Thanks to gaara king of the sand for the help.
Clementine could feel her stomach doing flips as she chewed at her lower lip. She could hear Sam's barking which shook her out of her thoughts. He must have ran outside when they all had come out.
Kenny and Luke had gone to get the generator back on, leaving the others to deal with the wind turbine. Sarita opened the control panel on the turbine.
Before anyone could get a word out little Clementine spoke. "Let me do it. I can do it."
Carlos sent her a look. "What makes you think you know how?"
"My daddy was an engineer. He taught me a lot." Clementine said.
Molly examined the control panel and shrugged. It seemed simple enough for her. "Go on."
Carlos sighed at that, but said, "Okay. We'll watch your back. Nick, Molly, scan the trees with me."
The two both gave a nod.
"Damn it. It's too dark." Carlos grumbled as he looked around.
Sam's barking continued, though Clementine noted it seemed more urgent than before.
"Wait. I think I see something moving. In the trees." Carlos said.
"I saw it too. Clem, come on... Shut it off." Molly said.
Clementine uses her lighter to illuminate the panel, so she can see better.
"Clementine. Hurry." Carlos urged.
Clementine takes the key and uses it to unlock the switch. And just like that the turbine stops moving.
"Nice job, kiddo." Molly praises.
"Thanks." Clementine smiled.
A brief silence falls as they look around, an eerie feeling
"Somethin' ain't right." Nick muttered.
"Yeah." Carlos agreed.
Geeks started to approach from the trees.
"We don't have much ammunition." Carlos said.
"That's not a problem. Just make every shot count." Molly replied.
"We gotta get back to the lodge." Carlos said.
"Calm down. We can handle them." Molly said.
Molly moved forward with Hilda to take out some of the geeks.
Nick, Carlos, and Sarita start shooting at the creatures.
Clementine hides behind a tree stump as one approaches her. She shoots the geek in the chest, then the head. Clementine dodges another approaching geek, but it grabs her arm, and she shoots it in the head.
The small girl stands behind a rock and shoots several other geeks, eventually running out of ammo. As two walkers get near her, Carlos shoots them with his pistol.
"Run! Go!" Carlos orders. One of the creatures tries to grab at Carlos, knocking his rifle off his back, but he turns around and shoots it. After killing another one, he starts to run. "Keep moving, get to the lodge!"
Clementine tries to return to the lodge but a geek stands in her path. She pushed over the geek Carlos killed and grabbed his rifle. She shoots the geek, killing it, but falls to the floor and drops the gun due to the recoil.
"Somebody, help me!" Nick suddenly exclaimed.
Clementine rushes toward Nick, who is struggling against a geek. "Nick!"
"Please help me!" Nick yelled.
Suddenly a shot came from the porch, killing the geek. Clementine looked to see Walter aiming his gun
"Come on!" Carlos calls, grabbing their attention.
Molly is dealing with the last of the geeks and Clementine is looking around for Sam.
"Clem...get inside! Go!" Carlos ordered.
"Wait... Wh-Where's Sam?" Clementine asked.
"What?" Carlos asked.
"Where's Sam?! I don't see him!" Clementine questioned again.
"He... He must've run off." Carlos said.
"Well... Well I have to find him then." Clementine said.
"Are you out of your mind? It's the middle of the night! We're not chasing after some stupid dog." Nick hissed.
"You won't, but I will!" Clementine retorted. "He's my dog, he needs me."
"Clementine, be reasonable." Carlos said.
"I am." Clementine said.
Growing impatient, the man grabbed roughly at the child's arm. "You'll get inside now."
"You can't tell me what to do." Clementine tried to yank away.
"Clementine." Carlos said.
"You're not the boss of me." Clementine retorted.
"Carlos, don't grip the child like that please." Sarita said with a frown.
"What the hell is going on? Get your hands off my girl." Molly said, freeing Clementine from the man's grip.
"Sam ran off. I have to find him." Clementine said.
"No. Clem, you can't. If the dog ran away, he's gone. We're going to go inside and you're gonna go back to bed. If he comes back, he comes back. If he doesn't, oh well." Molly said in a stern tone.
"No." Clementine mumbled.
"Excuse me?" Molly was taken aback by this.
"I said no. I'm not giving up on Sam, and I don't care what you say." With that the child ran off into the woods.
Molly swore and ran after the girl.
"That kid is gonna get us killed." Nick huffed.
"She's a child. We should stop her." Sarita said.
"She's Molly's responsibility. She wouldn't have ran off if Molly was keeping a better eye on her." Carlos huffed.
"She couldn't have gotten far. I'm sure Molly will catch up. If not... we can all go looking for her." Walter said.
The others nodded.
Clementine hadn't been thinking when she tore off running. But she didn't stop, it was as if her little body was in autopilot. The girl continued to run through the dark woods, now and then stumbling over logs and branches. She listened out for her dogs barking but the more she ran the further and further away the sound got. Before long she could no longer hear him at all. She wanted to call to the dog, but she knew that was a bad idea. Lighting her lighter, so she could see she slow her pace to a walk as she looked around.
Upon hearing a snarl, she whipped around fast, looking around anxiously. In another direction she heard a branch break and once again made a quick turn. This time her flame went out. She quickly went to relight it, only to hear more snarling.
Heart pounding, the girl lit the lighter and held her knife close. She noticed to geeks closing in on her from either side. The girl rushed forward, shoving one of the creatures back. Before taking the chance to kill the other. As the one she shoved started to recover she quickly moved to kill it. Before she had the time to catch her breath, she could hear rushed footsteps approaching her and quickly clutched the knife. She turned ready to stab the figure. However, her arm was seized, the pressure forcing her to drop the weapon.
"M-Molly?"
"What the hell were you thinking?" Molly hissed.
"I told you. I had to find Sam." Clementine said.
"You know better than to run off like that. You could've been killed." Molly snapped.
"But I wasn't." Clementine pulled away and went to pick up her knife. She wiped the weapon on her pants and then pocketed it. "I handle myself just fine. I don't need anyone to tell me what to do."
Clementine flinched when she suddenly felt a sting on her cheek. Her guardian had just... just hit her.
"You have no right to talk to me like that Clementine." Molly said. "No right."
Clementine shook a bit, a small whimper breaking from her lips.
Molly frowned. "I didn't mean to hit you, Clem... I... Damn it, Clem, I'm just trying to protect you."
"...I know." Clementine mumbled through tears.
"Come here, kid. Let's just... go back... Let's go back to the lodge." Molly picked the small girl up, feeling sobs wreck her body.
"Clementine! Are you okay?" Rebecca asked as soon as they entered the lodge. "Is she okay?"
"She'll be fine. She just needs some rest." Molly replied.
"You shouldn't have run off like that, sweetie. We were worried." Sarita said.
"She already knows. I talked to her." Molly said.
"She ain't hurt, right? No bites?" Nick asked, sound suspicious.
"She's fine. Just let her get some rest. Please..." Molly said.
"I'll take her up to bed." Sarita offered.
"Okay..." Molly placed the child down. "Go on with Sarita, Clem..."
"Sam's gone..." Clementine suddenly spoke.
"We know, sweetie." Rebecca said.
"I don't think he's coming back..." Clementine mumbled, allowing Sarita to take her hand.
"Well, let's hope he does." Sarita said.
"I do... I hope Matthew does too." Clementine said.
The child's words made their blood run cold.
"Let's... get you to bed, sweetie." Sarita led the girl upstairs and before long Kenny and Luke stepped inside.
"Everyone alright?" Kenny asked.
"Someone's gonna have to keep watch. I can take first one." Molly said.
"Fair enough. I'll take it after you." Kenny said.
"The rest of you should get some rest. We'll try to switch off on who's keeping watch every two hours. That way we can all get a little sleep." Molly said.
The others agreed to that.
Molly sighed as she headed outside to keep lookout. She liked the lodge, but she knew better than to get too comfortable.
In the early morning, Clementine headed downstairs. Most of the others were asleep. Kenny was out cold on the couch, the others fast asleep upstairs.
Clementine spotted Walter in the kitchen pacing and biting at his nails, however the former teacher hadn't noticed her. Glancing outside she could see Nick sitting on the deck, she guessed he was on lookout duty.
The girl could've gone back to bed, but she couldn't fight the urge to look for Sam. Now that it was day light perhaps she'd have a better shot a finding him.
Making sure to keep quiet, the child grabbed on of the guns before sneaking out the back door. If anything happened, she wouldn't hesitate to shoot. Especially if she ran into Carver.
The girl reversed her tracks from the way they had came, making it down the hill and towards the little house by the bridge. She peeked inside cautious, but it didn't seem as if anyone was there. Trying the door, she felt an odd feeling come over her. Matthew hadn't returned to the lodge so she would've assumed he slept in here. However, upon opening the door, the place was empty. No sign of Matthew at all. Clementine decided to look around. But nothing seemed out of place, except for the fact that Matthew wasn't there.
After a few moments the girl decided to move on.
She made it to the bridge however she froze when she noticed something. No, someone laying on the ground. Clementine approached the figure and her eyes widened, it was Matthew. He was covered and blood and looked as if he had been beaten up.
"Oh...Oh my gosh... Ma-Matthew..." Clementine gasped.
Matthew suddenly coughed and Clementine jumped. The injured man was still alive, but barely.
"C-Clem...entine?" Matthew could hardly speak. His breaths came in short gasps, his body shaking from pain.
"Y-Yeah. It's me." The child confirmed. "...Who did this to you?" The girl asked, though she already knew the answer.
"Th-They...were after... your people..." Matthew said. "You...You need to go... w-warn the others."
"I will..."
"I... knew... you were... a tough kid." Matthew motioned weakly towards his knife. "T-Take that..."
Clementine looked to the knife and hesitantly obliged. "Just hang on, Matthew. I can get you help."
"...T-Tell...W-Walter...I..." Matthew's head seemed to lull to the side and he didn't say another word.
"Tell Walter what?" Clementine asked. "Matthew...?"
Clementine felt her heart clench. She knew he was dead.
The girl stood, holding his knife. She had to find Sam.
The girl kept a low profile as she quietly crossed the bridge. She knew those asshole who killed Matthew couldn't be far.
The girl knew it was risky, but she was going to find her dog.
She continued walking for a while until she could hear voices. She quickly hid in the bushes, staying low.
"Can you believe that bullshit? The fucking dog bit me and he wouldn't even let me shoot it." A man grumbled.
"Bill thinks it could be useful." Another man replied.
"Useful my ass." The first man said. "And another thing, I don't get why we're waiting here. Bonnie said those assholes were in that ski lodge so why haven't we gone to get them?"
"They wanna wait till they're comfortable before we strike. Can't have them expecting anything." The second man replied.
Clementine narrowed her eyes at that. She made sure to silently trail the two blabbering men as they walked towards a camp. And dropped firewood down in a pile.
"This bite still stings like a bitch." The man said.
"Be glad it wasn't worse." A woman's voice said.
Clementine's eyes widened as she recognized the redhead.
The child scanned the camp and before long spotted Sam, tied to a tree and growling at the group.
The girl tried to think of a way to get to him. If she was careful she could sneak around to free him.
"So what the hell are we waiting for? We're gonna let them get away." The man who Sam had bitten complained.
"Relax, Troy. They're not going anywhere." Carver spoke.
"They will if we don't get a move on." Troy said.
"Troy might be right about that, especially after they find their friend." Another woman spoke
"Yeah. And as much as I don't mind taking this trip, this whole game of cat and mouse is exhausting." The second man said.
Clementine had managed to sneak around to the other side of their camp, keeping as quiet as possible. However upon spotting her Sam started barking.
"Shh... Shh, Sam." She whispered as she began working on untying the rope. The dog didn't stop his barking.
Carver groaned. "Someone shut that mutt up. He's gonna bring the dead."
"Oh, I'll shut him up alright. I'll put a bullet in his fucking head." Troy said standing.
"Troy, sit down. Bonnie, go handle it." Carver said.
"Uh sure, Bill." Bonnie said.
Clementine felt her heart drop as she tried to move faster at untying the rope. "Come on... Come on." The knot was tight and wouldn't come undone. As Bonnie started to approached the child panicked and without hesitation she grabbed her knife and sliced the rope.
Sam started running immediately and Clementine started hidden as she snuck off as well, breaking into a run when she thought it was safe.
"Hey!" Bonnie called. "The dog's running away!"
"I'll get his ass." Troy said.
Carver shook his head. "No. Just forget him."
"How the hell did he get free in the first place?" The other woman asked.
"He must've tugged himself loose. Troy probably didn't tie him tight enough." The second man said.
"Bullshit. I made sure to-
"Bill... It... looks like somebody cut this." Bonnie spoke.
Clementine ran until her feet hurt and were screaming at her to stop. Sam wasn't too far in front of her. "Keep going boy! We're almost there." Clementine said.
She would glance back every so often to make sure no one was chasing them.
When the lodge came into view she sighed in relief. Rushing towards it without hesitation.
When the group realized Clementine wasn't in the lodge panic set in. They all immediately got ready to search for the child.
"We don't have time for this. Where the hell would she go?" Carlos asked.
"Probably after that stupid dog." Nick huffed.
"Weren't you supposed to be keeping watch, Nick? You should've stopped her!" Rebecca snapped.
"Hey, she didn't come out past me. I never saw her." Nick argued.
"Probably cause you were sleep on the job." Molly said.
"If you kept a better eye on your girl, none of this would've happened." Nick hissed.
"Hey, that's uncalled for." Luke defended Molly.
"No. It's true." Carlos said.
"Look, we can sit around and bicker or we can go find the damn kid." Kenny spoke up. "If you don't wanna help, I'll go alone!"
Suddenly the front door swung opened causing the group to jump.
"Clementine! Oh thank God!" Kenny said, going over to check her for injuries.
"We need to go!" Clementine exclaimed.
"Clementine!" Molly sighed in relief and came over as well.
"That lady who came here, she's with him." Clementine continued ranting.
"With who?" Kenny asked. "What are you talking about, darling?"
"The man who came to the cabin! The bad man that we're running from." Clementine explained.
"Hold on, Clem. Just calm down for a second." Luke spoke up.
"We don't have a second. We need to hurry up and go!" Clementine said.
"Just breath, kid." Luke said.
Clementine shook her head. "They had Sam. They had a rope around his neck and they tied him to a tree. I let him go."
"Shit. Did they see you?" Rebecca asked.
"N-No. They didn't see me... but... but I know they'll be here soon." Clementine choked. "They... They killed Matthew."
Walter paled, eyes going wide. "Wh-What?"
"We got to get out of here. We have to." Clementine panicked.
"Alright." Luke said. "Everyone pack you stuff. We're moving out."
"Hold the fuck up. Why don't you tell me what the fuck is going on?!" Kenny walked over to Luke.
"What's going on, is we have crazed lunatic after us." Luke replied.
And you just led him here? He kill my friend for fucks sake!" Kenny snapped.
"And he's gonna kill a lot more people if we don't get the hell out of here." Luke said before turning to his group. "Everyone, pack up."
"Fuck that. Running will get you no where. We gotta fight back." Kenny said.
"If we do more people will die." Luke said.
Clementine felt anxious. They were just wasting time. "Can we please just go? Please."
"Everything's gonna be fine, darling. I'm gonna handle that asshole. You just relax." Kenny said.
"How the hell can she relax when she just found a dead body?" Rebecca inquired.
"You don't understand. William Carver is very dangerous." Carlos added.
"Alright enough! Everyone pack up. We have to leave, but if worse comes to worse. We'll fight. I'm sorry, Kenny but if you guys stay here you'll only be at risk. So your best bet is to stick with us." Molly said.
"Fuck that. I'm not travelling with these clowns. I'm staying here and so is Clem." Kenny said.
"I told you before, Clem stays with me." Molly said back.
Clementine covered her ears.
As the bickering continued some of the adults break off to pack. Clementine made her way upstairs to check on Sarah.
"Sarah, are you okay?" Clementine asked.
"What's going on? Where's my dad?" Sarah questioned.
"He's downstairs." Clementine answered.
"Why did you leave the lodge? We were worried and scared." Sarah asked.
"I... had to find Sam." Clementine said.
"Did you find him?" Sarah asked.
Sam's sudden barking downstairs answered the question before Clementine could.
"Yeah. I did..."
"Everyone's fighting... I hate it when they do that. Why do they gotta be so angry?" Sarah muttered with a frowned.
"I... I don't know. I don't like it either, Sarah." Clementine said.
"What should we do now?" Sarah asked.
"Pack up what you have, and be ready to move." Clementine said.
It had been too long. Way too long. No sign of Carver and his people, but their group hadn't gotten a move on either.
Clementine felt like her heart would give out from how fast it had been pounding. She didn't understand why the adults weren't treating the situation more urgently. Did they not believe her?
A sudden sound outside draws their attention. One of the glass windows breaks as a bullet flies through it.
"What the hell...?" Alvin muttered.
"Everyone get down. Stay away from the windows." Carlos ordered.
"T-They're here..." Clementine said. "They're here."
"I got this. I'm gonna sneak around back and try to get the jump on them." Kenny said.
"Kenny, don't!" Luke said.
Kenny ignored him.
"Damn it. I'm going after him before he does something stupid." Molly said.
"Too late for that. I'm going too." Luke huffed.
"The rest of you hide. Barricade the doors." Molly ordered.
They didn't have a chance before the door was suddenly being broken.
Everyone quickly tried to find hiding places. And before long the front door was destroyed.
Sam immediately ran over and started growling.
"Now how the hell did you get in here?" Johnny asked.
The dog began barking only to receive a hit on his head with a gun.
"That'll shut him up." Troy grumbled.
"Sam..." Clementine gasped.
Bonnie whistled. "Look at this place."
"You believe this fuckin' place, Bonnie? Power and everything. Lotta windows, though. It's fuckin' huge. Bill's gonna hate it. They could be anywhere." Johnny said.
Clementine peeks over the couch. When the coast is clear, Alvin motions to Clementine and Clementine sneaks over to him.
"They ain't gonna come out, Bill." Troy grumbled.
"Oh, they will... They'll have to eventually." Carver nodded to Troy, who smirked.
"Johnny, cover that window." Bonnie ordered.
Johnny goes over to the window. Clementine sneaks a peek at Troy when seems to be lighting a match. Clementine sneaks across the balcony to Alvin and Rebecca.
"What the hell are they doing?" Alvin asked.
Clementine peeked again. "He... He lighting matches. He's lighting this place on fire." Clementine said. "They're not gonna burn this place down, are they?"
"Knowing their crazy asses, they probably would..." Alvin said.
"F-Fuck... we need to get out of here." Rebecca said.
"Kenny! Kenny, what the hell are you doing?" Luke hissed, trailing after the man.
"I told you, I'm handling this." Kenny said. "If you don't want to help you can take a hike."
"You're gonna get us all killed." Luke huffed.
"Just shut the fuck up already. Get lost, kid." Kenny grumbled.
"This might be good...they don't know how many of us are here. We might be able to sneak attack them." Molly said.
"Exactly." Kenny agreed.
"No, this isn't good. You don't know these people. Carver is dangerous."
"Not against a bullet." Kenny said. "Molly watch my back."
"Will do." Molly said.
Luke groaned at this, realizing there was no getting through to them. He needed to come up with a plan on his own.
Sarah nervous watched Troy light up a match, dropping one to the floor. "I... I need my dad. I n-need him..."
Sarita tried to comfort the girl. "Shh... You'll be okay..."
"I... I can't... I need my dad..." Sarah took some fast breaths, panicking.
"Sarah, calm down...please. You'll blow all our cover." Walter said, trying to calm the girl.
"I don't want to die. I don't want to burn to death." Sarah said, tears filling her eyes. "I need my dad…"
Carlos frowned from his hiding spot he had to find a way to Sarah. She needed him. The man tried to sneak out undetected on for a bullet to fly in his direction.
"Not so great at hide and seek, are ya?" Carver chuckled. "Stand up."
Carlos did so.
"Turn around." Carver ordered.
Carlos turned and suddenly spit in the other man's face.
"It's nice to see you too." Carver wipes his face then punches Carlos.
"Dad!" Sarah exclaimed, breaking from Sarita's grip and rushing over, giving their hiding spot away.
Tavia aimed her gun to Walter and Sarita. "Up. Now."
Troy stomps the match out with a chuckle. "That was too easy."
Carver's group lines up their hostages and binds their hands with zipties. Carver grabs Carlos' arm, dragging him in front of the group, and punches him in the stomach.
"Dad!" Sarah gasps.
"Listen, I'm only gonna ask you once. Where's Rebecca?" Carver asked.
"Sarah, look at me. It's gonna be okay." Carlos said to his daughter, ignoring Carver's question.
Feeling annoyed and impatient, Carver grabbed Carlos' hand and broke one of his fingers causing the doctor to scream and Sarah to cry more.
"Rebecca? Rebecca, our baby deserves to be raised in a place of safety. I know you're out there. And Alvin. And Luke. And the girl. This is real simple. You want this over quick, you all play nice and show your faces." Carver said.
"Don't hurt my dad! Please!" Sarah pleaded.
"He'll kill him." Alvin said to Rebecca from their hiding spot.
"No, Alvin." Rebecca took his arm, stopping him from revealing himself.
"We gotta go down there." Alvin said.
"I can't do that." Rebecca argued.
"Bec...the baby...you need a doctor." Alvin said.
"No. Molly, Luke, and Kenny, they're still outside. They can help us." Rebecca replied.
"We have to help Carlos." Clementine said.
"Only way to help him is to do what the man says." Alvin pointed out.
"What about Molly, Luke, and Kenny?" Rebecca asked.
"Look at those guns. We start shootin' and people are gonna die, on both sides. And the only way out is through these windows." Alvin stressed.
"Clem can fit out the window." Rebecca said.
Meanwhile, Carver breaks another one of Carlos' fingers.
"DAD!" Sarah screams.
"Clem can sneak out. Find Luke or Molly." Rebecca said.
"What the hell's she gonna do? And you heard him. Carver knows she's with us." Alvin retorted.
"Just stop! Don't hurt my dad. Please." Sarah's cries reached their ears.
"We're going down there." Alvin said.
Rebecca shook her head. "He'll kill you."
"Fuck you. Shoot him! Somebody just shoot hi—"
Carver grabs Carlos' hair and puts a knife to his throat, cutting the doctor's yells off.
"Clem, go get help." Rebecca said.
"He'll kill him, Bec!" Alvin protested.
"He'll do it anyway." Rebecca stated.
"You don't know that." Alvin said.
"Say goodbye, Carlos." Carver said, keeping the knife at Carlos' throat.
"Don't look, sweetie. Don't look." Carlos said to his crying daughter.
Carver kept the knife at Carlos' throat then spoke, "Nobody? Now that's disappointing."
"I think I have a plan..." Clementine tried to tell Alvin and Rebecca.
Alvin shook his head. "Kid, no. Just stay with us. We have to go down there."
Rebecca frowned and took a deep breath then stood. "Bill, stop!"
Carver hummed, throwing Carlos to the floor. Rebecca and Alvin make their way downstairs unaware that Clementine's not behind them.
Carver caressed Rebecca's face. "You alright?"
"Fuck you, Bill." Rebecca spat before she and Alvin walked over to join the others in the lineup.
"You don't want to do this. Please, let these people go." Walter said.
"Just shut up!" Bonnie ordered.
Suddenly Johnny is shot in the head.
Sarita gasped. "Kenny...!"
"Don't move." Bonnie ordered to the group.
Carver and his group hide behind the columns and look out the broken window near Johnny.
"I can't see him." Bonnie said.
Kenny and Molly find themselves stationed behind some trees.
Carlos' screams are loud even from outside.
The two have a good view of the window and Molly swears when she sees their people starting to get rounded up.
"Fuck... we need to come up with a plan." Molly mumbled. "Wait... Where's Luke?"
"Hell, I don't know. Just be glad we don't have to hear his whining." Kenny said.
Molly just sighed.
"Looks like they got everyone." Kenny noted as Rebecca and Alvin come downstairs. "Who are these guys? Can we take 'em? I've got a pretty clear shot on the one. Just a little bit to the left, you son of a bitch. That's right..."
"Do it. It's worth a try." Molly said.
Kenny shoots Johnny directly in the head, killing him. "Got him!"
However their victory is short lived as Carver grabs Walter and drags him over to the window. Walter sees the nearby picture of him and Matthew. Carver shoots him in the head. Sarah screams and sobs.
Molly's eyes widened.
"No!" Sarita yelled.
"Walt!" Kenny exclaimed.
"That's for our man. Now, I didn't want to do this, but you ain't leavin' me much choice. So here's what's gonna happen. I'm gonna march another one of your friends out here and I'm gonna put a bullet in the back of their head. Or you can give up now. Your choice." Carver says.
Kenny fires another shot, the bullet hits the column Carver is hiding behind. "Motherfucker."
"We need a better angle. Let's move over there." Molly motions to a nearby skating rink. Kenny nods and the two quickly head over.
Kenny lines up his gun again as Carver shakes his head and starts to walk back to the group.
Just then, Clementine jumps from the second floor balcony, landing on Troy's back.
"Holy shit!" Kenny said.
"Fuck... She's gonna get herself killed." Molly said. She had to do something.
No one had time to react before Clementine had stabbed Troy in the head, killing him almost instantly.
"What the fuck?" Tavia gasps.
Carver then points his gun at the child. "Drop the knife."
Clementine refuses, but stays still.
Carver glares at her and approached. "I'm not the one to be played with girl. Drop it."
Clementine holds his cold glare, when he gets close enough to grab her, she nearly evades him and tries to swing the knife at him. Carver however grabs her arm twisting it with a threat to break it. "You're a fucking hell cat, aren't you? I'm not fucking around. You killed one of my men. That won't go unpunished." Carver said. "Bonnie, check her for weapons and get her tied up.
Bonnie nods and does so. "Don't do anything stupid. You don't want to make Bill angry.
Clementine glared at her as the woman checks her pockets and sleeves, taking any weapons she finds.
As Kenny gave another shot, breaking yet another window, Carver huffed.
"Still not giving up?" Carver asked. "Fine." He grabs Alvin.
"Hi, Alvin." Carver spoke in a fake friendly tone.
"You motherfucker." Alvin hissed.
"Alvin!" Rebecca cried. "Bill, no! Tell him to stop. Kenny, stop!"
"Do you remember George, Alvin? You see, I do. I remember a guy that was your friend named George. I remember when you murdered him in cold blood. And why? Because you didn't like me? You could've lodged a complaint. You could've...well, you could've been civil." Carver said.
"BILL, NO! We'll do whatever you want!" Rebecca exclaimed.
"I love you, Bec." Alvin called to his wife.
"BILL! PLEASE!" Rebecca cried.
"Tavia," Bonnie turns to the woman, "Get me one of them zip ties."
"On it." Tavia said.
Using Bonnie's distracted moment, Clementine kicks her in the shin before rushing over to Carver and Alvin.
Pulling a hidden knife from her training bra, she manages to stab Carver in the leg.
"Fuck! Same fucking spot! You little bitch!" Carver hits her in the stomach, before grasping his leg.
Both Tavia and Bonnie aimed their guns at her and Alvin so they won't move.
Seeing the struggle between Clementine and Carver made Molly sick. She was worried that man was gonna put a bullet in her girl's head.
"Damn. It's a tough shot. What do you think?" Kenny's voice pulled Molly's attention to him.
"If you think you can make it, shoot him!" Molly said.
Kenny pulls the trigger.
Carver is shot and falls to the floor. However he gets up, holding his wounded right shoulder, and shoots Alvin in the head.
"NO! ALVIN!" Rebecca shouts in despair.
"Alvin! Rebecca. Don't look. Just don't look, Rebecca." Carlos said.
"Kenny! Stop this!" Sarita pleaded.
Carver walks over and picks up Clementine. He takes her to the window and points the gun at her head.
Seeing this Molly feels her heart drop.
"We can do this all night. Is that what you want?" Carver yelled.
"They got Clem... What do we do?" Kenny asked, nervously.
"We gotta stop... Or he'll kill her." Carver said.
"But..."
"We don't have a choice, Kenny. We have to give up!" Molly said.
"We can't just give up! We-"
"Kenny. He'll keep doing this. If you shoot, Clem is as good as dead. We have to give up." Molly said firmly.
Kenny frowned and lowered his gun. "We're comin' out!" Kenny called dropping his gun.
They walked to the front door and Bonnie aims her gun at them. "Let's go."
Kenny and Molly join the lineup.
"Where's Luke? Finally cut and run, huh? Why am I not surprised?" Carver scoffed. "I warned you. I warned you not to follow him. And look where he's led you. But you're safe now. We're going home. As a family."
Clementine never wanted to throw up more in her life, when hearing the word "family".
"Alright. Round 'em up. We're heading back to camp." Carver said.
