Jacob stared at the ground in horror, "Have I just imprinted on Luna?" He thought.
Sam seemed to notice what had happened. He hissed, "Jake just imprinted! Jacob, take Luna somewhere and explain. Go!"
Luna's Patronus dissolved into fine mist at the mention of her name. Jacob grabbed her and hand and took her into the forest.
Jacob kept stealing glances worrying that he was running too fast. When they were a good distance apart from the rest of the tribe, Jacob was still trying to form his words for his imprint. Luna was waiting patiently without a word. He began, "Shape-shifters imprint on others. They instantly love her, and they become the partner they desire. It could be a friend, boyfriend, etcetera." He made a few hand gestures. He told her dreamily, "Its basically love at first sight, and you are my imprint." He paused for a few seconds. "Are you following?"
Luna nodded. She said knowledgeably, "Then you must have shifted while I was in England, because you saw me during the prom."
Jacob nodded in confirmation, and explained, "If an imprint rejects the shape-shifter, then he would go into despair, and live a depressed life, unless the imprint comes back." He stared at her anxiously, hoping that she got the message.
"I accept." Luna smiled, and kissed his cheek.
Jacob was grinning ear to ear. He offered her a piggy-back ride. Luna was resting comfortably on his warm back on the way back to the bonfire.

Hermione was quietly communicating with Embry, who was explaining the art of imprinting to her. He spoke in a low voice. "It is a wolf trait. They are soul mates, and then Jacob fell in love with Luna at first sight a few seconds ago. It all depends on if Luna would agree to be his mate. Emily is Sam's imprint and Kim is Jared's."
Hermione replied confidently, "I'm sure I would go alright. Luna is a sincere and kind person who would give Jacob a chance." Embry looked at her skeptically but didn't reply.
On the other hand, Bella was shouting in indignation. Her boyfriend just went out into the woods with another girl. "What happened? Why won't you tell me?"
The pack shook their heads. Bella would be even more insufferable if she finds out what imprinting means. Sam tried to calm her down. "Jacob will explain when he gets back, alright? It won't take too long."
A few minutes later, Jacob came back delighted with Luna on her back. He whispered, "Please get off for a moment. I'll have to explain to Bella."
Luna jumped off her back and walked to Hermione, who hugged her tightly. "I assume it went alright?" Hermione asked.
Luna nodded and looked away dreamily.

"Bella, you have to understand." Jacob commanded, losing his temper. "I told you—imprints are not something I have a choice on."
"What about me?"
"Luna is my soul mate. As a werewolf—er—shape-shifter, I can't simply ignore and cancel imprinting. It happened, and there is no going back."
Without another word, Bella ran back to her car. She managed to get to her room without tripping. She burst into a flow of tears and completely broke down.

A/N: A super short chapter! I did promise that I would answer all questions that would be asked.
The main question is: Why the heck did Bella get rejected by both Edward and Jacob? I know that this is unusual. Earlier I mentioned how I couldn't decide between Team Edward and Team Jacob. That's because I am Team Neither (this is not a joke)! I don't like Bella, since she is extremely selfless and makes others do the work for her. So I think that she doesn't deserve Edward nor Jacob. Sorry to all Bella-lovers out there.
Will Hermione be part of a paring? No. Hermione will stay single throughout the story.
What is going on between Ron and Lavender right now? Are they dating? Engaged? Or did they break up? I can't tell you.
How AU is this story? Will Victoria come back like she did in New Moon? Maybe.
