Rey made her way back to the fleet, comming the General when she was within range.

"I trust your mission was successful," General Organa smiled.

Rey tried to stop the blush on her face, but failed miserably. "Yes, General. I believe it was."

"Excellent. We'll all make the next jump to Snoke's system, and then be prepared for chaos," General Organa informed.

"I was born in chaos," Poe smirked from behind the General. He had gone back to the main ship for his X-Wing.

"Poe, you are chaos," the General deadpanned. She nodded at Rey before ending the transmission.

Rey watched as one-by-one the ships entered hyperspace, waiting til everyone had left before jumping with them.

"Here we go."

Ben landed back in the hangar. He stared at the helmet in his hands and sighed. The helmet was starting to stifle him, and wearing it made him sick with himself. He swallowed the bile in his throat before putting his helmet back on and disembarking. He found himself pacing the ship in anticipation like a shark. If he stopped moving, he might die. His nerves were forming a knot in his spine, settling in. At the end of the day, they would either be victorious, or they would be dead, the galaxy's hope potentially dying with them. He paused in his pacing to look out the transparasteel at the space ahead. He sucked in a breath as he noticed the first of the rebel star fighters drop out of hyperspace. So it begins.

"General, we have company," he announced to Hux via the comm link.

"So it appears, Ren, so it appears," Hux replied in disgust. More ships dropped out in front of them.

"I want all TIE fighters at the ready. Recall the Knights of Ren to protect the Supreme Leader," Hux ordered.

Ben heard the sound of footfalls scrambling to follow his orders as Ben stared at his reflection in the glass.

By the time Rey had dropped out of hyperspace, the rest of the fleet was already engaged with the TIE fighters. The shields on the General's ship were mostly protecting them from the offensive runs, but it wouldn't hold for long.

"Chewwie, take over the controls. Finn, get ready to shoot down those TIEs," Rey shouted. She needed a clear path to Snoke's ship. She would be piloting an escape pod into the chaotic battle space in order to get onto the ship.

"TIEs on our six!" Finn called out before engaging.

Chewwie brought the Falcon around to give him a better shot.

"Poe," Rey called, crawling into a pod.

"What's up, Princess," Poe replied into his headset. She could see him fly by out the window of the pod.

"I need a path," she informed him.

"You can count on me. Eject when I go on my next run and ride my tail winds. Finn can cover you from behind," Poe responded, his usual lilt gone. He was in battle mode now.

"Affirmative, Commander Dameron," Rey smiled. She waited, shooting Ben a mental message that she was on her way.

Ben made his way towards the empty hangar bay. All the TIEs were out in the field and it was eerily quiet. His heart was in his throat as he watched the battle. He could see the Falcon fighting off a group of three TIEs, and he watched as Poe's X-Wing took two out before swinging by. A small speck ejected from the Falcon. Rey, Ben realized. He couldn't help the panic that set into his chest. She was defenseless, easy pickings. He watched in horror as a TIE fighter flew by, but the Falcon got to it first. His anxiety rose as Poe led her pod right through the middle of a fire fight, but to his credit, Poe made it so that nothing hit her. When she was close enough, Ben reached out in the force to guide her pod into the hangar bay. He pulled her quickly through the last leg of the space battle, guiding her out of the fire of TIEs. His heart was hammering by the time her pod safely set down in the hangar. She would be the death of him.

Rey blinked. She couldn't believe she was doing this. She had snuck onto the ship unbeknownst to the First Order... well, most of the First Order.

"Took you long enough," Ben sighed, helping her out of her pod.

"Sorry. Ran into a little turbulence," she chuckled, gesturing to the ongoing space battle outside the ship.

Ben ran his hand through his hair. "Right, you're right, I'm sorry." He was on edge.

Rey sighed, holding his hands in hers. "It'll be fine. We're ready for this. You're ready for this."

Ben pulled her close and rested his chin on her head. "I know, sunshine. I'm just worried."

Rey held him tightly before pulling away. "Let's do this."

Ben nodded and handcuffed her. It was all part of the plan. He heard a group of stormtroopers make their way into the hangar. He forcefully pushed her down the hall, putting on a show that he felt terrible about. "Come on, scavenger scum."

Rey winced slightly at the harshness, but she could tell that he was holding back, only using the amount of force necessary to put on the show. She knew he wouldn't hurt her. However, wearing the handcuffs suddenly made it feel real. This was it. They were going up against the most powerful force being in the galaxy. She felt the nerves start to set in. He led her to an elevator, their steps were quick and light. She swallowed, feeling a lump form in her throat as the doors closed on them.

Ben quickly dropped the act, looking at her with concern. "Are you scared?"

Rey shook her head. "No, why would I be?"

Liar, he thought.. Ben looked at her with soft eyes. "I won't let anything happen to you," he murmured, sliding his hand into her's. He gave it a comforting squeeze. "Whatever happens, we'll get through this together."

Rey felt her nerves start to fade away as she focused on the warmth of Ben's hand in hers. She smiled up at him, squeezing his hand back. "Together."

They took a deep breath as the elevator came to a stop. They were past the point of no return now.
