"Naruto-sama!"

Naruto rubbed the back of her neck as Haku dashed straight at her. His brown eyes fixated on her shoulders and Naruto realized what was going through his head. He must think that she was still wounded because of the blood that clung to her shirt. She grimaced and flickered her eyes to Hibari and sighed at the sight before her.

Grey eyes narrowed at the sight of Haku hovering over her. I really don't understand why he hates Haku. The older teen had done nothing to deserve this. She pinched her nose and narrowed her eyes at Hibari. He only grunted and his grey eyes lingered on her neck. A smirk played on his lips and the blonde wondered if there was a reason for him to be smug.

"I'm fine, Haku," Naruto declared, tearing her eyes away from Hibari. Her blue eyes fixated on Gokudera, who was pushing himself to go near the bandaged black-haired teen. She could see the boy pulling something out of his jacket and she looked away from him. Instead she fixated her eyes on the unconscious boy that laid behind them.

If she had to guess from the burnt marks alongside the senbons pierced his body. Knowing Haku, the kid is still alive. It should irritate her but Naruto could not bring herself to judge the boy for his actions. There was just no time for her to scold him. Beside, she could always use it for her advantage because a live hostage was better than a dead hostage.

"Haku, I want you to check up on Hibari and heal his wounds," Naruto whispered. Haku blinked and swirled his head at Hibari. Brown eyes widened at the sight of the makeshift bandages alongside the scratches and bruises around his face. Naruto grimaced and stared at the black-haired teen, who narrowed his eyes at her.

"Little Fox—"

"—You are getting a checkup before you are charging straight to Mukuro," she declared, swirling her head at him. Blue eyes narrowed at Hibari, daring him to argue with her. He growled and Naruto felt her eyebrows twitching again. Normally she would never dare to argue since it would be a waste of time. But this time the whole thing was different.

She did not want to see him pushing himself to the limit. If Hibari injured himself even more then she would have no one but herself to blame. Grey eyes locked onto her and the blonde stared at him, waiting for him to argue with her. He grunted and Naruto gestured for Haku to go and do the checkup for her ally.

"So what happened while Hibari and me were stuck in there?" Naruto asked. Gokudera grunted, not looking one bit pleased about her question, while Haku grimaced. The two teens exchanged glances with each other before looking back at them. She rubbed the back of her neck and fixated her eyes on Hibari and Haku.

The black-haired teen sat still as Haku patched him up. What the hell happened during the time that Hibari and her were locked up? Was there still time for her to go and beat up Mukuro? Or was it too late? She simply told Hibari to get patched up before going straight to Mukuro but maybe she was wrong. Maybe they had been able to defeat Mukuro.

"I knocked out two of Mukuro's lackeys with my senbon," Haku finally answered. The older teen tilted Hibari's face up, inspecting for any faint signs of wounds and scratches, before dropping his hands. Gokudera nodded and the blond-haired teen relaxed her shoulders at those words. That was no surprise for her. "Yamamoto-san defeated the lackey but he got knocked out when he fought Lancia-san. We also learnt that Mukuro had been using someone called Lancia-san to become a fake Mukuro."

Naruto narrowed her eyes when she heard the anger leaking out of his voice. She leaned against the wall and knitted her eyebrows together as her blue eyes locked onto the wall. A fake Mukuro? That was something new. But why? No, the better question was why was Haku so furious? She knew the older teen. He was not the type to get so easily angered but Mukuro must have done something that could even make Haku furious.

"Haku, tell me about Lancia," Naruto ordered. Haku grimaced while Gokudera and Hibari swirled their heads at her. She flipped them the finger and gestured for them to leave. Since the silver-haired teen helped her with escaping from here, she would have to discard the idea of making Tsuna pay for the use of Haku's medic ninjutsu. It also meant that she would have to give him a head start on getting to Mukuro.

It would be the only way that she could considered their debt paid. Gokudera grunted and dashed out of the room while Hibari eyed her for one single time. His grey eyes lingered on her neck and Naruto fixated her eyes on his lips. What happened between them had been a one time thing and she was not going to be so greedy as to ask for another repeat.

Beside, those kind of things should be done with someone that they love and Naruto had no time for feelings like that. Hibari was an ally and that was always going to be their relationship. Just because he nipped her neck and bit her neck, did not mean she was going to develop a relationship with him. She needed to sort herself out and get stronger before even thinking about it.

Hibari grunted and turned his head away before sprinting behind Gokudera. She relaxed her shoulders and the blue-eyed teen looked back at Haku. The brown-haired teen fixated his eyes on her and the blond-haired teen raised a single eyebrow when Haku stared at her neck. His cheeks flushed a deep shade of red.

"Naruto-sama before I talk about Lancia-san, did you and Hibari-san…"

"N-Nothing happened between us," Naruto answered, not looking him in the eyes. The long-haired teen curled his lips into an amused smile and he tore his eyes away from her neck. Even though she was certain Haku knew something happen between her and Hibari, her ally made the smart choice of not calling her out for it. She cleared her throat. "Now what did you learn from this Lancia-san? What did he tell you guys that made you angry?"

They needed to focus on the topic at hand before she went in charging after Mukuro. The more information I have, the more likely I am able to know what I'm facing. She rubbed the back of her neck and stared at Haku. The brown-haired teen must be trying to calm himself down if those clenched fists were of any indication.

"Mukuro took away everything important to Lancia," Haku answered softly. "Up until five years ago, Lancia-san was part of a Mafia family in Northern Italty. That Mafia family meant the world to him because they took him in when he had nowhere to go."

Naruto kept her expression blank as Haku kept his tone calm and cool. It was clear to the blonde that her subordinate understood Lancia and maybe it was due to the past that she made sure never to ask. Even if we manage to do anything, there is nothing we can do for a criminal. She had no power or connections when it came to Mafia so even if she wanted to save him…she could not do it.

Beside even if she did save him, what would she benefit from him? Nothing. The Mafia was the last thing she wanted to get involved with, but it seemed like Haku really wanted to protect the man. Am I really going to be affected by this? She did not know. It would be weak of her to do this, but there was also no reason for her not to protect him.

"How did Mukuro take away his family?" Naruto asked.

"I don't fully understand it myself, Naruto-sama," Haku answered. "All I know is that Lancia-san took care of Mukuro when he came to their family. During that time, I'm not certain of how Mukuro was able to control Lancia and he made him kill his whole family."

But why make him kill his whole family? Is Mukuro just as twisted as Itachi Uchiha? The thought made her pause. There had been rumors about Itachi deciding to kill his whole clan because of power. Sometimes when she walked through the streets of Konoha, Naruto would hear the whispers that the teen had cracked from the pressure of being a prodigy.

She never knew of whether there had been some truth behind it or not. But what Naruto did know was that the same day Itachi left, was also the same day that Weasel disappeared from her life. But insanity had been the explanation for Itachi. Mukuro was not insane. Twisted yes but Naruto could safely say Mukuro was not insane.

"Haku, I think that there is more to the story of Mukuro then the one Lancia had given," Naruto informed him. Mind control was strange but the Yamanaka clan was capable of it or so Hinata would lecture her whenever she got confused about the clans. Mukuro was not a shinobi. That much she could confirm but something made him twisted. "Why would he kill a family? Why would he make Lancia do it? That is twisted."

"He isn't a good person," Haku pointed out.

Naruto nodded. "I know that and I'm going to torture him for hurting me…but that level of cruelty isn't born from an easy childhood."

"Are you making excuses for him?" The brown-haired teen asked. Naruto paused. Excuses? She could understand why Haku would believe she was making excuses for Mukuro's behavior. It sounded like an excuse. But it was more of an observation for her. Her childhood had not been easy too but she had never once considered going to the extreme length that Mukuro did.

Konoha had ruined her childhood but she would never go that far. But if I had stayed after what Mizuki told me then there is a possibility. She curled her lips into a frown and looked down at her hands. If it was a cruel childhood that made him this way then she could understand him. But it did not mean she was not going to torture him for hurting her the way she did.

"It will be easy for me to make excuses but it doesn't mean what he did was right," Naruto answered. "I'm going to torture him for using those illusions against me…as soon as I figure out how the hell that he could make an illusion without using chakra."

Haku frowned.

"That should be impossible," Haku muttered. "You can't make an illusion without chakra."

Naruto grunted. "Well he can."

Brown eyes widened at the implications of her words and the blond-haired teen looked down at the unconscious body before her. She should tie him up before going after Gokudera and Hibari. If Mukuro could control this Lancia guy then she feared that he could also control these unconscious people. Naruto grimaced.

She had to make sure that he couldn't control her.

"What just happened?"

That was the only question coming out of Naruto's mouth as she stared at Mukuro's body. She did not know how long Haku and her talked but it must have been no more than ten minutes. Did they only need ten minutes to defeat Mukuro? It seemed too easy for someone like Hibari. She darted her blue eyes to Tsuna and the others.

Hibari stood up straight, grey eyes moving away from the unconscious boy before looking back at her and Haku. His eyes fixated on her neck and the blonde rubbed her neck. He better not be recalling what happened between them. She cleared her throat and flickered her eyes to Tsuna, Reborn and Gokudera. All three of them seemed relax at what just happened.

None of them looked ready to explain anything to her and that only made her eyebrows twitched.

"I won my spar," Hibari grunted. He threw her a smirk and the blonde sighed. Well that made more sense to her than the idea of Tsuna defeating Mukuro. After all, it was more likely for the black-haired teen to defeat Mukuro than for the brown-haired teen, who was stuck on the ground. It made sense but there was a tickling sensation running down her spine.

Why did she feel like it was just too easy? She thinned her lips and fixated her eyes on Mukuro. He laid unconscious on the ground, which meant it would be easy for her to simply kill him. But killing him would be too good for him. She grimaced. It would have been nice if Hibari would have given her a chance of just landing a punch against him.

"You couldn't have given me a chance to punch him?" Naruto asked, raising a single eyebrow at him. Hibari shrugged, looking faintly amused by her question while Haku just pinched his nose. Tsuna and Gokudera just stared at her like she was insane for asking that question. But it was a very reasonable question for her to ask.

He knew she was furious for what that Pineapple Bastard did to her.

"I got to him first," Hibari grunted. He walked right to her side, ignoring the concern look from Haku, and this made the blond-haired teen sighed at him. Since the whole thing was over now, he could go to the hospital and have someone check him up. Beside his wounds were not as bad as the time when she was tossed into that small room with him.

Naruto shook her head and pushed back the memory of what happened between them. If she wanted things to go back to being normal between them then she should not think back to what happened between them. Her blue eyes darted to Tsuna. The brown-haired boy frowned and looked straight at Haku. She sighed when the boy sat down on the floor, looking visibly drained from his fight.

"Haku-san, can you heal Yamamoto-kun and Lancia-san now?" Tsuna asked softly. Even though the question was directed at Haku, his brown eyes were locked on her. His eyes pleaded for her to make things easier for them. Naruto darted her eyes to Haku and the older teen only stared at her with blank eyes.

She poked her tongue against her cheek and considered the request. Did she still need Haku here? Mukuro was unconscious now. There was no need for her to keep him here anyway. Naruto sighed and gestured for Haku to do as the boy requested. There was just no need for her to keep Haku with them anyway.

"Go ahead Haku," Naruto said. "Mukuro is unconscious."

Tsuna snapped his head at her. "You are not going to tell me that I need to pay you?"

"You got Hibari and me out of that room," the whiskered girl reminded him. The black-haired teen grunted, not looking pleased at the reminder, while Tsuna just blinked at her words. Just because she was greedy, it did not mean she was incapable of being reasonable with him. "And I have another idea of how you can pay me back."

The brown-haired boy paled while Reborn snorted, not looking one bit surprised by her words. He knows that I will always want something in exchange. The thought made her lips twitched and the blond-haired teen fixated her eyes on the fading figure of Haku. It would be too soft of her to request this but her subordinate seemed upset for what happened to Lancia.

She sighed.

"It will be useless for your subordinate to heal them because there will be no survivors!"

Naruto froze and then slowly twisted her head in the direction to where the voice came from. Her blood turned cold at the sight of Mukuro standing up, not looking at all like he was hurt from his fight with Hibari. She stared at the grey-eyed teen. Her ally froze, grey eyes widening at the sight before him.

It seemed like he was not expecting this.

Time slowed down as Mukuro brought out a shiny gun from his jacket. Something felt wrong. No survivors? What the hell was he planning to do with that gun? Was he going to shoot them? No. His gun was not pointing at any of them, instead he placed the gun right next to the side of his head. Was he going to commit suicide? That was what it looked like to her.

Bang.

Her blue eyes turned completely blank as Mukuro's body fell down to the ground. I really didn't expect this to happen. Her blue eyes flickered to Tsuna. Her classmate looked green, almost like he wanted to vomit his guts out, and she couldn't blame him. This was probably the first time he saw someone shoot themselves on the head.

"W-Why did he do it?" Tsuna stuttered. His brown eyes flickered from her to Hibari as if hoping one of them could answer the question. If Mukuro was an ordinary teen, her answer would be simple. But Mukuro was twisted. Committing suicide like this made no sense. There will be no survivors. Those words also made no sense when she thought about it.

How could there be no survivors if he was dead? That made no sense. She knitted her eyebrows together and fixated her eyes on the gun in his hand. That gun did not look like any of the guns that she saw Reborn carry or any of the Yakuza too. No. Was there a chance that the boy had done something more insane? He could make illusions without chakra.

There was no telling of what he could do.

"Someone as twisted as Mukuro would never commit suicide because he didn't want to get caught," Naruto observed. Reborn grimaced but did not dare to tell her that she was wrong. What did he gain from committing suicide? Nothing. How was he going to make it impossible for there to be no survivors? She chewed the inner corner of her cheek and flickered her eyes to Hibari.

He looked up at her but there was something strange about his eyes. It doesn't feel like Hibari. His eyes were always cold but there was always a small glimpse of warmth being directed at her. The warmth directed at her right now felt insincere. It felt like someone was faking being someone they were not.

Something was wrong.

"Little Fox, I need you to help me up."

This isn't Hibari!

That was the single thought running through Naruto's mind as grey eyes locked onto her.
