Julie was complaining about Eve wanting Kelly to "Train" her. *Grumble* "I don't understand this! You can't train a Hexenbiest! They're monsters! And how are YOU supposed to know how to train one of those things? You're a Grimm! What? Are you supposed to teach it how to hack people's heads off or something?"

"Are you a Grimm?" He picks up a piece of carrot shred out of his salad, smirks with a goofy look, and flicks it into her hair.

She scowls at him "Hey! What was that all about? Don't mess with the hair!"

He smirks "Nope, nobody here but us Kersite. *snicker* If there was a Hexenbiest around here salad wouldn't get in her hair." Then flicks a piece of cucumber down her blouse. He winks at her and says playfully "Yep, just a regular Kersite. That wouldn't have gone down a Hexenbiest's shirt."

She now has a surprised look - nobody ever called her a Kersite before. Kelly reaches across and takes her hand: "We grew up in a world where we were taught to be Kersite. We beat down and hid everything else like it doesn't exist. I guess that's fine for normal people - but we aren't that. We need to be fully who we really are. Fully invested in our abilities - we need to develop our natural instincts to navigate the missions. Our missions demand this. But it also makes us a lot better because we can become the fullness of what we are".

She scowls "Easy for you to say - they won't burn you at the stake."

He smirks "Well, that cucumber went right down your blouse. That's pretty low risk."

She scowls again as he picks up another carrot bit "Hey! Don't you dare!"

He smirks "A Hexenbiest could stop me." *flick* and it went right into her hair.

"HEY! I mean it!"

And he smiled a big goofy smile and flicked another carrot bit into her hair. He had spent endless hours aggravating all his sisters like this. He was perhaps the world's foremost expert at aggravating Hexenbiests.

He just kept playfully aggravating her so she decided to see if she could deflect them. And she did! Carrot bits blasted all over the kitchen, but they didn't go in her hair!

The next day he hid her car keys. Same thing. *smirk* "Yeah, Kersite are always loosing keys and stuff. A Hexenbiest could find her car keys... A kersite would probably be stuck here at the house for a while. It is a nice day for a walk anyway."

After a week of this she was getting curious, so she started testing out her powers around the house. What could she do with a 3rd or 4th hand? Could she use her powers to do chores for her? It was like opening up a whole new world but there were also a lot of weird mishaps because Hexenbiests don't exactly come with instruction manuals. Like for example setting the salt shaker on fire by mistake while trying to reheat a cup of coffee.

So they made games for practicing several hours every single day. First simply simple stuff like deflecting cucumber bits so they wouldn't end up in her blouse or hair and reheating coffee. She figured out how to find car keys and remote controls, collect cups out of the living room, fold laundry, and get fresh toilet paper rolls out of the cabinets. Then redirecting, and finally controlling. He could flick an M&M or piece of popcorn at her and she could send it right back into his mouth. He could flick a carrot bit and it would loop right back around into his salad. She was extra proud when she figured out how to get the dishes to wash themselves.

Then sensing. She had to learn to be aware of everything around her - to sense it all continuously in real time. They spent a lot of hours blindfolded and moving around in darkness. Sensing her way around in bars, stores, and groups. At first it was a bewildering flood because she had always just ignored it and turned it off. Now she learned to manage it and use her powers.

As she got more confident that she was in control of her powers she was able to relax. Using her powers started becoming very instinctive. A weeknight game of theirs became "Batting practice." He would take her to a batting cage to have a go with the balls. Could she make them all hit her bat? Could she stand there in front of it and make the balls all miss her? Could she stand wherever she wanted and make the balls hit her bat and fly back into the hopper in the machine? Could she do it with her eyes closed? Could she do it after a few too many drinks? Could she do it when he was at bat?

How about playing bar games - darts, pool, quarters, foosball, etc? Could she control the games? Play "I'm just a girl" and take men's money. Can she control them when she is looking away or appearing not to be paying attention? She loved bar games - and the men in the bars just literally could not resist giving their money to a smoking hot woman. Could she lead them along and drain them - lose a few times and win one by "dumb luck?" Could she lose the double or nothing a few times and then manipulate the other man's play so he would lose on a clumsy mistake? This way he wouldn't suspect she was a ringer...

Sparring. Kelly had to drill it into her - she was petite and physically fragile against violence and brutality. She isn't a Lowen or a Gelumcaedus. Don't allow them to smash you or dig their claws into you. Never let them force you to fight their strength, don't ever trade punches or absorb their blows. Never take the beating. She has a lot of telepathic and manipulative power. Make them fight her strength. Draw them into her fight. Make people miss with their blows and throws. Deflect them, make them clumsy, and wear them out fighting the furniture and walls, themselves, and eachother.

Then he worked with her manipulating people with her touch. Getting free drinks or meals out of bar managers became a game. So was making the guy ot the seat next to her start a fight at a dive bar and then getting the cop who arrived write up whatever she wanted and then watch him club some guy who spilled a drink on her dress. Could she manipulate Wesen? Make them wogue and even attack eachother?

She also got a lot better at thinking out ahead of situations. Play through the "chess games" of life to get what she needed to get without giving her intentions away.

The more she practiced the more instinctive and fun it became and the more she wanted to learn about her powers and try more of them out. She was becoming more comfortable with herself and the self-loathing was dissipating. As she hated herself less and was becoming more confident she also started becoming a lot better around others.

In the mean time they were still hosting Iron Hans projects to train up Military Wesen, so Julie started working with Rosalee in her spice shop.
