Shadgirl2: Only one more chapter after this.

Midna Azusa: We are planning a sequel, though. No idea when that's coming out. It'll feature characters from TWT, though, so it'll probably be awhile. We need to get comfortable with writing using them.

Disclaimer: We don't own Trolls.

Poppy and Branch found Biggie rummaging around in an older troll woman's very large hair. Mags Gumdrop was known for her hairdo—and she frequently found that people lost things up there. Next to the lagoon, Mags's hair was the most likely place to lose something in Troll Village. All they could currently see of Biggie was his blue feet poking out of Mags's hair.

Poppy stood by, watching in amusement. Branch leaned over and quietly said to her, "Looks like he figured it out."

Poppy giggled as Biggie popped out of Mags's red hair with a piece of paper in his hand. "I've got it!" he said triumphantly as his feet hit the ground. He then looked at the two observers and added, "Oh, hello, Poppy."

"Hi, Biggie. Enjoying your Prank Day so far?" she asked with a mischievous grin.

Biggie sighed and answered, "I suppose. It's more like Treasure Hunt Day, except I'm looking for something that was taken from me." He turned to Mags and said, "Thank you for understanding."

"Ah, any time, Biggie," she responded, waving a hand. "Like I said, it happens all the time. Have a fun day, you three! Happy Prank Day!" She started walking off.

Poppy waved after her, calling, "You too, Mags! Happy Prank Day!"

Biggie opened the envelope and pulled out the next clue. "'Nearly anything you want can be found here, but you have to pay the price. Something sweet, something spicy, and something dry. Sorry this one doesn't rhyme,'" he read. He then looked at Branch and asked, "Branch, that sounds like the market, but is this a shopping list?"

"You tell me," Branch answered, arms crossed.

Poppy looked at them both, lost. "Uhhh...guys?"

"Something sweet, something spicy, and something dry... Is this the same item?"

"How many things do you know that are both sweet and spicy?" Branch answered.

"Fair point. Then I suppose I need to find someone in the market who sells sweet, spicy, and dry foods!" Biggie said before running off.

Branch cupped a hand around his mouth and called, "Yeah, good luck, Biggie!"

Poppy blinked and stared at Branch curiously. "Uh, Branch? No one sells all three at a single booth around here."

"Oh?" he answered, looking sly. "What about...produce?"

Poppy just blinked. She still didn't know where this one was going.

Before Branch had a chance to tell her what that meant, the twins came over, clean and properly dressed in their usual garments rather than Branch's insane designs.

"We found our clothes, Branch," Satin told him.

"Yeah, thanks for hiding them in Nova Swift's chest!" Chenille complained.

It was true—they'd found their clothes at the runway in a chest belonging to Nova Swift, their idol. In other words, they were counting their blessings that she hadn't seen them like that.

Branch shrugged. "Hey, they were properly stored. I even folded them all for you."

"Hey! You guys are back to normal now! Aw, what's wrong? Didn't you like my neat-o color scheme?" Poppy asked, pulling out a dry paintbrush and pointing it at them teasingly.

"No, not really," Chenille answered. "I think you must be color blind if you think that looked chic!"

"And, Branch? Stick to building and setting traps," Satin added. "Clothing design just isn't for you."

Branch sighed dramatically, acting sorely upset. "Well, there goes my dream of being a top-tier fashion designer one day. Oh, the disappointment!" He draped an arm over his face dramatically.

"And my dreams of being a famous artist! Oh, the horror!" She did the same as Branch, draping her left arm over her face while tucking the brush away in her hair with her right hand.

Satin laughed at their melodrama. Chenille crossed her arms and tried to keep a straight face, but she started laughing after a few seconds, too.

Poppy threw her arms up over her head, fists clenched, and cheered, "Happy Prank Day, everyone!"

The twins echoed, "Happy Prank Day!"

Branch just smirked, crossing his arms.

Their Hug Time watches all went off then. Poppy lowered her arms, looking at her watch (fists still clenched). Branch, Satin, and Chenille all looked at them as well.

Poppy smiled brightly and quickly grabbed Branch's shoulders, pulling him over as she said, "Hug Time!" She gave Branch a quick hug, but she didn't wrap her arms around him the way she usually did. Rather, she kept her hands on his shoulders and pulled him closer.

Branch rolled his eyes but hugged Poppy. The one thing he figured was safe on Prank Day was Hug Time—for Poppy, that was practically a sacred ceremony, after all. He did briefly wonder why she wasn't actually hugging him, though. Normally she was eager to squeeze the life out of him.

Satin and Chenille hugged each other, completely oblivious to the weirdness going on right in front of them.

Suddenly Poppy screamed in horror, pulling away from Branch and pointing at him with her left hand. Her right was clenched into a fist at her side. "Branch! There's a gray spot on your skin!"

She looked so concerned that the twins pulled apart, looking at Branch in worry. He, however, crossed his arms.

"Not falling for it, Poppy."

With both fists clenched, Poppy brought them up to her face, eyes wide. She gasped. "Branch, I'm not kidding! I think it got there 'cause of how we've all been treating you! You need some fun or love, and fast!"

If that didn't tell him this was a trick, Branch didn't know what did. Besides, he'd been gray. He knew that a "spot" wasn't how it happened. It was full-body or nothing.

He stared at her lamely for a moment before saying, "I'm gonna go see how Biggie's doing," and starting off.

"Aw. But, Branch. You look so much better all blue!" Poppy responded, following with her left hand out. Her right was still clenched.

Satin and Chenille looked at each other, suddenly remembering what day it was and who they were dealing with.

"Did you see anything wrong with Branch?" Satin asked.

"If there was, it was Poppy's fault. She's probably got extra paint on her."

Poppy was still trying to convince Branch there was a gray spot on the back of his left shoulder when they found Biggie.

Shaking clenched fists in front of her face, Poppy groaned, "Arh! Come on, Branch! I'm telling you, there's a—" She waved her hands in frustration, keeping her palms out of sight, as Branch continued to ignore her insistence that there was a problem.

"Hey, Biggie! Find the right place yet?" Branch asked his other friend instead of addressing Poppy.

Biggie looked around the market, uncertain. "Well, no. I can't find anyone who sells food that's spicy alongside sweets and something dry!"

"Maybe you shouldn't be thinking 'sweets' just because the clue said something sweet," Branch hinted.

Biggie thought about it for a moment, trying to figure out what else was sweet. "Hmm... Well, fruit is sweet... Oh, and peppers are spicy! But...what's dry?"

Poppy's eyes widened in sudden understanding. Her fists were once again clenched at her sides as she said, "Oh. I get it now. Fruits and vegetables are sweet, spicy, and dry. Oh, good one, Gray Boy. Nice work." She crossed her arms, grinning in amusement.

"Gray Boy?" Biggie asked, confused. "Poppy, Branch isn't gray anymore. He—" He cut himself off as he turned and saw the gray spot on Branch's left shoulder. Eyes widening, he pointed at it, stammering, "B-Branch! Your shoulder!"

"Huh?" Branch couldn't disregard two people saying something was wrong. Sure, it could still be a prank, and there was no way he was actually turning gray again. Still, there could be something there. He finally took a look himself.

What he saw was a blue gray blotch the size of a troll's hand...exactly where Poppy had put her right hand during Hug Time. Branch looked at it lamely for a moment before turning that same look on Poppy. He now knew why she'd been so weird at Hug Time. She no longer looked concerned, merely amused. Slowly she held out her right hand, carefully unclenching her fist as she suppressed a giggle. Her palm was coated with blue gray ink.

"Really? That is not how that works," Branch reminded her as he pulled a wet wipe out of his hair and wiped his shoulder clean.

Poppy just stood there giggling while Branch worked on cleaning himself up. She pulled out an ink pad, the lid currently open to reveal the blue gray ink inside. She threw her arms up in the air, beaming.

"Happy Prank Day, Branch! Oh, I got you good with that one," she smirked, closing the box and putting it away.

"Actually, I think you got Biggie with that more than me," Branch countered. He turned his attention back to Biggie and asked, "Anyway, you think you've figured out the riddle?"

"Yes!" Biggie answered. He ran to a stand selling fruits and vegetables, including several dried fruits such as raisins. "I need something sweet, something spicy, and something dry. Do you have that?" he asked for the 15th time today.

"As a matter of fact, I know just what you're after," the orange troll answered, reaching under the counter and pulling out an envelope, which he then handed to Biggie.

Poppy stared, crossing her arms with a grin. "...Good one. You even managed to get Maple involved in it."

"Oh, yeah, and Mags was in on it, too. But they're not the only trolls in on this prank. Wait 'til you see where this clue leads him," Branch told her as Biggie pulled the next clue out of its envelope.

"It's the final clue!" Biggie exclaimed. "That means Mr. Dinkles is close! 'You're almost there, the prize is close. Now find the one who cares the most.'" He stared at the clue for a moment before, "The one who cares the most? What does that mean?"

"Biggie, by now, you should know I'm not going to tell you that."

"Well, the one who cares the most..." He looked at Poppy and asked. "Do you have Mr. Dinkles, Poppy?"

Poppy grinned, holding up her hands (one of which was still covered in dried gray ink). "Nope! Sorry, Biggie. I'm not the 'kidnapping' kind of troll." She raised her eyebrows in a hinting manner.

Biggie sweat. "Oh... Well, no worries! I just need to think a little harder. Hmm... The one who cares the most... Well, it's not who Branch thinks cares the most... Oh, Caroline!" He ran off to find the troll in question, thinking this might be a play on words: Care-oline.

Branch smirked. He didn't even know a Caroline. "He's not even close."

Poppy snickered in amusement. True, she didn't know who it was, either, but it didn't make this any less entertaining.

"Aw, well, he'll get it eventually. He just needs to think about what he's looking for."

"Yep! Up top!" Poppy said, holding up her still-gray hand.

Branch eyed Poppy's hand, then gave her a high five...with one of his wipes, which he left there.

Poppy's eyes widened in shock. Then she slowly took the cloth, grinning sheepishly. "Rrriight... Better wash up first before touching anything else, huh?" she asked, rubbing her hand with the wet wipe.

"Yeah, might be a good idea." Branch smirked, watching her for a second, before adding, "Fore more reasons than one." He pulled a cord, and glitter spilled all over Poppy.

Her eyes widened as she cried out in shock. She stood there, eyes wide, blinking, now covered in glitter.

"Consider that payback for all those invitations, cards, letters, and scrapbooks you've given me that sprayed glitter in my face," Branch said with a smirk.

Poppy shook off the glitter, a slight grin on her face. "Okay. You got me, Branch. Happy Prank Day." She opened her arms for a hug, her right hand now ink-free.

Branch narrowed his eyes in suspicion and backed away. He'd learned that nothing was sacred on Prank Day—even hugs were a trap. "Yeah. Happy Prank Day."

Poppy moved closer, still grinning. "Aw, come on.

Branch ran off, calling, "Not happening! I'm not falling for it!"

"Hey! Get back here, you!" Poppy laughed as she chased after him. She still had her arms open for a hug.

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

"Go away!"

"Come here!"

The two of them ran through Troll Village like that for a bit. Those they passed thought it was cute as they watched the two trolls sprint through the village, arguing over a hug on Prank Day. Poppy was laughing and smiling, Branch looked like he sensed a trap.

Later Biggie found himself outside the critter nursery. After Caroline had told him that she didn't have Mr. Dinkles, he'd tried the doctor and the critternarian. The last one had told him to try the critter sitter. After all, that was a logical place to find a missing critter.

"This has to be where Mr. Dinkles is! After all, a critter sitter cares about critters, right?" Certain he was right this time, he headed inside, calling, "Ginger! Are you here?"

"Ah, Biggie!" answered the orange troll with blue hair. "There you are! Mr. Dinkles was starting to think you'd forgotten about him!" She held out an orange worm with a mustache, hat, and sunglasses—Mr. Blinkles, the rival of Biggie's little friend.

"Moop," the worm said.

Biggie stared, wondering if he had the wrong troll again after all. "...Uh, that's not—"

"Just kidding!" Ginger said, putting Mr. Blinkles down. "Happy Prank Day, Biggie." She held out Mr. Dinkles next.

"Meep!" he cried, happy to see Biggie.

"Mr. Dinkles! Oh, thank goodness!" Biggie cheered, taking the worm from Ginger and hugging him. "Branch has had me running all around Troll Village looking for you!"

"Meep!" Mr. Dinkles said, letting Biggie know he hadn't been aware of that part.

"Well, there's no need to worry. It's all in good, clean fun. And I think Mr. Dinkles kind of enjoyed his time with us! Didn't you, Mr. Dinkles?" Ginger asked.

"Meep!"

"Well, that's good. I'm glad you had fun, Mr. Dinkles!" Biggie looked at Ginger and said, "If it's okay with you, I'd like to leave him in your care again in the future."

"Sure! Stop by anytime! We'd be glad to have him!"

"Thank you, Ginger!" Biggie looked at Mr. Dinkles as he started out and said, "Come along, Mr. Dinkles. There's a Prank Day party we need to get ready for."

"Moop!" Mr. Dinkles said.

Biggie stopped walking and looked at the worm curiously. "Mr. Dinkles?"

The worm smiled and said, "Meep!"

Biggie smiled at the prank from his tiny friend. "Oh, very funny, Mr. Dinkles! Happy Prank Day to you, too!" he said as he left the critter nursery.

Poppy and Branch called a truce finally, with Poppy giving up on that hug for now. She wanted to see where Mr. Dinkles was. The two of them arrived at the critter nursery just in time to see Biggie leaving with Mr. Dinkles.

Poppy covered her mouth with both hands, trying not to laugh.

"Ooh... Nice. Ginger the—" Her quiet giggling cut her off.

Biggie caught sight of them both then while she snickered. "Oh, hello, Branch. Poppy."

"Hey, Biggie," Branch said. "I see you found Mr. Dinkles."

"Yes, I did. I suppose I should have suspected you'd leave him with the critter sitter."

Branch smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Hope you enjoyed our game. Might make it a regular occurrence."

Biggie sweat and waved his hand a bit frantically. "Oh, no need for that, Branch! I don't really want to have a treasure hunt every year!"

"Yeah? Then don't go putting me on anymore shows I don't want to be on."

"Right, yes, understood," Biggie nodded.

"Aw, what's wrong, guys? Don't you two just love being forced into odd games you're just not comfortable with against your wills?" Poppy asked with a sly grin as she walked over to the two.

Once again, Biggie sweat. "Ah..."

"Oh, yeah, about as much as you do," Branch answered her.

Poppy crossed her arms, looking amused. "Uh-hm..."

"Ah, yes, well... I need to go get ready for the party tonight," Biggie said. "I'll see you both later!" He hurried off before either of them could prank him again.

"Yeah, Biggie! This is one party you don't want to miss!" Branch called after him.

The way Branch said that, Biggie had a bad feeling somebody was going to be pranked hard at this party. He just hoped it wasn't him.

Poppy gave Branch a curious look and asked, "Huh? What's up, Branch? I thought you got back at everyone you were mad at."

"Well, there's still one troll left on my list."

Poppy blinked. Once again, she wasn't following. Branch didn't even bother trying to explain. He just smirked.

Later at the Prank Day party (with Cooper still in hiding from the zombie virus), DJ Suki came in dressed in a trench coat, sunglasses, a cowboy hat, and a mustache. Only her closest friends could even tell it was her.

With an excited grin, Poppy said to Branch, "Ooh. Just look at 'him' up there! Guess having 5 pushy boyfriends finally did him in, huh?"

"Seems so," Branch answered with a smirk. "Excuse me a minute." He walked over to talk to DJ.

"Hey, y'all! So sorry DJ Suki ain't here, but she got hit with a sudden case of sparkle fever—" DJ started, trying to lower her voice to a deeper pitch.

Five trolls protested in concern.

The first gasped. "Oh, no! Suki! How can I marry her if she gets—"

"Aw, darn it! Mama told me never to stare at a sick girl!" the second said, kicking the dirt in annoyance.

The third gasped more dramatically. "NOO! What if she dies!? I can't live without my idol!" He fell over, playing dead.

"Oh, no! She needs me more than ever, but..." Number four shuffled his foot, looking sheepish. "I'm too shy, so..." He laughed awkwardly.

Near Biggie and Smidge, the fifth troll said, "Sick!? B—I don't have any souvenirs of her being sick! 'Scuse me!" Thus he ran off, looking anxious, to get a "souvenir" of DJ being sick.

Biggie and Smidge stared after him, Smidge with an eyebrow raised. They both looked disturbed by this turn of events.

Hearing all of her stalkers out in the crowd, DJ sweat but tried to otherwise show no fear. "Uh, well, anyway, as I was sayin'... I'm filling in for her in her place! So, without further ado—" She looked excited as she pulled out her latest mix and said, "As DJ'd put it, it's about to get crazy up in here! Her newest mix is chock full of—"

"Oh, yeah, it is!" Branch cut her off as he came up on the stage, a different mix in his hand. "In fact, this is the best mix she's ever had!" He walked up to the "substitute" DJ as he added, "I just picked it up from her. Apparently she gave you the wrong one."

DJ blinked, slowly taking the track from Branch. "Uh... Thanks?" She looked from the one she'd brought to the one Branch had given her, confused. Dang. Thought for sure I brought the right one this time... Good thing Branch knew I had the wrong one, I guess. Aloud, she inserted the mix into her wooferbug as she continued, "Uh, anyway, as I was saying—"

Then, before DJ could realize what was going on, Branch shoved her aside, calling out, "Hey, guys! Before we hear DJ's latest smash hits, let's hear her hidden beats!"

And he played the track.

"Huh!?" DJ exclaimed. "Wait a—"

She was cut off as the track started to play. DJ's snores rang out over the crowd. "Aw, man. That's one huge frosting apple... I don't know if I can finish it all..."

The party-goers looked around at each other, confused. Several raised their eyebrows while others just shrugged at their friends.

Still disguised, DJ's eyes widened in shock. "What!? That's not the—"

"I do! I do!" DJ said on the recording. "I do, wooferbug! 'Til death do us part, you know I do!"

The audience started laughing.

"Ladies and gentletrolls!" Branch called, smirking. "I present...DJ Suki's Sleeper Mix!"

Poppy burst out laughing, clutching her stomach as she doubled over.

DJ grabbed Branch by the arm, pulling him aside. She looked completely nonplussed and uncomfortable. "Hey! What gives, dude?" she whispered. "W-when did you—" She cut off with a gasp, suddenly realizing something. "I didn't give you my—"

Branch smirked. Her brain had finally caught up with the events—she now remembered that she had never given Branch her mix or even let him know what the right one was.

"No," he said. "You didn't."

DJ blinked. "Uh... So, then—"

"Happy birthday, sandwich..." the track continued. "Can you believe it's been 20 years since we graduated clown school together...?"

The partying trolls blinked and started laughing again.

"See, since you decided that I should spill all of my secrets to Troll Village, I thought I'd give you the chance to do the same," Branch said, still smirking at DJ.

For a moment, DJ didn't know what to say. She just blinked a couple of times before she finally found the words to try to ask, "But...how'd you... I don't..."

"CJ's getting married... I'm so proud to be her scullery maid..." said the sleeping DJ on record.

More laughter echoed from the audience, this time accompanied by the voice of a young troll—CJ, DJ's little niece. "A-Aunt DJ! That's so wrong!" the child laughed. "You'd be my maid of honor, not my scullery maid! What's wrong with you?"

"And I thought I had weird dreams!" Keith laughed.

DJ sweat, watching the crowd's reaction as she waited for Branch's explanation of how he had gotten this all on tape in the first place.

Quietly Branch said to her, "Oh, that's easy. I've been sneaking into your pod when you're asleep and recording what you say. Did you know you talk in your sleep? Because I wasn't sure until that first night."

DJ sweat, thinking about that. "...Oh... Guess that means I do talk in my sleep..."

Branch nodded, smirking.

"But, Mom. I don't want to climb Slippery Slope just to prove to everyone I can dance! Can't you just ask Chenille to do it?" said the recording.

"Wait, why me? That wouldn't prove anything!" Chenille asked through laughter.

All those gathered continued to laugh at DJ's sleep-talking.

DJ sweat, grinning slightly. "Uh, real funny, Branch. But, uh, why'd ya start so early?"

"I had to get everything ready, didn't I?" he answered.

"Oh... Rright..."

Satisfied she now understood the prank being dealt to her, DJ backed off as the recording said, "I don't think these pants fit me right..."

The trolls laughed once again.

The track came to an end then, and Branch walked over to the wooferbug to retrieve it. "Okay, thanks for humoring me, guys," he said to the party-goers once he had the track in hand. "Happy Prank Day, everyone!"

"Happy Prank Day!" they cheered.

Poppy gaped as she realized something—Branch's latest prank had not only gotten back at DJ. It had turned into a prank on all of Troll Village when he told them this was DJ's latest mix. In other words, in one move, he had managed to prank her entire village.

"Hey, wait a—" She cut off, giving Branch a suspicious glare.

Still on stage, Branch turned back to DJ and said, "It's all yours." He jumped off the stage, and DJ went to get the party actually started.

If DJ had been a little less focused on the embarrassment she'd just endured or the party she was at, she might have noticed that her five crazy fans hadn't reacted strangely to this mix of Branch's. Rather, they were acting exactly like all the other trolls and didn't seem concerned with finding her. They just joined the party, like normal trolls.

Branch, however, did take note of this as he returned to Poppy, who waited for him with her arms crossed and an annoyed expression on her face.

"Say, Branch? Remember when you told all of Troll Village your favorite holiday was Prank Day 'cause you're real good at it? Just how good are you?" she asked. 'Cause it's starting to look like you're better than me. Which would mean that...

She called herself the Prank Master. It was a title she guarded jealously. Anyone who threatened it was to be taught swiftly and fiercely that she was the best and they were second-rate. Under no circumstance did she want to admit that anyone was better at this holiday than she was.

"Well, until I saw what you can do, I would have called myself the Prank Master," Branch said, immediately making Poppy want to prove that wrong. "Now I think we might both be."

This little add-on made Poppy look at him curiously. Normally she was highly competitive, and she knew Branch had that tendency as well. Hearing him admit that they might be tied at something was a bit surprising.

"...Really?"

"I already told you, Prank Day requires everything I'm best at!" Branch reminded her. "Of course I'm good at it! But you're great at it, too. Really good. That prank you pulled on Guy was brilliant!"

Poppy smiled at him, looking touched. "Aw. Branch..." She switched to a wicked smirk as she pulled a bucket of gray paint from behind her back—a bucket that seemed to come out of thin air—and dumped it on his head.

"Hey!" he cried, startled.

"Got ya! But, hey, cheer up, pal. It's only a prank!" she said, laughing.

Branch smirked but then quickly turned it into a scowl very reminiscent of his gray days. "Great. I'm gray again."

Poppy just stood there, laughing. Branch kept pretending to be a grouch while she got over her giggles, but, when she finally calmed down, she wanted to dance with Branch. She gave him puppy dog eyes and said she'd never gotten to dance with him when he was gray, begging him to stay at the party for a bit before going home to get cleaned up.

He lasted a few songs before the drying paint started stiffening up his hair. At this point, he ducked out to head home and wash up. Besides, there was still one troll missing the party, and it was time to let him in on the joke.

Covered from head to toe in gray paint, Branch returned to his bunker, where he knew he would find Cooper in a freak-out. He headed down on the elevator, calling out, "Cooper! You down here?"

Cooper poked his head around a corner, looking anxious. "Branch! You're okay!" Then he took a closer look, and his eyes widened in concern. "And you're gray! Oh, no! Is that the zombie cure? Bein' miserable!?"

"No, no, Cooper, this is just paint," Branch reassured him. "But, about the zombie thing...turns out, zombies don't eat brains... They pull pranks."

Cooper's eyes widened in understanding. "Oooh! Good one, Branch! I did not see that one coming!" He started to laugh but stopped quickly as he realized that he had been down here for hours, hiding from nothing. "Wait a second! Did I miss the Prank Day party?" he asked worriedly.

"Well, if you hurry, you might still make it for some of it."

That was good enough for him. Cooper scurried out, saying, "Later, dude!"

With his house guest gone, Branch turned his attention to more important matters—his current color palette. "Well, now that that's over with, time to get this paint off me," he said, heading for the shower.

The final event of that day happened after the party while the still-disguised DJ Suki was on her way home. Poppy jumped out of a bush, beaming, her arms above her head. "Suki!"

The sudden appearance of the troll who had set her up with five maniacs today made DJ cry out, eyes widening as she fell over backwards. "Oof! A-ah, P-Poppy... W-what are—"

"So! How'd it go with those five new boyfriends of yours?" Poppy cut her off. "Weren't they all just the greatest?"

DJ stood up, looking annoyed as she dusted herself off. "Are ya kidding me? They were the woooorst!" she whined. "What'd you go and set me up like that for, huh?"

Poppy gave her the same mischievous grin she'd been giving everyone that day. "Hmm... I don't know... 'Cause you're all just so prank-fect for each other? Huh? Get it? 'Prank-fect?'" She laughed, then said, "I crack me up."

DJ blinked as those words sank in. "...Oh... You didn't really—"

At that moment, the five stalkers in question leaped out from behind the same bush Poppy had, all looking excited. Poppy stepped aside with an amused grin. She crossed her arms and nodded.

"Surprise!" the five boys called. "Happy Prank Day, DJ Suki!"

DJ jumped, crying out, but she started laughing as it fully sank in. They weren't really obsessed with her. This was all some crazy Prank Day prank, and the five of them had been in on it all along. Once she started laughing, the other five joined in.

"Good one, Poppy!" DJ said. "You really had me goin'!"

Grinning, Poppy waved a hand dismissively as she said, "Aw, it was nothing, DJ. It was the least I could do to return the favor. I mean, after all, you tried hooking me up with both my ex-boyfriends, making it look like you guys were stalking me to do it, right?"

DJ sweat. She wondered if Poppy realized how close she was to the truth. After all, she and the others had been following both Poppy and Branch around in a rather creepy manner lately. For pity's sake, they had stuck a bug on Branch so they could listen in on his conversations! Well, at least DJ was pretty sure Poppy knew that part by now. It would be pretty hard for them to deny eavesdropping on him after what had happened on Guess and Choose Love.

"Oh... Right... My bad?" she offered with a sheepish shrug and grin.

Poppy stood there, arms crossed, looking amused. "Uh-hum... 'Your bad' for sure. But it's all good! I did get Branch back 'cause of that, so..." She started walking off, waving and adding, "Let this be a lesson to ya! Don't mess with the Prank Masters! See you later! Good night!"

The other five trolls smiled and waved after her, calling, "Good night, Queen Poppy!"

DJ blinked, her eyes wide. "...Dang." She was stunned. She knew Poppy was good at pranks, and she knew Poppy got revenge through them. She just hadn't expected anything on this level. That one was almost as bad as that time when Spruce pulled that prank on her the day before Prank Day! I should really take her advice... Messin' with the Prank Masters is such a bad call. Didn't know Branch was one of 'em, though.

At that point, DJ made a promise to herself: She was not going to go down in history as the troll who was pranked the best—or worst, depending on your view—on Prank Day. That was Spruce and always would be Spruce, as far as she was concerned. Glad that her new fans were nothing but part of a prank, she headed for home, determined to never mess with Poppy and Branch badly enough to earn such treatment again.
