Appearing onto the field were a pair of female elves; one with blonde and wore a blue gown, and the other had red hair and wore a purple gown (Level: 4/ATK: 1900/DEF: 900).
"BATTLE!" exclaimed Emily, entering the Battle Phase, "'Gemini Elf', attack 'Etoile Cyber'!"
The two elves obeyed, diving into the air.
"Say goodbye to 'Etoile Cyber'!"
"Actually, your elves will hit 'me' instead!" cut in Mavis, causing Emily to ease up, "I activate a Trap - 'Doble Passe'!"
The face-down card flipped face-up and revealed itself.
"I can activate this card only when my opponent attacks a face-up Attack Position monster I control," explained Mavis, "It becomes a direct attack instead!"
Before 'Gemini Elf' could hit 'Etoile Cyber', the 'Cyber Girl' monster flipped out of the way. Since they lost their target, 'Gemini Elf' turned towards Mavis and decided to attack 'her' instead. The two elves went and kicked at the blonde-haired girl, causing her to grunt as she got pushed back from the force of the attack (LP: 4000 - 2100).
"Why would you play a Trap Card that lets you take a direct attack to save your monster?" asked Emily, who didn't believe this made any sort of sense.
"Because now comes the beauty part of my 'Doble Passe'," Mavis grinned in response, "The monster originally selected as the attack target attacks my opponent directly."
'Etoile Cyber' spun towards Emily, coming closer and closer to striking her.
"The effect of 'Etoile Cyber' activates!" declared Mavis, "If this monster attacks my opponent directly, she gains 600 ATK during the Damage Step only."
While spinning, 'Etoile Cyber's' ATK rose as she kicked at Emily across the chest (ATK: 1200 - 1800). Emily was then pushed back herself from the blow (LP: 4000 - 2200).
"But that's not all," Mavis added. "Since a monster equipped with 'Angel Wing' inflicted battle damage, you will take an additional 300 points of damage."
'Etoile Cyber' blew a gust of wind from her newly gained wings, causing Emily to take another hit (LP: 2200 - 1900). Fortunately, she was far from being done with her Battle Phase…
"Either way, this won't be enough," reminded Emily, "I'll use 'Mage of Fairies' to attack 'Etoile Cyber'! And since her ATK returns to normal after the Damage Step, she's weak enough to be defeated!"
'Mage of Fairies' fired a magic blast from her scepter, striking and shattering 'Etoile Cyber'. Mavis watched neutrally as shards of her monster soared past her (LP: 2100 - 1500).
"When 'Angel Wings' is destroyed and sent to the GY," Mavis went on, drawing a card, "I can draw one card."
"You will likely need it," acknowledged Emily, before slotting a card into her Duel Disk, "I Set one card face-down and end my turn."
A face-down card materialized on the field.
"Alright, Mavis, it's your turn… Show me how determined you are to win!"
"Right," agreed Mavis, drawing a card, "It's my turn! Draw!"
Turn Three: Mavis Drewry (LP: 1500)
Deck: 31
Current Hand (5): "Cyber Angel Idaten", "The Warrior Returning Alive", "Machine Angel Ritual", "Spirit Barrier", and "Cyber Petit Angel"
Her drawn card was a Monster Card called 'Cyber Petit Angel'.
"This is what I need!" rejoiced Mavis, before placing the card onto a Monster Field Zone on her Duel Disk, "Come forth - 'Cyber Petit Angel'!"
Appearing onto the field was a robotic version of 'Petit Angel' (Level: 2/ATK: 300/DEF: 200).
"If this card is Summoned, I can add 1 'Cyber Angel' monster or 'Machine Angel Ritual' from my Deck into my hand," explained Mavis, drawing a card ('Cyber Angel Benten'). From there, she took and held another card out, "Spell Card - 'The Warrior Returning Alive'! It lets me target 1 Warrior-Type monster in my GY and add it into my hand."
A card ('Etoile Cyber') ejected from the GY, which Mavis took and added into her hand. At this point, there was a pleased smile on her face.
"Yes! I have everything I need," she remarked.
Emily sweated nervously, wondering if this meant Mavis was about to unveil something special or another. As expected, she did…
"I activate a Ritual Spell - 'Machine Angel Ritual'!" announced Mavis, holding a card out as the mentioned Spell Card appeared face-up on the field behind her, "This card can be used to Ritual Summon any 'Cyber Angel' Ritual Monster. I must also Tribute monsters from my hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of the Ritual Monster I Ritual Summon." She then sent a card ('Etoile Cyber') from her hand to the GY, "First, I'll send my Level 4 'Etoile Cyber' from my hand to the GY…"
'Cyber Petit Angel' then faded away in a blue streak.
"…along with my Level 2 'Cyber Petit Angel'!" Mavis went on, before taking and placing her next card onto her Duel Disk, "Come forth - 'Cyber Angel Idaten'!"
Appearing onto the field was a pink-skinned female monster with dark pink hair and gloves, as well as a black dress (Level: 6/ATK: 1600/DEF: 2000).
"If 'Cyber Angel Idaten' is Ritual Summoned, I can add 1 Ritual Spell from my Deck or GY into my hand," As Mavis spoke, a card ('Machine Angel Ritual') ejected from her GY, which she took and added into her hand, "I'll take the 'Machine Angel Ritual' from my GY and add it into my hand!"
Emily said nothing about it.
"Now, I'll activate 'Machine Angel Ritual' again!" continued Mavis, as the mentioned Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself. She then pointed at 'Cyber Angel Idaten', "I offer my Level 6 'Cyber Angel Idaten' as a tribute!"
'Cyber Angel Idaten' vanished in blue streaks.
"And now…" declared Mavis, holding another card up, "Show yourself - 'Cyber Angel Benten'!"
Appearing onto the field was the 'Cyber Angel' wielding weaponized fans (Level: 6/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1500).
"As 'Cyber Angel Idaten' was used as a tribute for anything," continued Mavis, "her effect will increase the ATK and DEF of all Ritual Monsters I control by 1000 points!"
'Cyber Angel Benten' grew stronger (ATK: 1800 - 2800/DEF: 1500 - 2500).
"And now, Emily, I'm going to attack you! 'Cyber Angel Benten', attack 'Gemini Elf'! ANGELIC TURN!"
'Cyber Angel Benten' obeyed, slashing a fan towards the two elves. 'Gemini Elf' shattered into shards of glass as a result of being destroyed, while Emily watched the scene as her LP took a hit (LP: 1900 - 1000).
"But that isn't all!" exclaimed Mavis, "The effect of 'Cyber Angel Benten' activates! If this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the GY, I can inflict damage to my opponent equal to that monster's original DEF in the GY."
'Cyber Angel Benten' slashed her second fan at Emily, hitting her head on and causing her to cry out in pain (LP: 1000 - 100).
"Alright! I've got you down to 100 LP!" cheered Mavis.
"Guess again," retorted Emily.
"Huh?"
The dark green-haired girl smirked, "The effect of the 'Damage Mage' in my hand activates!" she pointed out, readying a card in her right hand, "When I take effect damage, I can Special Summon this card from my hand, and then, if I do this, I'll gain LP equal to the amount of damage I took."
Appearing onto the field was a female Spellcaster monster dressed in purple-hooded robe with golden wings on the insides (Level: 3/ATK: 600/DEF: 1200). With a wave of her arms, a shower of golden light rained on Emily, causing her to regain LP equal to the effect damage she had taken (LP: 100 - 1000).
"Didn't see that coming," mumbled Mavis, before shaking her head, "Nevertheless, I still have the upper hand!" She slotted one last card into a Spell/Trap slot on her Duel Disk, "Finally, I'll Set one card face-down and end my turn!"
A face-down card materialized on the field.
"For someone who's just starting out, Mavis sure has a good use on that Deck," Emily thought to herself, before looking at her hand, "Still… I might still have a way to turn things around."
"Emily, it's your turn now!" called Mavis, "And even if you do manage to find a way out of this situation, I won't be defeated that easily!"
With that said, Emily drew a card and took her turn.
Turn Four: Emily Stirling (LP: 1000)
Deck: 33
Current Hand (3): "Wingweaver", "Angelic Gift", and "Graceful Charity"
On cue, the 'Graceful Charity' Spell Card materialized face-up on the field.
"I activate 'Graceful Charity'!" announced Emily, drawing three cards, "It lets me draw 3 cards, and then I must discard 2 cards from my hand."
Her drawn cards were 'Heavenly Light' (Spell Card), 'Miraculous Descent' (Trap Card), and 'Light of Redemption' (Spell Card), and she then took and sent both 'Heavenly Light' (Spell Card), 'Miraculous Descent' (Trap Card) to the GY.
"And now," Emily went on, "I'll offer both 'Damage Mage' and 'Mage of Fairies' as a Tribute!"
The two monsters vanished in blue streaks, just as the 'Wingweaver' Monster Card materialized face-up on the field in their place.
"Appear - 'Wingweaver'!"
The beautiful, six-winged fairy appeared out of the card and onto the field (Level: 7/ATK: 2750/DEF: 2400).
"I'm far from being done," As Emily spoke, she took and held another card out, "Spell Card - 'Angelic Gift'! I must banish any number of Fairy monsters from my GY. For each Fairy monster banished, I can draw 2 cards. The minimum number of monsters I can banish is 1, and the maximum number is 3!"
A card ('Mage of Fairies') ejected from her GY before fading away, allowing Emily to draw two more cards.
"I will remove 'Mage of Fairies' to draw 2 more cards," continued Emily. She then saw she had drawn 'Serapheem' (Ritual Monster Card) and 'Cestus of Dagla' (Spell Card), "Now, Mavis, I'm going to equip something to 'Wingweaver'!"
Two blade-like weapons materialized in 'Wingweaver's' hands.
"'Cestus of Dagla'! This card can be equipped only to a Fairy-Type monster. It gains 500 ATK. If it inflicts battle damage to my opponent, I'll gain LP equal to the damage inflicted."
'Wingweaver' grew stronger (ATK: 2750 - 3250).
"We'll see about that," Mavis declared as her Set card flipped face-up and revealed itself, "Continuous Trap - 'Spirit Barrier', activate! While I control a monster, I take no battle damage."
"I see," nodded Emily, "However, I'm sorry to say that I'm not finished preparing for this battle!" From there, she took and held another card out, "I activate a Spell Card - 'Light of Redemption'! I can pay 800 LP, then I can target 1 of my banished LIGHT monsters and add that target into my hand."
Mavis seemed worried, while Emily, taking a LP hit, smiled with confidence (LP: 1000 - 200). It was then a card reappeared in Emily's hand.
"The LIGHT monster I'm going to add into my hand will be 'Mage of Fairies'!" she stated, before taking the card from her hand and readying it, "Now, I'll let you add another Spell Card from your Deck into your hand, so that I can Special Summon 'Mage of Fairies' from my hand!"
As Mavis added another Spell Card ('Ritual Weapon') into her hand, 'Mage of Fairies' returned to the field.
"If I can keep 'Cyber Angel Benten' out just a little longer," Mavis thought to herself, "then next turn, I'll equip her with 'Ritual Weapon in order to boost her strength even further, and win me the duel."
Just then…
"BATTLE!" exclaimed Emily, entering the Battle Phase, "'Wingweaver', attack 'Cyber Angel Benten'!"
'Wingweaver' obeyed, flying into the air, and diving down, slicing at 'Cyber Angel Benten with her blades.
"I remove 'Machine Angel Ritual' from my GY!" interrupted Mavis, as a card ('Machine Angel Ritual') ejected from her GY, "If a LIGHT monster(s) I control would be destroyed by battle or card effect while this card is in my GY, I can banish this card instead."
A magical barrier surrounded 'Cyber Angel Benten', blocking 'Wingweaver's' attack.
"And," Mavis added, "thanks to 'Spirit Barrier' I take no battle damage because I control a monster!" She then rejoiced, "Nice try, but I'm still in this duel! Since your attack's a failure, it means you'll have to end your turn and I can take mine!"
From there…
"Are you sure about that?" asked Emily confidently.
"What?!"
"My Battle Phase is 'not' over yet," The dark green-haired girl went on, before pointing at her face-down card, "I activate a Trap - 'Urgent Ritual Art'!"
The Set card flipped face-up and revealed itself.
"'Urgent Ritual Art'?" wailed Mavis.
"If I control no Ritual Monsters, I can banish 1 Ritual Spell from my hand or GY; this card's effect becomes that card's effect that Ritual Summons a monster when the card is activated," explained Emily, before taking a card ('Heavenly Light') from her GY and holding it out, "'Heavenly Light'! This is used to Ritual Summon 'Serapheem'. I must also Tribute monsters, including 1 'Wingweaver', from my hand or field whose total Levels equal 12 or more."
"There's 'Mage of Fairies', Level 5, and…'Wingweaver', Level 7!" realized Mavis.
As expected, 'Wingweaver' and 'Mage of Fairies' vanished in streaks of blue.
"Show yourself - 'Serapheem'!" commanded Emily, holding another card up.
A bright light rained down from the heavens. And descending within that light was the evolved, alternate colored form of 'Wingweaver' (Level: 12/ATK: 2900/DEF: 2500).
"This…is not good," groaned Mavis.
"'Serapheem's' effect!" announced Emily, "This card gains 600 ATK for every LIGHT monster in my GY!" Two cards ('Wingweaver' and 'Mage of Fairies') ejected from her GY, "I count two such monsters, meaning "Serapheem' gains 1200 ATK!"
"Serapheem', glowing a golden yellow, grew stronger (ATK: 2900 - 4100).
"Since I Ritual Summoned "Serapheem' during the Battle Phase, she can attack as well!"
With that being said, 'Serapheem' unleashed a more powerful version of 'Wingweaver's Luminous Spark Rain attack, striking and destroying 'Cyber Angel Benten' in a massive explosion. However, because of the 'Spirit Barrier' Trap Card, Mavis took no battle damage. The bad news though?
"Not only that," continued Emily, "when 'Serapheem' destroys a LIGHT monster in battle, she is allowed to make another attack!"
"No!" cried Mavis (LP: 1500). "That will finish me off!"
Sadly so…
"'Serapheem', attack Mavis directly!" commanded Emily, "HOLY RAYS OF THE GODDESS!"
More beams of light rained upon the field. One beam struck in front of Mavis, causing another explosion to cloud her side of the field. When the smoke cleared away, the blonde-haired girl was on a knee in defeat.
"D-Darn it…" grimaced Mavis (LP: 1500 - 0).
DUEL RESULTS: Emily Stirling wins!
The holograms faded away, while Emily winked and did the peace sign in triumph.
"That was a fun duel," she said cheerfully.
"I guess," sighed Mavis, standing back up, "Though I thought for sure I was going to win…"
"You almost did," Emily pointed out. "With more practice, I'm sure you'll get even better," She then pointed at her friend's Duel Disk, "Besides, as we dueled, I realized you could have actually won at some point."
"Really?" asked Mavis, "How so?"
Emily started to recall some of them moments as a flashback started up.
FLASHBACK
The first clip showed Flashback Mavis using 'Cyber Angel Idaten's' effect…
"If 'Cyber Angel Idaten' is Ritual Summoned, I can add 1 Ritual Spell from my Deck or GY into my hand," As Flashback Mavis spoke, a card ('Machine Angel Ritual') ejected from her GY, which she took and added into her hand, "I'll take the 'Machine Angel Ritual' from my GY and add it into my hand!"
"You reused the first copy of 'Machine Angel Ritual' from your GY," narrated Emily, "From what we've discovered when looking through your new Deck earlier, you have two additional 'Machine Angel Rituals' in there, so you could have picked one of those copies to activate instead."
(new scene…)
The next clip was when Flashback Emily declared an attack with 'Wingweaver', who flew into the air, and diving down, slicing at 'Cyber Angel Benten with her blades.
"I remove 'Machine Angel Ritual' from my GY!" announced Flashback Mavis, as a card ('Machine Angel Ritual') ejected from her GY, "If a LIGHT monster(s) I control would be destroyed by battle or card effect while this card is in my GY, I can banish this card instead."
A magical barrier surrounded 'Cyber Angel Benten', blocking 'Wingweaver's' attack.
"Because 'Machine Angel Ritual' can be banished to negate your LIGHT monster's destruction, if you had sent a second copy of that card to the GY you could have ultimately prevented 'Cyber Angel Benten's' defeat at the hands of 'Serapheem'," Emily went on narrating, "It would have guaranteed your survival and given you a chance at potentially winning the duel."
END FLASHBACK
As the flashback ended, Mavis felt silly over her misplay.
"Oh man… I can't believe I didn't think of doing that," she groaned in dismay.
"Hey, it's an easy rookie mistake," reassured Emily, "You were caught up in the moment, and it's a mistake anybody can make. Plus, you had no idea of knowing I would Ritual Summon during my Battle Phase, so you might need to have considered the possibility that your plan might not work the way you had intended, then you would've realized that you may need to have a contingency in case of that."
"And a second 'Machine Angel Ritual' would have been the perfect contingency plan," acknowledged Mavis.
"Exactly," nodded Emily, "This is a sign that while you did well today, you still have so much to learn about playing Duel Monsters."
"I realize that now," Mavis admitted, standing back up, "I can only hope that I'll get better at the game in the future."
"I have full confidence you will," said Emily kindly, "Now, what do you say we go get some ice cream?"
"Sounds good to me," smiled Mavis.
With that said, the two best friends headed for the nearest ice cream cart to buy a frozen treat before heading home. Would Mavis become a better duelist? The times ahead could prove it, that's for sure.
End Scene
