Good God, I have to go back and fix like...3 chapters worth of errors. The amount of errors I made in my last chapter was to the point I might have to re-write the damn thing so it can make sense to new/future/current readers. I've never made so many errors like this. But that's my bad seeing as how this story has seen many hiatuses to the point I honestly forgot my lines. I will clean up my errors and keep this story straight. That's what happens when I write shit at like...3 in the morning sleepy AF. So sorry to my readers. Good grief! Here's the new installment, enjoy. Oh, and please go check out my other joint DEATH NOTE. That story is my baby. All my stories are my babies and I'm excited to see both of these joints to the very end. Enjoy Roses.

Huey nervously sat at the Hill waiting for Jazmine to show up. This whole thing with Franci, Daphne, Stacey, and Ayanna, and everything else was such a steaming pile of mess. He just hoped it wouldn't jeopardize what he and Jazmine had going.

"Huey," Jazmine spoke from behind him; he whirled around and attempted to talk, but Jazmine only raised her hand to stop him.

"Why didn't you tell me about Franci? All this time those sisters and their friend were giving us grief and you knew about it. You were the sole reason for it." Jazmine's voice was stern and even, and it was making my stomach queasy. Huey never heard her talk to him with that tone of voice.

"I was ashamed, like I didn't expect it go this far. Ming tried to warn us about Caesar and that's why we weren't there at the school, Riley and I were doing some stuff to try to rectify the situation. We had no idea all that happened."

"Because your phone was off…Huey, I just came here to tell you that I need a break."

"….A break?"

"I need time to myself for a little while…and you do too. Your selfish actions ruined a lot of things."

"Now hold on a minute," Huey said getting angry, he wasn't totally the root of all this, "You don't think I also had something to do with Caesar messing with Stacey? And I tried to apologize to Franci, she wouldn't accept my apology!"

"Let me guess, you didn't know about that either, and who knows when you tried to apologize. I was out the loop for a lot of things; I wouldn't know what all you'd do." She rolled her eyes at him.

"I really didn't!" he shouted, "Ayanna is a cool person, of course I would've let her know about that sooner before she was going on dates with him!" Jazmine was unmoved and just sighed.

"Okay I understand…well see you around Freeman." She waved at him before leaving. Huey stomach was twisted up into knots, was it really the end? No, she said break. Damn it! Ugh, he kicked at the ground in frustration. This was really the end result of not listening to Ming all those months back on top of Huey not handling the shit between him and Franci. Goddamn!

Riley was hanging with Sofia that same afternoon. Cindy was off doing something with Bambino and so he decided to stay with her. He felt sorry that Ayanna was expelled and stuff. But she was hood for busting those bitches in the mouth with bats and shit. He hates he missed it. Riley could tell Sofia was down about her friend having to go to another school.

"Hey, at least you'll see her after school and on weekends. Not the end of the world, sad nigga."

"She's grounded for the rest of the school year. She emailed us saying the last time we were at her house really was the last time for a while. And they took her phone, thus why she emailed us."

"Damn, her parents tripping, it wasn't even all that deep. They were messing with her."

Sofia just sighed and looked out her window, "Yeah…this just puts a wrench in the plans we were making to get back at Caesar. And it's not her mother doing it, just her father." Riley walked over to her with her bean bag in tow and placed it beside her computer chair.

"Speaking of that crazy fool, I and Huey know why he was messed up. We did some investigative work and stole his file from the shrink he seeing." Sofia looked down at him wide eyed.

"You did what? What did you find?" She asked, placing her chin in the palm of her hand. Riley explained how his mother was abusive and once left him in the dumpster to die, only after that did his aunt get custody of him. He also told her he has admitted to hurting animals. The story left Sofia cringing.

"God…it's worse than I expected." Sofia shook her head; she'd feel sorry for him if he hadn't been such a basket case to everyone around him. He needs to be committed and it was a wonder how this therapist hadn't reported those animal cases to have him sent away. She probably thinks he can be saved. But he was already at the severe stage of sociopath behavior; Sofia knew it wouldn't be long before he'd kill a person. Maybe this was a divine intervention to stop Ayanna's plan, her being severed from communication. Giving Caesar his just deserts was indeed something he needed to have, but at the same time she didn't want anything to happen to them or Ayanna.

She'd have to email Ming and Ayanna about this.

"Thank you for telling me, Riley. Seriously, I appreciate it." Sofia looked down at her closed laptop, thinking.

"Hey, I want to talk." Riley said quietly, making her look over at him again.

"What is it?" She asked, Riley bit his lip and played with his fingers, "Look I know our history isn't exactly…good but, there's a reason I guess I was so…hard on you." He was looking at everything but her as he talked.

"I…I think I…I'm sorry about what I did. You know, on your birthday at the haunted house?"

Sofia raised her eyebrows, only to return to her relaxed expression and waved it off with the hand that wasn't preoccupied with her chin.

"It's alright. I mean it was weird but I wasn't mad or anything."

"Sofia I think I like you." He blurted out loud. The room was quiet as Sofia sat there in plain shock. What? What is going on right now? Did she hear him right? She couldn't have.

"Uhh…Riley, what?"

"Listen like…you're pretty cool in your own way and as we got older I started to really notice you. I like we got art in common, I like the moments where we get along, I like…you."

Sofia was stupefied, but soon regained herself, "Riley, you're involved with my cousin. And listen, our history is nowhere near as horrific as me and Cynthia's." She still would use Cindy's full name whenever she was really serious when talking about her, "This right here Riley…would see to it that what we call a relationship would surely die."

And honestly, this was the very last thing Sofia needed right now.

"…I think she's still been messing with that Bambino nigga anyway." He muttered.

"So you're going to go for her cousin? C'mon Riley."

"How do you feel about me, you don't like me? Like…not even in the slightest?"

"No." she told him. She really didn't. While she was grateful he lightened up, that didn't erase what all he did to her. Sofia forgave him, but after that there was only friendship. It's all she can offer.

"Riley, our own relationship has improved immensely, and I do care about you. But only as a friend." Sofia attempted to hold his hand, but Riley snatched away and left her room without a word. Sighing she just sat back in her computer chair. He'll be okay…soon, he'll look back on today and appreciate that at least she was honest. Despite her honesty though, she is expecting an awkward air between them until he's over it.

"The right thing to do…" she muttered before deciding a nap was in order. As she got older, she found that life was getting more and more complicated. But it doesn't have it to be needlessly complicated, and Sofia saw to it that it wouldn't, though it's easier said than done.

"Oh shit, Jazmine….really?" Cindy sighed as she stroked Jazmine's orange hair as she rested in her lap. She came right over to her house after getting a distressed call from her friend, and she told her what happened.

"Cindy, I the only reason why I don't have as much sympathy towards Daphne is because the way she and her people went about this. I'm so disgusted with Caesar I don't even know what to think about that." Cindy shook her head. And the kicker of all this shit was that is was Franci's fault. She wasn't at school the day of the incident, but of course she knows now what happened to her sister and Stacey. She wound up getting them fucked up.

"That shit was the epitome of foul. Sleeping with the chick that cut your girl's hair…who does that? Now ole girl is expelled." Jazmine frowned harder,

"That too…I'm…scared Cindy. I'm honestly scared of getting older. If this is what high school is like…how monstrous do you think the real world is?"

Cindy sighed, "Jazmine, we're already in the real world. One thing you got to learn right now is…high school won't ever die. The social bullshit will be the same if not worse. When you get a job, either you going to kiss ass or be rejected. It's just how it is, baby."

Jazmine didn't like that, she then begrudgingly remembering Huey once told her that this world was a cruel and lonely place. She just hate Huey was a part of it. Huey would never hold back from telling her things before. So why now? And she thought they were getting somewhere when he finally started talking to her about his parents, his life in Chicago and why he missed it so much.

"You and Huey gonna make it though." Cindy's remark snapped Jazmine out her thoughts.

"You think so?"

"Listen, he book smart, but remember he still human Jazz, he fucked up, he made horrible mistakes and choices. And honestly? I believe him if he says he had no idea Caesar was doing all that wild shit."

Cindy knew Huey never thought much of her, but she was still going to defend him because that's just the kind of guy Huey was. Cindy loved him like a brother, whether he wanted such love or not. She cared about him and Riley. Riley, the thought of it made Cindy grimace internally. She knew she was spending too much time with Gambino lately and she noticed the pull Riley been doing with her, despite their somewhat reconciliation after he saw them kiss. He was getting distant and shit, and not to say she was still battling her little heroin problem. She Googled how to beat the addiction from home and been hiding her violent relapses from him and Sofia. Sofia knows, but she doesn't know she's still suffering from the effects.

'Rehab' would be the first thing to come out the gothic girl's mouth, and Cindy refused to let the city know she was an addict. Cindy had pride, damn all that.

There were nights she had thrown up so many times in the bushes outside. Her weight was plummeting but since she was wearing baggy clothes, no one ever really noticed. She was grateful the lines and bumps were fading from her arms, and her face wasn't severely affected to the point you could look her in the face and tell she was…or rather use to use. Cindy was a thug though, she knew she could pull this shit off and still be there for her friends.

She knew she needed to do better by Riley though; he was quiet, so she knew he was plotting. Riley never liked how he was pushed out the scene just because of his age. Ed and Rummy were getting busier and didn't always hang with him as much as they used to either. She knew she had to fix that shit. A lot of shit needed to be fixed around here. She leaned down and gave Jazmine a quick peck on her temple.

"If you want to take a break, by all means, do. But don't stray too long Jazmine, someone else might try to steal you away, and we both know Huey will act a whole ass if another man even blinks at you like they want you." Jazmine giggled.

"Huey doesn't strike me as the jealous type."

Cindy's jaw dropped, this girl really was oblivious sometimes.

"Are you serious? There were hundreds of times he gave dudes death glares when he would catch them staring at your little round ass." Cindy proceeded to slap it, "It is getting a little stout back there, by the way."

Jazmine blushed, "Really? I…couldn't tell."

"Couldn't tell Huey is jealous or your ass getting fat?"

"Heehehehe! Both! Hahaha!" Jazmine's blush darkened. It was the first time she had a good laugh in a while. Cindy continued to absentmindedly stroke her hair.

"Things will get better, love." She assured Jazmine, as well as herself. Later than night after she left the house, she decided to call Riley.

"Hello?" he flatly answered the phone.

"Hey Riley, look…come meet me at my mom's little shed house, you know, the one in the backyard of the house? I wanna talk to you." There was a long pause before he spoke again.

"Okay, I'll be there."

"Yo, you okay?" Cindy arched an eyebrow at Riley's tone. Something was off about him.

"Yeah. Let me wait until granddad is asleep. I'll sneak out and be there in twenty."

"Okay coo'. Bye."

"Alright." He hung the phone up. Something was definitely bothering him. But that's fine, she was going to fix that too.

Tamara was on the phone with Caesar's psychiatrist. Ms. Flemming had been long replaced by Patricia Woods after his outburst a few months back. The state decided she wasn't doing a good job, well Patricia seemed to be doing even worse. She was also begging the school to revoke the expulsion of Ayanna once she heard what had happened. Teenagers from the school were talking about it in stores, and she even heard about Caesar's involvement. Ayanna's attack was all the rage at Woodcrest at the moment, and she was fighting to see if Caesar could get admitted. He had to be sent to the ward, this was getting worse than New York.

"This situation isn't grounds for immediate admittance."

"Woods! He purposely got involved with someone who assaulted his girlfriend. The poor girl was bullied! I'm also setting a meeting with the school about this! I have been trying to get this boy help but I'm at my wits end. I don't even know where he is right now."

Caesar wasn't home, and she had no idea where he could be. He comes home whenever he wants to now.

"He is showing signs as a functioning sociopath, I'm sure the files Ms. Flemming left would tell you he also has dissociation disorder. He doesn't understand why his actions hurt people. He can no longer be left on the streets!" She shouted. She was hushed when she heard the front door open and immediately hung up. She turned and faced the man of the hour.

"Micheal, we need to talk."

"….Don't feel much like talking," he began heading to his room. She followed him and stood in his bedroom door.

"Have you any remorse for what you've done? Jesus Christ Caesar. Even I have heard the stories of what happened."

"No. Though I am a bit upset I lost a friend over it. Honestly, it wasn't even really worth it. She was kind of a bad lay. Not Ayanna, she's still a good girl virgin, I mean the one who cut her hair. I also am miffed that the main person who set this all in motion, Franci, virtually gets away with all of it. I'm slightly jealous. But I'm sure she does feel bad she caused her sister and friend to lose teeth, on top of being absent when that all happened. I'm sure her reaction didn't match her initial vigor of vengeance."

Tamara just stared at her troubled nephew, "There is just no helping you. I'm going to see about getting you committed." Shaking her head she turned to leave. Just as she reached the top of the stairs, she felt a hand on the back of her neck.

"I will toss you down these stairs if you threaten me with that shit one more goddamn time. I haven't had a good day. People have been looking at me like I'm some type of monster, I told your ass I was actually upset and you still want to give me grief? Bitch I outta—" He went through with it and tossed her down the stairs.

Tamara's body tumbled down the stairs and crashed against the wall. She survived the fall, but her arm got broken, which had her scream in pain.

"Go take care of that." He said callously before going back to his room. Tamara staggered up and called an Uber for the hospital.

until next time!
