Wally winced as he listened to the new recording of Jason's latest excursion. There was a sickening thud as he assumed Two-Face as thrown onto the ground again. He was in one of the many labs on the Watchtower with Dick. Changling had just gotten back to Dicks house when they left, he looked pale, which was saying something because he was green. Dick asked him if he was okay which he just shook his head and took off, waiting for the next time Jason needed him. Wally felt bad that his friends were enduring such shitty things for him, but he was so thankful.

Dick turned up the volume and turned to Wally, "this is what is bothering me on this!" There was a rustle on the recording before they heard Two-Face speak, his voice thick with pain.

"If you say the name, they send their bird after you! Besides, it's all fake isn't it?"

Nightwing paused the recording and leveled a look at Wally who had his chin in his hand. "The only 'bird' in Gotham I know about is Robin."

"An old enemy from the depths? What does that mean?"

"I don't know, I even tried looking it up and found nothing. There's no Gotham myths or legends like what Dent was trying to say."

"And if there is then it's word of mouth only."

"Or people are killed, and the books and written stuff is destroyed." They locked eyes for a few moments before the door slid open and Dick popped the card out of the computer quickly while Wally crosses his arms and stared down the newcomer. Cyborg was typing something into his arm before he frowned at Wally. "Tracked that communication Penguin was talking about, you're not going to like it D."

Dick sighed, "I don't like any of this, what's going on?"

"It came from all over Gotham. He said it was bouncing around because he didn't know how to read it." He typed a code into his arm before it flared to life, projecting a map of Gotham onto the wall. There were dots placed all over the map, in both the slum areas and the richer neighborhoods. "See here is when the transmission started." He rolled back on the video, there was only one dot on the map, right where Slade was hiding out. "Slade received it and then…" he played the video and at once all the other dots cane to life on the map. "It wasn't being bounced. It came from all of these sources at once."

Nightwing sighed, "which means it's a group."

"Or someone with the ability to be in multiple places at once."

"Right, thanks Cy."

"No problem D-man." He powered down his arm and turned to Wally, "oh yeah Big blue and Batman want to see you. It didn't sound good."

"Of course. Thanks Cyborg. Tell them, if you see them again, I will be there shortly. They in the meeting room?" Wally said as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"They looked angry Wally; I wouldn't keep them waiting for long."

"Ugh okay. I'll go now. We good?" He turned to Dick who nodded and gave him the thumbs up.

"We good."

Wally nodded and followed Cyborg out of the room, not waiting to say bye to the metal man before zipping over to the Founder's Room. He punched in his code and was spinning in his chair before Batman could blink. He had never seen Superman blink, maybe he didn't blink? Oh my god did Superman not blink!?

"Superman do you blink!?"

Batman glared at the redhead as Superman gave him a look that just said, 'why are you the way you are'. "Yes Flash, I blink."

"Oh good! So, what's up mom and dad? What did I do this time?"

Superman sighed, "Flash we need you to be honest with us. What have you and the original Titans and sidekicks been doing on the Watchtower?"

Wally stopped spinning, staring at the two in front of him before settling on tapping his finger on the table to get his energy out. "What do you mean?"

Batman glared at him, "you all have been using League computers and going off without League orders. Not to mention Donna has been following you under the guise to learn, but so far all I've seen is her following you."

Wally narrowed his eyes at him. It was true Donna wasn't fighting with him on missions unless it was one with a league member. She was just there in case something happened. "Are you monitoring my missions now?"

"I always do."

Wally glared at them before sighing. "We're just catching up! It's nothing bad, just with the baby on the way and I'm going between Gotham and Central we don't really have time to meet up in person like we used to. Is that a crime?"

Superman sighed, "no it's not, but please be aware that other people have to use to facilities the league gives them, no more using labs to 'catch up'."

Shit. Wally nodded and stood up, "is that all?"

"You're dismissed." With that Wally left in a flurry that ruffled their capes. Clark turned to Bruce. "Think it has something to do with why Jason went AWOL again?"

"Definitely."

"What's your hunch B?"

The Bat leaned forward and placed his arms on the table. "They're investigating why someone is after Wally, but they don't want the league to know. Jason I'm guessing is the man on the inside."

"Bold accusations, they know keeping stuff that could harm a league member is against the rules here."

"When have those kids ever followed the rules?"

"Especially your kids."

Bruce sighed and stared at the door, "they'll come to us when they need us."

"They always do."

Wally threw the last thug into the cop car and shook hands with the police officer.

"Thank you Flash!"

"Just doing my job!"

The officer got into the car and started to drive away as the citizens and media surged towards the Flash. Wally laughed and signed everything he could get his hands on from the smaller kids, bending down and taking pictures with them as they cried from joy. Wally didn't do this for the hero worship, but it was nice when it happened.

"Flash! Quick question!"

"Sure thing! What's on your mind?"

The reporter thrust his microphone in Wally's face. "There have been reports that you've been going to Gotham at least once a week. Any information on that?"

"Look, Batman is a friend and fellow League member. He's great on his own and with his, what I call Bat-family," there were a couple laughs from the crowd, "but we all need help occasionally. He's the greatest detective in the world so I help him out with some of the bigger enemies, he helps me out on my cases. Pure symbiotic relationship."

The reporter opened his mouth to ask another question but Wally has already used up the five minutes he gave the crowd. "Alright guys! Gotta run!" He gave a last wave before vanishing from their sight. Within milliseconds he was in his apartment, flipping down on his couch with a sigh. He wasn't going to the manor tonight because Freeze had started acting up in Gotham. He would rather stay out of a cold fight thank you very much. He got enough of that here. With a groan he got himself up and headed towards the kitchen to fix himself something to eat before going on a civilian run. Yeah he ran as the Flash everyday but sometimes it was nice to just relax and take a run through his local park.

After his quick bite, literally, he got into the running gear Bruce gave him (there was one hundred percent a tracker in these new shoes he was sure) and slung the key to his apartment around his neck and headed out the door. He gave a half hearted waved to his neighbor before turning music on and putting his headphones in his ears. Bruce would probably have an aneurysm if he knew Wally ran while listening to music but he didn't care. The music kept him from speeding off into the distance as long as he matched his pace to the beat of the song. As he stepped out of the building into the dusk of the city he turned to the left and started his run, not seeing the North Refrigeration truck follow him.

He turned down a side alley to get the park quicker when two big men stepped in front of him. He stopped in his tracks and took out one headphone. Wally cursed under his breath. He didn't even see them! Suddenly headlights turned down the alley behind him and he almost felt relief until the truck stopped and the doors opened. Wally didn't want to turn away from the big guys out front but found himself doing that anyways. Two more people got out of the car, "you're a hard man to track down West."

"W-Who are you!?" First rule, always play the scared citizen when thugs are closing in on you.

"Come on pretty boy we don't bite."

Second rule, try to get them to fight you. "S-stay back! I have a weapon!" He went to reach into his pocket but was stopped by an arm thicker than Bruce grabbing him from behind. He immediately began thrashing. "Let me go!" He kicked his legs and heard the man holding him grunt but nothing else. Maybe he should take Bruce up on the offer to teach him proper fighting. "What are you going to do!?"

A man with a crooked smile and missing teeth came forward, a cloth in his hand. "We ain't gonna hurt ya, just calm down it will be over soon."

The smell hit Wally and he began to actually panic and the chloroform filled rag got closer to his nose and mouth. "No please! I-I'll do anything! Just let me go!"

"Hush West, don't want you bringing the Flash here now do we?" The rag pressed against his mouth and filled his senses. His vision began swimming and soon everything went black.
