*I'm in Hidari Wakibara Coffee Shop with Kaido and Nendou. Follow and rescue me if you like.*

Emiko checked her phone as soon as her extracurriculars finished. Kusuo can be so dramatic sometimes. She smirked and rolled her eyes thinking about her psychic friend. He's used mind control so many times as he "messed with the world," so he could easily control their classmates not to follow him around if he wished.

"What a drama queen. He'll realise that he does enjoy their company sooner or later." She said with a smirk as she typed a reply to Kusuo.

*I'll follow soon. You need to learn how to be a good and play nice with other kids your age.* She knew he would always react whenever she teased and spoke to him like he was a child. Seeing his response was always amusing. She smiled as she sent it.

*Yare yare. Who made you my mother?*

Emiko's smile got wider.

*Quiet, Kusuo. That's no way to speak to your mom!*

*You're annoying.*

*I know! :D*

She took her time getting to the cafe as she liked walking around the city at the calmness of it before it bustled with people who had just left work. She saw the cafe Kusuo was in. It was a large one unlike the ones they usually hung out in. She was about to enter when she saw another text from Kusuo.

*Teruhashi and Yumehara are sitting by the entrance so you'll see them first. Please don't let them know I'm here.*

Emiko narrowed her eyes. They saw each other regularly, why would he ignore them?

*Why?* She had to ask.

'I just realised you were within my radius for me to tell you this telepathically.' Kusuo told her.

'You just made me very curious, you know that?'

'You're nosy that's why.'

'I'm not! Now hurry and tell me. It's kind of weird for me to be loitering outside the coffee shop.'

'I just realised that you're going to tease me, so no. I won't tell you.'

'Ohoho! This must be juicy, yeah?'

'I changed my mind.'

'Whatever it is, I'm going to find out and tease you tenfold since you won't tell me.'

'How are we even friends?'

Emiko, after standing for an awkward amount of time outside the cafe, walked in.

"Emi-chan!"

She turned her head to the direction of her two friends Chiyo and Kokomi.

"Sit with us, Emiko!" Kokomi said perfectly (however you may want to interpret that).

"Thanks, guys!" She said as she sat down. She was given a menu by the waitress who told Emiko to just motion to her when she's decided what to order. "Are you guys here a lot?"

"I go here to study sometimes!" Kokomi said.

"Oh, okay! Well, it's my first time. What should I get?"

"You're a matcha person, right?" Kokomi asked 'Of course she's a matcha person. I know that because I'm the perfect person who remembers things about her friends!'

"Aw, you remember! Yep! Matcha all the way!"

"Well, they have a nice ice cream here that's matcha paired with azuki (red bean paste)!"

"Hm, that sounds perfect! Thanks, Kokomi!"

'Of course it sounds perfect! I suggested it!' The blue haired beauty thought to herself. "You're welcome!"

After ordering her ice cream, she looked intently at the two of her friends. Now what was it that made Kusuo not want them to know of his presence?

'You're annoying.' He told her.

'Yes, we've established that, thank you. Now here's how a pro gets info without mind reading.'

After telepathically conversing with his adorably annoying friend, Kusuo pinched the bridge of his nose.

"So, what were you guys talking about before I arrived?"

The two smiled nervously knowing that the object of their affection was Emiko's best friend.

"Oh, you know, just crushes and stuff." Chiyo said in a chirpy manner.

"Do you have a crush on anyone?" Kokomi asked the pink haired girl.

"Hmmm... No. I never really thought about it. Been preoccupied with other things. Do you, Kokomi? Chiyo?"

"What? N-no!" Aha. Seeing their strange reaction to crushes, she knew that one of the girls, or possibly both might fancy her best friend. It adds up since Kusuo doesn't want to interact with them at all.

"But there are quite a few cute guys on campus, yeah?"

"Y-yeah! There are quite a few." Chiyo said nervously.

"You know Hairo is pretty cute!" Emiko said as not to sound suspicious.

Both girls nodded and gave their opinion that he's one guy they wouldn't mind dating hypothetically if he wasn't so crazy.

"Reita also! Although he's quite perverted. Wouldn't wanna date him. Kaido's cute too, no?"

Both girls nodded and the three reached a consensus that both were too immature.

"You know," Emiko started "Kusuo is pretty good looking if you ask me!"

Both girls choked on their drinks making Emiko smile and confirm her suspicions.

'Well, what do you know? You seem to be quite the heart-throb after all.'

'I hate you.'

'You don't.'

"He-he's okay! He's... Too quiet." Kokomi said.

"Yeah! He's too mysterious for me!" Chiyo agreed.

After denying their crush on the pink haired boy, both awkwardly took a sip from their drinks while suspecting each other to have a crush on Saiki.

Just then, a wrapper of a straw flew to their area and from the booth beside theirs, and Nendou's head poked out to apologise only to see his classmates in surprise.

"Oh my gal is here! What's up? Teruhashi and Yumehara too!"

Chiyo and Kokomi panicked in knowing that Saiki was in the booth next to theirs. Did he hear their conversation before Emiko arrived?

Not wanting any trouble between the two girls, Kusuo made Chiyo's face red when Kaido approached and Kokomi's face red when Nendou was near her making both assume that the other didn't like Saiki. This made the relationship between the two easier as they didn't view each other as rivals any longer.

On the way home, the two Saiki lovers were cheerful and good-natured and had a spring in their step as they walked. Emiko walked a little behind them with a smirk in their face.

'Their mood increased significantly when they saw you, hm?' Emiko told Kusuo.

'Quiet.'

'For someone not wanting attention, you managed to attract the queen bee.'

'And the other queen bee happens to be my best friend. One is enough. Maybe I'll let you go so you can bother someone else.'

'Well aren't you sour?' Emiko glanced back at Kusuo giving him teasing look.

When all six of them parted ways, Emiko thought about how two of her friends had a crush on Kusuo. It was funny seeing how it ticked him off so much-at first, but although it was a very, very faint feeling, she was a bit bothered by it and didn't know why. Would she get replaced if Kusuo favoured their company over hers?

'You're being ridiculous. Kusuo isn't the type to discard a friend.' She told herself.

She entered her house and sat on her couch still feeling bothered. She thought about how she was always understanding and perceptive when it came to her friends but she lacked those qualities when it came to herself. She always did what felt right at the moment, or when something was beneficial to someone else, never giving herself an ounce of thought. She'd been like that ever since she was a child. If she wasn't out hanging out or making friends, when she wasn't cooking, creating something, or spending time with her family, she was alone studying about, well, anything. She liked learning about many different things except herself. Her powers were an exception of course.

Not improving from her realisation, she eventually pegged all her thoughts and decided that she'll give herself more thought next time. She then stood up and walked to the kitchen thinking about what she should prepare for dinner.

Sorry for the short chapter! Will make it up and update soon!
