Volume 2: Chapter 7 Dance Dance Infiltration
In the CCT Tower
While she school dance was just starting Rock was sitting in front of a screen in the CCT tower, waiting for his call with Dr. Light. While he was waiting for the call to start, he was wearing his school uniform as a suit for the dance but instead of the normal tie he wore a blue tie for the event.
After a while of waiting the call finally went through and he was greeted by the image of his father.
"Hey dad." said Rock awkwardly.
"Rock, good to see you. How have you been?" asked Dr Light.
"I'm good... Great even." said Rock, with an unsure look on his face.
"Are you really doing ok?' asked Dr Light.
"Why would I not be doing ok?" asked Rock.
"Cause you look troubled, and trust me. I would know, I created you." said Dr Light.
"I know... It's just." said Rock, struggling to think of what to say.
"Just what? Rock, if there is something wrong you can talk to me." said Dr Light.
"I'm... I'm sorry!" Exclaimed Rock as tears streamed down his face.
Dr Light saw the tears streaming down Rocks face, and replied in a calming tone "Oh Rock, what do you have to be sorry about. You didn't do anything wrong, besides I don't blame you for what happened."
"You don't?" asked Rock as he stopped crying.
"Not at all, now tell me what has been troubling you." said Dr Light.
"I thought you were upset with me! I thought you were mad at me for not listening to you, for causing you to get into trouble. For not contacting you for months!" Exclaimed Rock.
"I wasn't mad at you, I was worried. Worried that you were losing yourself, I hoped I would have been able to help. But then I realized that maybe it would be for the best if you figured some things out on your own." said Dr Light.
"It worked, thing are getting better. My teammates are helping me get over my issues, and I'm glad that Auto is here as well. It means I have someone to talk to about my problems." said Rock as he dried of his tears.
"Good to hear, now tell me about your team." said Dr Light.
"Alright, but it is a bit unconventional. You see, we are the first team to be a team of five." Said Rock.
"Oh a team of five, interesting. Well, why don't you tell me about them." said Dr Light.
"The first two are half sisters, Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose." said Rock, as he saw Dr Lights eyes light up in glee.
"Oh Tai's kids, how are they doing?" asked Dr Light.
"They're doing great, Ruby is our team leader and the two of them are kind of the ones that prevent the team from bursting into fights or arguments." said Rock, causing Dr Light to chuckle.
"I can see that Ruby takes after her mother, always there to stop people from fighting. Just like how I remember Summer." said Dr Light.
Rock then gets an awkward smile on his face and asks "You know what happened to their mothers, right?"
"I do, unfortunately. Raven disappeared after Yang was born, Summer never returned from a mission and Tai has gone off the deep end." said Dr Light.
"How do you know about the last part?" asked Rock in surprise.
"I used to get visits from Qrow, but they have now become less frequent." said Dr Light somberly, as he thought back to his younger days. He then snapped out of his thoughts and said. "Ignoring that, what about your other teammates?"
"There is Blake Belladonna, she is anti social and mysterious." said Rock.
"Belladonna? As In Ghira and Kali Belladonna?" asked Dr Light.
"You know her parents?" asked Rock.
"Not that well, I met them once when I was younger. I was traveling through remnant to get inspiration for my future career and came across Menagerie. There I met him and some members of the White Fang." said Dr Light. "I even build some of them mechanical limbs."
"The White Fang!" Exclaimed Rock in shock. "You know what they have been doing in recent years right
"I do, but don't worry. That was back when he was still in charge, and they... were... less violent." said Dr Light.
"So what happened?" asked Rock.
"I stayed as their guest for a month, and in that time I mostly fixed the outdated technology and built new limbs for anyone who had lost them." said Dr Light. "After that month I left to travel to a different place, and I never saw them again."
"That's unfortunate." Was all that Rock was able to say.
"It was, but there is no point in living in the past. Now tell me, who is your last teammate?" asked Dr Light.
Upon getting the question Rock got a sheepish look on his face and said "You're not going to like the answer."
"Just tell me Rock, no point in dancing around the question. I mean, it's not like you managed to get on the same team with Jacques Schnee's daughter." said Dr Light in annoyed tone.
"Yeah, about that." said Rock with an awkward look on his face.
"Oh no, don't tell me." said Dr Light.
"Yup, my last teammate is Weiss Schnee." said Rock.
Dr light face palmed and said "We really have the worst luck, don't we?"
"Sure do." said Rock.
"Are you at least able to deal with her... attitude?" asked Dr Light.
"I have, she is actually not as bad as she seems once you get to know her. I mean she started out as a massive brat, and has a tendency to fall back into that behavior. But she has made massive improvements since the start of the school year." said Rock.
"Good to hear." said Dr Light with a genuine smile on his face "How goes the robot hunt?"
"Great, so far... I think... I might have... taken down around twenty of them." said Rock.
"That's good." said Dr Light "You have any other questions for me?"
"One, a couple of weeks ago I had a dream about a floating white hand, after that a dream about a cliff and me getting killed by a blinding light. I feel like something is wrong, you might think I'm crazy. I mean Auto couldn't find anything, but I feel like I have been there before. Like I lived in a different world, before being created in this world." said Rock.
Dr Light stayed silent for a bit, thinking about his answer and then replied with "I believe you Rock."
"You do." said Rock in shock.
"I do, because I once had a similar dream when I was younger." said Dr. Light.
"What, how?" asked Rock.
"I'm not even sure, but I once had a dream or a strange vision about working in a large mansion, talking to a floating hand about a future event and then a core being mentioned. After that I woke up." said Dr Light.
"Did you understand what it was about?" asked Rock.
"Unfortunately I don't, cause every time I think back to it it gives me a massive headache." said Dr Light "Anything else?"
"Auto said you made upgrades for me, I know about the auto screw collector. But is there anything else?" asked Rock.
"On the top of my head, I remember one upgrade. You can now instantly switch between weapons." said Dr Light.
"Oh, but then I have already been using that upgrade." said Rock.
"Well sometimes we just do the right thing without even noticing." said Dr Light, as a bell then went off. "Oh that's all the time we have, anything you want to say before you go back to the dance?"
"Yeah, I asked Ruby to the dance." said Rock.
"Good to hear, you should probably go now. It would be rude to keep a lady waiting for too long. I'll speak to you soon." said Dr Light.
"Speak to you soon dad." said Rock as the screen turned off, he then added. "And thanks for reassuring me."
Rock then turned off the computer and walked towards the elevator. He then thought to himself "Better get to the dance fast, can't let Ruby wait for too long." As he left the room and started making his way to the dance.
At the dance
The dance had been in full swing, students were enjoying their time at the dance, teachers were having fun and might have had a bit too much to drink and Ruby was standing by the punchbowl.
Jaune approaches her and says "I see you're hiding at the punch bowl too."
"At least until Rock gets here." said Ruby.
"Until then, to the socially awkward." said Jaune, as he and Ruby clink their beakers.
"Sorry that you couldn't find anyone to go to the dance with." said Ruby.
"Eh, it's fine. My friends are happy, so why should I be angry about that." said Jaune.
"Sorry we couldn't go see that movie." said Ruby.
"Like I said, it's fine. Besides, we could always watch a movie after that week long work study." said Jaune.
"Yeah, it's just a shame that Yang didn't have anyone ask them to the dance and I'm not even sure about where Pyrrha is right now." said Ruby.
"Wait what?" asked Jaune in confusion as he almost choked on his punch, he then added "I knew that no one asked Yang, I mean to be honest she scares me at times, but Pyrrha isn't here. Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I haven't seen her all night." Said Ruby.
"Do you know where she is right now?" asked Jaune.
"Not sure, something probably came up which made her be late." said Ruby.
"I'm going to go look for her." said Jaune as walked towards the exit and then bumped into Rock "Oh hey Rock, Ruby is at the punchbowl." said Jaune as he left the dance hall.
Rock nodded in response and then made his way over to the punchbowl. Ruby was distracted and didn't see him approach her so he said "Hey there beautiful, couldn't help but notice that you were all alone. Hope you don't mind me keeping you company."
"I'm sorry but... " said Ruby, only to turn to the person speak to her and exclaim "Rock! You're here!"
"That's right, hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long." said Rock.
"You didn't, I had Jaune to talk to." said Ruby as she then punched Rock in the arm.
"What was that for?" asked Rock as he grabbed onto his arm.
"That was for being so corny, don't do that again please. It doesn't fit you." said Ruby.
"Noted, you want to dance?" asked Rock.
Ruby hesitated for a bit and then replied with "Sure, but not for too long ok?"
"Off course, I wouldn't want you to do something you're not comfortable with." said Rock.
Rock took Ruby by the hand and took her to the dance floor. The two then began to dance to the rhythm of the music.
After a bit Ruby heard Rock counting, so she asked "Rock, why are you counting?"
"I'm counting to remember the beats of this dance so I won't mess up, and accidentally step on your feet." said Rock.
"Rock, don't worry. People are bound to make mistakes, even when dancing. I won't let you stepping on my feet ruin my night." said Ruby.
"Thanks Ruby." said Rock.
The two then continued with their dance, and as they followed the movements it felt like time had slowed down for the two. The two stared into each others eyes, each of them mesmerized by the color of their partners eyes.
If they had the choice they wouldn't mind staying like this for the rest of their lives, but unfortunately they were snapped out of their thoughts when they bumped into something.
Rock and Ruby turned around and saw that they had bumped into Blake and Sun, who also turned around to face them.
"Oh hey guys, how are you two doing?" asked Sun.
"We're doing good, great even." said Ruby.
"You two enjoying your night?" asked Blake.
"I've only just arrived, but the dancing makes it feel like an eternity. What about you two?" asked Rock.
"It's good, although I've had to keep Blake from getting bored and leaving the party multiple times this night." said Sun, which caused Blake to elbow him in his ribs "Ow!"
"Don't be such a crybaby." said Blake, she then turned to the duo and said "Enjoy your night, we're going to grab some punch."
"We are?" asked Sun.
"Yes, we are." said Blake as she grabbed Sun and pulled him along to the punch.
"Did she look-" Said Rock.
"Happier, yeah I notice it too." said Ruby, finishing Rock's sentence as the two went to sit down at some free chairs. She then looked around and saw Pyrrha enter the room, but chose not to say anything about it.
"Maybe Yang interfering might have helped her." said Rock.
"I guess her overprotectiveness over friends and family came in handy for once." said Ruby.
"Awwww, thanks." said Yang as she appeared by the duo.
The two then turned around in shock, and saw Yang standing behind them with a grin on her face.
"Yang!" Exclaimed both Rock and Ruby.
"Hello!" She sang.
"What are you doing here, shouldn't you be at the door?" asked Ruby.
"I should, shouldn't I? But all the guests have arrived, so I guess I'm free right now." said Yang.
"Why did you decide to scare us like that?" asked Rock.
"Cause it's fun, now why are you sitting down. I watched you two dance, why did you two stop. You didn't do that bad of a job." said Yang.
"Because my feet are killing me in these lady stilts. So I'm resting them." said Ruby.
"Well, if you don't mind I'm going to steal your date for a dance or two." said Yang.
"Yang, no." said Ruby.
"One dance?" asked Yang.
"No." said Ruby.
"Half a dance?" asked Yang.
"Sorry Yang, I came to the dance with Ruby. I'm not going to leave her alone after I came in late." said Rock.
Yang then gave a content smile and replied with "That's good to hear, you are a true gentlemen Rock. Although I already knew that, if you don't mind I'm going to hang out with you two."
"Nope, it's completely fine." said Rock.
"Cool." said Yang as she sat down, and then looked over to Blake and Sun having a good time together. She then added "I guess my meddling can be helpful, isn't that right Ruby."
Ruby sighed and replied in annoyance "For once, I'm going to agree with you." She looked around at everything in the dance and added "You and Weiss did a great job planning the dance."
"Aww thanks." Said Yang as she pulled Ruby into a one armed hug, from which Ruby tried to escape. Once Ruby managed to escape Yang added "Tomorrow it's back to work."
"I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us, right Rock?" asked Ruby.
"Totally." said Rock as he looked over to the dance floor and saw Jaune arrive in a white dress with a blue ribbon "Except for that!"
"The heck is vomit boy doing?" asked Yang.
Earlier
Jaune had been walking outside on the Beacon grounds in search of Pyrrha, after a while of searching he finally found her walking towards the party with a troubled look on her face and seemed to be in deep thought.
Jaune approached her and said "Hey Pyrrha, are you ok."
Pyrrha, having been snapped out of her thoughts, looks at Jaune in shock before calming down and replying "Oh, Jaune it's you. Don't worry, I'm fine."
"You sure, you seem a bit troubled." said Jaune.
"I got a call from my mother." said Pyrrha, she then noticed the shocked expression on Jaune's face and added "Don't worry, it wasn't negative. She actually congratulated me on being in the top of the class."
"Then what's wrong?" asked Jaune.
"It just felt strange, hearing her compliment me after so long. Like it was an actual genuine compliment." said Pyrrha.
"Good to hear things are getting better for you, and I can just say that you look really nice tonight." said Jaune.
"Thank you Jaune." said Pyrrha.
"Your, uh, date isn't going to beat me up for saying that, is he?" asked Jaune.
"I think you're safe for tonight." said Pyrrha.
"So, where is the guy?" asked Jaune.
Pyrrha blushed in embarrassment and replied "There is no guy."
"What?" asked Jaune in confusion.
"Nobody asked me." said Pyrrha.
"But that's... that can't... You're Pyrrha Nikos! How could nobody ask you?" asked Jaune in confusion.
Pyrrha sighed, turned away from Jaune and replied with "I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise from fans, but when you're placed on a pedestal for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place."
She then turned back to face Jaune and added "Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That i'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people."
"That's what I like about you. When we met, you didn't even know my name. You treated me just like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendship that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with. Someone who just saw me for me."
"I'm sorry I didn't think about that." said Jaune as he began to walk away from her.
"Jaune, where are you going?" yelled Pyrrha.
"I'm going to grab something from the dorm, you go to the party. I'll see you there in a bit!" Shouted Jaune as he ran off towards the dorm building.
Back in the present
Jaune approached Pyrrha, who was hanging out with Ren and Nora, she turned around and said "Jaune?" in confusion.
"I made my bed, now I have to lie in it." said Jaune.
"Jaune, you didn't have to. It was just something you yelled in the heat of the moment!" Exclaimed Pyrrha.
"Eh, too late to change it now." said Jaune. "You want to dance?"
Pyrrha blushed at the question, grabbed Jaune's hand and replied "That would be lovely."
The two then made their way over to the dance floor, being followed by an excited Nora and a confused Ren.
"Ren, this is happening!" exclaimed Nora.
"Wait, what is happening?" asked Ren.
The two then joined Jaune and Pyrrha and began to perform a choreographed dance routine.
The dance gets the attention of most of the students who begin to cheer on Team JNPR.
The distraction allows Cinder the opportunity to leave the party, and make her move to the CCT.
While on her way there she asks through the communicator on her ear "How long do I have?"
"You should probably be home by midnight, to be safe." replied Emerald.
"But's that's more than enough time." said Mercury, receiving an elbow in his ribs from Emerald.
"I'll keep my eye on the clock." said Cinder as she made her way to the CCT tower.
Back at the party Rock felt his entire body shake, as if he had been stabbed by a thousand needles. Ruby noticed and asked "Rock, are you ok?"
Rock began to sweat and replied "I can't breath... I need some fresh air."
Ruby nodded and replied "Then I'm going with you."
"No don't, enjoy the party." said Rock as he was about to leave, only to be stopped by Ruby.
"I can't enjoy it, if you're not there. I'm going with you." said Ruby.
"Let's go then." said Rock, as he and Ruby left. Ruby quickly mouthed the words 'be right back' to Yang, who nodded in understanding.
The two made their way outside, allowing Rock to take a deep breath and managed to calm down for a bit.
"Rock, whats going on?" asked Ruby.
"I don't know, one moment I'm enjoying the party and the next I get this chill. As if the universe is telling me that something happened that shouldn't have happened." said Rock.
"I don't understand what that means, but are you feeling a bit better?" asked Ruby.
Rock calmed his breathing once more and replied "Yeah, I feel a bit better."
"Good." said Ruby, she then looked around and saw a figure running across the rooftops. "Rock, we have to go. There seems to be trouble."
"What are you talking about?" asked Rock in confusion, to which Ruby pointed at the figure running across the rooftops. "Oh I see what you mean."
"Lets go." said Ruby as the two ran over to the CCT tower, while Ruby had her scroll out to summon her locker with her weapon in it.
When they were a few hundred meters away from the tower, Ruby came to a halt and had the locker land near her. She grabbed her scythe from the locker, but unbeknownst to her several small capsules were thrown on the floor.
Rock saw what happened and exclaimed "Ruby! Look out!" as he tackled Ruby to the ground and away from the capsules. At the same time the capsules detonated, creating a massive explosion.
The CCT tower
Cinder, dressed in a black outfit hiding her identity was now at the entrance of the tower, saw the explosion, smirked and said "Guess some tried being a hero."
She then entered the tower and was approached by an Atlas soldier who said "Excuse me, no one's allowed in this area."
Cinder ignored the guard, and charges at the guard. She jumps at the guard and throws him into another guard. Knocking both of them out, after which two more guards appear.
These guards wield batons, so Cinder uses her the fire dust in her clothes and her semblance to create fire blades. She engages the two guards and uses the blades to keep the guards on edge.
Her fire dust enhanced blades manage to destroy the batons, after which she kicks the two guards unconscious.
Then several turrets appear at the entrance of the tower, Cinder uses her blades to destroy the turrets before they can fire at her. She then sees another guard in a security booth.
She rushes over to the guard, and manages to knock out the last guard that was present at the entrance.
The elevator is then heard coming towards the ground floor, Cinder hides behind a pillar and then when the elevator opened she knocked out the two guards when they get out of the elevator.
She throws the bodies out of the elevator and then presses the button for the top floor. The doors close and she makes her way to the top floor.
With Rock and Ruby
For the next few seconds all that Ruby was able to hear, was her ears ringing. She then regained her hearing and saw Rock still holding onto her.
"Rock... You can let go of me, I'm fine. I think we're safe." said Ruby.
"Oh, right. Sorry." said Rock awkwardly.
Rock then stood up, helped Ruby to stand and held up his buster. He then heard robotic laughter coming from within the trees. He pointed his buster at the trees and said "Napalm Man! Show yourself!"
"With pleasure." Said the voice, after which a figure jumped down from the trees. Revealing a purple robot with missiles sticking out of his body and tank tracks on it's feet.
"Why hello there Mega Man, how are you doing?" asked Napalm Man.
"Cut the crap Napalm Man, why are you here?" asked Rock.
Napalm Man put a finger to his face and said "Hmmmm, why am I here. What could it be, oh that's right. I was promised I could blow you and anyone close to you up if I helped Wily's partner with a little heist. Now where was it again, I remember it was a tower."
Rock was then hit with a realization, turned to Ruby and said "Ruby, he's here to stall us. Go to the tower, and stop whoever is doing this."
"Hmmmmm, yes little red. Why don't you do that." Taunted Napalm Man.
Ruby looked at Rock, who simply nodded at her. She then dashed off using her semblance, leaving behind a trail of rose petals.
"Bye little red! I look forward to blowing you up when I'm done here!" Yelled Napalm Man.
Rock ignored him and fired several shots from his buster, Napalm Man took the damage and used his tank treads to try and ram into Rock.
The attack was dodged, and Rock tried to hit him again. The shots seemed to be doing little damage to the robot and he thought to himself "Why did I pick tonight of all nights to leave all the weapon energy in the dorm?"
He was then snapped out of his thought when Napalm Man fired missiles from the compartment in his helmet. Rock used his slide to get under he missiles and to get closer to Napalm Man.
When he got to the robot he fired a charge shot directly into his face, which seemed to knock down Napalm Man. Rock thought he had won for a moment, but then the robot got back up.
Napalm Man then opened a chest compartment and started to charge it. Rock tried to prevent it from doing too much damage, so he fired several shots into the compartment.
When that failed he quickly ran over to a tree and climbed it to the top. He waited for Napalm Man to fire his at the tree, and when the laser was fired he jumped out of the tree.
When he got to the ground, he saw that the only thing destroyed was the tree. While everything else remained unharmed from the blast.
Rock was about to fire another charged shot at the robot, when he was surrounded by two dozen capsules. He realized what was happening, and wanted to jump out of the way. Only to be caught in the blast and afterwards he got flung into a nearby wall.
He then looked at his buster, saw that he had only one bar left and realized that he had become incapable of moving.
Napalm Man approached Rock while chuckling darkly and being surrounded by fire.
"Well, well, well look at you. Exactly in the spot that suits." Said Napalm man as he once again opened his chest compartment "Any last words?"
"You... don't... have... to... do... this... We... are... on the... same side..." said Rock, struggling with speaking.
Napalm Man then closed the compartment on his chest and began to laugh like a mad man. When he finished he kneeled down, and faced Rock saying "You're trying to reason with me, me. Good old Napalm Man, oh Rock how naive you've become."
"Should I remind you of who I am!" Shouted the robot as he punched Rock in the face. "I'm Napalm Man!" He shouted as he punched Rock in the face again.
"I'm the same robot who bought a weapons museum and then blew it up. And you think I can be reasoned with!" He exclaimed as he kept punching Rock in the face.
"Face it Rock, you've gone soft." said Napalm Man as he opened his compartment.
"Now prepare to meet your maker." Said the robot as he began to charge his laser.
Rock was unable to keep his eyes open, and instead waited for the laser to take him out. In the seconds waiting for the end he thought back to the fun times he had here at Beacon with his friends.
He waited for death, but it never came. He struggled to open his eyes and when he opened them he saw that a woman dressed in red wearing a Grimm mask had sliced Napalm Man to bits which included the memory chip.
He then got the message "Napalm Bomb obtained"
The masked women then approached him and gave him an energy tank. He absorbed it and felt himself being repaired.
The woman was about to leave, when Rock called out to her "Wait!... Why... did you... save me?"
The women stopped in her tracks, then turned around, faced Rock and replied "Now we're even, forget that you saw me."
The women then used her sword to create a red portal, stepped through it and then vanished.
Rock was about to close his eyes when he heard someone calling out to him "Rock! Are you ok!"
He looked over and saw general Ironwood run over to him, when Ironwood got to Rock he asked "Rock, what happened?"
"CCT Tower... Ruby went after her... might be trouble..." said Rock, struggling to speak.
"I'm not leaving you here alone." said General Ironwood.
"He's not alone." said Yang, as she, Blake, Weiss, Sun and Neptune arrived at the location.
"Are you sure?" asked General Ironwood.
"Yes, now go before my sister gets into too much trouble." said Yang.
"Stay safe." said General Ironwood as he took off towards the CCT tower.
"Alright Rock, stay awake. We're going to get you to Auto's lab." said Yang, as she and Sun started carrying Rock to Auto's lab. Being followed by the others.
The CCT tower
Cinder had just finished uploading the virus to the computer and the connected the network. She was about to leave the tower to go back to the part, only to be stopped in her tracks by the sound of the elevator coming up. She quickly hides behind one of the desks.
The elevator door opens and Ruby enters the hall, nearly falling over due her heals. She looks around the room, as she was unable to see anyone she called out "Hello, is anyone there? Hello?"
Cinder comes out of her hiding place and smirks towards Ruby. To which Ruby replies "Excuse me? You know, it's not a masquerade party, so why don't you take off that-" Only for her to interrupted by a blast of fire dust coming from Cinder, which she manages to dodge.
Ruby then tries to fire multiple shots at Cinder, which she manages to block with her hands as she activates the dust within her gloves.
Cinder summons a pair of new blades, Ruby then launches herself at Cinder who dodges. She then reforges the blades into arrows, which she fires at Ruby. The red reaper tries to use her scythe to block them, only to get knocked backwards.
Once she regains her bearings Ruby and Cinder begin to stare each other down, only for both of them to get distracted as the elevator makes a sound. Ruby hopes that it is Rock, but is slightly saddened when she sees General Ironwood.
She then looks back and sees that Cinder had disappeared, and a while later Cinder managed to make her way back to the dance with a new black dress.
She then approaches Emerald and Mercury and asks "May I cut in?"
"Of course." said Emerald as she steps aside to let Cinder dance with Mercury.
"And how's you night been?" asked Mercury.
"A little more exciting than expected."
"Should we be worried?" asked Mercury.
"Hardly, they'll be scratching their heads long after we finished what we came here for." said Cinder.
"So then what now?" asked Mercury.
"Enjoy the rest of the night. After all, it is a party." said Cinder as the two continued dancing to their hearts content.
CCT tower
Ruby looked at General Ironwood who had just entered the room, and said "General, there was someone here."
"I know, probably someone with bad intentions." said General Ironwood, he then got a message on his scroll that read 'Suspicious bracelets and traces of fire dust found around the tower.'
"Did you see her, did you see the person who was here!" Exclaimed Ruby.
"No, I didn't." said general Ironwood with a guilty look on his face.
"She was here just a minute ago!" exclaimed Ruby.
"I believe you, Miss Rose. Listen you're going to go and see your teammates." said General Ironwood.
"What why?" asked Ruby.
"It's Rock, Miss Rose. He was heavily injured in a fight, you need to get to him." said General Ironwood.
"Injured..." said Ruby as she fell down to her knees and tears began to drip down her face.
"Miss Rose, please calm down. He's safe, someone gave him the means to survive." said general Ironwood as he approached the girl and began to comfort her.
"I couldn't protect him, what kind of a team leader can't protect her teammate!" Exclaimed Ruby in agony.
"But he's safe Miss Rose, this wasn't your fault. You're young, you're still learning. I see someone here with potential, the potential to learn and improve." said General Ironwood.
"Do you mean that?" asked Ruby.
"I do, now what you have to do is stay strong and be there for your teammate." said General Ironwood.
Ruby then stood up, dried her tears and walked over to the elevator "Thank you general." said Ruby.
"Oh and Miss Rose." said General Ironwood, causing Ruby to turn around "Be ready to answer some questions about this."
"I will general, have a good night." said Ruby as she entered the elevator and then left the floor.
"A good night to you as well, Miss Rose." said General Ironwood as he took a seat at one of the desks, rubbed his face in frustration and asked "What is happening here Oz?"
A/N: There you have it another chapter done, and the chapter ends in a sadder way than the original episode. So I hope you all enjoyed that, Dr Light appeared again and a mystery character made an appearance. I wonder who it could possibly be.
