The year was 2003. Last month Jessie had turned twenty-three. She now lived in Chicago, Illinois. She got her real estate license two years ago. She was one of the top agents at the company she worked for. Between her regular salary and commissions she made a little over nine-thousand dollars a week. She'd had a couple boyfriends over the years but she was single now. She was at Starbucks on her lunch break drinking a latte and reading a magazine.

"Jessie Bell." A man's voice said. She looked up.

"Jay Sonnenfield."

"Hi."

"Hi.."

"Can I sit down?"

"Yeah."

"I haven't seen you since you dumped me."

"It's been a long time."

"I deserved it." "So, are you and John what's his name married?"

"No." "We haven't even spoken in four years."

"Are you seeing anybody?"

"No."

"Would you like to go out to dinner tonight?"

"That depends, how many women are you seeing?" She said only have joking.

"None." "I don't cheat on my girlfriends anymore."

"Eight o'clock tonight work for you."

"Yeah."

They decided on a restaurant to go to. "I'll meet you there." "I have to get back to work."

"See you tonight."

"Ok."

At the end of her work day Jessie went home. She lived in a high rise. Her rent was three-thousand dollars a month. She lived on the twenty-sixth floor. The place was huge. The floors were all hardwood, stainless steel appliances were in the kitchen with an island in the middle, there was a balcony that looked out to a beautiful view of the city. It had two bathrooms and an office.

Later that night Jay got to the restaurant about ten seconds after Jessie.

"You look beautiful." He said.

"Thank you."

They were eating and talking.

"How long have you lived in Chicago?" He asked.

"I moved here three years ago." "What about you?"

"I moved here the summer I graduated high school." "What do you do?"

"I'm a real estate agent." "What do you do?"

"I design websites." "Have you ever been married?"

"No."

"Me neither." "Would you ever consider giving me another chance?"

"I don't know Jay." "You really hurt me last time."

"I know I did and I'm sorry." "I'm not that dumb kid anymore." "I've changed Jessie."

"Alright, we can try but I even suspect you're seeing someone else, it's over."

"You won't ever have to worry about that."

Jay walked Jessie to her car.

"Do you still have your Mustang?" She asked.

"No." "I drive a Mercedes." "Can I have a kiss?"

"Yeah." They kissed. "You always were a good kisser." "Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

John was a professional wrestler. He had a develop mental deal with Ohio Valley Wrestling. He hoped to get called up to the WWE one day. He'd just gotten back to the hotel. His cell phone rang.

"Hello?" He said. "Hi Liz." "I miss you to baby."
