I bit my lip.
-"The wardens may behead me in the spot."
Karrin was pressed against my shoulder and I felt her swallowing spit.
-"Then we may walk together on the other side."
I hugged her with all my might.
-"No. I will make you walk tonight. If the reaper comes to collect me, I will part knowing you-"
Her lips crashed against mine.
My first kiss wasn't gentle, it was full of despair and fear.
When we parted, gasping for air, she had a feral grin.
-"This may be our last chance to pop your cherry. You w-"
I placed a finger on her lips.
-"I will need all my strength to mend your back. I dare not left my work unfinished for I won't have another chance. Warden Morgan is on the clinic, were all my supplies reside."
I did some quick calculations and focused my mind in remembering which stores were open today.
-"Take a long bath with salt and vinegar. I will be back in two hours."
I stood up and reached for the door.
-"Gods willing, you will walk tonight."
