Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Uta no Prince-sama. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Uta no Prince-sama is created by Broccoli as a Japanese visual novel game franchise and aired as an Anime series by A-1 Pictures.
"And she's supposed to be our Princess," scoffed a female voice.
"How could she if she killed us," asked a disappointed female voice.
"She's always been a klutz," bemoaned a female voice.
It was darkness all around Usagi. The last thing she remembered was her friends and she getting blasted by the Jakoku Suishō (Malefic Black Crystal). How Rubeus still had a piece of that crystal from Wiseman was a mystery, yet Usagi could feel the despair all around and near her. She knew some of that despair wasn't from her, but as the darkness grew, familiar voices of her long passed friends were heard in her head. It wasn't long that the familiar faces of the long black haired Rei, the long reddish brown wavy haired Makoto, the blonde haired Minako, the short, dark blue haired Ami, the short, pale blonde haired Haruka, and the wavy teal haired Michiru appeared around her. When they appeared, they looked at Usagi in contempt and disgust. Usagi took a step back as she saw those angry eyes. "She is no Princess of mine," said Haruka.
"She got us killed," said Minako.
"How we had to protect this weak girl is a mystery," said Michiru.
"Failure," mocked Ami.
"Useless," mocked Makoto.
Around and around Usagi's head, the past Senshi continued to mock Usagi on all of her faults. They would also repeat that Usagi didn't do enough to save them. Usagi cringed as she looked down on the ground. She knew that she was a failure and couldn't get her friends back after the FINAL battle. As she was holding back the tears, a golden light shined through and enveloped Usagi, making her feel peace for the first time. Usagi blinked at the warm feeling from her heart as the darkness bled away from her view. After the darkness left her, she saw her friend, Helios, in his Pegasus form. Pegasus' wings went around its body to transform back into the messy white haired boy with the kind golden brown eyes; the golden horn nestled on top of his head. "Helios," whispered Usagi, "Y-You came?"
"Princess Serenity," said Helios as he bowed, "I had felt your distress all the way towards Elysion. Using the Golden Crystal, I went into your mind and saw that your mind was warped into a nightmare that is far from the truth of yourself. I concentrated on the Golden Crystal to help heal you."
"M-Mina was right though," said Usagi sadly, "I am a failure and get people killed. Just look at my new protectors? They are stuck in their own fears, their own nightmares, because of me."
"That is not true," said Helios, "You all were not prepared for the Jakoku Suishō. Did you know Rubeus would have it?"
"Īe," said Usagi with a shake of her head.
"Did you know that he and Jadeite would use it," asked Helios.
"Īe," said Usagi once more.
"Then, you are not a failure," said Helios, "Yes, you all were ill-prepared on what kind of magic those two had, but that doesn't mean that you failed to stop them. For now, help your protectors and show that courageous heart I have seen against Queen Nehelenia."
"W-Will you help me, my friend," asked Usagi, "J-Just to heal the Starlights, Saturn, and Pluto?"
"It would be my honor, your highness," said Helios.
With that, both Helios and the awaken Usagi concentrated on their own crystals. Both closed their eyes and summoned their respective crystals into their hands. Although the Golden Crystal is destined for the Prince of Earth, Helios had some power to call upon its healing powers to help Usagi. Usagi, on the other hand, focused on STARISH and breathed in deeply. In her head, she had a mantra of 「I Can Do This 」 being repeated over and over again as the Maboroshi No Ginzuishō grew brighter and brighter. Powerful silver lights shot out to create seven beams that hit each STARISH member in the forehead, trying to break the darkness that was consuming them. The same golden light that engulfed Usagi moments ago did the same as its lights shot out from Helios's hand to create five beams that hit each Senshi in the forehead, all the while Usagi and Helios praying that they saved their friends.
- In Cecil's Mind –
"I am so proud of you, my son… Otoya," said Otoya and Cecil's mother.
Within Cecil's mind, there was turmoil. Cecil was surrounded by darkness after being hit by black energy. He remembered that Setsuna, Hotaru, and Usagi were about to warn them, but it was too late. The darkness within his mind warped into an illusion of Cecil being ignored by the same mother he doted on and his father who accepted Otoya. It also showed Cecil being nothing but a servant to his own family. His fear, though unwarranted, was Otoya being accepted into his home and he, Cecil, being discarded from his loving family. Though, he only knew Otoya was his half-brother just moments ago before rescuing his friends, this fear was still in his heart. "I am so glad that my wife found you once more," said Cecil's father, "For you are perfect in every way! Come now, new son. Let us feast and tell Agnapolis its new heir to the throne."
"C-Chichi (Father)," stuttered out Cecil.
"Oh," said Cecil's father, "It's you… uh…"
"Son," suggested Cecil's mother.
"Yes, that," said Cecil's father, "Why don't you go clean the throne room."
"But, chichi," started Cecil.
"Now, where was I," questioned Cecil's father who ignored Cecil.
"About making me heir," asked Otoya with a light smile.
"Yes, that," said Cecil's father.
Cecil could only watch as Otoya, their mother, and Cecil's father walk away, leaving Cecil feeling alone and dejected. It wasn't long that a silver light engulfed Cecil's body, coaxing him to realize that this fear was untrue. Cecil could feel the warmth giving him hope that everything would be alright, that Otoya will not take over Cecil's place within his family, that Otoya was another part of his family and will gladly become his brother once the truth comes out. With that warmth and hope in him, Cecil sighed in relief before the darkness surrounding him melted away.
- In Ren's Mind –
"I've sent you to Saotome Academy so that you can make our parents' company look good," said an angry male voice, "But, apparently, you are a drop out!"
Ren was surrounded in darkness before it bled to reveal himself in front of his older brother. He looked down to see that he was wearing his Saotome Academy's uniform, the one that was before being in the Master Course. Looking up, he saw the angry glare that his older brother gave him as files hit the desk that sat between the two. Ren winced inwardly at the anger. "Well," commanded the older brother, "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"G-Gomen (I'm sorry), onīsan (older brother)," said Ren sullenly.
"Sorry isn't going to cut it," said the older brother with a sigh, "How could our parents create such a disappointment."
Ren winced once more, outwardly this time. He knew he was a screw up, but he thought that his older brother took his choice away about being an idol. It wasn't long that a silver light engulfed Ren, coaxing him to remember the times that Nanami Haruka got him to believe in his voice once more. The warmth also made him remember the excellent fashion show that he, along with STARISH, participated in, leading to his older brother congratulating him on a job well done. With that, Ren sighed in relief as the darkness bled away from him.
- In Tokiya's Mind –
"You lied to us, Tokiya," said a sullen male voice.
"If that IS his real name," mocked another male voice.
Tokiya looked at his surroundings to only see darkness. It wasn't long that he was outside near the Saotome Academy's lake and saw his angry members, Otoya looking sad. They all were glaring at him and saying what a liar he was. Others commented that he wanted to steal STARISH's light so that HE could look perfect in front of Nanami Haruka. Tokiya shook his head as he backed up from the angry accusations. "I don't know why you are even ON STARISH," said Natsuki with a shake of his head.
"He already missed a lot of practice time," said an angry Shō.
"Probably because he knows that if he does, he'll mess up STARISH," said an angry Ren.
"Ichinose," muttered Masato with a disappointed shake to his head, "Don't bother coming. We already have Aijima. He'll replace you as our sixth member."
Tokiya stepped back more as the other STARISH members sighed sadly. He knew that they were mad at him for keeping his identity as the famous Hayato from them. In his heart, he still felt guilty for missing practice and not telling them his secret. Tokiya was about to turn away from STARISH until silver light engulfed him. That light reminded him that STARISH already forgave him for the deceit. It relieved him about being a replacement and showing another memory of Aijima Cecil JOINING the group to create a seven-member STARISH group. Tokiya sighed when he felt that warmth and hope in his heart, the darkness bleeding away from his surroundings.
- In Natsuki's Mind –
"You are crazy," gasped a male voice in fear.
"Who knew that Natsuki has a bipolar disorder," said a disappointed male voice.
"Maybe we shouldn't have him in the group," suggested another male voice.
Natsuki blinked as darkness surrounded his vision before bleeding away to seeing STARISH talking to him. Next to him, he could see his other self, Satsuki, glaring at STARISH for their comments. It wasn't his fault that his mind split when his music was stolen long ago. Satsuki was just there to protect him from the hurt of betrayal. When the comments kept on coming, Natsuki and Satsuki winced. "Satsuki is dangerous," shivered Cecil.
"I don't feel safe with him sharing a body with Natsuki," said a worried Otoya.
"Natsuki," said Tokiya, "You either get rid of Satsuki or you are out of STARISH."
"Nani," whispered Natsuki.
"You heard Ichi," said Ren, "We need to feel safe, but we don't feel it with that dangerous person in you."
"D-Demo (But), he is a part of me," said Natsuki.
Natsuki then found himself alone with only Satsuki with him. Satsuki kept on muttering that they were better off without STARISH. It wasn't until silver light hit Natsuki and Satsuki both, coaxing them to the truth. Natsuki and Satsuki relieved the memory of how everyone found out about Satsuki. Even though Satsuki was harsh to all of them, EVERYONE was there to help Natsuki out. Even though Satsuki was tucked away into Natsuki's mind, STARISH still accepted Natsuki and continued to do everything with him. With that warmth, Natsuki had his eyes close and a smile on his face as the darkness went away.
- In Setsuna's Mind –
There was nothing in front of Setsuna, only darkness. Her heart could feel the loneliness as when she would guard the Gates of Time, away from the rest of the Senshi. She stood right in front of the faux Gates of Time to see all of her supposed friends move on with their lives, not once asking on where Setsuna was. It wasn't until a golden light engulfed Setsuna, filling her heart with warmth. Memories of Usagi coaxing Setsuna out and about…of Hotaru skipping in her child-like form and calling her Setsuna-mama… of STARISH trying to include her in things… of her dream as a famous fashion designer becoming true filled her head. With a smile, Setsuna blinked her eyes to see a glowing Usagi using the Ginzuishō to heal STARISH before turning to see… "Helios," questioned Setsuna.
- In Hotaru's Mind –
Hotaru could feel the loneliness once more as she was in a memory of her being alone and talked about behind her back. Past classmates were glaring at her for what she accidentally did to one of her classmates days ago. Shivering, Hotaru could only see the darkness that surrounded her when she was Mistress Nine as she stumbled into a clearing. She was all alone, and there were no friends that she could go to. Her mind always told her that she never had any friends, but in her heart, she knew that thought wasn't true. It wasn't long that a golden light circled around Hotaru, chasing the darkness away. The golden light then seeped into Hotaru's skin, making her feel warm. Hotaru was then bombarded with memories of Chibi-Usa, of fighting alongside the Senshi, of becoming good friends with STARISH despite them knowing Usagi and her past, and of Usagi herself. It was then that the darkness went away to reveal Usagi and Helios glowing in the center of the people affected from the Jakoku Suishō. "Setsuna-mama," questioned Hotaru.
"Hotaru," said Setsuna in relief.
"W-Will Usa-chan be alright," asked Hotaru.
"I'm sure she will be," said Setsuna, "But, just in case, be ready to lend some energy to Helios and hime."
"Hai," said Hotaru.
- In The Starlights' Mind –
They didn't know why they were surrounded by darkness together, but they believed it was their same energies as being Star Senshi that did it. Once the darkness bled away, the three were shocked to see Kakyū-hime dying in front of them. They were surprised by Usagi's dead protectors coming back and surrounding them. They couldn't even block what they said. "Why could YOUR hime come back and we couldn't," accused Rei.
"You let our hime live without her protectors," accused Makoto.
"I knew those Outsiders were no good," said an angry Haruka.
"Usagi-chan is all alone now," whined Minako.
"Why did you have to come to our Solar System and bring Galaxia here," accused Michiru, "You should have been strong enough and not lead the evil to our planet!"
The Starlights stared in horror at what the other Senshi were saying to them. Of course, they still felt guilty about their deaths. They always thought that without them coming to Earth, the other Senshi would have lived, and Usagi would have been happy instead of a shadow of herself. However, they came back to Earth to protect her, with the blessings of Kakyū-hime. Their guilt will not go away, but they feared that Usagi would still think that she'll be alone. Golden light surrounded the three as memories of Usagi finally smiling as she made new friends. They saw Usagi being her old, child-like, innocent self that was hanging out with them and STARISH. They also saw Usagi's birthday party that was filled with all of her loved ones. That memory, however, was weird since they never actually GOT to be at her party that year. But, seeing her smiling and healing from all that grief made them smile. Golden light blinded the three as the darkness fled away from them, only for the Starlights to see Helios stop glowing and almost collapse if it wasn't for the quick catching of Taiki. "Thank you, Maker-san," said Helios.
"Thank YOU for saving us from the darkness," said a grateful Seiya.
"Now, it is up to Usagi-hime to save the rest of STARISH," said a worried Hotaru.
"The others," asked Yaten who looked around.
"They collapsed from the healing and are now resting," said Setsuna who gestured to the unconscious forms for Cecil, Ren, Natsuki, and Tokiya.
- In Masato's Mind –
"I said NO," yelled out Masato's father.
"D-Demo," started Masato.
It was dark around Masato's eyes before the illusion of him being younger was bowing and begging his father about something. Masato remembered this memory well. It was when he was asking his father to let him become an idol. He kept on wincing when his father yelled at him, his head bowed and touching the floor. He never DID stand up to his father by just looking at him straight at his face. He knew that one day he would have to return and face this fear, but this memory of his found fear was troubling. It ended in a different matter entirely, meaning his father still said no to his request and sent him away. With a heavy heart, Masato was about to walk away until a silver light surrounded him. He remembered that he DID achieve his dream to be an idol with STARISH. Although he still had to face his father once two years are up, he would make being with STARISH the best memories ever. With that, Masato closed his eyes as he felt hope in his heart about facing his father, the darkness ebbing away.
- In Shō's Mind –
"Gomen, nīsan," said a male voice, "But, kāchan (mother) forbids you from becoming an idol."
Shō looked around before he spotted his younger twin brother, Kaoru, in front of him. There was sadness in his eyes that Shō remembered seeing when he was in the hospital to monitor his heart condition. When the words registered in his mind, he felt as if his dreams went away. He really wanted to be an idol, especially after seeing Hyūga Ryūya on TV that one time. Sighing sadly, Shō just sat next to Kaoru and started to weep. He thought that his mother was being unfair for not letting him try, even with his heart condition. "W-Why can't mama let me try," said Shō as more of his dreams shattered.
"And let you bomb the audition," scoffed Kaoru who's personality did a 180, "You know that I'M the more talented of the two. You'll just fail at the audition due to your heart condition and make our family a laughing stock."
"K-Kaoru," asked Shō in shock.
"You know it's true," said Kaoru, "Even your dancing needs work… shorty."
Shō could hear Kaoru still mocking him, bringing his dreams and self-esteem lower and lower. He wanted to just crawl away and hide underneath his blanket. It wasn't until warmth and determination filled his heart and spread over his body. It also wasn't until the same warmth generated a silver light that brought back memories of Shō being accepted into Saotome Academy, of him being with STARISH and becoming a member, and of all the conquered hardships he faced. Shō smirked as he felt his confidence come back, his dream restoring, right before the darkness that was around him vanished.
- In Otoya's Mind –
"It's fun being around you," said a male voice.
"Your smiles heal those around you," said another male voice.
"Your smiles are the sun," said another male voice.
"You have the best smiles again today," said another male voice.
"Otoya," said another male voice.
Otoya was surrounded by darkness before it transformed into a stage. On that stage, Otoya was surrounded by the members of STARISH, his friends. Otoya was smiling so happily at them all. While greeting his friends happily, he didn't know that this would turn for the worst. It also started with Tokiya's comment. "Your smiles are fantastic," said Tokiya who was clapping before he did a 180, "But, they're a lie?"
"I'm disappointed," said Shō.
"I trusted you," said Cecil.
"You're a liar," said Masato.
"I can't believe you're even smiling now," said Ren.
"I don't want to be around you anymore," said Natsuki.
With that, Otoya grabbed his head and sank to his knees. He felt as though he shouldn't be a part of STARISH if he was a liar. He started to run in his mind to a faraway memory that he had forgotten about. He looked to see his frail aunt and a younger him smiling. The younger Otoya hugged his aunt and said that what they made was a promise before sunflowers surrounded Otoya and started to burn. It wasn't long that a powerful silver light started to emit behind him before hitting his body and surrounding him with warmth. There, instead of the loneliness in the dark, Otoya was surrounded by STARISH, Usagi, Nanami, the Starlights, Hotaru, Setsuna, and Tomochika. He was bombarded by memories of how happy he made Usagi, of how he joked and laughed with STARISH, Nanami, ad Tomochika, of how Setsuna made him relax during fashion shows, of Hotaru rarely giving him a smile for being there for Usagi, and of the Starlights hanging out and learning more about him. Closing his eyes, he thought, 'I want to see them. I want to see everyone.'
- In The Clearing –
"Otoya," asked Natsuki.
"Natsuki," said Otoya slowly.
"Welcome back, Otoya," said Shō.
Otoya blinked his red eyes and looked around. There, he saw all of his friends, still in Senshi form, sitting around the clearing where they finished off the three fairies and the Dōbutsu Trio. He blinked when he saw an unfamiliar person, who was leaning against Hotaru's frame from exhaustion, with them. It wasn't until he turned his eyes to Usagi to see her unconscious that Otoya gaped in surprise. "What happened," asked Otoya.
"Usagi exhausted herself while healing us," explained Tokiya.
"Yes," said Cecil, "You were the last one to be out of the trance."
"S-So, it is my fault," asked Otoya sadly.
"Īe," said Setsuna, "This has always been Usagi's personality to worry about everyone before herself."
"And," said Hotaru, "Using up most of her energy to heal those she care about."
Otoya nodded his head slowly at the information. If what he remembered from Usagi, she would not want others to worry about her, despite her grieving for her past protectors. Otoya was about to get up off of the floor, but was held down by Masato and Cecil. Both didn't want Otoya to collapse because his energy wasn't back yet. Pouting at being restrained, Otoya turned to the other person in the area and asked who he was. "This is Helios," explained Setsuna, "He is the Guardian of the Golden Crystal and the high-priest of Elysion."
"He came to help Usagi heal everyone from the effects of the Jakoku Suishō," said Yaten.
"Arigatō," said Otoya, "For helping us."
"It is my pleasure, my prince," said Helios with a smile.
"E-Eh," exclaimed Otoya, "I-I'm not royalty!"
"Once you have accepted being the next heir to Earth, you became royalty," said Helios with no room for others to argue.
"Anyways," interrupted Seiya, "What are we going to do now?"
"Now, we let Usagi rest before we head to where Jadeite and Rubeus is," said Taiki.
"And they are," asked a worried Cecil.
"In the throne room with the queen and king," said a solemn Setsuna.
"I was afraid you would say that," groaned Shō.
AN: Woo~wee~! This is my longest chapter yet! But! You ALL had to know what their fear is, ne? ( ◜◡‾) Anyways, for STARISH's fears, they were part of their history biographies that were tweaked by me. The expection is Cecil who I tweaked it about his family. The other exception is Otoya's, which is part of Uta no Prince-sama's Season 4 Episodes 9 and 10 combined. The part for Episode 10 is also tweaked though. |_-。) Anyways, happy reading and see ya next chapter! ^.~
*Bad Promotion: Did you ever wonder why Otoya from Uta no Prince-sama and Riku from IDOLISH7 look similar? If you do, my one-shot version about that similarity is up on fanfiction, entitled Otoya: The Missing Sibling Found. Just go into my profile and read to your hearts content! (^^)v*
