Author's Note, May 29, 2020, USA

On a complete and separate note from this fictional haven I have been pleasantly indulging in, I need to say something before I continue onward with you.

I hope the continuation and completion of this story and any other story that I work on right now is not misconstrued as a lack of concern/empathy/compassion for the things going on in our world right now.

People are dying.

People are protesting in the streets, rioting, looting, burning.

People are screaming (metaphorically and literally) to be heard, be cared for, screaming for accountability and justice and change.

And I honestly don't know if those in power are going to care or listen. Ever.

It is all extremely important and worrying and emotional.

I do not mean to belittle all this and everything else around the world happening every moment of every day with these trivial little tales.

I only mean this to be a little momentary escape from all that, into a simpler world where love and rightness and humanity actually mean something.

And I could go no further with this pursuit or any other without saying this as a plea for understanding and care in a frightening, uncertain world.

Please take care of each other as human beings and keep each other safe. Each of you on this planet is important and worthwhile and meaningful.

You are people, not things, not obstacles.

You are living, breathing souls and you matter.

All of you.

All of us.

All.
