Chapter Twenty
Taryn looked up at the ceiling of Cronos' room, barely able to register the moment that the Jaffa put a lid on the jar that Athena was now in.
His mind was silent once again. to talk to him or even just occupy his thoughts. There was nothing and he hated it.
"How do you feel?" Cronus asked.
Tilting his head to the side, Taryn looked up at Cronos with blank eyes. He was too tired from the extraction to fight anything at this exact moment. All he wanted was sleep and Athena back in his mind
"You don't like the feeling of being alone." Cronus said.
He wasn't sure how to respond. Cronos was correct in saying that he hated being alone. Taryn had only been alone in his mind when Terri had first gotten Aphrodite, but not since Athena had blended with him. He missed those thoughts in his mind and being on a different planet meant he could only sense Terri, not talk to her.
"I could put a new symbiont within you." Cronus said.
Growling, Taryn moved to get up only to have the first prime put a hand on his shoulder and force him back down. There wasn't much of a fight for him to put up either. He felt like shit.
"It's time to meet your new master." Cronus said.
Seeing another Jaffa stepping up beside him, Taryn growled again when a symbiont slowly stuck its head out of her pouch. "Go to hell..." he hissed, attempting to pull himself free of the first primes hold as Cronos brought a hand to his face.
"You will be more compliant soon." Cronus said.
"No, what I'll do is stab you as soon as I can." Taryn hissed back at the man, grunting when the first prime turned his head to the side and held it down.
"Time for you to comply." Cronus said.
Feeling a sharp pain in the back of his neck, Taryn screwed his eyes shut and screamed while the symbiont burrowed deep into his skin.
"There we go, let your new master soothe your troubles." Cronus said.
Feeling the first primes hand leave his face, Taryn looked over to the side as he struggled with the symbiont. He tried to repeat the last time a gou'ld had attempted to take him over, but he was too tired. All he had gotten was a little shriek of pain in his mind before the blending continued.
Standing in the gate room the next day, Jack smiled when John walked in with Terri by his side. "Everything better?"
"I'm not sure yet, to be honest." Terri said softly.
"It will be." John promised as he smiled over at Terri softly.
" Glad to hear it. I wouldn't want to break your nose... again." Jack smirked, causing Sam to look at him in shock.
"Again?" She asked.
"He dumped Taryn. I had to punch him." Jack defended himself. "You two ready to go?"
"As ready as I will ever be." Terri said as she adjusted her gear.
"The Tok'ra said that there's a planet that Cronos is known to use to stash symbionts." Explained Sam. "Sel'mac says that we may be able to find clues there about where Taryn and Athena are."
"They think Cronus will imprison Athena again?" Terri asked.
"It makes the most sense." Jack admitted. "I'm doubtful he's going to start liking her all of a sudden."
"And if we don't find her?" Terri asked.
"If we can't find Athena we can at least find someone who knows where Cronos is." He explained. "Chances are that wherever he is, that's where Taryn is."
"How do you know that?" Terri asked.
Jack was about to respond when Terri doubled over herself.
"Terri!?" John placed a hand on his fiancées back and winced when she screamed. "Terri what's going on?"
"No... No god please no..." Terri whispered.
"What's going on?" Jack asked softly. "Terri, talk to us."
"It's Taryn..." Terri whispered. "She's been taken over by a Goul'd... and this one is not Tok'Ra."
Jack felt his heart drop at the sound of that. "How can you know that?" He asked weakly.
"He must be in male form... I can sense him." Terri whispered.
"Damn it... We need to go." He whispered, pulling his weapon to his front and looking over at the stargate. "The quicker we go the quicker we find her."
"I wish I could tell where he was..." Terri whispered.
"We'll find him." Jack assured her. "We have to..."
Kneeling down beside Terri, John put a hand on her back and leaned in close to kiss the side of her head. "You good to go on this mission?" He asked softly.
"I need to go." Terri said softly.
"I don't want you pushing yourself." He whispered softly.
"I'll be fine, I promise." Terri said as she looked back at her Jaffa. "I'll be safe."
Smiling, John stole a quick kiss and held out a hand towards Terri. "In that case, let's go kick some ass and find Taryn."
"Yes, Sir." Terri smiled.
"That sounds really weird coming from you." John smiled.
"The promotion suits you." Terri smiled. "Captain Sheppard."
"Maybe, but when we rescue Taryn let's avoid telling him." He smiled. "He's not going to like that I got the promotion first."
"Does everything have to be a competition with you two?" Terri asked.
"Our whole career is a competition between us." He smiled. "It's part of the fun."
"Well then, I am glad you are winning." Terri smiled.
"I have the best two cheerleaders in the universe." John smirked. "I couldn't lose even if I wanted to."
"I'm not sure how Mike will react to being called a cheerleader." Terri giggled.
"I don't see the problem with it." John shrugged.
"He always gets upset when you refer to him as anything feminine." Terri smiled.
"That's because people always call him the 'girl' between us. It's annoying."
"Well he is kind of feminine sometimes." Terri smiled.
"But he's adorable and I love him and he's still not a girl." John said softly.
"You wouldn't love him as much if he was." Terri smiled.
"What do you mean by that?" John asked softly.
"You like your guys at least somewhat manly." Terri smiled.
"I mean, I can't deny that." He chuckled fondly.
Terri laughed at that as she wrapped her arms around his waist "I love you."
"I love you too." John smiled, leaning close and pressing a kiss to Terri's forehead.
Walking into the Throne room the next morning, Narcissus clasped his hands behind his back and stopped by the door, waiting for his king to recognize his arrival and turn his attention away from his Jaffa.
"How are you handling your new host, my dear?" Cronus asked.
"He is still struggling." He admitted calmly. "However he is too weak from the extraction and the sarcophagus to put up much of a fight."
"Come." Cronus said.
Seeing his king holding out a hand towards him, Narcissus dropped his hands to his side and proceeded to Cronos' side. As soon as he was in front of the other man he sank to his knees with a familiar ease and bowed his head.
"I told you I would find you the perfect host and I have, have I not?" Cronus asked.
"You have, My Lord." Narcissus smiled up at his king "I believe he is more perfect than even you knew."
"What do you mean by that?" Cronus asked.
Glancing over at the Jaffa beside him, Narcissus held out a hand "Knife." He commanded, waiting for the Jaffa to unholster his weapon and hand it over. Turning it over in his hand he examined it for a moment before holding out his other hand and cutting into his palm. Blood trickled down his hand, dropping towards the floor while he handed the knife back to the Jaffa and closed his hand.
"Narcissus?" Cronus asked.
Seeing his hand glow for a moment, Narcissus opened his hand and turned it towards Cronos to show the undamaged skin. "That is only one of a few skills I can sense inside of him." He explained calmly. "You were already quiet aware of the gender one of course, my lord."
"Yes I am, and he is much more attractive than the female form." Cronus smiled. "Come, join me."
Doing as he was told, Narcissus took a step forward and slid onto Cronos' lap easily. It felt good to have a body for his king to wrap an arm around, and even better to lean back against the familiar chest.
"When the system lords removed you from your last host I was afraid I would never be able to hold you again." Cronus said.
"They cannot keep me away from you." Narcissus promised, reaching lay a hand on Cronos' chin as he kissed him. "They can try all they want, but they will never succeed."
"Good." Cronus smiled.
"And what if the Tok'ra?" He asked playfully. "Where will she be going this time?"
"Somewhere with more guards." Cronus said.
"Good" Narcissus smirked "I don't want her attempting to come back for my host. I do hate getting my hands dirty with murder."
"She will never trouble us again." Cronus smiled.
"Good." Leaning in close, Narcissus brushed his lips against Cronos' playfully and chuckled when his king pulled him close.
Looking through his binoculars, jack watched as the Jaffa below the ridge carried a large chest out of town.
"What's the plan, Dad?" Terri asked.
"The most we can do is try to gather information." He whispered. "I'd start by following the guys with the chest. They might be heading wherever Athena will be put."
"My Jaffa and I can handle that." Terri said.
"Take John and Daniel with you." He instructed. "See what they're doing. We're going to check out the town and see if there is a way to get in and get info."
"Yes, Sir." Terri said before turning to John. "Ready for some recon, babe?"
"I'm always ready for recon." John smirked. "It's one of the best parts of the job, especially when I have such a pretty partner."
"Keep up with the compliments and you'll give Daniel an ego." Jack smirked, causing john to scrunch up his nose in disgust.
Terri giggled at the look on John's face as she pulled out her Zat. "Ready?"
"Absolutely." John agreed, pulling his own weapon out and following Terri and her Jaffa.
Standing in front of a full-length mirror, Narcissus examined hos body carefully and did his best to ignore the way his stomach turned. He was so focused on his examination that he barley registered the moment Cronos walked up behind him.
"What troubles you, my love?" Cronus asked.
"I think I may be... pregnant..." He frowned, running a hand over his currently flat stomach. "That is what i'm getting from his memories…"
"We must rid you of it." Cronus said.
Narcissus grunted at the sound of that.
"If you carry it to term you will have to slumber after the third month." Cronus said.
"We can transfer it to another." he suggested
"You want the child to live?" Cronus asked.
"This child will have his powers." He reminded Cronos. "The powers he shares with Ba'al's mate. That is not something we should give up so easily."
"What are you thinking?" Cronus asked.
"It could be a perfect host for someone one day." He said softly.
"It is worth exploring." Cronus said.
"I thought you might agree." Narcissus smiled fondly. "We can find a new carrier tomorrow. Get it out of me before that meeting with the system lords."
"Everything will be fine with the system lords." Cronus said
Feeling his loves hands on his back, Narcissus smiled fondly and leaned back against Cronos' chest. "I assume you'll want me to speak with Ba'al?"
"It would be preferable." Cronus said.
"I cannot contact his sister." He frowned. "No matter how hard I try. I can only sense her. Sense that she is alive and healthy."
"So, you know why you can't contact her?" Cronus asked.
"I believe I would need to be on the same planet as her to speak with her." He explained softly.
"That will be hard to explain to Ba'al." Cronus said.
"I'm sure he'll find her." Narcissus said softly. "If she is not already looking for my host she will be. She'll leave Earth in time."
"You seem confident of that." Cronus said.
"It will all work out." He assured his king, leaning his head back and pressing a kiss to Cronos' chin playfully.
"I hope you are right." Cronus sighed.
"You seem concerned." Narcissus said softly. "Why is that, My King?"
"I promised Ba'al his queen's location in exchange for your return." Cronus said.
"You worry they will try to remove me again if you do not meet your end of the deal?" He asked, tracing his fingers over Cronos' arm playfully as he spoke.
"That is exactly what I am worried about." Cronus said
"I wish them luck in attempting to do so." He said softly. "I would kill the host before they could have a chance to have him, and that is only if they were capable of getting close enough to me."
"What do you mean?" Cronus asked.
"I will not allow them to separate us again." He promised. "Though I can assure you I will retrieve Ba'al mate, I cannot assure how long that will take."
"Hopefully that will be enough for the system lords." Cronus said.
"Agreed." Narcissus said softly.
Sliding up behind Terri, John looked over her shoulder and watched as the Jaffa they were following made their way towards a large temple looking building. "What do you think they could be carrying?" He asked softly.
"Symbionts maybe." Terri said.
"Would Cronos lock her away again?" He asked softly. "If he hates her so much why wouldn't he just kill her?"
"Because to the Goul'd it is more pleasurable to torture than to kill." Terri whispered.
"Sounds ... Wonderful..." John sighed. "At least it means she's alive."
"Now we just have to find where they are keeping her." Terri said.
"We'll fine her, we'll find Taryn and we'll get them home and back together and safe." John promised. "We won't give up until we do."
"Why is that?" Terri asked.
"Because both you and Mike are going to be depressed until we do." He said softly. "Plus McKay, which is a terrifying thought considering how annoying he already is."
"You're right, that is terrifying." Terri smiled.
"Exactly." John smiled. "Hence, we'll find her."
"I wish I had your optimism." Terri smiled.
"Let's go see if we can get a closer look." He smiled. "Find out what they're doing."
"Yes, Sir." Terri smiled.
"It's weird to hear you call me that." John smiled weakly. "I hope you get a promotion soon."
"If they promoted me or Taryn right now it would look like they were trying to make up for what the President authorized to happen to us." Terri said.
"Well, you kind of deserve it." he pointed out
"I don't want a pity promotion." Terri said. "I want to earn it."
"You will." John smiled. "I just think you'll earn it fast than either of you two expect."
"Why do you say that?" Terri asked.
"You're both the best at this job." He said softly. "Smart, skilled, quick to action. You'll earn that promotion sooner than you think."
"How can I earn a promotion when I have been stuck on base for the last year?" Terri said.
"By getting back in the field." John smiled. "Just like today."
"True." Terri smiled.
"Let's go find out what's going on." He smiled, stealing a quick kiss before heading towards the temple.
"Yes, Sir." Terri said before seeing something out of the corner of her eye before Aphrodite took over and went the opposite direction as John and Daniel against Terri's protests.
It was quiet when Narcissus woke up the next morning. A little too quiet considering how much his king loved to wake him up with kiss and soft words whenever he could. He opened his eyes slowly and reached back to grab Cronos' hand, only to find the spot beside him empty.
"It's always work with you." He grumbled under his breath, shifting towards the edge of the bed and throwing his feet over so he could stand up. See the system lords, make deals. Never 'spend time with Narcissus who has been in a Jaffa for far too long.'"
Walking over to his dresser, Narcissus opened the doors carefully and picked out his favorite outfit for the day.
"I'm glad you are awake." Cronus said.
"Look who managed to make it back from the throne room." He frowned, glancing over at the door .
"Ba'al arrived earlier than expected." Cronus said. "I didn't want to wake you."
Narcissus hummed at the sound of that and started to dress while Cronos walked up behind him. "I thought the meeting was not until later in the day?" He asked.
"According to Ba'al they moved it up." Cronus said.
"They always have been impatient." He sighed.
"It is the nature of our race, my love." Cronus said.
Narcissis huffed at the sound of that. "They need to relax once in a while." He whispered under his breath.
"Perhaps." Cronus said. "Some would argue that if we relax the slaves would overrun us."
Finishing with his top, Narcissus grabbed his pants next and pulled them on with ease. "Well, in that case I guess I should join you." He smiled playfully. "I wouldn't want them thinking that you don't have a mate by your side."
"Even as different as our relationship is." Cronus said before his first prime came in, dragging Terri by the hair. "What is the meaning of this?"
"She was caught snooping by Athena's banishment site, my lord, I thought it best to bring her to you directly." The first prime said.
"That's odd." Narcissus frowned. "I should have sensed your presence on the planet."
"Taryn isn't the only one who can block people from their minds, jack ass." Terri growled.
Glaring at the woman, Narcissus huffed in annoyance. "We should leave along with the others, my king."
"What do you mean?" Cronus asked.
"She would not be here alone." He said calmly. "Not with the Tok'ra queen inside of her."
"I came alone to find my brother, now let me talk to him before I let Aphrodite take away your only bargaining chip with Ba'al." Terri growled.
"You wouldn't dare kill yourself." Cronus said.
Stepping up to the woman, Narcissus reached out and grabbed hold of her chin in a painful grip. "Don't bother trying that." He said calmly. "He has been suppressed for days now. He will not be surfacing."
"He is much stronger than you think." Terri growled.
"I'm sure Ba'al will love to have you back." He smirked as Cronos stepped up behind him and put a hand on his waist.
"Jaffa, get her properly attired so that she can be presented to her king." Cronus ordered.
"I'd rather die..." Terri growled.
"That won't be happening." Narcissus said calmly. "Unless of course you would like your Fiancés to find out that you killed yourself. I'm sure they would take that... well..."
"Shut up..." Terri growled.
"They hardly survived you breaking up with them once." He smirked. "I'm doubtful they would last if you offed yourself."
"I said shut the fuck up!" Terri yelled. "You have no right to use Taryn's memories against me!"
Waving a hand dismissively, Narcissus watched as the Jaffa grabbed Terri once more and started to drag her away while he turned to Cronos. "She's lying about being alone." He said calmly.
"How do you know?" Cronus asked.
"After she went missing the first time Colonel O'Neill would hardly let my host out of the house alone, let alone off planet." He explained calmly. "She'll have someone on planet with her, and they cannot find us."
"We can handle them." Cronus said.
"I assure you, if there is even a small chance that person is Colonel O'Neill or Lt. Sheppard, no amount of Jaffa will be good enough My lord." He said softly.
"I will inform the system lords." Cronus said. "Have my Jaffa place guards at the entrance to this base and at the Chapai."
"Of course, My Lord." Narcissus bowed his head as Cronos walked up to him and took hold of his chin.
"I am leaving you in charge of the situation." Cronus said softly.
"I'll take care of it." He promised softly. "You deal with the system lords."
"You know what to do." Cronus said.
"i'm sure Apophis would love the chance to get his hands on the traitor and O'Neill." He smirked. "He is always talking about his revenge against them."
"Yes, I am sure he would be." Cronus said.
"I'll take care of everything, My Lord." Narcissus promised with a bow of his head before watching Cronos walk out of the room.
"What do you mean you lost her!?" Jack demanded, standing beside Teal'c as he spoke through the radio to John.
"She was right beside me when we went to check out the temple, and the next time I looked back she was gone." John explained. "No one attacked us, no one kidnapped her. It's like she just... walked away."
"Well, I suggest you find her before I do." Jack growled. "Or I'm ripping off your god damn arm next time I see you, Sheppard." Before the Captain could respond, Jack shut down the radio and glared at Teal'c. "Don't..."
"You should not threaten those under your command, O'Neill." Teal'c said.
"It is a threat. He'll get his ass in gear." He huffed. "Now we have to find Terri and Athena and maybe if we're lucky Taryn."
"I am confident we will succeed, O'Neill." Teal'c said.
"I hate today..." he grumbled under his breath.
Putting his radio off to his side, John sighed. "Wonderful..."
"So, what's the plan?" Daniel asked.
"Just... See if you can figure this place out and then we can go look for Terri." He sighed. "I want to find her asap."
"Ummm..." Daniel said as he saw several Goul'ds heading this way with their Jaffa.
"Wonderful..." John growled under his breath
"Maybe if we follow them they will lead us to Terri and Taryn." Daniel said before his mouth fell open when he saw S'kara and Apophis.
"Do not..." John hissed, grabbing hold of Daniel's shoulder and pulling him behind the nearest wall to hide.
"Captain, that is my family." Daniel said. "What can we do?"
"We follow them, we follow all of them." He pointed out. "Including your wife."
Daniel looked over at Shar'a before sighing and grabbing his radio. "Jack."
"What's going on Daniel?" Jack asked as he made his way through the forest.
"Shar'a and S'kara are here." Daniel said.
"Well that's great." He sighed. "All the more people to get out of here."
"What if we can't get to them?" Daniel asked.
"We're not going to leave them behind Daniel." He promised. "We'll get everyone back. We have to"
"Well, John thinks we should follow the Gaggle of Goul'd." Daniel said. "What do you think?"
"I think that might be a good idea." Jack agreed. "We'll be there soon. You guys keep them in sight."
"Oh, trust me, I won't let Shar'a out of my sight ever again." Daniel said.
"Keep to that." Jack said softly. "We'll be there soon."
Making his way into the System Lord's meeting, Narcissus took his spot beside his King while Nephritides took hold of the conversation. "The Jaffa have not been able to find them as of yet." He whispered into Cronos' ear quietly.
"Are you sure she didn't come alone?" Cronus asked quietly.
"They will be here." He assured him. "There are Jaffa stationed at the Chapai in case they attempt to retreat."
Cronus nodded his understanding as he scanned the faces of the other system lords.
"And where are the hosts?" Nephritides asked, turning her attention to Cronos "These special hosts we continue to hear about? You said you had them both, did you not?"
"Yes, we wish to see if you have indeed succeeded." Apophis said.
"Yes, where are they?" Ba'al asked calmly, narrowing his eyes on Cronos while Narcissus stood up straight
"One of them stands beside me." Cronus said calmly.
"You kept one for yourself?" Ba'al growled angrily.
"You didn't think I would had both of them over." Cronus said. "My mate needed a host and one was available."
Ba'al huffed at the sound of that. "And what of mine?" He asked calmly. "What of Aphrodite?"
"Bring her in." Cronus ordered his Jaffa.
Aphrodite held her head high as she entered the room of her own free will.
"There she is." Standing up in his spot, Ba'al moved towards Aphrodite only to find Narcissus in his way. "Cronos..."
"Narcissus?" Cronus questioned.
"I don't think it a wise idea, My Lord." Narcissus said softly as he turned his attention towards Cronos. "What have you to gain from Ba'al getting her over someone else?"
"I gained your location, my love." Cronus said. "It is a fair trade."
Drawing in a deep breath, Narcissus huffed in annoyance before stepping aside and letting Ba'al pass him.
"How disagreeable it is to see you, my dear." Aphrodite smirked.
"Shush." Ba'al growled, reaching out to grab hold of Aphrodite's chin. "It is not your place to speak to me after you attempted to leave."
"Attempted? I left." Aphrodite huffed.
"You will go back with me." He said calmly. "And this time I will ensure that you cannot leave."
"You can try and lock me up, but I have many allies in the Tok'Ra that will come after me and allies in the Tau'ri that will come after my host." Aphrodite sneered. "And I am plenty sure that this auspicious council will be interested in the reason why I left."
Ba'al growled at the sound of that. "How are you awake at this time anyways?" He asked calmly. "Should you not be resting?"
"Your demon seed is dead." Aphrodite said sternly.
Ba'al tightened his grip on her chin and growled. "How dare you?" He hissed angrily.
"I should be asking you the same question." Aphrodite growled.
Tossing her off towards his Jaffa, Ba'al hissed when his first prime caught her "Get her to the ship." He ordered. "And ensure she will not escape!"
"Having trouble controlling your mate?" Cronus smirked.
"Shut it." He growled, shoving past Narcissus and heading back towards his seat.
"What did she mean by the reason why she left?" Cronus asked.
"It is nothing." He growled angrily.
"It did not sound like nothing." Cronus said. "You lowered your voice while speaking to her."
"He's lying." Narcissus said, as he delved through his hosts memories. "Aphrodite was speaking of the child her host had been carrying. A child of two symbionts."
"You dare try to create a Harsesis Child?" Cronus demanded. "It is forbidden!"
"How can we believe this whelp?" Apophis demanded. "How do we know that Narcissus isn't just sore because it was Ba'al who removed him from his previous host?"
"How dare you." Narcissus hissed. "I would never lie to my king."
"What do you say to these accusations, Lord Ba'al?" Cronus asked.
"I say you need to get your pet on his leash." Ba'al huffed. "It seems as if he rules you these days."
"Narcissis, stand down." Cronus said. "You have no proof to your claims."
Huffing in annoyance, Narcissus took his place beside his king and kept his mouth shut.
"Now, to the matter we were meeting about..." Cronus said. "The Tau'ri have grown too powerful, as evidenced by these haktaur hosts we have found."
"Hosts that we should not waste." Ba'al pointed out calmly.
"We cannot be sure that this is a regular occurrence for the Tau'ri." Yu frowned, leaning back in his seat as he examined Narcissus' host.
"The evidence stands before you." Cronus said.
"The two Haktaur hosts we have found are siblings." He explained calmly. "We have yet to find any others even though the Tau'ri are constantly sending people through the Chapai. They may be the only occurrence. we have yet to see even O'Neill show any special talents of his own, and he is supposed to be their father."
"Even if it is not a common occurrence among them they have meddled in our affairs for too long." Cronus said.
"They need to be taken care of." Ba'al said calmly. "Preferably before they can do more damage."
"Agreed." Cronus said.
"The longer we wait, the more likely they are to attempt to take the new hosts back, or attack us." He said calmly. "Who knows how many Jaffa they may attempt to turn Traitor while they're at it."
"Since it was Apophis who caused this mess by going to their planet looking for hosts than I believe it should be his mess to clean up." Cronus said.
"I can agree with that." Ba'al nodded, leaning back in his chair as everyone turned their attention to Apophis.
"I already have two Ha'Tak preparing for a journey to the Tau'ri to wipe them out." Apophis said.
"And how do you plan to do that?" Ba'al frowned. "By yourself with two simple vessels?"
"My son Corel will get the other hat'ak ready to launch while I join him once they reach the Tau'ri system." Apophis said.
"Hmmm..." Thinking about it for a moment, Ba'al sighed. "It seems like the only option."
"If you fail we will have to step in for you." Yu frowned.
"I will not fail." Apophis growled. "The Taur'i hit me the hardest when they stole and brainwashed my first prime."
Ba'al huffed at the sound of that. "Let's hope that anger helps you in this endeavor." He said calmly.
Looking past the wall, john frowned when he saw some jaffa passing them. "They can't be far away..." He whispered to himself.
"How do you think that?" Daniel asked.
"They're all in a meeting together. It should be easy to find them damn it..."
"Umm... I just found one." Daniel said as he pointed out Terri being escorted by a half dozen Jaffa.
Looking in the direction that Daniel was pointing, John growled. "God damn it..." He hissed, reaching for his weapon only to have Daniel put a hand out to stop him.
"I doubt the two of us can take down Six Jaffa." Daniel said. "Especially since I'm not military."
John hissed at the sound of that. "I guess all we can do is follow them." He whispered. "Find out where they're taking her."
"What good will following do when she is that heavily guarded?" Daniel asked.
"Once she's in a cell they may drop the number of guards." He explained as his eyes followed Terri. "Maybe we can take them on then and get her out of there."
"You're assuming they are going to put her in a cell." Daniel said.
"What do you mean by that?" John frowned
"I mean, for all intensive purposes, she is Ba'al's queen." Daniel said.
"So?" He asked. "That somehow means she won't be in a cell?"
"Well, knowing the Goul'd I would think he would lock her up in his room on his ship which must be in orbit." Daniel said.
"Great..." Running a hand through his hair, John sighed. "Just great. What do we do?"
"They are probably headed to a set of transport rings." Daniel said.
Thinking about it for a second, John sighed. "You think if we follow them you can get us on that ship?" He asked calmly.
"Yeah, at least I'm pretty sure I can." Daniel said.
"I'm going to have to trust you on that." He sighed, grabbing Daniel's arm and pulling him down the hallway after Terri and the Jaffa.
"What about Taryn, S'kara and Shar'a?" Daniel asked.
"Let Colonel O'Neill know where they are." He said softly. "He has Teal'c and Captain Carter. They'll have an easier time with a larger group which is what we're more likely to find around those three."
"Captain..." Daniel tried to protest.
"Terri is being separated from the group." He hissed angrily. "If we don't go now we may not find her again."
Daniel bit his lip before sighing. "Alright..."
"You..." John turned to look at Daniel. "You're agreeing?"
"Jack would kill me otherwise." Daniel said.
John smiled at the sound of that. "Then let's go." He said before heading down the hallway after the Jaffa.
Watching as the System lords filed out of the room, Narcissus toyed with the necklace that hung against his chest and glared at Ba'al when he glanced back at him.
"You seem troubled, my love." Cronus said as he touched Narcissus's shoulder.
"It is nothing, my lord." He whispered, turning his attention to his king. "What's next?"
"We wait to see if Apophis delivers on his promises." Cronus said.
"Right..." He sighed softly. "and if he is unable to?"
"If he fails I will take care of it myself." Cronus said.
Narcissus smiled at the sound of that. "I would love to see that." He smiled softly. "You are so... Attractive, when you prepare yourself for war."
"I love that you admire me so." Cronus said.
Lowering his eyes, Narcissus smiled when Cronos kissed his shoulder. "You would rule the Tau'ri's planet well." He smiled. "They would cower under you."
"And then we can find how far this Hak'tar gene goes." Cronus said. "If two of them showed signs then maybe the human on that planet are close."
"Doubtful." Narcissus whispered.
"Why do you say that?" Cronus asked.
"Humans are so... primitive." He explained. "The memories my host has shows little evolution in them. They would rather torture these rare Hak'tar's instead of breeding them. A waste really..."
"There has to be more than just the two of them." Cronus said. "It is not just a random occurrence."
"I can think of at least one who exhibits powers of his own." He frowned. "But you'll have to remove a Tok'ra from him as well."
"Meddlesome Tok'Ra I wish I could just wipe them out but Ba'al has a thing for them." Cronus said.
"That is not our worry right now though." He smiled as he wrapped his arms around Cronos' neck. "For now, our worry is here and now."
"You are right, I should be enjoying your company." Cronus said.
"Exactly." Narcissus chuckled when Cronos pulled him close. "We have only been back together a day after all. We have so much time to make up for."
"That we do." Cronus smiled as he kissed Narcissis's neck.
Narcissus chuckled as his King continued to assault his neck with Kisses.
"Chaining me to the bed?! Are you fucking kidding me!" Terri demanded as the Jaffa took up positions around the room and the first prime flipped a switch and the chains holding her started to turn blue. "What the hell is this?"
"They were created to block out your Hak'tar gifts." The first prime explained.
"I should have seen that one coming." Terri sighed. "You can tell his most pompous highness that blocking my powers is cheating, not to mention a cliché and my family hates clichés."
"He does not care what you think." He growled. "Now be silent."
"I am your queen and I demand you release me!" Aphrodite said as she took over.
The First Prime huffed at the sound of that. "No, you are not." He said simply. "Lord Ba'al has ensured everyone knows who you truly are, Tok'ra scum."
"You god has lied to you." Aphrodite demanded. "He violated me to commit an atrocity against the System Lords and I left him, now release me now!"
"Silence!" The First Prime screamed. "Or I will cut out your tongue so he does not have to listen to your blathering."
"How dare you speak to your queen like that!?" Aphrodite growled.
"You are not queen of ours." He growled angrily.
"I am your queen; your lord is not a god!" Aphrodite said. "I am the one who makes it so that his Jaffa are not treated like slaves like the other System Lord's Jaffa."
The First Prime rolled his eyes at the sound of that. "You are no such thing." He said sternly.
"I would not lie to you." Aphrodite said. "I can help you get freedom for your people."
"i will not be fooled like the Shol'va, Teal'c." The First Prime hissed at her.
"What Teal'c believes is true." Aphrodite said.
"Silence!" He screamed angrily.
"You will never be free as long as you are under Ba'al's thumb." Aphrodite growled.
Daniel looked through his binoculars as he watched the Jaffa at the ring platform.
"What's the prognosis Doc?" John asked impatiently. "We safe to go?"
"It's heavily guarded." Daniel said. "There's no way we are going to get to it."
"Damn it..." He growled under his breath. "What is taking them so long to leave?"
"Hold on..." Daniel said as another contingent of Jaffa approached with a goateed man in armor. "It looks like the man Aphrodite described as Ba'al has shown up."
John growled audibly at the sound of that. "Of course, he would show up..."
"Once he goes up we will have a very short window to get to those rings before his ship leaves orbit." Daniel said.
"Then we're going to have to move fast." John decided. "We're not missing that window."
"John."
"We can't let him get away with Terri." He said sternly. "I won't let him have another go at her."
"John there is too many Jaffa." Daniel said.
"We're getting on that ship." He said sternly. "Even if I have to go alone."
"I will cover you then." Daniel sighed.
"I will accompany you." Teal'c said as the rest of SG-1 showed up.
Looking behind him, John smiled weakly when he saw SG-1 "Colonel..."
"You and Teal'c are going on that ship." Jack epxlained calmly. "We'll stay here and try to get to Taryn. I trust you two to get Terri back."
"We will succeed O'Neill." Teal'c said.
"Just get her back." Jack said softly
"Yes Sir." John nodded.
"We'd better hurry." Daniel said.
Getting up from his spot, John followed Teal'c and Daniel into the room quickly and watched as the Rings came back down from the transport. "Ready to go?"
"I am." Teal'c said.
"I'm not sure why you need me, but sure." Daniel said.
"Just get us on the ship." John explained "You can stay here."
"I appreciate that." Daniel said.
"Of course, you do." John sighed softly. "What are you going to do?"
"My wife and brother in law are still somewhere here." Daniel said. "I need to find them."
"Then I wish you luck." He smiled, getting into the ring transporter with Teal'c and watching as Daniel headed over to the control panel.
Kneeling down in front of his king's concubine, Narcissis smiled as he brought a hand up to her stomach where his hosts child was now resting and growing.
"What is it, my love?" Cronus asked.
"My host still has a connection to it." He said calmly. "One I do share."
"And what can you sense about the child?" Cronus asked.
"He'll be strong." Narcissis smiled. "A good host."
"You seem please with it." Cronus said.
"Considering his father is...undesirable, I would take it as a bonus." He smiled softly.
"Why would you say the father is undesirable?" Cronus asked.
"Conniving, lying, treacherous. those are only a few words my host has in relation to him." Narcissis explained.
"Doesn't sound so undesirable to me." Cronus said.
"The undesirable part is that my host still has feelings for him." He said softly. "Feelings he does not want."
"Will that be an issue?" Cronus asked.
"It won't be an issue." He smiled back at Cronos. "I am here now, and I have you."
"Just remember." Cronus said. "Nothing of the host survives."
"I know that." Narcissus smiled softly "It is all me."
"Are you sure?" Cronus asked.
"You question me?" Narcissis frowned back at Cronus.
"I worry the host might be too strong for you." Cronus said.
"I am in perfect control of my host." He promised. "That will not change."
"I hope you are right." Cronus said softly.
"I am" Narcissus promised.
"Alright, I trust you." Cronus smiled. "I am just glad Ba'al left as quickly as he did."
"Why is that?" Narcissus asked calmly. "Usualy you enjoy his company and some alcohol with it."
"I do believe he is holding a grudge against you." Cronus said.
Narcissus huffed at the sound of that. "He is a sour old man." He commented. "What does he even have against me?"
"He is still sore that you stole Antak from him." Cronus said. "It is why he removed you from your previous host."
"If he did not want his mate stolen, he should have treated them better." Narcissus huffed. "Besides, it is not my fault that I have better taste in hosts. He looks like an old shriveled prune with a goatee."
"You certainly have a way with words, my love." Cronus chuckled.
Making his way into his quarters, Ba'al smirked when he saw Aphrodite laying in his bed. "I see you have made yourself... comfortable." He commented.
"Oh, look, it's tall, dark, and ugly." Terri huffed.
"You must stop saying such things." Ba'al said with a roll of his eyes.
"If you lose the goatee maybe, just maybe I'd consider it." Terri said. "Then again the who 'YOU RAPED ME' thing is a total turn off."
"It is not rape when you are holding my mate within you." He growled. "Besides, you will get used to me."
"I prefer my men a mix between nerdy and strong." Terri said.
"You mean like that man with your group?" Ba'al asked with a raised eyebrow. "He one always hanging around O'Neill? That is your...type?"
"Ewww, no, not Daniel, I like his brother." Terri huffed.
"Well, we could easily remedy that." he smirked
"Oh, there's not a chance in hell." Terri growled.
"We shall see." Ba'al smirked. "That is for a later date however. For now, I believe we have some...reaquainting to do with each other. It has been quite a while since I last saw you."
"Yeah, I would rather die, but thanks anyway..." Terri said sarcastically.
"It is not up to you." He said sternly. "Now, allow me to speak with Aphrodite."
"I am disinclined to acquiesce your request." Terri smirked.
"Allow me to speak with my queen, or I shall return to Cronus and ensure that his mate's host never sees the light of day again." He warned.
"No fair, threatening my sister." Terri growled.
"If it gets me what i want, then i'll use it." Ba'al said dismissively.
"I am also disinclined to acquiesce your requests." Aphrodite growled.
"I don't much care." Ba'al growled. "You ran off on me."
"You Violated me!" Aphrodite yelled. "I believe that is far worse."
"I gave you everything!" He screamed. "I made you a queen who could help her people rather than rotting in the desert with them!"
"And I was happy with you until you decided to break one of the Goul'd and the Tok'Ra's most sacred laws in order to compete with Apophis!" Aphrodite yelled. "You're the one who screwed this up, not I."
"You are upset about that?" He huffed. "You always speak of your children so fondly, I thought you would like having another."
"Not a Harsesis." Aphrodite growled.
"We cannot allow Apophis to take all the power" He argued. "He will destroy everything."
"Then let the Tok'Ra do our jobs and release me!" Aphrodite demanded.
"Then the Tok'ra would destroy our power as well." He huffed. "Strip us of our titles, force us to give everything up or kill us. They would rather see us lose it all rather than allow us our power."
"Power you should not have had in the first place." Aphrodite growled.
"It has always been ours and it always will be." He growled. "You cannot take that away from us."
"Nothing gives you the right to enslave innocent humans." Aphrodite said. "The technology you use is not even your own, you stole most of it from the ancients."
"They are not using it." He said dismissively.
"They may if they ever return." Aphrodite said.
"I will not give up my kingdom." He said sternly. "Thus I must keep power and keep Apophis in check without allowing the Tok'ra to destroy everything."
"Is that what you think I was doing over the last thousand years?" Aphrodite asked.
"What else would you be doing?" Ba'al huffed. "Being among my ranks was the perfect opportunity to tear apart the system lords and I allowed you to do so."
"I was loyal to you." Aphrodite said. "I gave you many sons and daughters. I ruled by your side while helping the Tok'Ra defeat your enemies. Never once did I order a spy into your ranks because I trusted you."
Ba'al huffed at the sound of that. "You turned your back on me the moment you had the chance." He argued. "You gave up your kingdom for a Tok'ra general. For someone you told me I had no need to worry about."
"How do you know about Sel'Mac?" Aphrodite demanded.
"Of course I know about Sel'mac!" He snapped. "I need to know what the Tok'ra do. I need to know when to not show up to a meeting or when to move my troops and your people have failed to give me that information before so I must use a spy to retrieve it."
"Cordesh was your spy! Your Ashrak!" Aphrodite yelled.
"You betrayed me!" He screamed. "For humans and a tok'ra!"
"I betrayed you because you broke my trust, you violated me and my host!" Aphrodite yelled.
"You are my mate." Ba'al growled. "You do not say no to me."
"You used to be a better Goul'd than that." Aphrodite said. "You used to treat me as an equal."
"Well, I have seen through your lies and have returned to my true self." Ba'al huffed as he got up and headed to the door without another word.
Walking around the sarcophagus? Narcissus smiled as he waited for Cronus to finish with his nap.
"You should not be here." He frowned, looking up from his spot to see O'Neill and Daniel Jackson standing at the door.
"We came to save you, Taryn." Daniel said.
"You'll be taking my host nowhere." He said calmly, smiling when O'Neill readied his zat gun. "You really are reckless."
"One tends to be when their kids are in trouble." Jack growled. "Come peacefully and I'll make sure the Tok'ra don't kill you."
"We both know that's not true." Walking around the sarcophagus, Narcissus watched O'Neill carefully. "You'll kill me yourself as soon as you can and then put that Tok'ra filth back inside of my host."
"Athena actually lets me talk to my daughter." Narcissus growled at the sound of her name. "Now stand down."
"I won't be going anywhere with you." Narcissus dismissed, sending both Jack and Daniel flying out of the room and closing the door.
"Well... That went well..." Daniel groaned.
Sliding to the ground, jack reached up to the back of his head and groaned. "Son of a ..."
"You know, I think I am getting used to those things..." Daniel groaned.
"We're not leaving without him." He growled, pushing himself to his feet just as alarms started to go off. "Shit..."
"What you thought he wouldn't sound an alarm?" Daniel asked.
"I was hoping Taryn might be able to fight it." Jack admitted, reaching back to help Daniel up.
"Yeah, well, it doesn't look that way."
Glancing over at the door, Jack winced. "We need to go." He whispered.
"What about Taryn?" Daniel asked.
"I can't risk my team." He whispered, ducking off to the side when Jaffa started to turn the corner.
"Great, now we are coming home empty handed." Daniel whispered.
"Let's get back to the stargate." He whispered. "We'll need to come back for him..."
"And Shar'A and Skara?" Daniel asked. "And Terri?"
"John and Teal'c are working on getting Terri back..." Jack whispered. "Let's see if we can find Shar'a and Skara before they leave."
"Jack..." Daniel said.
"We're not going home empty handed." He said sternly.
"They may not even be here anymore." Daniel said weakly.
"We're not leaving without checking." Jack growled, grabbing hold of Daniel's shirt and dragging him down the hallway just as Jaffa started to show up.
"Sam, have you seen any activity at the gate?" Daniel said into the radio.
"Nothing so far." Sam radioed back.
"Well we'll have to hurry this up." Jack whispered. "We're going to run out of time."
"Then let's get going." Daniel said.
Jack nodded his head and glanced back at the hallway taryns room was in once more as he picked up the pace.
Kneeling beside Cronus' sarcophagus, Narcissus smiled as his King crawled out slowly. "Did you have a good rest, my lord?"
"I heard a commotion." Cronus said.
"We had a bit of trouble, but it has been dealt with." He assured him.
"What kind of trouble?" Cronus asked
"O'Neill and his team." Narcissus explained. "I have alerted the Jaffa to their presence."
"So, you were right, they were here." Cronus said.
"You continue to doubt me, my love." Narcissus said softly.
"I am concerned about the strength of your host." Cronus said.
"You think the host is strong enough to keep fighting?" He chuckled.
"I am concerned he may defeat you." Cronus said.
"I assure you, he is nothing more than a memory." He said softly.
"Maybe you should spend some time in the sarcophagus yourself." Cronus said.
"You think it will help suppress my host?" Narcissus asked in a bored tone.
"I think it will be safer." Cronus said.
"If that is what you wish." He shrugged. "I will not complain."
"We can spend some time together soon." Cronus said.
"I expect it." Narcissus smiled.
Terri screamed at the Goul'old torture stick was driven into her back by the first Prime.
"I will ask again." Ba'al growled. "What is the location of the Tok'ra's hiding spot?"
"I told you I don't know where the Tok'Ra are hiding." Terri said as she gasped for breath.
"You hold their queen. There is no way you could not know." He growled, signaling his first prime to use the torture stick again.
Terri screamed out again until the pain subsided. "I don't know anything!"
"You are the queen of the Tok'ra and an O'Neill." Ba'al growled. "I find that unbelievable."
"You sent the Ashrak after us, we haven't even been off of Earth for months." Terri huffed before screaming in pain again.
"You are part of the Tauri defense force." He growled. "They would inform you of things such as their iris code."
""I'm a Lieutenant, do you really think they would trust a low-ranking officer with the Iris code?" Terri said weakly.
"You would be unable to return home without it." he growled
"My commanding officer has it." Terri spat up blood.
"I find that hard to belive." Ba'al huffed with a roll of his eyes.
"Just kill me, I'm not telling your goul'd ass anything." Terri growled.
"I would rather keep you around." He smirked. "But i'm sure there are other things I can do."
"Like what?" Terri huffed.
"i can take Aphrodite out of you." He said calmly.
"You wouldn't dare replace me with another." Aphrodite growled. "I am more valuable to you in this host."
"The host is valuable." Ba'al agreed. "You however, I can replace."
Aphrodite gritted her teeth at that. "You used to say no one could replace me." Aphrodite said.
"You stopped being useful to me when you turned your back on me." He said calmly. "What I require is a host who is controlled and willing to do what I want."
"You want a puppet to control the Hak'Taur so you can make the other system lords envy you." Aphrodite huffed.
"That is the plan." Ba'al agreed. "She is useful in many ways though."
"For what it is worth, I really did care for you." Aphrodite said. "Maybe even love, or as close as our kind can get to love."
"I find that hard to believe." he huffed. "The Tok'ra look down upon us."
"The Tok'Ra like to claim that they are not Gould's but the fact of the matter is that we all came from the same gene pool." Aphrodite said. "You and I are not so different."
"We are very different." He disagreed. "You are a weak symbiont who refuses to take what we deserve. I am a god."
Aphrodite huffed at that. "A god indeed, a god who fell for a weak symbiont."
"I did not fall for you." Ba'al growled angrily.
"All the passionate times we shared, and you feel nothing for me?" Aphrodite huffed. "I find that hard to believe."
"You can believe what you want." He said calmly. "I know what I feel"
"Then why is it you haven't ordered the Jaffa to use that crude torture device on me since I surfaced." Aphrodite smirked.
"I have no use for it." He said calmly.
"No use, or no balls to do it." Aphrodite spat.
"You are where you need to be." He said calmly. "I have no need for anything else."
"You have need, you just don't want to admit it." Aphrodite smirked. "You're just as weak as those you pretend to be a god."
"Silence." Ba'al growled, raising his hand into the air in preparation to strike Aphrodite.
"Go ahead! Hit me! I dare you!" Aphrodite yelled when Ba'al hesitated.
Clenching his jaw, Ba'al huffed in annoyance and lowered his hand once more.
"You can't do it."
"I do not need to hit you in order to get what i want." He said dismissively, turning his back on her and heading towards the door.
"Where are you taking me Teal'c?" John inquired as he followed the Jaffa down the hallways of Ba'al's ship.
"They keep high level prisoners around here." Teal'c said.
"I hope you're right..." He whispered, worried about how Terri was doing.
"If I am correct she should be in one of these cells." Teal'c said as he looked into one of the cells. "In here..."
"Terri..." jolting around the corner, John ran into the room as quickly as possible and clenched his teeth when he saw his fiancee on the floor.
"She is badly injured." Teal'c said.
"Damn it…" He growled, stepping up to Terri's side and kneeling down beside her while he took a mental inventory of her injuries.
"Kill me... Please just kill me, I can't go through that again." Terri whispered, not even opening her eyes.
"Terri..." reaching out slowly, John cupped her face in his hand and cringed when she jolted away from him. "Terri, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to get you out of here."
"John..." Terri cried as she curled into him and pulled herself close to him.
"Hey." John whispered. "It's ok, baby. I'm here."
"He took her... he took her away." Terri whispered weakly.
"Took her?" John frowned "Terri what are you talking about?"
"Aphrodite..." Terri whispered weakly.
"Shit..." he whispered, holding her a bit closer. "Shit, I'm sorry babe. We'll find her though. I know we'll find her."
"He said he was going to put a real goul'd in me." Terri whispered. "Before he threw me in here."
"He's not going to do that." John promised. "I'm not going to let him do that to you."
"I can hear Taryn, she's fighting but she is quickly losing strength." Terri whispered.
"Hey..." Bringing a hand up to Terri's face, John smiled softly. "We'll get Taryn back, I promise you that. For now, we need to get you home."
"No, no home yet." Terri whispered.
"You need rest." He said softly.
"I need Taryn, and I need Aphrodite..." Terri whispered. "I'm not going anywhere without both of them."
"Terri we'll find them." John promised "But right now you need a hospital and a bed to sleep in."
Terri was about to say something when the ship lurched as they were launched into Hyperspace.
Struggling to stay on his feet, John grunted as he looked around. "Teal'c... What happened?"
"Hyperlaunch." Teal'c said.
"That's not good..." He whispered. "That's not good at all."
"We should find someplace to hide until we exit hyperspace." Teal'c said.
"Leave me." Terri whispered.
"I'm not leaving you." John growled. "Not a chance in hell."
"They do not know you are here." Terri whispered. "If you take me you will expose yourself."
"I don't care Terri." He hissed. "I'm not going anywhere without you."
"You can use the undetected time to find where he is keeping Aphrodite and to find a way to disable the ship." Terri said.
"No!" He said sternly. "We'll do that with you. I'm not leaving you here for him to come back to and torture more."
"John, please..." Terri whispered.
"It's not happening" He growled as he started to undo her restraints.
"John..." Terri whispered.
"I doubt you will be able to change his mind, Lieutenant O'Neill." Teal'c said.
"Not a chance in hell." John agreed. "Your dad would kill me for leaving you behind on this ship."
"Dad is going to kill you anyways." Terri whispered.
"And why exactly is that, gorgeous?" John inquired.
"For losing me in the first place." Terri smiled weakly.
"Mmm…" Chuckling, John gave his head a fond shake. "True, but I can share the blame with Daniel for that one."
"Please tell me one of you have a GDO." Terri whispered.
"Of course, we do." John nodded. "Wouldn't go anywhere without it, why?"
"Because we are going to need it when we gate back to earth from whatever planet we end up at." Terri said.
"True." He smiled. "See, I need you. I'd be lost without you."
"What? Is Mike chopped liver?" Terri chuckled.
"No, he keeps me alive." John chuckled
"How is that?" Terri smiled.
"With great sex AND by keeping me out of trouble." He smiled.
"Is that why you told him to stay home?" Terri asked.
"Excuse me?" John asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No need for an archeologist yet Daniel was here." Terri raised an eyebrow.
"Daniel shouldn't have been on the mission." He huffed. "This was a rescue mission, not something for archaeologists."
"And now Dad, Sam, and Daniel are probably back on Earth and Mike is probably worried sick about us." Terri said.
"Probably." John sighed. "Which is why we need to get out of here asap."
"Kind of hard now that this ship has jumped to hyperspace." Terri said.
"Well, all we have to do is wait till he stops at a planet with a stargate." John smiled. "That shouldn't be too hard."
"If it even goes to a planet with a stargate." Terri said.
"What do you mean?" inquired John
"When he removed Aphrodite he promised that no one would ever find her." Terri whispered.
"Well..." Rubbing a hand through his hair, John sighed. "That's not good at all."
"Exactly." Terri whispered.
"We'll figure it out." He promised. "We'll get Aphrodite back and we'll all get home."
"Are you sure?" Terri asked.
"Absolutely." John confirmed. "We're a kick ass team. We can't fail."
"We can use the cargo ship we borrowed from Cronus to travel to a planet with a stargate." Teal'c said.
"Shouldn't be too hard to find one once we have Aphrodite." John nodded. "But let's focus on that first. We need to find her."
"He would more than likely keep her near him." Teal'c said.
"Then we're going to have to find him..." John sighed. "That shouldn't be hard, but he'll be protected..."
"It will be difficult to get near him." Teal'c said. "But I believe I have a way."
"How do you suggest we do it?" John inquired.
"Ba'al often proposed for me to betray Apophis and become his First Prime." Teal'c said.
"So, you're going to go undercover?" He asked.
"Indeed." Teal'c said.
"You sure that will work?" John frowned. "He knows you're working with us."
"I believe I will be able to convince him." Teal'c said.
"I hope so..." John sighed.
Stepping out of the sarcophagus, Narcissus smiled when he saw Cronus standing by the door waiting for him ."Do you not have a universe to rule, my lord?" He asked playfully.
"How are you feeling?" Cronus asked.
"It was a nice nap." He smiled, making his way over to Cronus side.
"I am not ruler of the Universe yet." Cronus said. "The other System Lords and the Asgard still stand in my way."
"You will be soon," Narcissus assured. "With me by your side you will have everything."
"How can you be so confident?" Cronus asked.
"Should I not be?" Narcissus frowned.
"I do not see how we have an advantage now." Cronus said.
"With a host like mine we cannot lose." He smirked "none of the system lords can stand up to this kind of power."
"You forget that Ba'al now has the other Hak'Taur host." Cronus said.
Narcissus huffed at the sound of that. "He does not have control of her." He reminded his love. "And I can assure you that he will not get control of her easily."
"What makes you say that?" Cronus asked.
"You saw how she reacted to him. She'll fight him every step of the way." He explained. "She wants nothing to do with him."
"He could easily quell that by putting a new symbiote in her." Cronus said.
"But she has a will to live." He shrugged. "She'll be harder to gain control of than my host was."
"Your host did not wish to live?" Cronus asked.
"He was questioning the worth of life." Narcissistic confirmed. "Athena was keeping him going, but when you took her out it made it easy for me to take over."
"And you say that the Hak'Taur Ba'al is now in possession of does not have this self-doubt?" Cronus asked.
"No, she does not." Narcissistic frowned
"How can you be so sure?" Cronus asked.
"She has two loving fiancées and everyone's love." He huffed. "She has no need to hate her life."
"I thought you mentioned her own people torturing her because of her uniqueness." Cronus said.
Narcissistic huffed. "Those are not their people." He said in annoyance.
"What do you mean?" Cronus asked.
"They are children afraid of the new." He explained "rather than using these gifted people they lock them up and experiment on them. They belittle who they are and torture them."
"Sounds like the Tau'ri have the wrong people running their government." Cronus said.
"Not to mention they would rather turn in someone they claim to love rather than protect them." He huffed, closing his eyes when he realized what he said and letting out a weak sigh.
"You ARE having trouble controlling your host." Cronus frowned.
Narcissus winced at the sound of that "I am not." He protested, sighing when Cronus held up a hand to silence him.
"There is no shame in it." Cronus said. "Hak'Taur's are supposed to be strong."
"Strong only lasts so long." He grumbled. "I have full control and I will keep it that way. He'll fade into nothing but a memory"
"I hope so." Cronus said. "I do not want to lose you for a second time."
"You will not lose me again." Narcissus promised, taking a step forward and pressing his forehead against Cronus'. "I promise you that."
"I wish I could believe that." Cronus said softly.
"you do not take my word for it?" Narcissis asked.
"Because you have been taken from me before when you made that promise." Cronus said.
"But this time my host is more powerful." Narcissus pointed out. "Anyone who wants to take me away will have a difficult time doing so."
"I hope you are right about that." Cronus said. "I want no other by my side when I take over the galaxy than you."
"And by your side I will be. " Narcissus smiled as he took hold of Cronus' arm and held himself close. "Helping you take over the galaxy and conquering those who oppose you."
"Exactly." Cronus smirked.
Terri put a hand to her head as she followed John and Teal'c through the corridor.
Glancing back at his fiancée, John sighed when he saw her holding a hand against her head. "You alright?"
"I'm fine." Terri said softly.
"Don't lie to me Terri." He sighed. "What's up?"
"Just a little dizzy." Terri whispered. "I haven't been alone in my own mind for a few years."
"That's true, but it's not like she was always there." John whispered, "You're fine without her, at least till we find her again."
"Aphrodite's presence was comforting." Terri whispered. "She gave me the strength to be brave."
"Terri, you're brave on your own." He said softly. "You're an air force officer."
"As much as my father would like to believe the contrary, I am a scientist, not a soldier." Terri whispered. "I joined the air force because it was the cheapest option to get an education."
John sighed at the sound of that. "I know..." He whispered. "But still."
"I'm not strong without her." Terri whispered.
"We'll find her." He promised softly. "We'll find her and she'll be back in your head before you know it."
"Promise?" Terri asked weakly.
"I promise" John smiled. "I won't let you go without her."
"Why the sudden change of heart?" Terri asked.
"What do you mean?" John frowned
"You and Mike both were opposed to her being a part of me." Terri said.
"Well, Mike is taking a symbiont of his own now." John pointed out. "And i'm kind of outnumbered so..."
"I don't want you to just give in." Terri said.
"I'm not giving in." John smiled "I'm... understanding. It's something you two want and i'm not going to tell you you're not allowed to do it."
"Why not?" Terri asked.
"Part of being in a relationship is compromising." He smiled weakly. "I learned that while living with Mike."
"You two matured a lot while I was gone..." Terri whispered. "Grew closer..."
"That's something that happens when two people live together," John pointed out. "Why, what's up?"
"Just realizing how much I missed." Terri whispered.
"Well, it just means you have a lot of catching up to do." He smiled. "So, let's find Aphrodite and get out of here so we can start getting you caught up."
"I don't know if I have that long…" Terri whispered as he put a hand to her head again.
"Terri?" John stopped in his tracks and turned back towards his fiancée. "Babe, what's wrong?"
"I don't feel so good..." Terri whispered as she slid down to the ground and something around her neck started beeping.
"Terri!" Rushing over to her side, John knelt down beside her quickly and frowned as he looked at the collar around her neck. "Teal'c, you have any idea what this is?"
"It is a Goul'old life sense device." Teal'c said. "Goul'd system lords place them on their most precious Lo'taur."
"Ok..." He frowned. "And what exactly does the beeping mean?"
"It means the wearer is near death." Teal'c said.
"But...nothing has happened..." He frowned. "She hasn't been injured or anything... How can she be near death when she was fine a moment ago?"
"It can sometimes be used to keep the Lo'taur from being away from their master for too long." Teal'c said.
"How do we fix it?" he demanded
"Only Ba'al will be able to release the collar." Teal''c said.
John clenched his teeth at the sound of that. "We're not taking her back to him." He said sternly. "The point is to get her away from him."
"She will die if we do not." Teal'c said.
John cleanched his jaw at the sound of that. "We can't possibly take her back..." He whispered weakly.
"I will make sure she is not harmed, Captain Sheppard." Teal'c said.
John grunted at the sound of that. "Fine..." He whispered. "But if he hurts her I'll kill him..."
Watching the stars zooming past them, Narcissis smiled to himself and twirled his necklace between his fingers.
"What is it, my love?" Cronus asked.
"Just enjoying the view." He responded, unable to take his eyes off of the stars. "I haven't been able to see such things in far too long..."
"It is funny, the things we take for granted." Cronus said softly. "I don't pay attention to the stars anymore."
"When are we supposed to reach our destination?" He asked calmly.
"In a few hours." Cronus said.
"And Athena?" he asked "is she safely tucked away in a dark corner for no one to find?"
"Ba'al is taking care of that for us." Cronus said. "He knows of a nice little planet without a chap'ai on the edge of the galaxy."
"Good." Narcissus smirked. "She won't be a problem for us anymore."
"Were you worried?" Cronus asked.
Turning around in his spot, Narcissus wrapped his arms around Cronus' waste and pulled him close. "We have a whole galaxy to take over together." He smiled. "We wouldn't want her to show up and ruin that."
"She always seems to find a way, doesn't she?" Cronus sighed.
"She is resourceful." Narcissus agreed. "But resourceful can only do so much. She is gone now and soon you will rule the galaxy."
"You have such confidence in me, why?" Cronus asked.
"Because I know what you are capable of." Narcissus smiled. "And I also know that I will be by your side, ensuring that you gain control of the galaxy bit by bit."
"I am pleased you think so." Cronus smiled. "But I would be nothing without you."
Narcissus smiled at the sound of that. "We'll take over the galaxy together." He said softly, bringing a hand up to cup Cronos' face. "And I'll be there to help you take over every planet, defeat every opponent, and take your place as the head of the universe."
"I like the sound of that." Cronus smiled as he pulled Narcissus close.
"I thought you might" Narcissus smirked.
Teal'c carried Terri into the throne room as John watched from the door and the moment she got within a hundred feet of Ba'al the device around her neck stopped beeping.
"What is the meaning of this." Ba'aL demanded as he turned around in his spot to see Teal'c carrying Terri.
"My lord, I caught her trying to escape." Teal'c lied.
"And why would you care about that?" Ba'al frowned. "You are a Taur'i soldier."
"My time with the Taur'i was all subterfuge. I only left the service of my god to join a better one such as yourself." Teal'c said as he laid Terri down at Ba'al's feet before getting down on one knee and bowing to Ba'al.
"This is sudden." He frowned. " And what has made you decide to join me?"
"I remember the time you mentioned that you would wish me to be your first time." Teal'c said. "I am here to take up that honored position."
"What about Apophis? " inquired Ba'al "Is he not your God? "
"Apophis is not a god." Teal'c said. "Not like you, you once promised me freedom for my people. I would gladly serve you if it meant the Jaffa would be free."
Debating it for a moment, Ba'al smirked to himself. "Lay her on the bed. She requires sleep."
"You will not punish her, my lord?" Teal'c asked.
"I will deal with her disobedience later." He said dismissively. "There is an intruder on the ship that I need you to take care of, if you're really here to serve me."
"It is my honor to serve." Teal'c said as he bowed to Ba'al.
"When you find the intruder, bring him to me." Ba'al instructed. "I want to see them before I decide what to do."
"Yes, My lord." Teal'c said with a bow before leaving the throne room.
"Wonderful..." John whispered under his breath. "Just... Wonderful."
Watching as the ring transporter moved back into the ground, Narcissus smirked and looked around at the planet Cronus and he had just arrived on. "It looks as if your Jaffa have been busy."
"They serve their gods well." Cronus smirked.
"They know a real god when they see one." Narcissus smirked
"I hardly doubt you are referring to me when someone as magnanimous as you are standing next to me." Cronus smirked.
Narcissus raised an eyebrow at the sound of that. "They haven't even met me in this body." He pointed out. "They only know stories."
"You are far more impressive in person." Cronus smiled.
Chuckling, Narcissus watched as Cronus walked ahead of him. "Show me what you've done in my absence." He smiled "I love a good victory story."
"Well I did manage to take over most of what was Apophis's domain." Cronus smirked.
"See, a good victory story." Narcissus smirked while Cronus started to retell his tales.
"Uhhh Colonel?" Withers frowned as he looked over the edge of the rock they were hiding behind to the new arrivals. "I think we have a problem..."
"What do you mean, problem?" Harry frowned.
"It looks like your boyfriend is here." He commented, raising an eye brow when Mayborn jolted up in his spot to see for himself rather than contesting the use of 'boyfriend.'
"That's impossible, their mission was on a planet light years from here." Harry said as he grabbed his binoculars.
"You keep up with his missions?" Withers frowned. "Pffft, over him my ass."
"I'm just doing my job, Whithers." Harry said.
"Ya Ya, sure." Withers waved his hand dismissively. "What do we do sir? This is kind of a damper in our mission. We can't really take on someone with literal god like powers."
"We will get the device and get out of here." Harry said. "Like we always do."
"Really?" Withers frowned. "That's it. Him being here doesn't change anything?"
"Their arrival changes nothing." Harry said. "And stop call it him, it's creepy."
"He looks like a he..." Withers huffed as Mayborne started to get up. "Sir, are you serious? You're not a tiny bit upset or going into rescue mode?"
"I'm not listening..." Harry said as he started to move away.
"You never do..." Withers whispered under his breath before following the Colonel.
"Mike I think you are being unreasonable about this." Daniel said.
"You left them there!" Mike yelled.
"The ship left orbit, you can't ring to a ship after it has left orbit." Daniel said.
"We did what we could and John chose to go after Terri." Sam explained calmly.
"The best we can do is hope John isn't a complete fuck up and does what he's supposed to." Jack huffed in annoyance.
"Not helping..." Daniel said as he held up a hand. "As soon as they get to a planet with a Stargate John or Teal'c will contact us."
"I trust John's judgement better than the Jaffa's." Mike huffed.
"Don't... Call him that..." Jack growled "Teal'c has a name and he deserves your respect."
"I'm sorry, Sir, I am sure Teal'c is an OK guy, but he is the reason why we lost Terri the first time." Mike said before sighing. "I'm just worried about them."
"They will be fine." Jack assured them "John... Somewhat knows what he's doing."
"Doesn't help that Lantash and I aren't cleared for off world travel yet..." Mike whispered.
"No, it doesn't." Jack agreed. "But we can't change that. You still need to be cleared and you're still getting used to it. The last thing we need is you on a mission getting messed up because of the shared memories."
"I won't mess anything up, Colonel." Mike said shortly.
"They're not the only ones we have to find anyways." Jack whispered. "We have a ton of work ahead of us."
"What do you mean?" Mike frowned.
"Don't worry about it, Mike..." Jack sighed. "You don't need the stress right now."
"Colonel, I can handle anything." Mike said.
"You know, I have a name." Jack protested "And you're not military so you can actually use it instead of my rank."
"Yeah, Sure... Last time I tried to call you 'Jack' I got my ass tossed out the door." Mike said. "Never again."
"Ya ya..." Waving his hand dismissively, Jack covered his eyes with his free hand and sighed as he tried to process everything.
"Colonel..."
"Mike..." Sam spoke up, stepping up to face the other man. "How many people did we leave with?"
"You had about ten people." Mike said. "Two SG teams worth."
"Good. Now, how many are here now?"
"Wait a flipping minute..." Mike whispered. "Where the bloody fuck is Taryn?!"
"Oh look, he has a brain to use." Jack huffed as he glared at Daniel
"You aren't seriously going to blame all this on me." Daniel frowned. "You know Shar'A is my first priority."
"What the bloody hell happened out there?!" Mike demanded.
"Terri and Taryn were both taken, to different planets. We have to find them and..."
"And what?" Mike asked.
"And Aphrodite and Athena..." Jack whispered. "We need to find them all and they're all god knows where."
"They've been separated from their hosts?" Mike asked.
"Yes..." Jack whispered. "Yes they've been separated."
"This is unacceptable!" Lantash said as he took over. "You have to let me go through the Chapa'ai and inform the Tok'Ra high council of this grave news."
"Stand down!" Jack yelled back at Lantash. "We need to convene and plan before we take any drastic actions."
"I must tell the council that the queen is missing." Lantash said.
"And what are the Tok'ra going to do about it, Hmmm? What are they going to do that a Jaffa can't?"
"We may have operatives close to them that can help." Lantash said.
"You need to trust Teal'c a lot more than that." He growled before walking away.
"Tok'Ra do not trust Jaffa." Lantash said. "As Jaffa do not trust the Tok'Ra."
"Then trust me." Jack said sternly "Look in Mikes memories and tell me you don't trust my judgement. My daughters and my skills "
"I trust your judgement when it comes to your daughters." Lantash said, "But I still must contact the Tok'Ra."
"Why is that exactly?" Jack frowned
"You have made it obvious that you do not trust us." Lantash said.
"So, what?" He demanded. "So, I have trust issues, this isn't really big news to people."
"I trust you to get your daughters back safe, however, I don't trust you to search for their symbionts." Lantash said.
"You don't..." Standing his ground, Jack clenched his jaw in annoyance. "Damn it Lantash... They are part of my daughters at this point."
What do you mean?" Lantash asked.
"The girls are used to someone being inside their heads at all times. They need that voice in their head, wither it's each other or a... a snake." He explained. "They need Aphrodite and Athena. They wouldn't be complete without them anymore"
"Yet you made your opposition to them clear." Lantash said.
"My girls come first, over everything." Jack said sternly. "Including my own personal feelings. They need Athena and Aphrodite. They've made that clear, so regardless of how I feel about it, I find them all."
"That's a pretty thin line you do not cross, Colonel." Lantash said.
Sliding up behind Colonel Mayborn, Withers watched as the man did a mirror scan of the room. "This is where the thing is supposed to be?"
"According to the report we got." Mayborn said.
"Just seems like we've had less problems getting here than normal sir..."
"Maybe we just got lucky." Mayborn said.
"You sure it's that easy?" He frowned. "Were still new to the whole 'Gould' thing."
"We've stolen from the Asgard and the Nox. I think we can handle a few Goul'ds." Mayborn said.
Seeing the colonel stopping at the front of the door, Withers frowned. "Sir?"
"What is it?" Mayborn asked.
Taking a careful step around the corner, Withers winced when he saw Lt O'Neill leaned against the wall beside the device they needed. "Too easy. I knew it."
"I'll handle this." Harry said before he stepped around the corner into view.
Glancing up from the book he had picked up on the way over, Narcissus smirked. "Humans...you make so much more noise than you intend to."
"I'm guessing you knew we were coming." Mayborn said.
"You made one simple mistake in your mission." He explained calmly. "One that allowed me to see you when I arrived."
"And what may that be?" Mayborn asked.
"You came." He responded calmly, lowering his book and locking eyes with Harry. "My host does not fail to see you in any landscape, no matter how hard you try to hide."
"I always try to do the job that I ask my subordinates to do, just once." Mayborn said. "I'm just here for the device."
Narcissus huffed in amusement "You can take it." He commented, turning his attention back to his book. "Cronus will be able to get a new one easily."
"You would simply let us take it?" Mayborn asked.
"The more equipment you have, the more you can attack the Gou'ld system lords." He commented. "I know from my hosts memories that Cronus isn't even on your list. Your first concern is Apophis, and only a fool would turn down help in taking down his enemies."
"Keep talking." Mayborne said.
"Besides..." Narcissus commented as Harry walked passed him without another thought. "Nothing can crush a host and their spirit to fight more than someone they love choosing not to save them." He smirked, pushing himself against the wall and heading for the exit.
"They are not my loved one." Mayborne said. "We had a fling, I used them to get what I wanted."
Stopping in his tracks, Narcissus frowned when he felt his fist clenching. "I said that they loved you, not the other way around." He explained calmly. "I could care less how you feel."
"As I said, it was just a fling." Mayborne said as he walked towards the device.
"A fling?" Taryn turned around in his spot, anger flaring through his veins for a moment before Narcissus took control of his body once more and stepped back.
"Take your device and leave..." Narcissus growled through clenched teeth, turning on his heel and making a beeline for the door.
"Leaving so soon?" Mayborne chuckled.
Feeling himself stop in his tracks, Narcissus drew in a shallow breath as he lost to Taryn's control over their body.
"And here I thought we could have some more fun." Mayborn smirked.
Turning around in her spot, Taryn slapped Harry across the face as her long hair fell in front of her eyes and Narcissus' cloths slid down her shoulders. "Don't you dare..." She growled through tears. "Don't you dare say another word or I will destroy that thing and break your nose."
"And she makes an appearance." Mayborne smirked.
"I don't care what you have to say." She growled "I don't care how much I didn't matter, or how little you cared about me. I don't even care that I was a... a mission. But don't ever call us a 'fling' again. You do not have the right..."
"You are in no position to tell me what are and what aren't my rights." Mayborne said.
Pulling her hand back, Taryn growled when Harry grabbed hold of her wrist and stopped her from slapping him again. "You gave up." She reminded him through tears "You decided that I wasn't good enough. That your job was more important. I didn't even need to tell you the gender thing before YOU gave up"
"I'm not Bi, Taryn." Mayborne said. "I did what was best for you."
"And I would never change into male form again if you would just..." Screwing her eyes shut, Taryn lowered her head as tears ran down her face.
"If I would just what?" Harry demanded.
Taryn shook her head, unsure of what to say as Harry held onto her wrist. "Just... why..." She asked weakly. "Why did you give up on me?"
"You didn't give me a chance, you were the one who wasn't honest, I didn't look at anything as a mission until I discovered what you were hiding." Harry said.
"I was trying to keep you." She cried "I was trying..."
"Why would you lose me?" Harry asked.
"I know what I am. Who I am." She whispered. "And I know how people react to that. I didn't tell you because I knew the minute you knew you would leave and I didn't... I wanted you to stay..."
"I wanted to stay, especially after I found out about the baby." Harry said. "But you seemed to hate me at that point."
Bringing a hand up to her stomach, Taryn winced when she remembered the transfer of her child into one of the slaves. "The baby..." She whispered, turning around in time to see Lt Withers holding a zat gun just before he fired.
"Are you out of your god damn mind!?" Harry demanded.
Seeing the colonel catching Lt. O'Neill, Withers shrugged his shoulders. "Se're wasting time sir." He explained calmly. "Plus it seemed like it was her anger keeping that thing at bay, and she wasn't angry anymore."
"You'd better hope that Zat blast didn't hurt the baby." Harry growled. "Get the device..."
Doing as he was told, Withers ran past Colonel Mayborne and carefully started to extract the device out of its spot while Colonel Mayborne picked Lt O'Neill up in his arms
"Let's get home." Harry sighed.
Glancing over at the doorway, Withers frowned when he saw a woman in ancient Greek clothing standing there without a weapon. "Ummm..."
"I am unarmed." The woman said softly, her eyes locked on Taryn's unconscious body in Mayborne's arms. "Are you here to take her away?"
"Yes, and you are not going to stop me." Harry said.
"I have no intention of stopping you if you are." She explained "but..."
Harry raised an eyebrow.
"I do insist you take me with you." She said calmly, bringing a hand up to cover the small bulge in her stomach.
"What is going on?" Harry asked.
"Narcissus feared he would be forced into hibernation with a child, but he did not want it killed." She explained. "He choice me to carry it to term for him."
"And why did he choose a lowly slave like you?" Harry asked.
"You would have to ask him." she responded calmly. "Something you can do when you get him back to your planet, i'm sure."
"Them." Harry huffed.
"Sir, we don't have time to waste." Withers protested. "The Jaffa could return at any moment."
"If that is the case our escape route has probably already been cut off." Mayborne said.
"I know the way out." The slave said softly. "And when I'm with you I can ensure she is taken care of, as well as the child."
"Alright, Lead the way Ms..." Harry said.
"Melidir." She bowed. "Come this way."
Ducking around another corner, John slammed against the wall with a grunt. "Too much running..." He whispered breathlessly. "Too... Too much running"
"Jaffa, Kree." Teal'c said as he held his hand up.
Hearing Teal'cs voice, John brought his side arm up in front of him and did a quick check of the bullets he had left. "Well..." He whispered to himself. "That's definitely not enough..."
"Circle around." Teal'c said to his men. "I will face the intruder head on."
Doing as they were told, the Jaffa spread around the area with their staff weapons up, ready to fire if the first prime gave the order.
"Right... Of course..." John whispered under his breath. "This makes sense. this... This make's sense."
"Show yourself, Tauri." Teal'c called.
Clenching his jaw, John thought his options through for a moment and let his eyes scan the area. Teal'c certainly wasn't talking to no one when he told the Jaffa to spread around, because John could see them standing in all different corners of the room. "Great.." He whispered, putting his gun off to the side and turning around the corner to face Teal'c.
"Are you not going to try to fight?" Teal'c asked.
"nNo point in shooting. I'd just get shot down after I ran out of bullets." he shrugged "But I got to say, not a fan of going anywhere with you."
"You do not have a choice in the matter." Teal'c said.
"Ya... I got better plans." He smirked "A girl to save, a ship to blow up... A father in law to disappoint. you know, he really liked you. He'll probably shoot me because It'll somehow be my fault you're a lying liar."
"Jaffa, leave us." Teal'c ordered. "I will take care of the slave myself and present his corpse to our Lord Ba'al."
"If I remember correctly, he wanted you to take me to him alive." John smiled playfully. "Or did you think I wouldn't follow you when you have my fiancée?"
"From what I know of you, Captain Sheppard, you are not the one to give in." Teal'c said.
"All I got to say is..." Holding his hands up in the air, John put them behind his head slowly and smirked. "Take me to your leader."
"I do not think O'Neill would appreciate you using that particular cliché." Teal'c said low enough so only John would hear.
"Oh really?" John smirked "and why is that?"
"I believe he calls it dibs." Teal'c smiled slightly.
Seeing the smile on Teal'cs face, John chuckled softly. "I think he would probably have a few good words to say to me about it." He agreed.
"Everything is under control, Captain Sheppard." Teal'c said. "I do not have to bring you before Ba'al to face inevitable torture."
"I won't leave without Terri. " He whispered. "If going near... him, will get my a way closer to her, I don't care."
"I would do the same if I were in your shoes." Teal'c said.
"What do you mean by that?" John frowned.
"My wife and son are will under Apophis's rule." Teal'c said. "I fear that they will never be free and their lives are in danger because of my actions."
"Well, in that case, we're going to have to go find them after this." He smiled softly.
"I do not think that would be wise." Teal'c said.
"You know as well as I do, Jack would drop anything to help you." He said softly "But we'll talk about it later. For now, I think I have a system lord to meet."
"It is not O'Neill I am worried about." Teal'c said.
"Then who are you worried about?" John frowned.
"When I first joined Stargate Command I told General Hammond that I had no connections back on Chulak." Teal'c said.
"You lied to protect them. There's nothing wrong with that." He said softly.
"And now I fear I will lose General Hammond's trust if I reveal it now." Teal'c aid.
"We should go soon though." He smiled. "Before your Jaffa start questioning what's going on."
"Do not worry, Captain Sheppard." Teal'c said.
John was about to ask what Teal'c mean when he felt a familure surge of a zat gun running through him, and the world around him went black.
