Isabella's Pov:
Watching my dad for all intents and purposes crumple to the floor was disconcerting and I rushed forward to catch him. His heart began to steady as he was unconscious and I laid him on the couch. He looked a wreck, he had lost a significant amount of weight and his skin had a yellowish colour to it. Guilt rushed through me, and I wished Jasper was here to comfort me. He'd taken me in and cared for me and I had disappeared and barely given him a second thought. I turned away from him and went to the kitchen to get him some water.
I regretted this, takeaway boxes littered the counters; dirty dishes were piled up everywhere. It was a mess. At this rate I wasn't even sure there was a clean glass. At vampire speed I took all the boxes to the bin, stopping momentarily to run a hand over Brady's head in comfort. Then I began the dishes, once I had a clean glass I took it out to Charlie before heading back into the kitchen to continuing tidying whilst keeping a listen out to his heartbeat. When it began to speed up slightly I knew he was going to wake up, so I sped back through. Making a gesture to clear a few of the wolves out, just me, Jacob and Sam remained.
'Hey dad' I whispered as he eyes opened.
'Bells?' He blinked a few times as he took in his surroundings. I gave him a weak smile as he chewed his lip. I could tell he was a bit nervous which was preventing his excitement at seeing me.
'It's me' I nodded as I said this trying to convince myself and him. Was I still me? Was I the Bella he had known? I'd killed people, I'd killed animals and I'd bit off someone's finger. Charlie's Bella wouldn't do that. 'But Emmett and Peters niece would' Izzy whispered in the back of my head. Maybe this was who i am. My panic flitted in and out of me, and Charlie seemed to pick up on it and began to knaw on his lip more.
Suddenly his teeth cut through, and his smell of blood drifted into the room and the urge to protect Charlie came over me. I had him back completely into the corner and was growling ferociously at the wolves. They had all shifted and looked pained. None of the wolves could fight me because of the bond, but their main point in life is to protect the humans.
Suddenly a smaller wolves head pushed through and let out a whine. My initial instinct was to growl warningly but the wolf ignored it and snuck up close until his head was resting in my side. The fog around my thoughts began to clear and I understand what I was doing. Spinning abruptly I took in Charlie's petrified face and my heart dropped.
'I'm so sorry' I blurted out, in response he gave me a small smile.
'It's okay Bells' he reached out as his said this and rested his hand against my cheek. Then Marcus spoke, I hadn't really realised he was here, he must've arrived recently during the chaos. 'That was the 13th' he muttered, and as everyone shot him a confused look he sent me a smile before he was gone.
The next few hours were spent getting my dad up to date with everything that had happened, and surprisingly he took it all rather well, it was decided then that he was to stay with the imprints during the fight, in which he argued I shouldn't be allowed to fight. In Jasper was here I'm sure he would've kicked off.
One day, one day until everyone was at risk. I loved Charlie and the wolves, but tonight I needed to spend time with my vampire family. After seeing Charlie head off to Lapush I headed back to the Cullens home where we were staying, straight into Jaspers arms. It took some convincing to send Brady back to the pack but eventually after I'd told him I needed him to protect Charlie he went.
Soon after me and Jasper had sat down in the lounge, Rose and Peter joined us. I sent them a confused look on where their mates were but they ignored it and put a film on before sitting either side of myself and Jasper. I knew everyone's tensions were high. Despite the fact they'd spent years in the wars now they had a family and people they cared about. And half of us hadn't even been in a proper fight ever. 'I love you' I told them all my voice breaking at the end. I was scared, I couldn't even put on a front. I had a beautiful family and I couldn't let them die.
As the film came to an end Jaspers phone buzzed and the biggest smiles lit up on everyone's faces. 'Come with me' Rose said in my ear before standing up and pulling me along, I followed her before turning to Jasper and Rose and asking why they weren't coming. 'We'll be there soon' Jas told me, I followed Rose up to mine and Jaspers room. She shoved the green dress I had bought earlier in day, and told me to put it on. I followed her instructions as she then sat me in the chair and braided my hair.
'Isa, you're so beautiful and I'm so glad i got to have you as my sister' she told me with tears welling up in her eyes. In some ways it sounded like a goodbye, I turned abruptly and pulled her into a hug. 'Thank you Rosie, for everything'
'Enough of this, lets go' turning towards the door she shook her head at me before leaping out the window, smiling at the fact we had the ability to be able to jump out of windows and how carefree she looked, I followed her again. We ran for about five minutes before she pushed me forward and said she'd catch up with me. Walking forward I could smell Charlotte, Jane and Emmett faintly, and the further I went forward Jaspers scent became stronger.
The trees were covered in little fairy lights, and lanterns hung from some of the shorter branches. Some soft music was playing from somewhere and then Jasper was infront of me. He was wearing a suit which made me raise an eyebrow, he looked kind of shy which made me smile. I could imagine him human with a small blush on his cheek. I could imagine us human, with children. A small smile set on my face, 'what's this?' I asked now feeling a bit shy myself.
There was small glasses of blood, and little chocolates which made me giggled, I'd dared Emmett to eat one once and it had made him feel sick for days. A serious look crossed him face which made me give him all my attention, 'Isabella' he began, 'Me and you haven't had enough time together, I allowed myself to be blindsided which has meant I've lost so much time we could've spent together. But the last few years have been some of the happiest I've had and the last few weeks since I accepted the bond I've been complete. You've managed to create the most beautiful and diverse family and friends. You are the most breathtaking person I have ever met. Which is why, I would be the silliest man and vampire alive if I didn't ask you this question.' He then dropped to his knee and I understood where he was going.
Tears welled up in my eyes and I shuffled closer to him as he took my hand. 'Isabella Swan-McCarty, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?' Overwhelmed with emotion I nodded my head frantically whilst pushing happiness and joy in his way. I couldn't do anything else beside crushed him to me and kiss him.
'Yes, yes, yes. Every time yes' I couldn't stop smiling. And then the rest of the family came into the clearing, Rose, Charlotte and Jane all came to me and gushed over the ring and my dress. Whilst the boys sat and watched, eventually Emm and Peter came over and said they loved me and were proud I was their niece. Picnic forgotten we headed back to the house to tell the kings and the wolves. Only to be met with stoney faces.
'It's time' said Caius.
