-Bella-
"How can I prove it to you?" He begged.
"I-" I broke down in sobs. I couldn't help it, I wasn't sure what to believe anymore. Then I heard a crack come from the trees. I looked up to see Jane and Alec from the Voltori.
"What do you want." Edward hissed at them.
"We came for the girl!" Jane said while looking at me.
"Over my dead body." Edward snarled. I started fighting Jane while Edward fought Alec. I ripped Jane apart and turned to see Edward had done the same to Alec. I turned around to see Jane, about to rip me into pieces.
Edward lunged in front of me and I watched in horror as his head flew off his body.
"No!" I yelled in agony. Even if I hated him, I still loved him. Just not in the same way.
I jumped at Jane and ripped her limb from limb. I took out a lighter I keep in my pocket for this reason and set both Jane and Alec on fire. I took Edward's head, placing it back on his body, and stepped away as I waited for him to heal himself.
As he stood up, I nodded and turned around, walking in the direction of my house. He couldn't see that I still loved him. I made sure my mental shields were in place, and continued walking. Edward didn't follow. He must have just stood there, because there were no footsteps in any direction.
"Bella-" He started.
"Not now." I didn't even turn around. My kids knew I hated him, but I had hoped he would have changed in the years we were apart. At least Rosalie was better now, and Alice didn't need to change. Only he needed to. The rest of his family was okay. Although, I wasn't sure about that new girl, Aniah. She was going to be a wild card for now. She seemed nice enough, and also seemed to be chasing after Edward, who didn't even care. He- he was going to be hard to forgive. Perhaps in another century or so.
As I walked into the house, my babies came over and hugged me. I had lifted my shields to them only, something I had learned to do close to 60 years ago. They had seen what had happened, and understood the pain I had felt. They knew I still loved him, even after he had left me in the forest that night. And I knew that he wasn't sellin me lies for his love for me, I just didn't want to admit it to him. Admit that there was still a connection between us. He must have felt it though. I certainly did.

I didn't want to tell my mom, she was already too stressed out. But I had to.
"Mom, can I talk to you outside?"
"Sure, Ness. C'mon."
"Jake, you want to come too?"
He smiled and nodded. "Of course." He was already in on it. After all, it concerned him.
