"You are not Hibari."

Naruto kept her voice as calm and steady while Tsuna and Gokudera gawked at her. She should roll her eyes at him but her eyes were currently fixated on the grey eyes of Hibari, who held out his hand to her. Hibari Kyoya might behave differently around her. That was something she would never deny, but there was one thing everyone knew about her alley and that was the fact he never asked for help. It was what made him Hibari. It was what frustrated her at times.

The fact he would ask her for help was not Hibari and those grey eyes leaking with amusement and surprise told her that he did not know this.

"You are closer to him than I thought," the not-Hibari commented as he pushed himself up. His grey eyes leaked with amusement and curiosity as if he was taken back by the fact she could notice the differences between them. That only made her bristle as Gokudera and Reborn fixated their eyes on the two of them, looking deeply curious to know how she could figure it out.

I have been working with him for the past year, of course I'm close to him. The words were on the tip of her tongue but Naruto swallowed it down. She was close to Hibari. From the moment she started patrolling this town and getting rid of anyone that annoyed her, Hibari had been there. He might have only seen her real appearance in the last few months but he had been around her for a long time.

When you have been around a person for such a long time, you really get to know a person's habits.

"What is happening?" Tsuna asked. His eyes leaked with fear as it locked onto her. Naruto kept her mouth shut, uncertain of how to explain what the hell happened to Hibari. She did not know exactly what happened. All she did know was that even though the boy standing in front of her looked like Hibari and had his voice but he was not him.

"I only know that this guy isn't Hibari," Naruto answered, clenching her hands into a fist. Tsuna froze at those words but she could see the relief in his eyes. I know how I was able to differentiate it but how could he? She would ask him if it wasn't for the fact she could see the fake Hibari picked up the trident. She jumped back when the not-Hibari swung the trident at her.

"Is he being controlled?" Gokudera demanded as the fake Hibari dashed right at her with the trident. Controlled? Hibari would never let anyone control him. She kicked the trident away from the fake Hibari and smashed her fist against his cheeks. He flew across the room, groaning and the blonde kept her eyes focused on the boy right in front of her.

"You really don't know shit about Hibari, do you? No one can control him," Naruto replied. She rubbed the back of her neck and darted her eyes to Reborn. The black-haired toddler looked amused as if he knew that. He probably did know it. Hibari had never exactly hidden his interest on the toddler right in front of him.

"He is being possessed," Reborn explained. His black eyes stared at the boy who was struggling to stand up from her punch. Naruto grimaced at those words. Possession? That was the first time she heard someone that could possess a body but how was it possible? She pushed her lips back and forth as her mind tried to come up of a way for someone to possess her alley.

Nothing really came to her mind but she had an idea of who might be possessing her allies.

"H-He is back, isn't he?" Tsuna asked. His brown eyes darted to Mukuro's body lying to the ground before looking at the fake-Hibari. How can he do it? When did he do it? She knitted her eyebrows together. The last thing she could recall was Mukuro shooting a bullet to the side of his head. Could it have been then? It would fit in with what she knew about him.

It would definitely fit in with the words that came out of his mouth.

"Bastard took possession of his body," Naruto whispered. She could feel a rage washing over her, ready for her to beat the living shit out of Mukuro for taking control of Hibari's body. She could feel her nails becoming like claws but Naruto squashed down the red visible chakra leaking out of her. I can't kill Hibari's body. That was the one thought running through her mind.

The only thought that allowed her to reign in the other chakra inside of her.

"But he is dead!" Tsuna screeched. His girlish screams grated her ears and if she was not so focused on the fact that Mukuro had possessed Hibari's body, she would have smacked him. Instead Naruto clenched her hands into a fist and stared down at the trident in her hand. With a grimace, she snapped the trident in half.

Maybe that would get Mukuro out of Hibari's body.

"I still have something to do," Mukuro answered with a smirk on Hibari's face. This whole thing is damn confusing! Do I call him fake-Hibari, Mukuro or what? The thought irritated her and without a second thought, the blonde dashed straight at Mukuro. She curled her hand into a fist, brought her arm behind her head before smashing her fist against his face.

Mukuro coughed out blood and forced himself to stand up properly. This only made the blond-haired girl smirked. She prayed that it hurt like hell for him because that was for using those illusions on her. The next attack was going to be for possessing Hibari's body like the damn coward that he was.

"I really thought you would hesitate," Mukuro admitted with a laugh as his single red eye fixated on her. "Didn't you say he was your ally? How can you damage his body like this?"

Naruto stared at Hibari's body with blank eyes. A few punches from her was probably going to make him stay in the hospital for a while but her ally wouldn't mind. She knew he would rather go through a shitload of pain then to have that Pineapple Bastard control his body. It was that knowledge that was pushing her to fight him in half of her original strength.

"He would rather I beat the living shit out of him then let you possess his body," Naruto declared as she flew at him. She swung her fist, only for her fist to smash against the wall. He used a damn illusion. She grinded her teeth together as her eyes darted everywhere to find where the hell was Mukuro. Blue eyes flickered to Tsuna and the boy paled.

"Uzumaki your left!" Tsuna stuttered. Naruto blinked and swirled her head to the left, only to jump back as Mukuro's trident gazed against her cheeks. Didn't she break the trident? How the hell was it back? She clenched her jaws together and kicked him in the head. He crashed down to the ground.

I hope that will get that Pineapple Bastard out of Hibari's body. The thought run through her mind as she waited for Mukuro to stand up again. It would be a miracle if Hibari's body could still withstand the impact of her punches and kicks. Even though it was half of her original strength, Naruto knew from her spars in the Academy that it was still painful.

Kiba had been forced to stay in the hospital for a whole six weeks.

"You have so much strength for someone so petite," Mukuro commented, pushing himself up. Blood leaked out of Hibari's face, dribbling down his cheeks and Naruto gawked at him. Could Hibari's body can withstand this much injuries? Or was Mukuro pushing the body past its limits? The thought irritated her and she glared at the body.

Mukuro only laughed and blue eyes widened when the body launched itself at Gokudera. Shit. She channeled her chakra into her legs and charged right at Gokudera. She stood right in front of Gokudera, pulled out her kunai from her pocket and slammed her kunai against the trident. A single grey eye gleamed with amusement and this only served to irritate her.

"I'm your opponent," She snarled at him as Mukuro tried to push the trident closer to her. She could feel the strength leaking out of his arms, trying to push her away but Naruto was not going to give him a chance. She might not like Gokudera or Tsuna but Naruto would rather not see them get hurt or have them in her way.

A huge laugh escaped from Hibari's lips and Naruto jerked her head. It sounds so weird for a laugh like that to come out of Hibari's mouth. It actually really creeped her out and brought a shiver down her spine. Her ally never laughed but when he did laugh, it would be a quiet laugh that could make her feel a good shiver. Not the bad shiver that she currently had.

"Are you really my opponent?" Mukuro laughed. "Just like how I possessed this body, I can possess your body."

She opened her mouth to retort, only to freeze as she felt the world around her turned blank.

The last thing I expected when I entered her mind was to know that she made her mind like a sewer system.

Mukuro curled his lips in distaste as cold, sewer water soaked into his pants. The moment he tried to control her body was when he felt a force that ripped him away from his chance of controlling this powerful body. It had never happened to him before, but he could guess what happened when he found himself in the sewers. It feels like there is another presence in her mind. A presence that felt so sinister that he even shuddered in fear.

But despite the fear inside of him, he was curious to know what that sinister presence was. Perhaps it was this presence that stopped him from taking control over of this young teen. If he could have control over her body then it would be easy for him to control the Little Fox as the Skylark liked to describe her.

Bobbing his head, Mukuro stopped walking when he caught sight of the large steel bars. Interesting. If he did not know any better, he would say that it looked almost like a prison. The ground around him seemed to rumble, almost as if it was experiencing an Earthquake. Not that it would be possible in a human's mind.

A large growl echoed throughout the corridor and Mukuro wondered if he was getting close to the eyes that would allow him to take control of her again. No, I doubt that a growl means I'm close to her eyes. He should walk away and try to find another passage but he was curious to know about the source of that growl. It was this knowledge that made him continue walking closer to the steel bars that seemed to be never-ending.

His eyes widened at the sight of a giant fox lurking behind those bar steels. Nine tails. That was the number of tails he could make out from behind those steel bars. It was just like the one in the legends in his previous life. Not once in any of his previous lives had Mukuro had been able to catch sight of the legendary beast.

If the legends were true then this beast right in front of him was powerful. It explains her strength. His eyes flickered to the bars right in front of him, lingering on the piece of paper that seemed stuck on the bars. Seal. That was the only word Mukuro could make out from the small slip of paper that was stuck on the bars.

"So you are the disgusting human who thought you can take over this brat's mind?" A voice growled. Mukuro could feel his whole body trembling at the power radiating from the beast in front of him. Its eyes glowed with rage and it bared its teeth at him. He knew if he took one step closer to the beast then it would try to harm him.

He would rather not know what would happen to his whole body if the beast actually tried to kill him.

"Brat?" Mukuro asked, raising a single eyebrow at the beast. He could guess this was the nickname given to the petite blonde and judging from the irritated and cruel tone, he guessed the beast was not in good terms with the girl. It was rather interesting when he thought about it. How could such a petite girl contain such a huge beast? It was a curiosity.

If he could control this large beast then he wouldn't need the other toys.

"My host," The beast grumbled with some form of amusement. "The Uzumaki brat."

That confirmed his suspicion but it made him wonder how long had this girl contained such a powerful beast? Why hadn't she used it against her battle with him? But then again her brute strength is enough to make anyone crumble. He knew if it were not for that Skylark's body, he would have been suffering from internal bleeding from her punches and kicks.

"I would have never guessed someone like her would contain a powerful beast like you," Mukuro commented. The beast looked faintly amused by his answer, almost proud by his words but then it quickly turned to irritation. Ah. The monster was probably not one bit pleased by the reminder that he was stuck here. "I wonder if I gain control over you, if I will have complete control over her."

"Do you believe because of your single eye that you can control the great Kyuubi?" The beast growled as its tail smashed against the bar. Mukuro did not flinch as a huge gust of wind smacked his cheeks. Instead he only narrowed his eyes at the beast. "You might have a powerful eye but your eye will never ever compare to the eyes of that cursed clan!"

Mukuro did not allow his smile to drop as his eyes fixated on the furious eyes of the beast. Cursed clan? Eyes? Now that seemed to be even more interesting to him. No one could ever defeat him with this eye but this beast claimed that his Six Paths of Reincarnation could never compare to another set of eyes.

"Oh? And what is this cursed clan?" He asked. He had read so many books during his time and not once had he ever heard of a clan that was cursed. If he could possess a body of a member of this cursed clan then could he control this beast? It would be a wonderful way for him to destroy the entire Mafia and conquer the world. He just needed to have three toys.

The girl was one toy, the Juudaime of the Vongola Familigia was the second but who would he need for the third toy?

"Even though you have no chakra, I can sense that burning hatred inside of you," the beast commented, ignoring his question. Mukuro laughed and took a step backwards as the beast barred his teeth at him. His eyes gleamed with fury and looked ready to just slash him. He probably would have slashed him if it were not for the bars separating them. "You have more hatred than even Madara Uchiha."

"Was he the one that tried to control you?" Mukuro asked. The floor rumbled as the beast let out an even louder growl. Ah, so it was that man that tried to control this beast. If he wanted to control this beast then he would have to find a member of the Uchiha Clan. That would make his goal easier to accomplish.

The only question left was what were those cursed eyes? What could be so powerful about them that it could even tame this beast? Well it did not matter. Perhaps there would be a better way for him to try and get control of this girl. Without his trident, he could not slash the beast and have it under his contract. Oh no. He would need to think of something else.

"If I were to defeat you, would it mean I can have complete control over this body?" He asked. The beast smirked and its eyes twinkled with cruel amusement. Perhaps any other person would shiver and whimper but it only made Mukuro even more curious. What was going through this beast's mind? It was rather hard for him to figure out.

The host was so much easier for him to figure out.

"If you wish to control her then I suggest you continue walking through the sewer and open the door," the fox chuckled and its eyes gleamed with even more cruelty. "But I hope you still have the desire to control her once you open the door. The brat has a childhood that would make you even more twisted."

Mukuro laughed. Twisted? Oh he doubt that the girl had went through a childhood even worse than he did in this lifetime. If the girl had went through the hell Ken, Chikusa and him went through then it would be a wonder that the girl had never let the beast out. With that reassuring thought in his mind, he began walking through the corridor.

Nothing but water covered the floor as he walked through the sewer. I need to break out of this. Those were the only words echoing throughout the sewers, an indication that the girl was trying to break through his control. If the beast did not exist then it would have been completely possible for him to control the girl.

Alas, he would never know.

Letting out a sigh, Mukuro stopped walking when he saw the door right in front of him. He placed his hand on the knob and slowly opened the door. His eyes gleamed with curiosity at the image of the brain. This must be her stored memories and her control system. He should just hijack the system but he was intrigued of what the beast had to say.

What kind of twisted childhood did the girl have?

It was this curiosity that made him walk right into the painful memories inside of the girl.

This is a very small room.

Mukuro inspected the room that he stood. It was probably a size smaller than the room that he put the Skylark and the Little Fox and probably even filthier too. Dirt covered the walls and if he just turned his head to the side, he would see a small, dirty chamber pot. Even though his nose could not smell anything from the memory, he could see the shit and piss from where he stood.

There was a tiny bed in the other corner of the room and in that bed, Mukuro could see a three-year-old girl curling up to a small, thin blanket. Judging from the long, dirty golden hair and blue eyes, he would have to presume that this was the Little Fox. Even with the blanket covering her, he could see that the child was malnourished.

From the slight glimpse of her hands, Mukuro could only wonder if the girl had been fed properly. Her skin seemed to cling to her bones, making her look so different from the blond-haired teen that could punch the living daylights out of someone. The girl froze as the door behind him opened. Blue eyes shone with absolute terror of what was about to happen.

He could only guess what was about to happen.

An elderly, thin woman came through the door and Mukuro was a little bit taken aback by the pure, cold hatred leaking out of the woman's eyes. Even during his time with his Familigia, his parents had only looked at him with eagerness for the results of their experimentation. But not once in his life had he seen so much hatred directed at a small child.

Eagerness and cruelty yes but never such an intense hatred.

"You are a nasty, little monster do you know that?" The woman snarled, throwing the plate of food in the direction of the girl. Mukuro watched with blank eyes as the plate broke into a million pieces. The young girl does not cry, does not even flinch but looked blankly at the dirtied food before looking back at the woman.

Nasty, little monster. That was a new term for him to hear about the girl. It was a wonder if you asked him. How did the little blond-haired girl went from trembling in fear to becoming a force to be reckon with? How did she grow into this strength? And most of all what did she do for the Skylark to give her a nickname of Little Fox? It was a curiosity.

"C-Can't Monsters be nice?" Naruto asked. He could hear the hoarseness in her voice as if she did not have many opportunities to talk and he guessed that the girl really did not have many opportunities to talk. Blue eyes gleamed with hope and a courage that made Mukuro pause. The girl took in another deep breath. "I-I haven't hurt anyone."

The words hung in the air and Mukuro could practically feel the temperature in the room dropping at those words. His heterochromia eyes looked to the elderly woman. The woman's nostrils flared up and pure rage colored those black eyes. The lines on her face looked even more harsher and not for the first time in his life, Mukuro could see how cruel humans could be.

"You killed my son! And my grandson!" The woman screeched. Mukuro watched as the fear flooded into the young girl's eyes and how she curled up into a small ball. He knew what was going to happen next. It was obvious from the way that the woman pulled out a whip from the long sleeves of her kimono dress.

The woman pulled out the girl's blanket and began slashing her with the whip. A clear smack echoed throughout the room and Mukuro watched with apathy as Naruto screamed. Her screams were loud, probably loud enough to wash over the sounds of happy children who laughed outside of the room.

"Why did the Hokage let a monster like you live? He should have murdered you in the crib!" The woman screamed this over and over again as she whipped the girl's back. Tears leaked out of those blue eyes and the screams got even louder. Blood oozed out of the girl's marks and her whole back was decorated with slash marks that were slowly fading away.

Mukuro did not know how long he watched the girl being whipped but he guessed it must have been an hour. He just stood in the side and kept his temper in check as the woman finally stopped her beating on the young girl. The girl just laid on the bed, blue eyes faded to the world and only a single tear coming out of her eyes as the woman closed the door on her.

"I am here." That was the only three words coming out of the girl's mouth. It was barely a whisper but Mukuro could see the desire for the girl to survive. He watched as the girl wrapped the blanket around herself and turned to look at the window. Hope shone through her blue eyes and Mukuro turned to see what she was looking at.

There was a teenager standing on the tree and the one thing that was unique about him was the dog mask on his face. Mukuro could not see his eyes but he wondered why the girl looked so hopeful. Was it the first time she saw the teen? Oh yes, that would make sense. The girl clung to the blanket even more.

"Help me."

Those were the girl's last words before she passed out and he wondered what cruelties that the girl faced in her childhood
