EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI
Part 5: Preparations for the Battle
As we already know, the little villagers of the forest moon of Endor (by the way they are called Ewoks) accepted Gil, Molly, Goby and Deema as their own. In addition to following BP-2 as their god. Some said something to Bubble Puppy in the language of the Ewoks.
"Arf Arf Grrrr Arf Arf Arf" Bubble Puppy barked something to its friends.
"That's good! Now we are part of the tribe" Molly said happily. Ewoks were happy.
"What a lucky ours" Goby said carrying one of this little fish.
"They will help us in our fight against the Empire" Deema said happily.
"I'm not sure if these little ones will be enough. But ... a little help is better than none" Goby commented.
"They are good news. Don't you think so, Gil? ... Emmmm Gil?" Molly noticed her best friend wasn't with them. She decided to leave the cabin and noticed the dark and starry sky of that place. She found her friend looking at the sky. She felt that something was wrong with him "Gil…..Something bothers you? You've been like this since you came back. Tell me what's wrong with you. Trust me"
"Molly…..(sigh) Many things have happened. Lots of information that is difficult to process" Gil said.
"Do you want to talk about it with me?" Molly asked.
"Well...You must know it sooner or later….I will try to be clear. Molly ... do you remember your parents?" Gil asked again.
"Hmmmm my father is a farmer. You know him. But….my mother….I don't remember her. Why do you ask me that? Something haunts you?" Molly was more confused.
"Molly ... Krader is here on the moon. He can feel my presence. That is why I have to go. If I stay, I put all of you and the mission in jeopardy. The time is coming when I have to confront him" Gil explained.
"Why?" Molly asked.
"Molly, what I'm going to confess to you must be a secret. Don't tell anyone. Can I trust you?" Gil asked. Molly just nodded "Okay...Darth Krader….is my father"
"Your father!?" Molly was surprised and scared.
"And that is not the whole truth. It is difficult to accept, but you need to know. If I don't return, you will be the last hope of the galaxy" Gil said seriously.
"Don´t said that, Gilly. You have a power that I don't understand and I never will have it" Molly was more confused than before.
"You´re wrong, Molly. Listen to me, The Force is intense in the people closest to me. My father has it. I have it ... And ... (sigh) my best friend has it" Gil said that "You...Molly...You have this power. In time you will be able to master that power that you have within you" Molly was shocked. She had the Force like her best friend.
"Well….It's a relief. I thought you were my brother or something crazy like that. It would be weird since I kissed you once ... (sigh) But being serious, I already imagined it. I felt that something strange had in me" Molly explained.
"And that's why you understand why I must face him" Gil said.
"No, Gilly! You have to run away if Krader feels your presence. I would like to run away with you" Molly proposed.
"Molly, you not. You always was strong" Gil intervened
"But why should you face your father?" Molly asked.
"Because….I can feel that there is still goodness in him. He will not hand me over to the Emperor. I will save my father and bring him to the good side, to the light. I should at least try" Gil explained.
"I think...I can't change your mind" Molly said. He shook his head. He took her friend's hand and gave her something. She was surprised by what he gave her "It is…."
"Yeah...My father's lightsaber. The weapon of a Jedi. I lost the saber in Bespin, but I made a secret visit and was able to get it back. Now it's yours" Gil gave it to his friend.
"Gilly! It is your father´s weapon! I can not accept it. It is yours by right" Molly was surprised.
"You are the only person who can have it. I trust this saber in you. I know you will make good use of it and in time ... you will be a powerful Jedi. If I come back, I promise I will train you if you want. But if I don't, someone will help you. A friend of ours who managed to return from the Force Underworld" Gil explained. He was referring to Master Grouper. Gil was ready to leave but his friend stopped him. She took his hand and she finally did. She kissed him on the lips. She had the feeling that she would not see him again and so she decided to do it at that moment.
"I...I...I always wanted to tell you that. But I never had a chance. If you don't come back, at least I wanted you to know how I feel about you" Molly blushed.
"...Molly….I...I...I have to go…." Gil blushed too. But he had to keep calm. He had to control his feelings, because they can betray him in his mission to save his father and defeat the Emperor. He gave her one last smile and went to fulfill his destiny as a Jedi Knight. At that moment, when Gil was gone, Goby and Deema arrived.
"What happened?" Goby asked. For the first time Molly started crying. She had a feeling she would never see the boy she loved again. She hugged Goby and Deema tightly. They saw each other again and comforted her. They must be ready for tomorrow's battle.
It was already a new day. Molly, Goby, Deema and BP-2 were able to meet with the squad of rebels who were with them from the beginning. Besides that they took some Ewoks warriors with them. They were hiding as they saw several Imperial soldiers guarding the shield generator and some ship platforms.
"Here's the plan: Goby, me, and Bubble Puppy will go to the shield generator with a squad. We will try to distract them and get closer to the generator. Molly, your mission is very important. We are few soldiers and the Ewoks do not have enough technology and weapons to stop them. They will help us distract the soldiers and set traps for them. Molly, you have to get to one of the imperial terminals and send signals to the rebel fleet to send transporters with reinforcements. Because the imperial fleet will be occupied with our fleet, they will not be able to send reinforcements" Deema explained the plan.
"All right. Count with me" Molly nodded.
"Do not worry, honey. I have entered more guarded bases than this" Goby smirked.
"Arf Arf"
Meanwhile in space. The great fleet of the Rebel Alliance was ready for the attack on the Second Death Star. Oona and Nonny would lead the attack on the famous Millennium Falcon with the help of the great Admiral Shrimpbar. The star cruisers and the X-Wings and Y-Wings ships were prepared for the space assault.
"Purple Leader Oona reporting. All ships in attack position. We prepare for light speed" Oona ordered.
"Advise the Admiral of the jump into hyperspace" Nonny added.
"Prepare the countdown. Set all systems in attack position" Almiral Shrimbar said that in his star cruiser ship.
"Oona, are you sure they can disable the shield on time?" Nonny asked.
"I trust them. They will make it. I know it. Something bothers you?" Oona asked.
"I just...I have a bad feeling about this. I can imagine all the possible tactics that the Empire can apply to destroy us" Nonny answered.
"Trust, Nonny. The Force will be on our side. I know" Oona smiled him.
"And the Dark Side is with them" Nonny said that to himself. He knew it. But Oona couldn't hear him.
"All ships jump into hyperspace" Almiral Shrimpbar ordered. All the rebel fleet obeyed him and they were prepared for the travel and the imminent attack.
We now return to the ground attack on the moon of Endor. Because the Ewoks know the area better than anyone, they led Goby and Deema toward the back door of an imperial base. There were about four Lobster Troopers scouts. The rebels planned a stealth attack. But one of the Ewoks decided to sneak up on each other and stole one of the speeders. That forced three of the soldiers to follow the little fish that took the speeder. They followed him into their speeders. Now there was only one left. The rebels surrounded that soldier and he could only surrender to them. Goby, Deema, and other rebels entered the base that was the shield generator. BP-2 decided to watch from outside on a hill next to some Ewoks.
"All right, idiots. Get out of here now!" Goby ordered to the imperial officers with his gun pointed to them. They obeyed and left like cowards. The rebel soldiers began to place the explosives in the place.
"Goby, we must put them fast before …" Deema proposed before something bad happened.
"Before what, rebel trash?" An imperial commander said that before many Lobster Troopers arrived surrounding Goby, Deema, and the rebels. Now our heroes had to surrender.
"Oh oh" Goby and Deema said worried.
Molly decided to go on her own to some imperial communications terminal. She could see that there were many lobster troopers guarding the site. She worried a little.
"I don't know if I can do it alone. I can not" Molly was worried.
"Molly….Trust in the Force, my little friend. I always be with you" A special voice came to Molly's head.
"Mr Grouper!" Molly was surprised. But she couldn't see him.
She saw for a few seconds the lightsaber that Gil gave her. If he gave it to her it was for some purpose. She was one of the last hopes for the galaxy. Molly sighed before preparing to fulfill her mission to help her friends end the Empire.
