(Third Person POV)
Luka swims through the water and underneath his boat, which has been turned upside down. He enters the boat and searches around with his hands for his sister. "Where is she? Where is she?" he thinks panickedly.
His hands finally meet her limp body and he grabs her. Luka pulls Juleka through the dark waters and swims out of the boat and to the surface. His lungs burn for air from being under the water too long and he starts to see lights flashing across his vision. He keeps swimming, willing his body to live just a bit longer.
Luka surfaces with a gasp and brings Juleka to the edge of the river. Mrs. Couffaine helps him drag her onto the cracked cement. Luka starts doing compressions on her, trying to stay calm in this chaotic series of events. His mother tries to calm her hysterical sobs as Juleka doesn't respond. It feels like hours go by as Luka tries to revive his sister, hoping to hear a heartbeat, see her cough up the water. They had defibrillators on the Liberty, but there was no use in trying to find them.
All Luka and Mrs. Couffaine could do was continue to try to revive Juleka and hope for a miracle.
The group scatters after Ladybug and Cat Noir tell them to run. Kagami runs down an alleyway, trying to think of a place that would be safe. But where do you go that's safe when the ground is falling out from under you?
"At least, I should find my mother," she thinks to herself. "Or find somewhere to hide until Ladybug comes with the Dragon Miraculous."
As she runs, a small crack opens up in the ground in front of her. She scrambles to stop, but falls in anyway. The crack is not that deep, she could almost reach the edge of the cement with her fingers. But the space between the two pieces of cement was tight, and Kagami felt claustrophobic.
She tries to climb out, but her feet are trapped in between the pieces of rock. The ground groans and the crack begins to close as pressure is put on the pieces. Her legs are crushed between the rocks.
Kagami screams out in pain and cries out for help. The slabs of rock stop moving, leaving her trapped and in pain.
"Kagami!" a voice above says.
Kagami looks up, panting in pain. Marc appears, having heard her cry. "Marc! Help me!"
"Hang on!" he says and disappears. He reappears with a short metal rod, broken off from a building. He shoves-well, more like drops-it into the crack next to Kagami. He then tries to use it to create more space between the pieces of the street.
The slabs move barely an inch. Marc then grabs Kagami's hands and pulls her up, despite her cries of pain.
Kagami lays on the ground, groaning in pain. Her legs are crushed and bleeding from being pulled out. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Marc begins to apologize.
A groan is emitted from the building next to them. The two look up as it starts to crumble on top of them.
Marc grabs Kagami and drags her out of the alleyway. A chunk of cement falls on his right shoulder, injuring it. He cries out in pain and continues to drag Kagami with his left arm. They escape just as the building collapses.
He drags her over to a chunk of a building and rests her up against it. The two of them huddle close together.
Cat Noir appears carrying Ladybug. "What happened?" he asks.
"Long story," Kagami sighs. "I can't be Ryuko now." She points to her legs. "Find someone else!"
"Stay safe," Ladybug says. "As safe as you can."
"Don't worry about saving anyone else," Marc says sternly, shocking the others. "Focus solely on stopping Soothsayer. Don't waste time helping others, that will decrease your ticking clock! Your Lucky Charm will save us all, focus on using it. Everyone must keep you alive at all costs, got it?!"
"Got it," Cat Noir says and leaves. Marc and Kagami hug as the ground shakes a bit.
Cat Noir and Ladybug arrive at the Bakery, which has collapsed. "Ladybug, Cat Noir!" Tom says. "Have you seen Marinette!"
"The school has fallen, was she inside?" Sabine asks, worriedly.
"There's no time to worry about Marinette!" Ladybug says and begins to pick through the rubble of her house.
"What are you doing?" Cat Noir asks.
"I'm searching for the Miracle Box!" she shouts at him.
Cat Noir, Tom, and Sabine slowly realize what is going on. "You're…You're Marinette?" Cat Noir stutters.
"Yes! I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng! Now help me look for this **** Box!" Ladybug snaps. Cat Noir and her parents begin to search.
"Is this it?" Tom asks, holding up a small box.
"No, but it's still useful," Ladybug says, taking it from him. Inside are the vials of power potions. Ladybug takes out the fire serum.
"Here's the Miracle Box!" Cat Noir exclaims, pulling it from the rubble.
"Take the fire serum and transform Plagg," Ladybug says, handing him the vial. "Don't take too much! We need it for everyone!"
"Got it!" Cat Noir says and runs behind the rubble of the bakery.
Ladybug de-transforms and feeds Tikki while her mother examines her legs. "We need all the superheroes possible," Marinette tells her Kwami. "But Nino and Kagami are out of the question."
She looks at her parents. "Mom, Dad, can you guys be temporary Miraculous holders?"
"Whatever you need, Sweetheart," Sabine says.
Marinette gives her mother the Dragon Miraculous and her father the Turtle Miraculous. Longg and Wayzz give the two a brief lesson on what they had to do and how to use their powers.
Cat Noir returns with the fire serum. He had gained a mask, goggles around his superhero mask, and fiery highlights. Tikki, Longg, and Wayzz drink some of the serum. Ladybug, Sabine, and Tom transform.
"I'm Terrapin!" Tom exclaims, striking a pose.
"Dad! This is serious!" Ladybug says through her firemask.
"Sorry," he says.
"Shenlong," Sabine says with little enthusiasm.
"Milady, did you notice that Mayura had the same mask and fire highlights?" Cat Noir says. "Almost as if she used the same potion?"
"Now's not the time, Cat," Ladybug says, getting up to walk. She can gingerly walk, against her parents and Cat Noir's wishes. "Mo-I mean, Terrapin, Shenlong, go assist Mayura with stopping Soothsayer. We've created a temporary truce. Cat Noir, take these Miraculous' to their owners."
"Got it!" Cat Noir says as he runs off with the Bee, Fox, and Snake Miraculous'. Shenlong and Terrapin leave to deal with the supervillain while Ladybug swings off to hand out the Monkey, Horse, and Rabbit Miraculous'.
"Come on!" Luka shouts as he desperately tries to revive Juleka, to no avail. "Live!"
Juleka doesn't move as Luka continues to do compressions. Their mother is sobbing, accepting that it is over.
Cat Noir lands next to them. "She's gone, Luka," he says, putting his hand on the young man's shoulder. Luka slumps, finally accepting that his sister is gone.
The only way we can save her is if Ladybug defeats Soothsayer and fixes everything with her Lucky Charm," Cat Noir continues. "We need you Viperion. We'll deal with your knowledge of this later, Mrs. Couffaine."
Luka's mother covers her heart with her hand, realizing her son was a superhero.
Luka takes the Miraculous from Cat Noir and transforms. Viperion heads off to stop Soothsayer while Cat Noir searches for Chloe and Alya.
Ladybug finds Kim and Max hiding together near building rubble. Kim catches her as she swings in erratically. "I need you guys to transform and help Mayura stop Soothsayer. There's a truce. Oh, and now we have replacements for Carapace and Ryuko."
"What about you?" Kim asks, concerned about her legs.
"I'll be fine," Ladybug says, walking carefully on her injured legs.
"We won't let you down, Ladybug," Max says as he transforms.
"Where's Alix?" Ladybug asks, holding the Bunny Miraculous.
"Her and Nathaniel are hiding somewhere over there," Kim says, pointing to where the two headed.
"Thank you," Ladybug says as they leave. She carefully limps away to find Alix.
"Alya!" Cat Noir shouts and lands near her.
"Cat Noir!" she says, wiping her tears away. "Nino, he's, he's gone."
"I know, I know," Cat Noir says soothingly to her. "And Ladybug's Lucky Charm can bring him back."
"It can?" Alya asks.
"It can," Cat Noir says. "But we need all the help we can get to defeat Soothsayer so that Ladybug can use her powers. Will you help us?"
"Yeah," Alya says, transforming and heading off to fight.
Cat Noir searches for Chloe.
"Earthquakes and collapsing buildings," Alix says. "Another thing we can add to our list of things we've been through together."
"Yep," Nathaniel smiles wryly. "If you can slow down and take a moment, you'll bond with whoever you survive this with."
"It'll be way harder to break that friendship," Alix agrees.
"Alix!" Ladybug exclaims, limping into the small cave created by the rubble.
"Ladybug! What happened?" Nathaniel asks.
"Long story," Ladybug says as he supports her to give her legs a break. "At this point, I'm not worried about who knows what friend is what superhero. Alix, you knew you were going to be the Bunny Miraculous holder in the future. Today is that day."
Alix takes the rabbit Miraculous. "You knew you were going to be a Miraculous holder?" Nathaniel asks.
"You sound like you're surprised," Alix smirks.
"Stay out of the fight," Ladybug says.
"I thought you needed more superheroes," Alix frowns.
"You have the Miraculous of time," Ladybug explains. "We need you to stay in your little time bubble, no matter what. If my Miraculous is lost or I'm defeated, go back in time and warn my past self. You can't go yet, though. Even if the other superheroes die, you have to let things play out. We can't interfere too much."
"You got it, Ladybug," Alix says. "I'll figure out how to use it on the fly. Go defeat Soothsayer!"
Ladybug swings off and Alix transforms. "Burrow!" she calls on her powers and goes to enter the portal.
"Wait," Nathaniel says, grabbing her hand.
"What, Nath—" Alix starts to speak, but is interrupted by Nathaniel's kiss. The two take a moment to lean in, enchanted by the kiss. "Is that…Mm, is that your first kiss?" Alix asks.
Nathaniel blushes. "Yeah," he nods.
Alix blushes like Marinette and enters the portal. "Stay safe!" she says.
"Don't worry about me," he says. "I'll be back when this is all over."
Alix smiles and enters her portal. "Let's see how the future looks without my intervention," she says as she looks through time.
