I would like to thank Sarstar98, Umber, Wytheray, and all others who joined me on this adventure!

Chapter 20: Together, We Are…

Link had appeared in a vast chamber, the floor and walls blue with glowing, wavy lines within them, faintly seen in the darkness. White pillars lined the corners. "Hey!" Link was alerted to three figures lain exhausted on the floor: Flaru, Evea, and Araea. "Araea, isn't that you?!"

"That's the piece of me I sent to help the Maidens." Araea answered. "The one that contains most of my power. But it looks like 'Majora' was too strong."

"Indeed…" A pair of eyes brimmed from across the room. The demon itself stood from a throne, speaking in their calm tone. "Perhaps they are no longer fit to be the Masters of the Seasons. Their titles all belong to me now…" They pulled off the mask. "Of course, once I destroy Termina, titles and shit won't matter, anyway! Still gonna have all the power though, hahahahaha!" They turned and transformed into 'Lyara.' "That's a pretty boat you brought to my moon, Link. Would you let me try it?"

Link drew the Sword of Four Seasons. "It's over, Majora. I've already fixed all the problems you've caused. You're the only one left. Once you're gone, Termina can live-"

"Yeah yeah yeah, you're a hero." Lyara rolled her eyes. "It doesn't matter anyway, Link. If you defeat me, I'll just come back. Someone else will find me and wear me. Over and over, until the end of time. Like these Maidens, I'm a force of nature that can't be stopped. No different from you… Link."

"Sounds fine by me. The more times I kill you, the more I get to see people smile."

"What makes you think they're even smiling? After all… everyone wears masks. Everyone hides their true feelings. Perhaps some people on that planet actually love me. Perhaps you're crushing their feelings by destroying me. Some people on that world… they crave despair. They pray to me to bring darkness and destruction."

"Yeah? Well, those people are awful."

Majora ripped off the Kokiri Mask. "You're such a selfish, one-sided hero! You can't solve all the problems in the world! Those 23 masks you collected are the smallest fraction of Termina's problems! Most people are trapped in such despair that no amount of sword-swinging can fix! Your happiness and love is lost to their ears! And you would call them awful?!"

"No matter how bad their problems are, they don't deserve to have such selfish ambitions realized. The world is just as beautiful as it is dark. I'd rather have a world filled with problems than no world at all. Besides, it's not like I would be the one to solve them." Link smiled with confidence. "I'm not the only hero in the world. Good thing, because I'm seriously tired of all these quests. I just wanna cut you into pieces and call it a day."

"Yeah, well I got a problem too, boy. I've got too many unwanted guests in my room. Too many ugly FACES!"

"Huh?!" Link gasped when the Mothuking, Solrun, and Cant Masks flew from his pockets. Cant slapped onto Evea's face, Solrun onto Flaru's face, and Mothuking covered the other Araea's face and stitched the Maidens to the walls.

"You, too, Link! Stop showing me that ugly, innocent face of yours!"

"…" Link narrowed his eyes. "As you wish." He withdrew the Fierce Deity Mask and slapped it on. (Play "After Despair and Hope" from Xenoblade 2!)

Tremendous power coursed through his veins: Link grew taller, his clothes turned white, and black armor appeared on his chest. "AAAAA-AAAAAAAHHH!" His hair flashed white, red markings on his face, and he shone with the aura of the Fierce Deity. He clasped the Sword of Four Seasons as its neon colors shone and cut through the darkness.

Final boss: Masqueraded Masked Demon, "MAJORA"

Majora whipped out whips and zipped over with a spin attack, knocking Link down before wrapping him and flinging him across the vast chamber. Majora returned for the next round, but Link allowed a whip to wrap his sword. He forcefully hoisted up to swing Majora against the floor himself, then unleashed sword beams to deal severe damage. Majora flipped to recovery and whipped Link in the face so quickly that he fell back. Majora frantically flailed the whips up-and-down, but the hero performed swift side hops as he dodged his way to the demon. Link did a vertical spin attack to slice the whips to a short size, forcing Majora to stay close in order to land attacks. However, Link grabbed one of the severed whips and lashed to wrap Majora's legs and pull them off. Link leapt to deal a Fatal Blow—Majora flipped away and kicked Link across the room.

Majora took to the air and willed large ice spears to drop from the ceiling. Link dodged them without much trouble, but Majora suddenly dove at him with a Firecracker Drill, burning against Link's sword until he was forced down. Link barely recovered before a spear pierced him. Majora was about to perform the same attack, but Link grabbed his boomerang and threw it to attach a rope between a spear top and Majora's leg. Before he could escape, Link rolled against the spear to knock it down, pulling Majora down with as Link seized the chance to slash them up. "WEEE!" A burst of power shattered the spears and blew Link away. Majora wiped the air and completely blackened the chamber. However, as Link could still see himself, the chamber had actually become invisible.

The only way for Link to see was with the Lens of Truth. He evaded the ice spikeballs that fell from the ceiling, struggling to find Majora in his narrow vision. "PEEKABOO!" They suddenly shot up directly in the lens as they kicked Link in the stomach, the hero crashing in the wall. Link grit his teeth and searched for the demon again, sword ready this time. When Majora's face eclipsed his lens, Link slashed a diagonal cut, followed by a combo of merciless strikes. Majora escaped and flew to the ceiling, mustering power. They fired a laser down at Link, but by catching it through the lens, the dark laser became light, hitting the chamber floor and making it visible again.

"Neh NEH NEH, neh NEEEEH!" Majora created several giant tops and mounted on one as they began to bounce around the room, generating whirlwinds in order to stir and blow Link unstably. Link mounted the Spinner, and the Fierce Deity gave it extra power and size. He was able to focus better and could shoot the other tops with Wind Arrows, making them spin so fast that they flew up and exploded. He tried to do this with Majora's top, but the demon would spin it the other way and make it lower down. Majora willed spikes to grow from the walls as they attempted to shove Link's Spinner toward them, but the hero thrusted forward to fight back. Link won the shoving contest as Majora was impaled by spikes.

The spikes retracted as Majora leapt to the center. "The Maidens act under my whim! Crush him!" The three Maidens detached from the walls, controlled by the evil masks. Flaru performed a dance of flames as miniature Flare Dancers glided at Link. The hero quickly sniped them with Ice Arrows, and a quick shot at Flaru disabled her power. However, Evea was sending tornadoes at Link, but he dispersed them with Wind Arrows. After clearing a path toward Evea, he shot an Earth Arrow to stun the Maiden. Araea was molding an ice sphere in her hands, throwing it toward Link as it exploded, freezing a wide area of ground. Link ran from the explosion, but the possessed Maiden launched more Frost Nukes, and Link was eventually frozen by one.

Majora then flew to kick him upside the jaw, breaking Link free as he flew across the room. "Can even the Hero of Termina match the power of us Four Maidens and Majora?" The demon transformed into Lyara. Flaru and Evea recovered as the possessed Maidens aligned and began to channel power into a center. Link shared a serious look with Ayri, both clutching the Four Seasons and mustering their own surge of chi. "YAAAAAAAAH!" The Cycle of Seasons was made more powerful with the Deity's chi, the maelstrom of elements sawing around the Four Maidens. They were overwhelmed by the power, collapsing on the ground, but Link still had strength to spare.

The Fierce Deity's instrument resembled a white ocarina. The Song of Healing reverberated around the chamber, tormenting the cursed masks as they fell off the Maidens, including the Kokiri Mask off Majora. However, the demon swiftly recovered, stretching a new pair of whips and swatting Link away. The Mothuking, Solrun, and Cant Masks all rose in the air and began shooting energy spheres at Link. Majora lashed their whips, but Link sliced the whips shorter with each swing, making his way to the demon before they leapt away. Link slashed sword beams to destroy the three masks, ending the bosses that bound the Maidens for good.

Majora mustered a huge sum of ice and created an Ice Giant, equipped with a sword and shield. Majora took refuge in the chest and slashed the sword, Link matching its power with his own sword. With forceful swings, he whittled the ice blade down, then launched a Fire Arrow to melt the shield. The giant spat spikeballs rapidly, but Link side-dodged and focused on the chest. He flung the arrow, its enhanced power burning through the chest and forcing Majora out. With its chest empty, Ayri possessed the giant herself. Link shot an Ice Arrow at the sword hilt to reform the sword, and she whipped around to impale the giant blade into Majora. However, they grabbed the tip and held it back, so Link shot the sword again to extend the blade and pierce Majora.

The demon hacked blood, but endured the giant sword as they conjured two blood-covered blades of their own. Majora cut the wind and diced the sword into pieces, then completely annihilated the giant. Majora flew closer to the ground as Link slashed a beam, but a barrier protected Majora. "Neh-NEH-NEH-NEEEH, neh-NEH-NEEEEEEH!" Link found himself vibrating under dark lightning, feeling the sensation of his own face tearing. "I'm the Masked Demon, you wannabe hero! I gave you this mask and I can take it BACK!" And with that, the Fierce Deity Mask was torn off Link's face, the boy shrinking to normal. Link tried to reclaim it, but Majora struck him with an energy ball that pushed him away, and a bolt of dark lightning caused all of Link's masks to fly out of his pockets and scatter around the room.

"AAH!" Majora stomped Link under their foot, pinning him down. They raised a sword and stabbed down… but a small force of light was blocking the blade from Link's flesh. Majora frowned in confusion, and Link glanced at that spot: Vito was blocking the blade with his itty-bitty sword. Majora slashed the other sword, but Kigo appeared to block it. Ko'an's spirit appeared above Majora, clawing his talons into their head to pull them off Link. The hero flipped upright and stabbed Majora's chest. The demon burst out energy to push them all off.

Kigo was quick to grab a Shadow Arrow and shoot Majora's face, blinding them. Ko'an soared up to grab their shoulders in his talons, and Vito zipped up to slice tiny cuts on the feet, strong enough to bring them down. "Link, the masks! Get the masks back!" Ko'an yelled.

"NYUUUH!" Majora broke the spirits off him. "These masks are worthless! They deserve to die with the rest of these hapless fools! I'll end each and every one NOW!" Majora levitated to the ceiling. Tremendous energy began burning above them. Darkness enveloped the ceiling, forming a terrifying face with gritted teeth, resembling the Evil Moon.

Link looked to all the scattered masks and narrowed his eyes determinedly. He ran to grab the Mask Enguarde he earned from the Salvinskis. He got the Giant's Mask he found in the Snowcap's ruins. He got the Rich Man's Mask, from helping the Miniblin. He got the Star Chef's Hat that Koko had earned. He got the Hero's Charm for doing Puzzler's puzzles. He got the Melon Helmet, Bethana's hand-made mask. He got the Cupid Cloud, made by Louie with gratitude. He got the Picto Mask, Spree's gift to him. (Each mask plays a small version of the "Mask Get" music.)

He reclaimed the Star Glasses that Gabriel made for him. He found the Hawk Eyes that Sogard rewarded him. He grabbed the Seahorse Hood that Milana gave him. He seized the Bandit Bandanna that he took from Misko. He got the Thunder Helm that he took from Cyclos. He got the Mask of Gaebora that he earned from Kaepora (would you like to read all this again?). He picked the King's Jack that Sala made. He got the Mogma Mitts that Bronzi entrusted him with. He got the Mal Mask that Mystery Mask crafted. He got the Bubble Dreamer's Beard that Polokus had wove. He took back the Reflective Face and Chu Gel Wig. He reclaimed the Minish Cap that contained the heroic Vito, the Rito Mask that embodied the noble Ko'an, and the Yiga Mask that held the sympathetic Kigo.

At last, Link reclaimed the Fierce Deity Mask, the mask that embodied the hopes and dreams of all masks. Attaching it to his face, Link embodied the fierce warrior again. As he raised the Sword of Four Seasons, the 23 other masks gravitated around the air, leaving soft, glowing streaks. "Don't you leave us out of the party." Flaru said. The Maiden of Summer focused fiery power onto Link. "This is going to be quite delicious~"

"Araea… I'm sorry that I ever doubted you." Evea said, channeling wind unto Link. "I…I cannot forgive that traitor!"

Araea joined back with her other body. "Link… you truly are the hero that the Sheikah… That Termina has waited for. End this… for us." The Winter Maiden gave Link the rest of her power.

"…" Link drew his bow. Mixing all the elements together, his Arrow Rune gained a new function: Light. He pulled the bow back, and light brimmed on his arrow like a miniature sun. Majora had been charging their final attack while he was collecting the masks, and it was now only seconds from destroying this whole chamber.

"All these masks that I have, Majora… they are filled with happiness." As Araea's power coursed into him, the arrowhead changed: Araea's Mask, the gift she had crafted for her daughter, replaced it. "This is truly… a good happiness."

The arrow flew. Araea's Mask led the charge, ready to meet the Masked Demon. The 23 masks orbited around it, remaining perfectly aligned on its journey. The Arrow of Light struck Majora's face, and Araea's Mask forced itself on. They were unable to pull it off, its light too powerful. All the darkness Majora had mustered above them grew unstable and became sucked back into their being. "AAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE…"

Their skeleton was visible in the electrocution. Majora lowered to the ground slowly, flashing a bright purple. The demon landed, and finally, the flashing faded away. …With a mere fraction of strength left, Majora trudged forward. Link would give them no time to act: he performed a flip and pierced the top of the demon's head, the sword digging down their body. "NYAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhhhh…"

Majora's front and back split apart… and both parts faded to darkness. All that was left pierced by the sword… was a purple imp. (Play the "Song of Healing.")

The imp's mouth was wide and creepy like the form they just embodied. It had four arms, no legs, but a snowflake point sticking from its bottom. Fractals were jutting from its arms. Its body possessed the design of the mask, a dark-purple flake connecting with the arms and fake, blue and green eyes. "No… it isn't fair… I was so close…so close to becoming Majora…"

"…" Link shrank back into his human form. He withdrew the sword, studying the creature curiously. He heard a pair of soft footsteps behind him and turned: the Lunar Child wearing Majora's Mask had entered.

The boy stepped beside the imp and looked down. "You had MMade a spectacular performance… but even you were not strong enough."

"You're… the real Majora." Link glared. "Tell me… what is this creature?"

"I'm sure you know the answer already… 'Link.' Or should I call you Cherry? I bred this one with MMy blood. It is MMy child. I thought it could gain enough power to surpass even the Fierce Deity. It fueled on the darkness it had wrought upon the Terminans. But you were persistent as always. You returned happiness to Termina… and overwhelmed MMy little one. Wretched hero…"

"I guess you shouldn't have set such high expectations for them."

"Yes." Araea replied. "You're a terrible 'father' for making your child do this. If you were any decent, you would never have involved them in your insane plans."

"Tell me… Father…" The imp moaned hoarsely. "Am I unworthy… to be Majora?"

"…" The masked boy knelt down and lifted the child in his young arms. "Fail… or not fail… We are MMajora. I, Zanifr… and you, Verglora… Together, we will always be… MMajora."

Link rolled his eyes. Grabbing his Wind Waker, he conducted the Song of Healing one last time. As Majora cradled his little one in his arms, both of their bodies faded. Majora's essence returned into his mask and Verglora returned into theirs. Link could feel the two spirits falling sound asleep.

"I have no idea what's going on." Link said as he collected the masks.

You've seized Majora's and Verglora's Masks! The parent and child return to their slumber after their fun has come to an end. In spite of everything, the father is proud.

Termina

The Terminan Sea had entered a state of stability and peace. The sky was partly cloudy and the air was warm. The Bomber Pirates had ceased operating the Divine Beasts, for they could no longer feel the threat the moon posed. "…HEY!" Evan beamed.

The Santa Hylia was descending from the clouds. The ship that all had seen flying to the moon, the ship that had sparked hope in Termina, returned. Link stood proudly on the deck, raising the masks of Majora and Verglora. The glows of Flaru, Evea, and Araea were visible beside him. The sight of the hero and the three Maidens drove Termina into cheers. The Hero of Time had come again.

Link regathered the Bombers and invited them aboard the Hylia. Other citizens of Clockwork were viewing the ship with awe. The Happy Mask Salesman had come aboard as well.

"I believe these are yours?" Link asked.

"Ah…I had thought I misplaced this one." The Mask Man grinned, taking Majora's Mask. "And what a marvelously rare mask you've found for me…" He studied Verglora's Mask with emotional eyes. "I'll be sure to take good care of them…"

"IMPAAAA!" Purah cried at her elder sister. "Why didn't you let me know when the Hylia was ready for takeoff?!"

"I was informed you were busy with your own duties." Impa replied. "But now that yours and the hero's missions are accomplished… our true voyage can begin. Still, it is concerning you have not returned to your proper age."

"Oh hoh hoh!" Mask Man chortled. "You needn't worry. I can feel that spell fading as we speak. You should return to your proper age… in about a month."

"Then I only have a month to snap pics of myself in cute swimsuits?! I better get started!"

"So, you're… really going, huh, Link?" Sipha asked sadly.

"It's not gonna be the same without you." Gork said. "Unless… Do you think we could come with you?"

Link smiled. "If you guys come, who will be around to protect Termina from any more threats?"

"But we barely did anything compared to you." Nighlo replied. "You did way more than we ever did."

"Then find more people to join your crew. There are plenty of kids, plenty of people who have the power to make Termina better. There are plenty of heroes. You just need to find them."

"Are there really more heroes like you?" Madim asked.

"I'm positive. By the time I return, you'll have found plenty."

"You're coming back?" Meen asked.

"I will some day. If the Hylia can take me to my own world, I'm sure it can take me back, too. Or maybe I'll just find another portal! Either way, we will meet again. I'm sure of it!"

"Then swear a Bomber Pirates Oath!" Evan held his fist forward. "Swear that we will meet again!" Nighlo touched his wing to his, followed by Gork's rocky fist, Sipha's fin, Madim's shadowy fist, and even Avis's frosty fist. Little Meen mounted herself on Evan's knuckle, her fist forward.

"Then I swear." Link's fist met all theirs. "Bomber Pirates… we will meet again!"

"But what about… Mom?" Avis asked. The Winter Maiden shared a look with her daughter.

"Mmm… Ayri, I think this is where we part ways." Link smiled. "I would've liked to show you to my sister… but you probably want to be with your daughter, huh?"

"…I would." Araea smiled. "But I'm still bound to the Sheikah Slate. The only way I can belong to Avis… is if you delete your account."

"Delete… my account?"

"If you do this, I may still keep my memories as the Winter Maiden… but my memories of you, Mast-…Link… I fear they may vanish."

"It's okay." Evea smiled. "If that does happen, we'll remember for her."

"Yeah!" Evan declared. "We've known you just as long, right?"

"Hmm…then let's promise to meet again, Ayri." Link raised his fist.

"Yeah…" Araea smiled and touched her knuckles to his. "I hope I get to see… Hyrule some day."

"Hey, what is this mask, anyway?" Flaru asked, holding the Kokiri Mask. "This is what 'Majora' used to impersonate Lyara, right?"

"Do you think Lyara might have been a real Kokiri?" Evea asked. "If her spirit is in this mask… perhaps we may still have a Spring Maiden."

Link gasped, "Wait! What about these masks?!" He held up the Minish, Rito, and Yiga Masks. "Vito, Ko'an, Kigo… we never found a way to save them!"

"I'm terribly sorry." The Mask Man frowned. "But the spirits inside those masks… are departed ones. They cannot return to the living. If you destroy the masks, their spirits will truly be free. Otherwise, they can only exist in memory… and in our hearts."

"Sigh…so, there really isn't a way? Man…"

"We'll take them." Flaru said. "We'll bring these masks to their people and explain the truth. Maybe they can decide what to do…"

"…Yeah." Link handed Ko'an to Flaru, Kigo to Evea… and Vito to Evan. "But there's not really a Spring Maiden, anymore, so… can I trust you to do it?"

"Sure, Link." Evan smiled. "But still… if I put this on, I'll shrink, won't I? It would be pretty nice to talk to Meen eye-to-eye."

"Eeeeee!" Meen squealed. "I'm gonna give you the biggest hug ever! !"

"Haha! Just make sure to return it." Link laughed. "…Are you ready, Ayri?"

"Yes."

With slight hesitation, Link entered the Account Settings. He found the 'Delete Account' option. Deleting your account will make the Sheikah Slate claimable to someone else. Are you sure you wish to delete?

"…" Link faced Ayri one last time. She smiled and assumed the default shape from when he first found her. …Feeling a tinge in his heartstrings, Link clicked 'Yes.' Ayri faded away and the slate blacked out. "Here you go…"

He handed the slate to Avis. "Mom…" She tapped the screen and sparked it to life.

A holographic girl flipped out of the slate. She was a whitish-blue and her body was digital. She had a dress, skinny legs, blank eyes, and two large pigtails. A large earpiece was on her left ear. "Sheikah Slate activated." She spoke with a robotic voice and a static, though high-pitched tone. "Analyzing user. User appears to be: Frosolite. Age: 505. Please: provide username." A digital keypad was shown on the slate. "Username is: Avis. Please: enter name of hometown." Avis did so. "Hometown listed as: Snowcap Wastes."

"And lastly… I return this." Link presented the Sword of Four Seasons to Flaru. "It's summer now, right? I think it's time you reclaimed your title."

Flaru took the sword with gratitude. "Thanks, kid."

"Alright, gang… let's get down." Evan said. "We have crewmen to find and a lot of problems to fix. We're seriously gonna have to pull our weight to make up for all the things Link just did!"

"Aye-aye, SIR!" Sipha cheered.

"You kids better not touch my junk while I'm gone!" Purah shouted.

"Your stuff's boring anyway, Granny!" Meen yelled.

"Bomber Pirates… disembark!" (Play "Epilogue" from Wind Waker!)

The kids watched from the town pier as the Hylia rose to the sky. Link gazed down at his friends, waving for as long as he was within their eyesight. Even as he vanished above the clouds, he waved. Even as he was gone above the atmosphere, he waved. He waved to all the wonderful people of Termina. He waved farewell to this beautiful world he had come to love.

It was only after the ship had breached a dimensional rift that he stopped waving.

The Bombers had stopped waving as well. Evan turned and addressed his team. "Bombers… let's make Termina a greater place for when Link returns!"

The Great Sea

The Tetra Pirates had finally found warmer waters. The summer sun was shining, the ice melted, and the fog disappeared.

"NIKO, you get down in that ocean and FIND HIM!" Tetra shook her lesser lackey by the shirt.

"Why can't Gonzo do it?! He's the better swimmer!"

"You're Link's officer swabbie, so he's YOUR responsibility! Get down there and…"

"Um, Miss?" Zuko called from the nest.

"Did you spot something, Zuko?" Tetra faced up.

"Yeah… it's either a flying ship or a floating island."

"HUH?!"

Their tiny ship was completely eclipsed by the Santa Hylia. It roared across the sky for miles, generating a great wave as it splashed in the sea. The Tetra Pirates fell over as their ship rocked violently, washed away from the structure. Tetra pulled herself up and stared up the vessel with widened eyes. "Heeeeeeeeyyy!"

A small figure was waving to her from the deck. She recognized that cheery, innocent smile anywhere. "Lu…LINK?! ?!"

"Hiya, Captain! You look really little from up here!"

Mouth agape, Tetra began shaking with utter confusion. "Wheeeeere have yoooouuu BEEEEEEEEEEN? ? ?! ! !"

Current time

Cheren pulled the hat off his head and fell back on the bed. "Phew! Man, I'm seriously gonna miss that place."

"You can always go back." Hat Kid said. "Or go on another adventure!"

"Heh, I'm all Linked out after that. But that Verglora creature… that was definitely the Ice Newborn. That means Sanula should know where it is. Or does he…"

"Hey Bro, you still busy in here?" Chris asked, peeking in the room.

"Huh? No, I think I'm all finished." Cheren sat up.

"Heh, that's good. Panini was about to get jealous. You've been spending a lot of time with her up here~"

"Hey, it wasn't like that!" Cheren defended. "Besides, I spent more time with Araea than I did Hat Kid!"

"Haha…Araea?"

"He was reliving his past and dating his past-life girlfriend." Hat Kid joked.

"No I wasn't!"

"That name's kinda familiar, actually." Chris replied. "I feel like… I heard that name before. …Yeah, Weiss's brother mentioned it, from the party. He said their ancestor's name was Araea."

"Weiss? …So, they're descended from Avis?!"

"It looks like we have a little more research to do." Hat Kid inferred.

"Yeah… In fact, there's something else I wanted to see." Cheren placed the hat on again.

Outset Island

Aryll sat atop her Seagull Platform, viewing the distant sea. After two years, nothing was different. It was the same sea… the same islands… different seagulls flocking around her… but the same home. She was 12 years old and a bit more mature than when she last saw him. She was wearing bigger sandals and a bigger dress. Aryll had changed… but little else was different. Even she was doing the same thing: viewing the sea through her telescope, the same telescope she had once lent to Link. She searched for some sort of sign… but saw nothing.

"Caw! Caw!"

Aryll turned. A seagull was facing the mountain. She pulled her legs from the platform's edge and walked across, aiming her scope at the mountain. …There was somebody on top of it.

Aryll climbed down the ladder. She set foot on the boardwalk and rushed across. Her legs carried her up the mountain path, fighting past the trees that tried to impede her. The breeze grew heavier as she reached the top, turning around to the peak.

A boy in green stood before the gravestone, his cap flapping in the breeze. He scanned the stone's writing: Elma Miyota, beloved grandmother of two.

The boy slowly turned. A younger girl's red, skull-patterned dress blew in the breeze, as if pushing her toward him. Her blonde, pigtailed hair matched his own. …Aryll gave him a heartfelt smile. Link smiled and opened his arms. Aryll ran to meet her brother again at long last.

Making this story was a delightful treat. Like, this is my ideal Zelda game right here. A fun, colorful world, fun characters, fun puzzles, fun adventure. I can just imagine people playing this type of game for ages. Still, this is definitely hitting the books for longest story that took to complete! XD And I'm still not even done because there are quests to write! Regardless, thanks to everyone for partaking in this adventure~
