Bakugo screamed in pain as he plunged his hands in boiling water before pulling them out to release a massive explosion into the air. His Quirk training revolved around exposing his hands to boiling water to expand his sweat glands and thus increase the effectiveness of his explosions.
Todoroki sat in a barrel and repeatedly increased the temperature inside the water to boil it before freezing it and the surrounding area. By doing this process, he is working on increasing his resistance to changes in temperature from his Quirk while also controlling the destructive power of his flames.
Sero stood on his knees, screaming in pain as more and more tape dispensed from his elbows, shooting over a mountain like area. His training for the most part worked on increasing the capacity and the tensile strength of his tape.
Kirishima hardened his body as he was struck repeatedly by Ojiro's tail, blocking the attack with all of his effort. In Kirishima's case, it improved on his defensive power while Ojiro's Tail became more resistant to pain.
Tatsuma in his leviathan form roared in pain as he dove in and out of a boiling lake of water, while drinking from a nearby waterfall each time he jumped out of the boiling lake. His training involved boosting the durability of his scales in warmer temperatures and bolstering the length of his Leviathan form by drinking water constantly.
Sakamata meanwhile was underwater where the waterfall was located as she bench pressed a car. Her training involved how long she could dive in deep water without being crushed by water pressure and how long she could breathe underwater.
Kaminari hooked himself to a battery and shocked himself repeatedly, clearly having his brains fried virtually seconds ago. By running his currents into a battery, it helped him handle electricity in greater volts.
Koda screamed into the sky, gathering the attention of nearby woodland creatures, drawn to his voice. His vocal exercises revolved around both increasing the range of his Quirk as well as removing his shyness.
Aoyama shot into the sky using his navel laser while stationing himself near a portable toilet in case he suffers indigestion. His training focused on building up the range of his laser while also resolving his indigestion.
Dark Shadow could be heard roaring inside a dark cave, running amok in the darkness as Tokoyami struggled to maintain control of his sentient Quirk. This exercise focused on the latter attempting to control his Quirk whenever it grew rebellious.
Uraraka, meanwhile, rolled inside a literal ball as she attempted to not vomit. Her training involved reducing nausea by building up her inner ear canals and increasing how much she can lift using Zero Gravity.
Iida on the other hand, sprinted all over the training camp, with his engines at full blast. His training was rather normal for the most part, building up leg strength and stamina.
Asui climbed up a large mountain using only her tongue as a tether. Her training involved working out every last muscle in her body, especially her tongue.
Sato and Yaoyorozu munched down repeatedly on sweets as the former lifted weights while the latter produced small dolls at a rapid pace. The former's training improved the strength of Sugar Rush while the latter's shortened the amount of time she needs to use Creation.
Jiro jabbed her earphone lobes into stone to amplify the audio quality of her Quirk, Ashido produced acid at a rapid rate to increase the durability of her skin and Obihiro scraped his hands sliding across the wall as he transmuted it constantly, to work on improving his skin's tolerance to rough surfaces.
Mineta ripped off the bulbs on his head while his scalp bled constantly. This training increased his scalp's durability.
Takane jabbed her stinger in nearby fruit in the forest as she vomited countless silk as she did. The former action worked on the sharpness of her stinger while the latter action focused on improving the inebriation, the silk causes.
Shoji had his tentacle arms create multiple appendages to pinpoint and locate Hagakure who was currently sneaking around him. This little game of hide and seek improved the former's Dupliarms and the latter's natural stealth.
Lastly there was Midoriya who was sparring with Tiger of the Wild Wild Pussycats, a macho man in a brown dress adorned with cat appendages. This training resolved on improving his Quirk's effectiveness and how long he could use it without breaking down.
Many hours of agonizing pain later...
"Now remember what I said", Pixie-Bob told the group, "We're not serving you food anymore!"
"If you guys wanna eat", Ragdoll continued, "you'll have to make your own food. Starting with curry!"
"Yes ma'am", the students said with apathy.
"Oh man you guys look exhausted", Ragdoll giggled, "But that doesn't mean you can slack off by making sloppy cat food"
"I see", Iida inquired, "An important part of saving someone recovering from a disaster is providing for their physical and spiritual needs. This is a great opportunity!"
"You're kidding right?", Tatsuma raised a brow.
"Let's make the most delicious curry in the world everyone!", Iida ignored him.
"Yeah, okay."
Using his quirk, Todoroki roasted a fire underneath his grill.
"Hey Todoroki, can we get some fire over here too?", Ashido asked.
"Bakugo, use an explosion to light thaat" Sero said.
"This is so beneath me!", the boy grumbled as he blew up the grill.
"That's too much!" Tokoyami's eyes widened.
"Rely in others and you'll never learn to start a fire yourself", Yaoyorozu reprimanded, "We should focus on acquiring new skills." Using her Quirk, she created a lighter to light up her grill.
"Yeah *nom* that's like the number *nom* *nom* one rule of survival of the fittest", Yuuki gobbled down on her curry before vomiting out after realizing how terrible it tasted.
Tatsuma meanwhile was using flint to try and get a spark to create a fire underneath his grill.
"Darn it. How do people actually do this?!"
"Here", Todoroki walked up to his grill, "I'll handle it." He ignited his left arm and placed it under the grill, igniting it.
"Wow! Thanks", Uraraka cheered.
"You're so cool Todoroki!", Ashido added.
"Thanks I guess...", Tatsuma rubbed the back of his head.
Todoroki just smiled.
Later that night, both Class 1-A and 1-B scarfed down on their curry. It wasn't particularly tasty but it was worth the effort of making it.
Meanwhile
"I do not like this. It's so not cute!" Toga complained as she put on her mask.
"They were engineered for the black market from what I heard.", Mustard argued, "You should be worried that they work, not if they're pretty."
"I'm just saying they could be more stylish. Is that too hard to ask?"
"Hi darlings!", Magne greeted the two school children, "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"Get to work...", Moonfish hissed.
Spinner, Dabi, Muscular and Lady Scorpio soon arrived shortly after.
"That makes eight of us.", Dabi concluded.
"I don't care", Muscular groaned, "Just let me loose. I'm too pumped up to stand by."
"No no Muscular", Lady Scorpio chastised. "What good is it to squash prey if you can't relish in their fear beforehand? That's what makes the chase all worth it."
"Shut your mouth you lunatics.", Dabi muttered. "We wait. We're still expecting three more people to join our little party. The League of Villains made a mistake going after these brats with a bunch of thugs at U.S.J. Better to use a small group of elites. First things first, take away their sense of peace and show them that their lives rest in our hands."
The Next Morning
"Don't lose focus and keep going faster. Just remember where you started from. Don't forget who you were before U.A. Always keep in mind why you're sweating and why your limits keep getting tested. That's what it means to improve."
Aizawa's words resonated throughout Class 1-A as they rigorously trained their Quirks.
"Where I started from", Katsuki thought as he plunged his hands into a barrel of boiling water.
"Who I am", Shoto, wondered, freezing the container he sat in before igniting it.
"How I got here", Izuku pondered, repeatedly striking the air.
"Why I'm sweating", Ryuusuke inquired, dunking himself into a lake of boiling water.
"Hey that reminds me Mr. Aizawa", Izuku walked up to the rugged man, "It's already the third day of camp."
"Weren't you listening?", he glared, "Stay focused."
"I was just wondering if All Might- I mean the other teachers from U.A. will be joining us."
"Like I said before we came out here. To keep a camp a secret from villains, hardly anyone knows where we are."
"That's why you get to work out with us four pussycats!", Ragdoll shouted from above a slope.
"And think about it" Aizawa added, "We believe All Might is one of the League's targets, so we can't have him here. It's for your own safety. That's what happens when you stand out so much for better or for worse."
"Meow meow meow! More importantly tonight's gonna be fun.", Pixie-Bob said.
"Fun?", Ryuusuke gulped.
"We're pitting classes against each other in a test of courage. I know you've been training hard today. And later, you'll get to play hard!"
"I think the Pussycats have a different definition of than we do...", Ryuusuke told Izuku.
"It just sounds like more training..."
"And training in the dark no less..."
"Revelry in the dark..."
"How much can we do in one day..."
"Least we get to beat Class A, am I right?"
Later that day...
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow..."
Ryuusuke's skin was blistering with heat as he walked down to a nearby table, before grabbing a bottle of water and splashing it all over himself to stave off the burns he got from training.
"Looks like you've been through a lot", Yuuki approached him, clearly soaked from her prolonged underwater weight lifting.
"My skin is on fire...", he responded, before remembering something. "Come to think of it, there's something I wanted to ask you."
"Oh really."
"It's about when you kissed me back when we were studying during the finals"
"What do you want?", she chuckled.
"No it's not that", Ryuusuke shook his head, "It's just that when you kissed me, I felt a wave of emotions I never felt before. Particularly I felt 'warm' inside despite the fact I thought you were joking about the kiss. When I asked my sister about it, she said it was 'puppy love' of sorts."
"Puppy love?", Yuuki rolled her eyes, "You're really gonna listen to your sister's babbling?"
"It's just that I was wondering, do you think of me the same way?"
"Huh?"
"When you kissed me, did you feel the same way as I did?"
Yuuki's eyes widened in shock.
"Err...", she scratched her head, "I suppose I guess, I dunno. I never kissed anyone before let alone a guy. It's just I acted on impulse when I did it."
"I see", Ryuusuke stood up, "So you didn't know what you were doing when you kissed."
"I guess?", she responded with anger in her voice, the blush on her face betraying her voice, "Why are you so hung up about some stupid kiss?!"
"Why are you being so defensive about some kiss?"
"ARGH! You're impossible, you know that?! It's not my fault you're the only guy that I know who doesn't see me as some freak!"
"So you do like me...", Ryuusuke looked down, chuckling a little.
"I DID NOT SAY THAT!", She roared in denial, stomping on his foot, "STOP TRYING TO PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH YOU ASS!".
As she walked away, Yuuki's blush grew a darker shade of red, as she giggled to herself.
Later That Night
"We've filled our bellies and cleaned our dishes. It's time for..."
"A totally awesome test of courage!", Ashido cheered
"We're gonna win!", Sero, Kaminari, Sato and Kirishima added.
"Not so fast", Aizawa told the five. "It pains me to say it, but the remedial class will be having lessons with me tonight instead."
"YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!"
"Sorry, your training didn't impress me, so I'll be using this time too", he finished as he wrapped all five of them with his scarf before dragging them away.
"Aw give me a break!"
"I just want to prove my courage!"
"Okay so, Class B is gonna start out as our scarers", Pixie-Bob continued without further interruptions. "When they're in place, Class A will leave in pairs every three minutes. There are tags with your name on them on the far end of the route. Your goal is to collect those."
"Revelry in the dark", Tokoyami said.
"What's that supposed to mean?!", Takane said. "Are you saying there's bad things out there in the woods. YOU CAN'T BE OKAY WITH THIS!", she grabbed the raven headed youth by his collar as she shook him. He simply stared at the moth, confused by the girl's sudden paranoia.
"Now those who are scarers aren't allowed to make physical contact. Use your Quirks to terrify others. Got it?"
"The winners are the creative students who make the most people piss their pants."
"Did we need that visual?"
"I see, they're encouraging us to stoke our imaginations as we compete with each other all while showing us more uses for our Quirks. As expected of U.A.!"
"All right", Pixie-Bob handed the students tickets, "Everyone draw to see who your partner will be."

"I'm all alone", Deku yelped.
"We were randomly assigned", Mashirao reassured him, "It's not that nobody chose you or anything."
"Listen up, Tail.", Katsuki growled, as he approached him. "Trade with me"
"Aoyama...", Minoru moaned at Aoyama. "Please switch with me, I should be with her!"
"I'm with you? Tch", Yuuki growled at Ryuusuke.
"This has to be a coincidence. I mean it's just asking for us to hold each other when we get scared.", Ryuusuke smirked.
"Such a shame", Shigen sighed, "I'm stuck with the biggest scaredy cat in the class."
"I'm not a scaredy cat!", Kasumi argued, only to shriek when her partner transmuted the ground next to her to fling a pebble in front of her.
"Revelry in the dark.", Fumikage said to himself, only to receive a stare from Mezo.
12 minutes later
Jiro and Hagakure could be heard screaming in the forest as Uraraka and Asui already went on ahead. However a strange purple mist manifested in the forest before blue flames erupted.
"Now it begins"
A strange red aura engulfed Pixie-Bob as she was dragged away before having her head slammed with a metal pole carried by Magne and Spinner, knocking her clean out.
"First let's get rid of these feral cats", Magne said sadistically.
"Villains, here?", Ryuusuke said, adopting a fighting pose, only to be stopped by Tiger.
"What? No way! I thought they made sure nobody could find us. So why are there villains attacking this place.", Mineta cried.
"This is bad", Mandalay said.
Bad was an understatement for what was to come.
The Vanguard Action Squad had started their attack.
