Also, Volume 3 is not very interesting to me, so I'll skip over quite a few scenes.

"Kick their asses, Weiss!" Aris cheers. "Run 'em through and then dance over their unconscious bodies!"

"O-ho!" Professor Port says into the mic in the announcer's stand. "It seems we have another astonishing bout ahead of us." He turns to Oobleck. "Wouldn't you agree, Professor?"

"Doctor," Oobleck corrects. "And yes, I think it's safe to say that this match may be one of the closest we've seen in the four-on-four round of the tournament!"

"For those of you just now joining us," Port declares, "welcome to the Vytal Festival Tournament! Broadcast live from the Amity Colosseum."

Down in the half-ice, half-volcanic arena, team RWBY of Beacon is battling team ABRN of Haven Academy. A girl on a hovering skateboard assaults Blake Belladonna, who deflects the hoverboard twice before countering with Gambol Shroud. The hoverboard girl backflips into the air, splitting her hoverboard in half to form two SMG's. Unfortunately, she lands flat on her butt, knocking her Aura into the red (somehow).

Yang Xiao Long is tripped up by team ABRN's own brawler girl, being sent into the icy side of the arena. Before another member of team ABRN can take advantage of Yang's struggle to not slip on the ice, Ruby hits the opponent's feet with a Dust bullet, encasing his legs in ice. "Got your back, sis!" Ruby says.

"But who's got yours?" says a team ABRN member with a staff.

Turns out, that person is Weiss Schnee. The Atlesian Heiress casts a glyph behind the staff wielder and slams into him with Myrtenaster.

BGM: MEGALOVANIA (Undertale) - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Weiss and Ruby work together to fight the staff wielder from Haven. Weiss comes at him from all directions with her glyphs and Myrtenaster. Ruby knocks into his staff with Crescent Rose. The duo stands side by side, facing the opponent with unflinching bravery. The staff wielder dodges their attacks and throws a volcanic crystal at the hoverboard girl, who slams it into her board, turning the green lights red. She winks at Blake before riding her board over to her frozen teammate, using the board to melt the ice around his feet.

The hoverboard girl assaults Blake again, knocking her away with a slam of her board. Blake runs around behind a large ice spike via using Gambol Shroud as a sort of grappling hook with its ribbon.

Hoverboard girl goes behind an ice crystal, seeing Blake standing there, looking away. She smirks and rides toward her.

The hoverboard girl kick-flips at Blake, only for her to fade away. The real Blake throws Gambol Shroud into another ice crystal as a sort of trip wire, sending the hoverboard girl right out of the arena.

"Oooh!" announces Port. "Double whammy! Reese Chloris is eliminated by ring out and Aura level!"

Weiss assaults the two males of team ABRN by sending out her gift from Aris. "Articuno!" she calls. "Use Blizzard!"

Articuno flaps his wings at the boys, whipping up an icy tornado and sending them flying towards the edge of the arena. The remaining female of team ABRN, a young woman named Arslan, intercepts the tornado and frees her male teammates.

Articuno uses Ice Beam to whip up a sort of half pipe of ice. "Yang!" Weiss calls. "Now!"

Yang surfs the ice as Blake helps out by swinging her with Gambol Shroud. Yang flies into the remaining three members of team ABRN, greeting them with a punch that knocks their Auras into critical level.

End BGM

"And that's the match!" Port announces. "Team RWBY is victorious!"

Weiss pats her Legendary. "Good work, Articuno."

Some time later...

It's team JNPR's turn to fight for Beacon now, and they're doing battle with team BRNZ in a mountainous forest environment. Port finishes the countdown, and the fight begins.

BGM: Boss Fight 1 - Kid Icarus: Uprising

The only female member of team BRNZ retreats into the forest behind her, as the three males rush team JNPR, slightly outnumbered. Pyrrha fights one of the boys, Ren fights a second, and Jaune takes on the third.

Mid-battle, the girl starts firing pop shots at team JNPR from the trees. "Retreat!" Jaune cries. He and his teammates run into the mountains.

"What do we do?" says Pyrrha after she and her teammates take cover behind some rocks, the three male members of BRNZ running at them.

"Spread out!" Jaune instructs. "Stay on the move as best you can!"

Ren is knocked down by a red-haired boy, whose weapon is imbued with electricity. "Ren!" Nora exclaims before going after the redhead. She is stabbed with the weapon also, but instead of going down, she merely smirks.

"Oho!" Port proclaims from the announcer's booth. "It looks like Nora Valkyrie is charging up her Semblance."

"Yes," says Oobleck. "Miss Valkyrie's Semblance allows her to produce, as well as channel, electricity straight to her muscles. This allows her to jump high into the air, wield her mighty hammer, or in this case, absorb Nolan's attacks and shatter his kneecaps to pieces!"

Nora smirks, backing away from Nolan and swinging her hammer right through his legs sweeping him to the ground and allowing her to smash him into a faraway boulder.

Jaune looks behind him and notices a lightning storm brewing atop the peak of the mountain on the other side of the arena. "Nora!" he says. "Get to the top of that mountain!"

"On it!" says the Thor-like girl.

"Ren, keep that sniper girl distracted," Jaune commands.

"Sure," Ren says sarcastically.

The remaining member of team BRNZ assaults Jaune and Pyrrha with a pair of spinning throwing blades. Ren goes at it with Nolan as the sniper takes pop shots at him. "Nora!" he calls. The ginger continues climbing the mountain.

"Pyrrha!" says Jaune, being assaulted by the other member of team BRNZ. "Up!"

Jaune raises his shield, allowing the invincible girl to launch herself into the air and block a shot heading for Nora with her shield.

Meanwhile, the ginger hammer girl raises Magnhild over her head, and a bolt of lightning hits it. It looks like a scene from some movie. She fires a volley of pink grenades at the sniper, forcing her to retreat for another area of the forest. Nora follows it up by slamming Magnhild into the rest of team BRNZ, sending the three young men to the ground.

"Let's finish this with team attacks!" Jaune says. "Ren, Nora! Use Flower Power!"

"Wait, what?" says Nora.

BGM: sans. - Undertale

"Flower Power," says Jaune. Ren shrugs. Jaune explains. "That's your team attack name."

"Since when?" asks Ren.

"Guys, we went over this!" says Jaune. "Flower Power is Ren and Nora. Ren brings the flower, Nora brings the power."

"Where am I supposed to find a flower?" Ren says. "Half of the forest is burnt to ash."

"No, silly," Nora laughs. "Not a plant flower. Baking flour!"

"What purpose would that serve?"

Jaune sighs. "Ren, it's your symbol."

"Jaune, what are we?" Pyrrha questions.

"You and I are 'Arkos,'" Jaune answers. "It's that thing where we take our shields, remember?"

"Arkos?"

"Yeah. It's our last names put together."

"Right, no, I get it."

"Do you not like it?"

"No, no, it's...good..?"

"I sensed hesitation!" says Nora.

"Hey!" says the leading member of BRNZ.

"Huh?" says team JNPR in unison.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Trying to have a team meeting," says Jaune. "Thank you very little."

"We're in the middle of a fight!"

"And we're in the middle of a conversation! What part of that do you not understand?!"

"Um, Jaune?" says Pyrrha. "I think he means that we're all in the middle of a fight."

Jaune sighs. "Nora, smash."

Nora smirks wickedly. "Got it."

Nora leaps at team BRNZ, swinging Magnhild like a golf club and knocking them all right out of the arena.

"And with that," says Port, "it appears team JNPR wins, quite literally, by knockout. Can...can someone go make sure team BRNZ is okay?"

Meanwhile...

On the shady side of Vale, there's an older man sitting in a seedy alcohol joint appropriately named the "Crow Bar". He looks onto a TV screen in the establishment and sees a picture of four first-year students from Beacon with the message "Team JNPR defeats Team BRNZ!"

"Huh," says the mustached brunette bartender. "Those kids weren't half bad."

The lonely patron sighs and takes a sip of his drink.

After the next match...

Team SSSN of Haven Academy has just beaten the all-female team NDGO of Shade Academy in Vacuo. "Woo!" says the bartender. "Now that was a match."

"Pfft, that was a mess." The lonely bar patron rolls his eyes.

"C'mon, man," says the bartender. "Ya didn't like them, the Vale kids, or anyone before that. Who are you even rooting for?"

Outside, in the distance, an ornate Atlas airship flies by, ribbons flowing from its wings. The patron nods at the ship. "That one."

He downs the remainder of his drink. "Woo..." he slams the cup on the counter with a handful of Lien. "Happy Vytal Festival."

The patron staggers drunkenly out of the bar and out into the open sun.

Back at the Colosseum...

Yang gets up from her seat with Blake, Weiss, and Ruby, as well as team AMPR. "C'mon," she says. "Let's go congratulate team SSSN."

Weiss looks up into the sky. She sees a familiar airship flying overhead. It's a much more elegant looking aircraft, with long ribbons flowing off of its four wings. It looks like a backwards X-Wing fighter from Star Wars. "She's here..."

Aris stands next to her. "Who's here?"
