Armitage VanBreck, 18.
District 5 "Female"

One of the Peacekeepers opened the door, Armitage stepped in taking a seat on the nearby couch. He put his head into his hands, not exactly knowing what to do with himself. The door suddenly burst open, and his family all tumbled in, his mother, father and brother jumping on him to hug him. Armitage burst out into tears, and his brother and dad let go of him, leaving just his mother.

"Armi it's gonna be okay, you'll be okay." His mother said, holding his face in her hands.

"I don't know that Mom, it might not be okay. I don't know if I'm gonna come home." Armitage sat, holding his mother's hand and he pulled her down with him onto the couch.

"Son listen to me, you find yourself some good allies, you try to find a weapon you're good at and you keep yourself as safe as you can." Erick, his brother nodded, thinking about what to add.

"You have to come home Armi, you have to." Erick burst out into tears, which made Armitage start crying again.

"I don't know if I'll come home Erick, but I'll try my best." The family all stood, coming together in a big, crying hug. They stayed that way until one of the Peacekeepers poked her head into the room.

"Times up let's go." His family let him go, moving towards the door. Erick the last one out, poked his head back in at the last second.

"We love you Armi, I'll see you soon." And then he was gone, and Armitage was alone again. He once again took a seat on the couch, tapping his fingers together as he waited. The door opened again, and this time Beth flew in, leaping into his arms. He picked her up off the ground pressing his face into her shoulder.

"I'm so sorry Bethy, I'm so sorry." He said through tears, as he placed her back on the ground.

"It's okay Armi, this isn't your fault." The pair sat on the couch, still entwined. They stayed this way, wrapped up in each other until once again the Peacekeeper poked her head in.

"Times up let's go." Beth let go of Armi, pulling her engagement ring off her finger, and pulling a piece of string out of her pocket.

"Here, take this. Bring it back to me when you come home." Armitage stood, took the ring and string, and pulled her in, kissing her one last time.

"Let's go. Now." The Peacekeeper repeated.

"I love you, Beth"

"I love you too Armi, I'll see you soon. We have a wedding to plan when you come home." And with those words, Beth was gone too. A few moments after she left, the Peacekeeper opened the door, gesturing for him to exit. He stepped out of the room, and opposite the other tribute, Beck stepped out of his room. The two made eye contact, and Armitage nodded at him. They made their way down the hall, a group of Peacekeepers surrounding them. They made it to a set of doors that opened to bright sunlight and the flash of cameras. There was a direct path right to the train they were supposed to be taking to the Capitol. Armitage didn't know where to look, or where to look, so he stared straight ahead, trying to keep a neutral look on his face. They made it to the train, climbing the stairs and exiting out into a very posh looking train car. It appeared to be a dining room of sorts, their Capitol escort, Jesse along with their two mentors, Jules Spingula and Hallium Nechtan were sitting at a table across the car from them.

"Welcome boys, take a seat if you please." Jesse said, patting the empty spaces on the bench. Both Beck and Armitage made their way across the car, sliding onto the bench.

"So boys, welcome to the Hunger Games." Jesse said as the train took off.

Janna Coil, 13.
District 3 Female.

Janna gazed out the window, the scenery moving too fast for her to see anything. It was all just trees and landscape, no other Districts had been spotted yet. She flopped back into the giant, plush bed thinking about the situation she had gotten herself into. She knew she wasn't the strongest or the fastest or the oldest, no not by a long shot, but she could be the smartest. She climbed out of the plush bed, with great effort it was very comfy, and she padded out of her room, into the central area. Sat on a couch were their escort, Lucinda and her fellow tribute who's name she believed to be Malec. They were watching reaping recaps, and right now the cameras were in One, a black-haired boy stepping forward to volunteer. Janna shuddered, even the thought of facing the Careers was terrifying to her.

"You okay sweetheart?" Lucinda asked, pushing now blue hair over her shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah I'm okay."

"Here let me get you a glass of water." Lucinda stood and moved out of the car, into the next. Janna looked at Malec.

"Uh. Hi." Malec said with a little wave.

"Hi, I'm Janna." Janna held out her hand, and Malec took it, shaking it.

"I'm Malec. Wanna uh, sit?" He gestured to the couches and chairs scattered around.

"No I'm good, I'm just looking for Caio or Kendall."

"I think they're in there." Malec pointed in the direction Lucinda went.

"Oh, thanks." She turned moving through the rest of the car as Malec went back to watching the screen. She emerged in the next car, Caio and Kendall were sitting at one of the tables, facing away from her. They seemed to be deep in thought, discussing what she assumed to be mentoring plans. Lucinda was nowhere to be found.

"Hi." All three turned their heads to look at her.

"Hey Janna, what can we do for you?" Caio said, pushing blonde hair out of his eyes.

"Can we talk about strategy?" Janna replied. Kendall and Caio looked at each other in surprise, this must not have been a common occurrence.

"Well uh, we were planning on doing that over dinner, since we need to figure out what kind of information we should be telling you." Kendall said. Janna didn't exactly like Kendall, she had a bit of a look in her eyes that seemed suspicious.

"Oh okay, that works then." Janna turned, leaving to go back to her room. She walked past Malec again who was engrossed in what appeared to be the District Ten reapings. She stepped into her room and threw herself on the bed again, trying to figure out what she was gonna do.

Sarmiento Polar Torres, 18.
District 1 Male.

"Sarmi, dinner!" Milo called down the hall. Sarmi tossed the pad of paper he was writing on onto the nearby, rolling off the albeit very comfortable bed and hitting the floor, stepping out the door. Opposite his room, his district partner, Jade was doing the same. They walked through the hall in dead silence, the ambient noise of the train humming. They made their way through a living room-like car, and into the dining car where Milo, Isia and Remus were seated.

"Hi guys, take a seat anywhere you want." Remus gestured to the empty chairs around the large wooden table. He went for the chair next to Remus and Jade moved across the table to sit next to Milo.

"So what do you two specialize in?" Remus asked as several Avox's appeared out of seemingly nowhere, placing food and drinks on the table. He jumped slightly at their sudden appearance, but that quickly turned to awe at the sheer amount of options there were before him. Across the table, Jade was making a similar face to what he figured he looked like, and Isia and Remus exchanged smiles.

"Dig in you two, we'll talk strategy while we eat." Isia quipped.

"More like duck in." Remus muttered under his breath, gesturing at the roast duck on the table. Isia threw a fry at him which he ducked. Milo sighed, looking exasperated at the pair. Sarmiento was passed plat after plate of food and he didn't really know what to do so he just put foods he knew on his plate. Across the table, Jade was piling everything she could on her plate.

"So, Isia, you were in the same Games as my brother." Jade asked between bites of her food. Everyone at the table froze and turned to look at Isia.

"Yes I did, Mallard. He was a good ally me, and a good friend as well." Sarmi sighed in relief, afraid where that could've gone. From what he had seen from Jade so far, she could be a bit of a spitfire.

Sarmiento pushed his plate away, full.

"So, what kinds of weapons do you two use?" Remus said, turning to look at them.

"I like katanas." Jade said, with a grin. Remus and Isia nodded and turned their eyes to him.

"I prefer knives. And poisons. Traps and stuff."

"That's one we haven't seen before." Isia said to Remus who nodded looked impressed. Milo stood, stretching and yawning.

"Well, I'll take my leave, you lot have fun discussing strategy." A chorus of "Night Milo." Rang out from around the table, as the four turned back to their discussion.

Isia stretched back in her chair, glancing at her watch as her arm came back down.

"Oh jeez, it's late. You guys should head to bed, it's late." Remus nodded yawning.

"Tomorrow's gonna be a long day. Get some sleep." All four stood from the table, the mentors heading in the direction of their rooms, and he and Jade heading towards theirs, once again in silence. As Sarmi was about to turn into his room, Jade caught his arm.

"Hold on, I want to talk to you." Sarmi nodded, prompting her to continue.

"We're gonna ally right?" Sarmi nodded again.

"What about if we don't trust the other careers. What do we do?" He took a second to think on it.

"We ditch them, stick with just ourselves." Jade nodded at this and held out a hand to him.

"Allies?"

"Allies." Sarmi shook her hand, and Jade nodded, heading into her room. He did too, throwing himself onto his bed. He suspected it may be another sleepless night for him, there was a lot of thinking that needed to be done.
