Chapter 2x3: Fight For It
"That's a court-martial, it's great to see you, Cap" - greeted Rhodey
"You too, Rhodey" - greeted back Steve as he hugged the man before Natasha got a hug as well
"Well…you guys really look like crap" - teased Rhodey with a smirk - "Must've been a rough couple of years" - he added
"Yeah, well, the hotels weren't exactly five star" - said Sam
"Uh, I think you look great" - greeted Bruce walking in the room "Uh... heh...yeah…I'm back" - he said
"Hi, Bruce" - said Natasha with a smile
"Nat" - said Bruce with an awkward smile before both stayed silent
"This is awkward" - whispered Sam uncomfortable
"To say the least" - said Arash as he took a sip from the bottle in his hand
"Prince Arash?" - asked Steve confused
"The one and only" - greeted Arash with a smirk lifting the bottle
"Is he drunk?" - asked Sam shocked
"Excuse me, what are you doing?" - scolded Natasha getting close to the Prince
"Spaceman took Tony and the boy that I like, so I got myself a lil' something" - said Arash rolling his eyes before taking a sip from the drink and then putting it in front of Natasha - "we're all gonna die, want some?" - He asked
"You are a minor, you shouldn't be drinking" - nagged Natalia taking the bottle from Arash who whined while trying to reach it only to stumble and fall from the chair
"Oh shit" - said Sam getting close to help the Prince
"Who let him have this?" - asked Natasha turning to Rhodey who pointed at the scientist and Bruce pointed back at War Machine
"How do we say no to a Prince?" - Asked Rhodey
"Besides he was a little bummed about the "spider-boy" going to space" - added Bruce
"SPIDERMAN" - yelled Arash with his eyes turning golden making objects around the room shake and everybody flinched - "his name is Spiderman…well is actually Peter Parker…I also call him "Tiger" you know?" - He said turning to Sam who turned away at the drunk teen's alcohol breath and rolled his eyes
"Even if he is a Prince, he is still a minor, really Bruce?" - scolded Natasha to the man kind of ignoring Rhodey involvement
"Let's get him some water and talk about our predicament here, we got more important things to discuss" - said Steve
The 7 Avengers were talking about what to do next about the alien invasion, Thanos and helping Vision who was injured by one of the aliens trying to take the Mind Stone, Arash had his face in his hands while his elbows were in the table holding the weight of his head and a bottle of water was almost all drink in front of him.
"Eliminating the stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can't get it" - explained Vision
"That's too high a price" - said Wanda in clearly distress
"Only you have the power to pay it" - said Vision while holding her hands before she walks away from him - "Thanos threatens half the Universe, one life cannot stand in the way of defeating him" - he added
"But it should" - said Steve while looking down before looking up at Vision - "We don't trade lives, Vision" - he declared
"Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions of people" - said Vision as he waked to stand in front of Steve - "Tell me, why is this any different?" - He asked making Steve take a deep breath to answer
"Because you might have a choice" - said Bruce interrupting before Steve could say something - "Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays: J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron, Tony, me, the Stone; all of them mixed together, all of them learning from one another" - he explained
"You're saying Vision isn't just the stone?" - asked Wanda hopeful
"I'm saying that if we take out the stone, there's still a whole lot of Vision left" - said Bruce signaling at the Avenger - "perhaps the best parts" - he added with a half smirk
"Can we do that?" - asked Natasha
"Not me, not here" - sighed Bruce
"You better find someone and somewhere fast, Ross isn't exactly just gonna let you guys have your old rooms back" - said Rhodey
"I know somewhere" - said Arash still looking down gaining the attention of all the Avengers in the room before he looked up to them - "Wakanda" - he declared
"Should we bow?" - asked Bruce to Arash as he helped the still a little drunk teen to not fall on his face or something while stumbling
"Mmm…" - Arash studied a little to say "No" but he wanted to have some fun out of this, because like he said, he thought that everybody is going to die anyway - "I mean, I told you not to bow to me because I'm just a Prince, but T'Challa is a King" - he said
"Seems like I'm always thanking you for something" - greeted Steve shaking hands with T'Challa as Bruce started to bow awkwardly
"What are you doing?" - Said Arash faking a frown as he looked at Bruce
"We don't do that here" - dissuaded T'Challa to Bruce making him turn to look at the teen who just smirked at him and Natasha seeing the scene rolled her eyes at both of them - "So how big of an assault can we expect?" - He asked
"Uh, sir, I think you can expect quite a big assault" - said Bruce as all walked to the administrative building
"How we looking?" - asked Natasha
"You will have my King's Guard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje and..." - started to explain T'Challa
"A semi-stable, 100-year-old man" - said Bucky as he walked towards Steve with a smirk before both friends share a hug
"How you been, Buck?" - asked Steve
"Uh, not bad, for the end of the world" - joked Bucky awkwardly
"Are they a thing? Because I totally ship it" - said Arash eyeing curiously to both soldiers while Bruce gave him a confused look
"Are you ok my friend?" - asked T'Challa as he saw Arash holding Bruce's arm trying to not stumble and fall
"I took a little something I shouldn't because I felt bad…but I gotta get better for the fight" - said Arash with a sad look on his face - "how you been T?" - He asked before stopping all the sudden making Bruce also stop - "wait…do I need to call you King or can I still call you T or maybe King T?" - He joked with a lazy smirk
"You really are that mess up" - said T'Challa shaking his head with a smirk - "by the way your uncle has been doing a good job on country meetings and he told me you were studying in a high school, right?" - He asked curiously
"Yeah…a real high school, it's been fun…I dated this guy who takes photographs and it's pretty cute" - said Arash with a smirk that soon faded in a frown - "but then Peter went to space with Tony Stark…he's so dumb" - he added
"Peter takes photographs?" - asked Bruce confused
"No, that's Eddie" - said Arash
"But you told me you liked Peter" - frowned Bruce
"I do, but he doesn't like me back, he liked this Liz girl and now he likes MJ, so I'm with Eddie in that way I'm not sad and alone gnawing over Peter" - explained Arash
"Hey fancy boy" - greeted Shuri
"SHURI!" - greeted Arash overly excited as he move from Bruce to hug the Princess
"Oh god, what's that smell?" - asked Shuri with a disgust face
"He took a little something" - explained Bruce
"Peter went to space" - said Arash pouting
"That's the boy you have text me about?" - asked Shuri while the Prince nodded
"Can you give me one of those special little pads you create for like hangovers and stuff like that?" - Asked Arash trying to whisper but failed on it making Natasha roll her eyes
"Yeah, let's give you one of those to put on and maybe also a mint for that breath while I work on whatever you guys need" - said Shuri taking Arash by the arm while she shakes her head at his friend
In the lab, Arash was sitting on a chair with his head pulled back looking up at the ceiling as he was feeling better with the special pad attached on his arm while the rest of the superheroes were close to Vision as Shuri was working on him except for...
"You shouldn't have do that" - said Natasha standing close to the Prince with her arms crossed while she looked at him with an arched eyebrow
"I'm better now, let's move on" - said Arash annoyed
"All that for a boy?" - asked Natasha still with a severe look and pose at him
"Hey!" - Called out Arash straight up his head to look at her - "I know it was stupid, but…I haven't said a thing to him about how I feel and I just…I just hope he comes back ok" - he sighed looking down - "haven't you ever liked someone were you feel that all will broke down once you try to even officiate it?" - He asked
"Yeah" - said Natasha turning to look at Bruce for a moment as he was in awe looking at Shuri work - "but we need you in top shape right now, are you in it?" - She asked
"Well…I'm better now" - said Arash
"Good, because even if the world is ending, at least you wanna put out a fight for it" - said Natasha offering a hand to help him
The Prince smiled and took the spy hand to stand up just when an alarm starting to sound and Okoye was projecting something on her kimoyo beads bracelet.
"Something's entered the atmosphere" - declared Okoye
Natasha and Arash approached the group just to see when ships started to land crashing against the shield and others on the forest destroying acres, the superheroes look at each other concerned of what they'll be facing.
"It's too late" - said Vision as he sit up on the exam table struggling a little - "We need to destroy the stone now" - he said
"Vision, get your ass back on the table" - said Natasha moving towards the android
"We will hold them off" - declared T'Challa while heading to the door
"Wanda, as soon as the stone's out of his head...you blow it to hell" - said Steve
"I will" - said Wanda
"Evacuate the city, engage all defense procedures" - started to order T'Challa before stopping to turn and pointing at Cap - "and get this man a shield" - he added
"Are we gonna see big green?" - asked Arash to Bruce as he remembered what they talking on their way to the Compound back in USA
"I don't think so, but we bring the Hulkbuster suit from Tony, I think I can use it and it's just as good as The Hulk" - said Bruce
"You have used it before?" - asked Arash arching an eyebrow
"No, but if Rhodey has a suit it can't be that hard" - joked Bruce
"Didn't thought you have those kinds of comebacks in you Dr. Banner" - teased Arash and both smirked at each other as they walked out
A/N: Who doesn't love drunk Arash? I kinda enjoy writing him like that is pretty funny and with the intensity in the next chapters we all need a little comic relief, also I like the interactions with Nat and Bruce and writing Arash build up connection with others besides Peter.
