The team kept their pace and soon enough they were almost done. To no surprise, the interview didn't give them any new information. Naru expected a little more to be honest. It looked like there was no starting point this time. "Then, I'm going to meet Akane. She and her mother are the only ones left to question." Mai yelled opening the door. Masako followed. "I'm coming with you."

"Take Takigawa with you. We still have no camera there." Lin said.

The girls stopped and looked at the man. The at the monk. "Lin, can we take someone less scary with us? The poor girl is sick." Mai asked with a little pity in her voice. Some for Akane and some for Bou-san. Lin seemed to get the message. "Then, John." The three of them headed out. A few feet from the base they could still hear the monk yell. "What the hell was that supposed to mean." Or something along the lines.

They reached the girl's room and were let in by her mother. Akane was laying on her futon while Ryoko was kneeling by her side. As soon as she let the group in Momoe rushed to seat beside her mother. "So you've been here, Ryoko-san." Mai said as she and Masako approached both women. John too, immediately went to get the work done. "Yeah, I can't focus on anything when I know the state Akane is in." She sighed. The girl was pale and looked underweight. At least she still could move. "Is she asleep?" Masako asked. Momoe shook her head. "She sometimes says that she has no energy to open her eyes, let alone speak."

"Then about the activity." Mai wanted to ask but the two women shook their heads. "I'm sorry, but we won't be of much help. We too know nothing." Momoe continued. Mai sighed. "It looks like we really have no starting point."

"I'm done here." John informed and having nothing much themselves the girls decided to head back. They were stopped just as they reached the door. "We have a very old warehouse at the back of the house. Some things there are over 500 years old. You may search it through if it will help." Ryoko offered. "Thank you. I'll inform my boss about it." Mai smiled as they left.

"Mother, father said to never open it, remember?"

"Do you want the poor girl to die just like the rest?" Tears filled her eyes. "Let them search if needed. I want it to end."

As promised Mai told Naru about the warehouse and since they had not much to do any way they decided to head over there. They might actually find something useful there. "Can you go and call Ryoko-san? I would like her to come with us." He ordered. "Also, we need someone to stay here just in case."

Lin nodded. So did Madoka.

Suddenly Mai came running back into the base. "Got her. She said to wait for her there because she has to find the key first." The girl said between breaths. "How the hell did you do it so fast. It's impossible even if you were running." Takigawa exclaimed. "I run into her on the second corner." She answered. "Anyway, come on guys." She waved then went out again. The group followed her.

"How did you even know the way to the warehouse." Ayako asked as soon as they arrived. "I followed Yoru." Mai explained. To be honest, it looked like the cat visited every possible corner in the house while the equipment was being set up. He truly does not fear whatever is in the house. "Look, it's Ryoko-san." She pointed at the approaching figure. "I have the key. We can enter." The woman said opening the giant lock that was placed on the door. "Come inside. The warehouse has three floors. Everything on the third floor is probably the oldest." She said pushing the door open." Please be careful. No one was here for a long time. We don't know what truly is in here."

Ryoko then went back to her daily duties.

"Should we split?" Gene asked. He was the first one to enter. "Then I want the third floor. I want to see what they have there." Mai agreed. "Then I want to stay down here. It's hard to claim a ladder wearing a yukata." In the end, Naru and Mai went to the 3rd floor, Ayako and monk to the 2nd and Masako, John, Gene and Yasu stayed downstairs.

Time passed rather quickly. They were in there for more than an hour already with no results. No of the items seemed important to the case. Soon enough Gene and Yasu got bored so they just started fooling around, taking interest only in thinks that seemed fun to them. For example, they found two katanas and decided to have a sword fight. Thank God, they were wooden or else Yasu might have been without an ear after that. Next, Yasu found something that looked like a jewelry box. He opened it but instead of jewelry, he found a small glass bottle inside.

"What you got here?" Gene asked looking over his shoulder. "I don't really know." He lifted the bottle and directed the flashlight from his phone onto the label. "Love potion." Gene read. "Love potion?" Yasu repeated. "Like hell imma believe that."

Gene took the bottle out of his hand. "Don't say that. What if it works? You said you have that guy that you like right?" He joked.

Yasu gave him a glare. "I have some self-confidence you know." The boy started. "And I would never make anyone drink that. You don't what to know what's in there." Yase then gave Gene a piece of paper he also found in the box. The boy got goosebumps as he read it. "Yeah, you're right. But I wonder about that self-confidence of yours." He said placing both of the items back on their place. "What do you mean?" Yasu asked. "If you really were that confident you would already confess." Gene answered. His voice sounded like he was upset or/and sulky. He then turned around ending the conversation and yelled. "Ey John, Masako. Does one of you need a disgusting love potion?"

The pair was surprised at first but both of them blushed quickly as some ideas went through their heads. Well, of course, both of them knew that the love potion was fake and that they would never use it anyway. But these images still pooped out. "No, we don't." They answered at the same time. "Stop fooling around and search properly." Masako scolded them. At this point, her head probably met with more spiders than this family had members. Let alone the spiderweb.

Mai and Naru sadly had no results either. Naru even tried to touch a few items to see if his power would work but nothing. Somewhat, Mai was glad that it did not work. She was worried every time he used or wanted to use it. "Maybe we should head down?" Mai suggested. She lost all the hope that they were going to find anything useful there. The girl turned around and took just two steps when her foot his something making her trip. Luckily for the girl, Naru had a pretty good reflex. He managed to catch her by the arm and pull her back on her feet.

He then looked down to see a, now knocked over, box and more than a few candles all around it. Mai immediately fell to her knees and started collecting them. Naru kneeled beside her and decided to help. He reached for the first candle and…

Mai saw the expression on his face. "What is it, Naru." She asked. Naru however did not answer. "You saw something?" This time he nodded slightly. He looked at the candle he was holding. Not only did it look very old but it was also half-burned already. "So what did you see?"

"A circle made out of these candles. And a person in the middle. It's safe to say that that person didn't look very alive."
