Seventh Year. November 18th. 10:00pm. Scorpius Malfoy's Suite.

Rose Weasley was a complete bitch.

Scorpius laid on his bed, strumming his fingers on his stomach. He turned his head to the side and stared out the balcony glass doors. Looked like Rain.

He sighed hard. Weasley had completely fucked up his date with Chandra. It was so goddamn unnecessary. Did she really HAVE to have the common room that night? As if she couldn't study in her room for ONE night?

And the bullshit she said to him?

He couldn't believe the balls on that girl. Insinuating that he wanted her. Making him look like some pathetic man boy, pining over her.

No way. Not Scorpius Malfoy.

I mean, yeah, he had an erection but that wasn't due to her. Chandra started that.

Right?

Gods! The mouth on that winch! The way she spoke to him sometimes! She was trying to manipulate him, she was.

I mean, sure, he may have had a few...intimate dreams about her. But that was hormones!

Sure, he had almost kissed her in her bedroom once, as Rose so cruelly pointed out, but she was going to kiss him too! They were having a fit of hormones! Hormones! It wasn't real, it was an illusion.

Scorpius blew out a hard breath and sat up, staring into the embers of his dying fire as it gave the room a soft glow. He stretched his long limbs, got up, and paced his room a bit. The light of the full moon illuminated his shirtless torso and silk pajama bottoms.

He hadn't spoken to her since the Chandra blow up. He was so sick of her stupid fucking face. Her filthy fucking mouth. The way her voice had that little melody to it when she said his surname. The way her lips pursed when she was about to say something REALLY wild.

Those big blue eyes. Gods! Those eyes!

Scorpius stopped pacing abruptly. He was so SICK of doing this. He was tired of these weird moments of contemplation. He was TIRED of thinking about Rose Weasley.

And yet here he was. She was a curse.

She was his curse.

Damn Her! He was NOT going to let her have this kind of control over him.

He couldn't STAND Rose Weasley. He hated EVERYTHING about her.

And he was NOT going to let her get away with it.

It was time that he put that girl in her place. He needed to make her understand the depths of his hatred towards her. She needed to understand that she was inconsequential to him and that she had no power over him. Her insinuation that he fancied her lit a fire in him.

How DARE she try to tell him how HE felt. As if he didnt know his own feelings? She needed to learn exactly who the fuck Scorpius Malfoy was.

And tonight. She would.

Scorpius was resolute. It was time. He was going to end their friendship. The real world was approaching and, lets face it, they probably wouldn't have much to do with each other after school anyway.

Scorpius' face screwed up in irritation as he felt a familiar pang hit his chest hard at the thought of them no longer being friends.

See! That was it. That was the reason why he had to do this. There was absolutely no way that Scorpius Malfoy would ever allow Rose Weasley to affect his feelings. He needed to shut this down before it was too late.

Too late? What did that mean?

Scorpius shook his head. It was time.

He strode resolutely to his door and swung it open with force. He looked down at the first floor. She wasn't there. He walked over to her room. He didn't bother to knock and swung the door straight open.

She wasn't there.

The room was dimly lit but Scorpius could just make out the flutter of her curtain as a breeze passed through it.

He shook his head again and looked over towards the balcony doors. Finally, he saw her. Standing out on the balcony on a far too cold night in November.

He stood to his tallest height and disregarded the pang he felt in his chest upon seeing her. He needed to collect his courage and be a man about this. The mere fact that he was hesitant like this only reinforced why he needed to end this friendship. Now.

He walked over to the slightly ajar balcony door and pulled it open. She didn't seem to notice him. She was staring out over the vast expanse of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry. He hesitated for a moment before stepping out into the night and stood staring at her.

And in that moment, as if the universe had commanded her, she turned around and saw him.

She flinched for a moment at his sudden appearance behind her. "Gods, Malfoy! You scared me to death!"

He narrowed his eyes, blew out a breath, and met his destiny.

"I hate you."
