Lakepelt sighed as she glanced at the center of the camp where Creamstar, Nightsong and Streamshadow's bodies were a while ago. When she had woke up, Leopardwish and Bumblepool was just carrying Nightsong's body along with Duskshade. She felt sympathy for her former crush. He had lost his only kin, if he didn't have a mate or kits. She noticed Dawnpetal and Duskshade huddled together, both of their heads touching as they grieved. She knew she longer resented Dawnpetal but she still felt a twinge of jealousy. Maybe not only because she was Duskahde mate. She had something Lakepelt didn't have. A loving mate. Lakepelt thought bitterly. Lakepelt and Fernpelt had loved each other but he had betrayed ThunderClan so he had been exiled. She felt a pang in her stomach. But it wasn't from a feeling. A kick? Lakepelt had been feeling that since after she had seen Fernpelt in the forest but she had ignored it. She had knew what it meant. Her mother had explained the experience. She knew but she wanted to confirm it. She rose and started to walk towards the medicine den, her heart rattling in her chest. She ducked her head under the ivy screen and saw Spotspring miserably organizing herbs. Since Streamshadow, her older brother, had died, Spotspring had grown despondent, keeping to herself all the time. "Spotspring!" The young cat looked up.
"Yes?" Lakepelt shuffled her paws.
"Can you check something for me?" Spotspring cocked her head sideways.
"Sure, what's wrong?"
"I think l'm expecting kits."

Low hisses of suspicion echoed through Starglade. The she-cat knew to never appear in front of anyone but she had decided to show herself in front of almost every cat in the clans. The black she-cat twitched her whiskers. "What makes you think we can trust you?" The pale grey she-cat flicked her tail.
"I thought you'll say that." She smirked. "If you don't let me," she paused and looked around the clearing before pausing her gaze on a pale brown she-cat. "You'll never know where Wavepaw is."
