After retreating from the battle that took Marie from the others, Marie had attacked them several times before, and everyone was desperate to find a way to SAVE their leader. "We can't just keep defending against the attacks and hope she's gonna come back uninfected!" "You're right, but what CAN we do?!" Aaron retorted, frustrated at not being able to help his friend. "Wait. What's that?" Percy asked, starting to hear a faint glitchy sound, steadily growing louder. The team all searched the house, but couldn't find the source. In the foyer, they all could here it the loudest, and the noise finally showed itself, in the form of a glowing white glitch in the center of the room. Then, a human hopped out, but it didn't look like a normal human. Their skin was gray, hair shoulder length and bright red, eyes with a black sclera and red irises, and a dress completely black, exept for three horizontal red stripes on it. "Hello." They greeted, after landing and facing the team. "Hello...?" Percy replied, not sure what to think of the small child. "Do not be alarmed, I am not here to hurt anyone. Well, exept for Darien and Indigo." "How do you know them?" "They're two of the main antagonists of this story, Lola being the other. I want to help you free the main protagonist, so Okida doesn't go insane." "Who's Okida, and, before we go any further, what's your name?" "Oh yeah, you guys don't know about the forth wall. But anyways, my name is Player." (Player, don't tell them, they'll end up like Sans! They'll know about us, and the AUs and ATs. Only Marie can know!) At those words, Percy immediately loaded a Gaster Blaster towards Player. "Wait! I'm not here to hurt you, i said!" They shouted. Percy, not entirely convinced, asked, "How do I know you won't harm us?" "Because! I'm going to help you all free Marie!" Percy dropped her weapon, and said, "You're gonna free her?!" "Yes. In fact, that's kinda my role in this chapter." Percy cocked her head in curiosity, but Player brushed it off saying, "Ehhh...don't worry about it." "Let's go!" At that, Percy raced off with Player in tow, and everyone not far behind. Percy was speeding off with more DETERMINATION than ever, at the chance of saving her best friend, who happened to be her love interest. As they neared the building, Percy would have ran straight in there, were it not for Player holding her back. "We need to devise a plan to draw her out." "Okay, that's fair." "I'll draw them out, and you guys sneak in." Misty chimed in. "Okay, and be prepared to RUN." Aaron said. Misty ran out from their hiding place, and yelled, "HEY UGLY!" Looking at Darien, who was guarding. "COME AND GET ME!" Using her water manipulation, she sped along in a bubble of water. Darien took the bait, and began to give chase after the siren. Aaron ran along with her, so the dark teen wouldn't catch them. The remaining team ran into the building, and hid in a spare room. "What now?" Marcus questioned. "Percy and I will find Marie, and you and Justin go and distract Indigo." "You can count on us!" Justin replied, and then ran off, and yelled, "HEY, YA OVERGROWN BLUEBERRY! COME AND GET ME!" Indigo was in the room Justin ran into, and gave chase. Marcus ran in there and joined Justin to hopefully overwhelm the blue villian. Player and Percy ran to a whole bedroom, where Marie was. She was practicing magic, like how she did before being corrupted. She jumped up as soon as Percy and Player burst into the room, and armed herself with a staff. Her theme was playing, but it was distorted, and slower than what it was. She rushed forward, and immediately striked Player. Player was unflinching, because the hit she did, dealt no damage, because of Player's HP being extremely high. Marie had a shocked look on her face, that quickly turned to fury, as she rushed forward to strike Percy. She dodged, and hit Marie. The hit took 63 HP from her original 8337, and Marie quickly retaliated with a black and distorted version of a Gaster Blaster. Her eyes were completely black, and blazing black and red as she stabbed forward to hit Percy, but the other dodged and gave a pleading look at Marie. Marie gave a look filled with fury and hate that seemed to say, Why are you sorry?! YOU MADE ME THIS WAY. Percy was crying as she stabbed forward with a sword, but Marie dodged. Marie began to laugh, like she found this attempt amusing, and it grew more maniacal and distorted as she carried on. Now she had an unnerving smile on her face, and was striking with more and more intent to kill, and her attacks were becoming increasingly difficult and unfair. Black liquid was flowing from her mouth, and she was laughing hysterically now. Player was crying too, and rushed forward to restrain the girl, but it was ineffective, as Marie punched them hard enough to send them into the wall. As the impact hit them, Player jumped up again and rushed to hit Marie, and succeeded. Taking 635 HP, Marie falted for a moment, then rushed back into battle, and said in a distorted and disturbing voice, "YOU'RE JUST A DIRTY HACKER, AREN'T YOU?" She took a large knife, and slashed towards them, and hit. Percy took 52 points out of her 75 HP, and collapsed to the floor. Out of feeling her sins crawl up her back along with darkness and guilt, she stopped attacking and had the blank look again. "C'MON MARIE! YOU CAN FIGHT IT!" Marie heard Sans exclaim, who was finally able to reach her. "I can't...I'm sorry..." She murmured, now crying. Percy looked at her with pleading eyes, and Marie responded with, "Percy...please...help...me..." She managed to speak, before the HATE overpowered her again. "YOU IDIOTS. I WON'T LET THAT FOOL OUT AGAIN, AND THIS BODY WILL BE MINE!" The entity shrieked, and rushed forward to hit Percy, but it missed entirely. "PERCY!" Marie screamed, and then said, "I know you'll be here for me and keep me safe..." Marie drew her sword, and, instead of striking outwardly, it struck into her abdomen instead. Marie's eyes were flowing with actual tears, and she collapsed on the ground, bleeding and laughing weakly, and Percy shrieking with horror and sadness, tears streaming from her, Player, and everyone bound to Marie.
