Jim and I walk down to the lower decks to where the long boats were. We could hear Silver's voice from down there. "Morph, we gotta make tracks." he said in a whisper. The two of us find the old cyborg by one of the long boats.

Jim and I look at each other for a minute. He leaned against a pole with his arms crossed while I stood next to him with my hands on my hips. We both smiled at the cyborg warmly.

"You never quit, do you?" Jim asked, getting Silver to look back at us. "Ah, Jimbo! Jenny! Ha ha!" Silver chuckled, standing back up, "I was merely checking to make sure our last longboat was safe and secure." He was taking the rope and tied it loosely.

Jim and I glance at each other before making our way to him. Jim and I kneeled down to tie the loose rope at the same time. "There." I say, looking at Silver with a light smile on my face. "That should hold it." Jim says, standing up with me with the same light smile.

"I've taught you both too well." Silver says with a chuckle, standing back up, "If you both don't mind, we'd just as soon avoid prison." He stands back up with Morph in his hand. "Little Morphy here, he's a free spirit." Silver says as Morph happily flies around him. That is until Silver caged him in his hands.

"Being in a cage, it'd break his heart." Silver said, bringing Morph close to him as he petted him gently. Hearing this made me feel sympathy for both of them. Jim and I looked at each other. Our eyes told what the other was thinking.

We both smiled in return as I grabbed the lever that was next to me, pulling it down to open the hatch below us. Silver looked down at the opening hatch. "Ohh…" he gasped, looking back at Jim and I. Jim had already untied the rope.

Once Jim stood back up, Silver gave us a smile. "What say you two ship out with us? You, me, her, Hawkins and Silver?" Silver offered, the smile growing.

Silver took off his pirate hat and put it on my head. Because it was bigger than my head, it tilted over my forehead. I lifted it up with my finger with a playful chuckle.

Morph turns to a pirate hat and sits on Jim's head as he repeats, "Ship out with us.". "Full of ourselves and no ties to anyone." Silver says, moving away from us. Jim and I glanced at each other with a light smile.

"You know," Jim said, taking Morph off, "When Jen and I got on this boat," he tickled Morph, getting the giggling blob to turn back to normal.

"We would've taken you up on that offer in a second." he finishes, petting Morph. I gave Silver his hat back and ran my fingers through my messy brown bangs that hung on the left side of my face and fixing my loose ponytail that laid over my left shoulder.

"That was until we met this old, fearless, and wise cyborg." I say, looking down at the open hatch, "And he taught us to chart our own courses.". "That's what we're going to do." Jim said, looking down at the open hatch.

"And what do the both of you see in this friend of yours?" Silver asks, walking to us. A smile crossed our lips; a smile that showed we were both happy. It was something neither of us have shown in a long time.

Jim and I looked back at Silver with those same smiles. "A future." Jim answered for the both of us. Silver chuckled heartily and smiled in return.

"Why, look at you two, glowing like a solar fire." Silver says, seeing how much Jim and I have changed over the course of a short time period. "You two truly are something special. You guys are going rattle the stars, you are." Silver says proudly.

His words of wisdom spoke to Jim and I in a way that made us feel warm and happy inside. The slim of tears formed in my eyes. Jim had tears in his eyes too.

For the first time in our lives, we were shedding tears because we were feeling the happiness in our hearts, not because we're sad.

Silver held out his arms for a hug. Jim and I took the offer as we walked into Silver's arms, hugging him back. As we hugged, the tears spilled over silently. Neither Jim nor I have felt this happy in such a long time.

Silver cleared his throat as we broke the hug. He wiped his robot eye. "Got a bit of grease in this cyborg eye of mine." He coughed, his back facing us.

Jim and I wiped the tears from our eyes as well. Morph then starts to cry hysterically as he turns to a puddle. "Hey, Morph. We'll see you around, okay?" Jim says, catching him in his hands.

"Yeah, we'll meet again, little guy. Don't you worry." I chuckle, petting the pink blob. "See ya around…" Morph chittered sadly, licking our faces. He then floats over to Silver, giving us a sad look.

It was quiet for a minute before Silver broke the silence. "Morphy, I've got a job for ya." He says to the blob.

Morph looks at Silver and squeaks. Silver pulls him in as if to whisper to him. "I need you to keep an eye… on these here pups." Silver says, looking at Jim and I.

The two of us were surprised by this decision. "Will ya do me that for a favor?" Silver asks, playfully pouting. "Aye captain." Morph said, saluting him. He nuzzles Silver's cheek before floating to Jim and I.

The blob nuzzles our cheeks, getting me to giggle. Jim and I opened our eyes to see silver slowly descending from the ship. "Oh, and another thing." He starts, reaching into his pocket and pulls out a handful of the treasure.

"This is for y'all's dear mother; to rebuild that Inn of hers." Silver says, tossing the treasure up to Jim and I. Jim catches the treasure with both hands.

Jim and I look at each other for a moment before looking back at Silver. Old habits die hard I suppose. "Stay out of trouble, you old scalawag." Jim chuckled at him. "Yeah, take care of yourself out there." I say to Silver.

"Why, Jimbo lad, when have I ever thought otherwise? And I will, Jenny lass, just ya wait." Silver chuckled, dropping to the open sky below us. He took off from us. From afar, I see him tip his hat as a goodbye gesture.
