Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Cloud Nine. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ducktales, Disney and Jymn Magon do.

(Scrooge's Mansion)

Sam didn't know if he should find it extremely amusing that his wife had tricked someone far too much… mostly herself considering she had wanted to give Launchpad lessons in training.

"Sam…." He already knew that Della was annoyed at him. the smirk he hides under his hand only gave way how amused he was.

A 36-year-old woman who clearly knew her children were very important to her… decided to out doofus herself merely because she had to point out Launchpad needed professional help as a pilot.

It didn't work that well when SHE claimed the best pilot in the world, which instantly led to Della now having to teach Launchpad.

"No don't mind me, this is way too funny…" Sam smirked even more.

Was he going to keep getting his wife so ticked off at him that she considered ripping him apart? Oh, that was entirely on the table and he wondered if she was considering how best to destroy him at the moment.

It was still the fact that he had entirely tried to talk Della out of trying to scold him that made him entirely made him mostly apathetic to the situation.

Della wouldn't mess up the plane, she loved the Cloud Slayer only slightly less then she loved the rest of her family.

"Sam…." Della's lips contorted in a snarl that was matched only by the adorable fact that her eye was twitching.

Yes, Della did terrify Sam… she was also never going to fully back up her threats of violence against anyone in the family. She was like Donald at times, very much bark, the bite only came out when she was pushed far beyond what was considered worth it for a person.

"Yes, Dell?" Sam considered helping Della with the plane work, what was doing was entirely cruel and even he felt bad doing it at the moment.

"You're not being funny… at all." Della growled out, Sam hummed and leaned on the engine more.

"Me? funny? perish the thought." Sam turned to look away from the amusing sight.

His thoughts went to what the kids were probably doing. He knew they went on a tour or such, but knowing his kids? Sam guessed they found a way to turn it into an adventure somehow.

"You know, I did honestly try and stop you from saying something like you know… like talking yourself into a corner. You didn't want to listen to me." Sam stated, barely turning to direct his words at his wife.

There were 3 reasons he didn't get up to help Della with the Cloud Slayer.

He wasn't getting paid… which he found funny with how many times he put HIMSELF in turmoil talking with Scrooge.

Sam loved fixing up the Cloud Slayer, but the plane no longer remained his to fix. He wasn't going to fix the Cloud Slayer since it no longer remained Della's property and thus, he considered Scrooge having someone else fix it at the moment.

Della was never going to learn to grow past her ego if he helped her. Sam loved Della, but her boasts often made her think she was never wrong with piloting. She was a great pilot, but terrible at hedging her bets against herself… like telling Launchpad she was a master pilot and he needed a master pilot or something similar to teach him.

That, and it was just funny seeing Della get so huffy over having to teach Launchpad all about flying. Sam knew Della was going to walk over and give Launchpad a piece of her mind because Della always had the inability to just walk away.

"You are so dead when this is done." Sam hummed, knowing that while she was right?

He was still only going to help when she admitted that maybe she overreacted considering how Launchpad hadn't done too bad a job.

Then again? Gum in the plane made him cringe, as did the engine falling off… but considering the fact that Della didn't even try to be cautious and approach the issue delicately?

"You know, YOU liked to help me fix the plane all the time." Della muttered as she continued trying to fix up the propeller.

Sam sighed and finally got up before twirling the propeller the right away.

"Dell? I love you, and I think I've said that so many times… But you need to learn to stop at times… I told you not to go and challenge Launchpad on who's the new super pilot… telling Launchpad he needs a bit of professional help. You're literally the best pilot in the world, you don't have to bring it up all the time, though." Sam walked back to the oil drum he decided to sit on before.

Sam hummed and leaned back. he couldn't say he didn't do ANYTHING for his wife today.
