Ch 19 More Surprises

As his sons and their friends were having their battles Yoshi was in search of the Shredder. The brown coated rat was determined to take down his enemy once and for all. But it wasn't Shredder who he found. It was Leonardo. "Hello again rat," the black masked turtle raising his fist. Yoshi's brown eyes went wide and he quickly jumped to the side to avoid getting punched. "You just can't get enough punishment can you?" Leonardo snarled as he took out his katanas and lunged towards Yoshi. But a loud cry stopped him.

"Leo bro don't do it!" Michelangelo cried out, running in front of Leonardo and holding out his nunchakus. Leonardo's katanas got tangled in the chain and Michelangelo quickly pulled them out of Leonardo's hands.

"Damn you!" Leonardo cursed. "You'll pay for that!" But before he could attack again Michelangelo wrapped the chain of his nunchakus around Leonardo's wrist and pulled tight. Leonardo pulled as hard as he could, trying to break free. But Michelangelo held tight and refused to give up. Suddenly Leonardo let out a cry of both surprise and pain and fell to the ground unconscious. Blinking in surprise Michelangelo and Yoshi looked up and saw Donatello there a wooden board in his hands.

"D what the..." Michelangelo began.

"I know Mikey," Donatello said, his black eyes wide. "I..I didn't want to hurt Leo. I had to. He wouldn't..."

"It is alright my son," Yoshi said, putting a hand on Donatello's shoulders. "You had no other choice." Donatello smiled at his father, glad he wasn't angry.

"C'mon lets get Leo home," Michelangelo said. Nodding Donatello went to help Michelangelo pick their oldest brother up. But suddenly Leonardo's eyes flew open and he let out a snarl.

"I'll kill you all!" he thundered as he swung his arms that were still chained towards Donatello and Michelangelo. The chain whipped the two brothers in their faces, slicing their cheeks open. Blood flowed down their faces as they skidded across the ground, scraping their shells on the hard cement. Leonardo let out another shout and freed his hands from the chain. Grabbing the chain Leonardo quickly hit Yoshi in his face, sending him to the ground as well. The oldest turtle then used the nunchaku to hit Yoshi in his head, knocking him out. "And now you die Hamato Yoshi!" Leonardo hissed, grabbing his katanas and raising them up.

"No I will not allow this!" a voice cried out. Leonardo looked over and was surprised at who he saw there.

Karai stared with wide brown eyes at her savior. "Mr. Turner?" Karai gasped, shocked to see the dark head man standing there.

"Are you alright Karai?" Will asked again as he helped Karai to her feet.

"Yeah," Karai said with a slight groan. "I'm ok. But how did you know those badass moves?"

"I learned a thing or two from Yoshi over the years," Will said with a smile. "He taught me the basic skills of ninjitsu and I've been strengthening them over time. I'm just glad to be able to put them to good use."

"You and me both," Karai muttered, holding her side. Just then Casey and April came running up to the pair.

"Karai!" April cried out. When she saw Will her blue eyes went wide. "What.."

"Long story," Karai said. "I'll explain later. Right now we need..." But just then they heard a loud cry that made them all look over. Karai, Casey, and April's eyes all went wide and Will smiled when they saw who had cried out.

"Mom!" Donatello and Michelangelo cried out, their eyes wide when they saw their mother standing there. "Mom what are you doing here?!" Donatello cried out. "You're injured!"

"I will explain later Donatello," Shen said, not taking her eyes off Leonardo, who was staring at Shen.

"Tang Shen," Leonardo said, his voice low and dark. Shen's black eyes went wide when she heard the tone of her oldest son's voice. "Good," Leonardo said, his voice still monotone. "I'm glad you're here. The Master will be pleased."

"Leonardo please do not do this," Shen pleaded. "You cannot murder your own father."

"He's no father of mine!" Leonardo cried out.

"That is not you talking!" Shen declared. "That is the Shredder talking! He's poisoned your mind and has drugged you into thinking your family is the enemy! You must fight him Leonardo! You are stronger than he is my child!" Leonardo's brown eyes widened slightly when he heard his mother's words. But that moment didn't last very long.

"The Shredder is my Master!" Leonardo cried out. "And I will do his bidding! And anyone who stands in my way will be destroyed! And that includes you!" With that Leonardo charged towards Shen, katanas outstretched. Shen moved to the side causing Leonardo to stumble. Then Shen did something that shocked everyone. She threw her arms around her son and hugged him tight. Leonardo dropped his katanas in the process.

"I love you my child," Shen whispered in Leonardo's ear. "And I always will." Shen kissed Leonardo's cheek when she said this part.

"Mom," Leonardo whispered. Shen pulled away from her son and smiled at him. But suddenly she let out a shriek as she was roughly pulled away from her son. Shen was spun around and found herself looking into the face of the Shredder.

"Tang Shen," Shredder said, still having a tight grip on Shen's arm. "At last I have you here with me."

"Let me go Saki!" Shen cried out, trying to pull away from Shredder. But the movement caused a painful tugging sensation to go through her side so she was unable to put up much of a fight.

"I won't let you get away from me this time," Shredder declared as he began to drag Shen away.

"You're not taking our mom anywhere!" Michelangelo cried out, stepping in front of Shredder with Donatello right beside him. Both brothers had their weapons drawn and were in a fighting stance.

"You freaks have interfered for the last time!" Shredder boomed. "Leonardo! Finish them!" Leonardo stared at Shredder for a minute. Then he picked up his katanas and walked towards the group, a strange look on his face. Then he stared at Michelangelo and Donatello, the strange blank look still on his face. The two brother stared back.

"Leo bro don't.." Michelangelo began. But he was silenced by Leonardo kicking his youngest brother to the ground

"Leonardo no!" Shen cried out, still trying to pull away from Shredder.

"Leo stop!" Donatello cried, tackling his oldest brother to the ground. By now Will, Karai, April and Casey had joined the group. Will instantly ran to Yoshi and checked on him. Karai ran in front of Shredder, stopping him from leaving with Shen.

"Father I won't let you take her!" Karai cried out, shoving Shredder backwards. The shove caused Shredder to loosen his grip on Shen and she jerked herself free. A lighting bolt of pain went through her side but Shen ignored it. Instead she ran towards her fighting sons.

"Leonardo please stop this!" Shen said, grabbing her oldest son by his shoulders and turning his to face her. "I know you are in there still my son," Shen said, staring intently into Leonardo's brown eyes. Shen was hoping this action would work as it had before. "Fight these hateful feelings. You can do it my child." Leonardo jerked away from Shen and shook his head. Leonardo shut his eyes tight and shook his head. After a few seconds he let out a furious cry and popped his eyes open. Shen's black eyes widened and she took a step backwards.

"I will do what is expected of me," Leonardo declared, walking past Shen and aiming his katanas and charging. He hit his target hard, making him fall to the ground, blood flowing from the wound Leonardo had inflicted.
