'Where am I?' Deku thought as he woke in an unknown place. He looked around the landscape around him and realised it was similar to the dreams he shared with Uraraka, except there were no buildings, just a vast empty dark space. He then looked at himself and found himself covered in the fog that used to cover him and Uraraka when they began dreaming. The fog covered everything except his eyes and hands, as well as preventing him from talking.

"Well look at that. The thief did show up" A male voice said from behind Deku. Deku quickly turned around and saw a large, muscular and bald man standing in front of him. "You caused us a lot of confusion when you decided to steal one for all you know" The man said accusingly. "Do you have any idea it is to have the remnants of your conscience split between two people!?" He asked. "Number 8 was the only one who got lucky and was just with the girl" He complained. "Although, I guess that allowed him to make these dreams for the rest of us, so that we could remain sane" The man mumbled.

Deku looked at the man with a confused look, trying to figure out who it was. "You probably have a lot of questions" The man said with a smirk. "Well, too bad. I'm not giving any more information to you villain" He said. "You stole a power that has been carefully passed down from generation to generation so that it can defeat people like you. The only reason I'm even bothering talking to you is because number one forced me" The man said accusingly. "You'll never win, someone will stop you, no matter how long it takes. All the while, me and the others will do everything we can to stop your progress" He stated. "Now go back to whatever you were doing. I've said enough" The man said. The dark fog suddenly flared up and covered Deku, making everything go black.

Deku slowly returned conscience as he opened his eyes. "Deku, are you alright?" Todoroki said from somewhere besides Deku. "Yeah, I'm alright. Just a bit tired" Deku responded as he slowly stood up. "You sure? You've been out for quite a while" Todoroki asked. "Yes I'm sure. Anyways, what happened here?" Deku asked as he looked around the scorched crater they stood in. "You tell me" Todoroki replied. "The operation was going well, and we were rounding up the leaders as you planned. Then there's suddenly a bright green light coming from here followed by an explosion. Once the light disappeared I went here and found you like this, as well as him over there" Todoroki explained and looked over to where an unconscious Re-Destro laid, next to a pile of molten metal.

"Well Todoroki" Deku said with a dark laughter. "It seems like we won" He continued and began walking towards Re-Destro. "Re-Destro's pathetic little-" Deku said, but stopped when he suddenly felt a flash of extreme pain coming from his stomach. His legs buckled under him and he fell on his knees. He covered his mouth with his hand as he began a violent coughing fit. "Are you sure you didn't get hurt during the fight?" Todoroki asked worriedly. "I'm fine. It's nothing that my healing quirk shouldn't be able to fix" Deku replied, not mentioning the drops of blood that was now on his hand. "I need to check something back at the lab. Round up the leaders and bring them in for processing" Deku ordered. He then opened a portal through gritted teeth as the pain flared up again. "Kill the rest, and make sure the public won't forget what happens when you get in my way" Deku said before walking through the portal.

"What the hell is wrong with me now?" Deku said through gritted teeth as he stumbled through his lab. The pain in his body wouldn't stop and he struggled to focus as the edges of his vision turned darker. Deku slumped down in a chair and grabbed a syringe next to him. He injected the substance into his arm and let out a sigh of relief as the pain dissipated. "What the hell was that?" He asked himself as he began filling an empty syringe with his blood.

Phoenix journal: No. 4

Entry 57:

The attack on Deika city was successful. All of the liberation army's leaders are either captured or dead. Re-Destro will soon become yet another of my assets. The remaining liberation army cells will quickly collapse and disappear now that their leadership is gone. Although, something weird happened in my fight with Re-Destro. Some sort of power awoke within me. First some kind of black tendrils that I could control. Then I erupted in some powerful green fire, I think. My memory is still fuzzy at best. Afterwards I awoke in something similar to my and Uraraka's dream landscape. The only difference being that it was empty and there was a bald man there. My best guess is that he has something to do with one for all. Maybe a former holder? I'll see if Uraraka knows anything.

There is also another problem that has surfaced with my quirk after the fight. It seems that I, like many quirkless people, have a dormant quirk. Quirks that are locked away, often incomplete, insignificant, unstable or unusable. I knew that extreme trauma could forcefully activate these quirks, but I didn't think this would happen to me. Now, my quirk, my natural quirk has been unlocked and seems like it borrows power straight from one for all. Oh, how powerful it is. Great blazing controllable green flames. They could probably have rivalled All for one in his prime. However, it is so unstable. It was never supposed to activate, but my other quirks seem to have caused unforeseen mutation that unlocked this power. It is like a glass cannon; it could kill me. Even when not used it causes damage to me. My body is unable to use it. I'll have to use a combination of chemicals to supress it, so that it won't end up killing me. It's not ideal, but I don't need my natural quirk to succeed. After all, I have so many more.

Just as Deku finished writing in his journal someone knocked on the door. "Deku, there is something we need to talk about" Dabi said before he opened the door and walked into the lab. "You're back already? Thought it would take longer" Deku commented. "It has been 9 hours sine the attack. It's night outside" Dabi explained. "Oh. I guess I got slightly caught up in some work" Deku mumbled. "Shoto told me you weren't too well when you left Deika. Did you get hurt or?" Dabi asked. "No need to worry. My healing quirk had just reached its limit and couldn't heal an injury" Deku said dismissively.

"Now, what did you need to talk about?" Deku asked. "I met Hawks again. He asked to meet you. Again. You know, I'm getting tired of making up excuses" Dabi replied with a slightly irritated voice. "Really? I have to say, he is determined. It's just that we can't be sure if he is serious or not" Deku said. "I mean. The number 2 hero wanting to join a revolution that wants to destroy heroes. It is quite suspicious" Deku said with a slight laughter. "However, if he is sincere the impact on the public would be massive" He added and began pacing back and forth, muttering under his breath. "Alright. I'll amuse him. Early tomorrow, you know where. Tell him that if I see anything suspicious, I'll kill him" Deku ordered. "Will do" Dabi replied.

"Let me guess, it's not a coincidence we're having a meeting while Deku's talking with Hawks?" Spinner wondered as he sat in a planning room with Dabi and Todoroki. "No it isn't" Dabi confirmed. "We can't let Deku know about what we will talk about here. If either two of you tells him, I'll make sure you regret it. Understood?" Dabi said seriously, receiving nods from the other two.

"Good. Let's get to business, shall we?" Dabi began "I don't know how much you two have noticed, but there is something different about Deku nowadays something he doesn't want us to know. He has changed since I first met him" Dabi explained.

"Changed? In what way?" Todoroki asked. "Haven't you noticed. Ever since he fully adopted Eri, no scratch that, ever since we attacked Musutafu. It's like something is constantly on his mind and I don't mean the regular thoughts of revolution and experiments. There is something else he is keeping secret from us. Not only that, but his behaviour has also changed, he is calmer mentally now that what he used to be. Maybe it is because of Eri, but I just have a hunch there is something else" Dabi explained.

"Alright, so Deku behaves differently, doesn't mean there is anything behind it" Spinner said "A lot that has happened since Musutafu. He became a father, the revolution has grown considerably, not to mention the pain in the ass that has been the liberation army. People change, he has simply matured. Besides, him keeping secrets isn't something new. None of us know for sure about his life before he became a villain. Hell, we don't even know his real name!" Spinner argued. "Izuku Midoriya, that is his real name. And for the record, me and Dabi both know his story" Todoroki interjected. "Am I the only one who doesn't know?" Spinner asked. "Yes. Even Stain knows" Dabi replied, making Spinner grumble angrily to himself.

"Anyways, all of this isn't just some hunch I have. I have one piece of evidence" Dabi said. He pressed a button and a hologram of a picture came to life above the planning table. The picture was looking at Deku through a slightly ajar door. He was sitting at his desk, writing in a journal. Only a small portion of the text was visible. "åpre sud te væ"

"Alright, so he has a diary. A weird diary with letters I won't try to pronounce, but not the weirdest thing I've seen" Spinner said. "That's not the weird thing about this picture. The weird thing has to do with when I took. Because when I took it, Deku was supposed to be out on one of his trips with Eri. This is half an hour after he supposedly left and an hour before he came back" Dabi explained. "So unless he has suddenly become a very neglectful parent, which I doubt, then Eri is visiting someone else. And Deku is trying to keep that someone a secret from us. So we need to Find out who this person is" Dabi said.

"How? Deku is very careful about what he reveals and to who" Todoroki asked. "I don't know" Dabi admitted. "Even this picture I got of him was just dumb luck. We'll just have to do our best at investigating him without waking suspicion" He said. "And what about the revolution? Do we just continue following him knowing he keeps this secret from us?" Spinner asked. "Yes. We have no chance of achieving anything without him. None of us can compete either mentally or physically. Not to mention that the revolution is practically built around him. That's why we need to be extra careful. One misstep and…" Dabi said, but stopped when he heard someone approaching. He quickly turned off the picture before the door opened, revealing Deku. "Good, you're all here already. We need to make some plans" He said with a smirk.
