One thing I wanna do in any of my stories is remove any deaths that were not overtly meaningful to the plot, such as if they get forgotten overtime. That's just not fair to the dead. We have such a case here. Disclaimer: I don't own Kamen Rider, Tokyo Ghoul, or any other referenced media.

*We start with a close-up of Ken Kaneki's face as he eyes dart back and forth*

*With that declaration, we get our opening music and the series title*

Question the wide, open skies! Ask them who am I?

*Ken is seen leaping and swinging through a Japanese forest.*

Amazon Rider! That is who I am!

*He lands near Touka and two new heroes, Nishiki Nishio and Hideyoshi Nagachika, as they pose like beasts.*

Fight against me if you would prefer, envoys of evil

*Ken's GiGi Armlet is seen, as well Touka's Amazon Driver, with Nishiki and Hideyoshi having Amazon Driver's of their own.*

Did you see? The Jungler that I'm riding on

*Kurojusha of the Garanda Empire appeared and surround the group.*

Fangs laid bare in the light, a tooth for a tooth

*Ken takes a predatory stance, his mouth open as if bearing fangs.*

Fearsome claws growl and roar, an eye for an eye

*The four Riders quickly attack and deal with the Kurojusha.*

For justice, I'll be a ghoul, a noble demon

*They transform into their Rider forms, Nishiki a bright red suit with silver chest called Kamen Rider Alpha, and Hideyoshi and pure silver form called Kamen Rider Sigma.*

Amazon Rider, he is finally here

*The four Riders race off, Amazon on his Jungler while the others have their Junglaiders, before they are seen making one final pose with Amazon in the center, Omega on his back, Alpha to his right, and Sigma to his left.*

Chapter 20: The Hero Moley

A bus was traveling through the city, carrying the Yamada Pig Raising Group. They were tourists who were checking out the city. As they passed under a bridge, a group of Kurojusha leapt onto the bus. They opened the windows and tossed in some of sort of gas bombs containing deadly spores. Within seconds the entire bus was suffering from the infection and wound up crashing into the hillside. A young was up above and saw the whole thing. As she ran off, the Kurojusha spotted her and hurried to catch her.

She dodged away from them, calling for help, and got it in the form of Moley. "Garanda's Kurojusha, huh? If it's just you guys I can take you on easy!" The sight of him prepping his claws made the Kurojusha realize they couldn't win this fight, so they hurried off. He then turned to the little girl. "Are you okay, sweetie?" The girl just wound up crying at the sight of Moley, which made him sad that someone he just rescued could be scared of him.

Ken and Touka showed up as he was feeling sorry for himself. "What's going on here, Moley?," Touka asked, "Are you bullying someone?" "I'm not bullying anyone," Moley insisted, "This girl here was being pursued by Kurojusha, so I stepped in to save her." Ken smiled and knelt down. "So he saved you, then?" The girl nodded. "Alright," Ken said, "So why were you being pursued?" "I saw them tossing something into a bus near a bridge," the girl explained, "Every inside starting melting." The trio looked at each other in concern.

Emperor Zero appeared within his throne room. The Kurojusha were bowing to give their report. "Tokyo Mold Destruction Operation was a complete success! We will begin our next mission with great vector!" "Is that all you have to report?," Emperor Zero asked. The Kurojusha looked confused. "Do you think me an idiot?," he called out, "Do you intend to deceive me? Did you truly think you would not be caught? Have you forgotten our laws?"

"We ask forgiveness!," the Kurojusha said, "Next time will take Mole Beastman's life!" "It's too late for that!," Emperor Zero called, "You will suffer the death penalty for your cowardice! Or perhaps you have forgotten, that the one who gave us the mold spores has been hunted and nearly killed several times by Kamen Riders Alpha and Sigma. They will recognize his handiwork without fail once word reaches them. That could hamper our operation significantly."

Meanwhile in a local apartment complex, a couple of proud parents were gushing over their little baby. As they sat down for tea, a strange sound could suddenly be heard. More of the dangerous mold was starting to spread through the apartment, along with a new beastman that seemed to be covered in mushrooms and other fungi. "This once peaceful terrace will soon become a terrace of hell!" He sprayed out more of the spores from his mouth, where it began to infect anything living. The parents were barely able to keep their baby safe from the mold.

The Kurojusha were monitoring the spread of the mold and cultivating more of it through the use of various fungi. Outside the city, Masahiko was running up to the Rider Pack. "Masahiko," Ken said, "What's wrong?" "We've had something weird happen," Masahiko said, "All the humans at the Sasayamo Terrace have vaporized!" "All of them?," Ken asked. "Well, one baby was found still alive," Masahiko said, "But that was it." "It could be related to the bus evaporation," Moley realized.

"Then it's more of Garanda's work," Touka realized. Hideyoshi nodded. "Where's the baby now?" "He's being taken care of at the Onoda Hospital," Masahiko replied. "That baby could be in danger," Moley realized. The pack hurried off the to the hospital. A nurse was taking care of the baby. "I wonder why only he survived." "Funny," came the beastman's voice as he appeared, "I was just wondering that myself." The nurse quickly grabbed the baby to keep him away from the monster. "I'll be taking that baby!," the beastman declared.

He grabbed at the nurse. "Get in my way and I'll kill you!" Ken and his pack burst into the room. Nishiki and Hideyoshi's eyes widened. "Mushroom Beastman!," Nishiki called out. "Not you two!," the beastman called out. The duo quickly leapt at Mushroom Beastman and grabbed the baby out of his clutches. He quickly grabbed it back and ran. Once the pack was outside, he stood on a nearby roof. "Make one move and this baby dies!" "You were probably going to kill him anyway!," Nishiki pointed out, "We've got nothing to lose!"

Mushroom Beastman quickly leapt away, only to be surrounded by the four Riders. "Maybe I'll just kill you four instead!" He started taking swiped at them as they dodged. Ken the focused on the GiGi Armlet while the others activated their Amazon Drivers. "Henshin!" "A-MA-ZON!" "Henshin!" "Amazon!" Amazon and his pack leapt to the roof. "Don't bite into him," Alpha warned, "You'll get infected by his spores." Amazon nodded. Omega leapt down first and quickly grabbed the baby, Sigma following to knock Mushroom Beastman away. The pack was soon gone, leaving Mushroom Beastman with nothing.

In spite of everything, the baby was still in perfect health, much to the pack's relief. Tobei had stopped by to check up on things. "So doctor," he said, "Were you able to figure out why the baby survived?" "I'm not sure," the doctor said, "There wasn't really anything special about his body." "And yet Garanda tried to have the baby taken," Ken pointed out, "There must be some reason."

Masahiko and Ritsuko ran into the room. "There's been another incident!," Masahiko said, "Thirty people riding in a bus on the highway were all found melted!" Ritsuko nodded. "They were spotted by people driving by the bus. All of the passengers were covered in some sort of mold." "Sounds like Mushroom Beastman's work," Hideyoshi realized. Nishiki nodded. "When me and Hideyoshi were hunting Garanda as part of our training, Mushroom Beastman was our most frequent quarry. Many times we came close to killing him. If we'd have know this would happen, we would have tried harder."

"Well here's the strange thing," Ritsuko said, "Once the incident was finished, there was no mold left." Tobei nodded. "Come to think of it, there was no mold in any of the others places that were hit." "If we could get our hands on a mold sample," the doctor said, "We might be able to understand why the survived. We could use that information to make an antidote." "If Garanda is the one making the mold…," Ken muttered, "I think I know someone who can get that sample for us! I need to get Moley!"

"I'm actually right here," Moley said as he appeared from the floor. Ken nodded. "Your digging skills are perfect for finding Garanda's safe house. We need to go and get a mold sample." "One thing first," Nishiki said as he got out the medicine kit, "We don't have an exact antidote yet, but we do have something that can keep you from getting poisoned, just in case you encounter Mushroom Beastman."

Moley was coated in a special anti-toxin that could only last for at least an hour, but would provide resistance against the deadly mold. "This way even if you get infected you can last long enough for us to get a cure." Moley nodded. "Thank you. I'll make sure to get those mold samples. And if it does cost me my life… I hope that I can at least be remembered as a hero." Ken nodded. "Good luck, and be careful."

It wasn't long before Moley spotted Mushroom Beastman. He tried hiding, but the villainous beastman quickly spotted him. "It's no use hiding, you runt!" He flushed out Moley. "Wait a second! Wait a second! I'm not here to fight. I'm done fighting against you guys, you see." Mushroom Beastman scoffed. "What a coward! And you call yourself a Geddon Beastman?" "I've already lost all shame outside!," Moley insisted, "I want to work for you! Please, make me your ally, and I'll fight Amazon and his pack!"

It was actually a lie to try and get close enough to get the mold sample, but Mushroom Beastman seemed to buy it. He agreed to let Moley help him with the current job, under the pretense of sticking a mold ball right on Ken and the others. Mushroom Beastman considered. "Those Riders do consider you a friend. This is something you could pull off easily. Very well. Follow me." He led Moley into the production facility. Moley was able to see the mold cultivation first-hand.

"As you can see," Mushroom Beastman said, "The mold is already in mass production. In a few days we'll have enough to cover all of Tokyo! If we can get rid of Amazon and his pack before then, then it's a job well done!" Moley nodded. "I can take care of that. And once we succeed, I hope you'll give Great Emperor Zero my blessings." "Pull this off," Mushroom Beastman replied, "And I'll do whatever it takes to convince Emperor Zero to make you the Garanda's Empire's first in command!" He had a Kurojusha hand Moley one of the mold spheres.

Moley nodded as he took it. "Just leave it to me." He hurried off, but as he left, he found himself getting sprayed by mold. Mushroom Beastman laughed. "Did you think I'd be tricked so easily!? Looks like this is your end, Mole Beastman!" Moley quickly shook the villainous beastman off of him. "Joke's on you, Mushroom Beastman! Nishiki and Hideyoshi gave me a special salve to make me resistant to your toxins for a full hour! And that hour isn't up yet!" He quickly dove underground before Mushroom Beastman and his forces could stop him. "Damn!," he called out, "With that mold sphere he can wreck all of our plans!"

"I got it!," Moley said as he rushed into the hospital, "I was able to get that mold sample!" The doctor used the mold sphere, and some of the mold still clinging to Moley. After a bit of research using the samples, the doctor found something. He was able to start developing an antidote, giving some of it to Moley just as the salve was starting to wear off, as well as some to Ken and his pack so that they could more effectively fight against Mushroom Beastman.

"Ken," Moley said, "The mushroom factory is right below the Shimaura main gate. By now they're likely producing enough mold to cover the entire city. You need to hurry and stop them." Ken nodded as he and the others took their antidote capsules and hurried to confront Garanda. Before they completely the hospital, they took the time to transform. "Henshin!" "A-MA-ZON!" "Henshin!" "Amazon!" The Riders raced off on the Jungler and Junglaiders, racing after Mushroom Beastman.

"The operation begins now!," Mushroom Beastman declared, "Everyone move out!" The Kurojusha nodded and gathered up all of the mold they cultivated. "Now we begin the Tokyo Mold Destruction Operation!," Mushroom Beastman said. "No!," Amazon called out as he and pack appeared, "Now you die!" Mushroom Beastman gasped. "Amazon! The Rider Pack! I knew I should have killed that cowardly beastman!" "Moley is no coward!," Omega retorted, "He's a hero!"

The four of them started tearing apart the Kurojusha. Mushroom Beastman hurried outside as the Rider Pack chased after him, taking out more of his grunts. "I'll just have to do the operation myself!," Mushroom Beastman decided. Amazon spotted him running. "Alpha! Sigma!" The two Riders nodded as they chased after their old enemy. They soon had him surrounded. He sprayed his mold on them, but nothing happened. "It's useless Mushroom Beastman!," Alpha said, "We've taken an antidote to your spores!"

"And this antidote is being spread all across Tokyo!," Sigma added, "Your mold has no more power! That baby who survived? It turns out it had a cold. In other words, your mold is weak against viruses! So we used the mold sample brought by Moley to create a vaccine. After all, vaccine are just weakened viruses. Still strong enough to counter your mold, though." "This time we won't let you escape!," Alpha declared.

He and Sigma started laying into Mushroom Beastman, practically tearing him apart. "This is your end!," the called out as one, leaping at the monster with their arm bald. "Alpha Slash!" "Sigma Chop!" Mushroom Beastman wound up sliced in four as he fell apart, his body dissolving. Amazon and Omega ran over, and the four Riders yelled out in triumph. "Now that's one less threat to the world," Amazon said.

Moley was getting embarrassed as Masahiko and Ritsuko were showering with praise for his bravery. It was the first time he'd ever really been seen as a hero, especially given he was originally created by the villainous Gorgos. But whatever evil life he had before becoming a beastman, he had a chance at a new life now. Ken, Touka, Nishiki, and Hideyoshi officially made Moley a member of their pack. Now, more than ever, they were encouraged by Moley's bravery to continue the fight against Garanda.

Another reason why I wanted to spare Moley is because if I killed him off like in canon, it would mess up my defeated monster list since he never joined Garanda, yet was killed while they were active. Expect other monsters that aren't evil to be similarly spared. Read and review.
