RWBY: Keep Moving Forward
Chapter 20
"Where to?" Dean asked.
"Here. Hand over the controls." Roman told him.
Doing so, Roman took his spot. "There's an operation over in Mountain Glenn. However, your stop's here." Roman opened the Bullhead's side door.
Hovering over a rooftop, Dean walked over to the door. Feeling a tap on his shoulder, Dean looked over to see Neo holding his scythe and clothes. "Oh, right." taking off his helmet and sword, Dean handed them over. Changing his shirt, he placed his scythe on his back as he turned to the open Bullhead door.
"Oh, yeah!" Roman glanced back at Dean. "Here. Cinder told me to give ya this." holding out a piece of paper, Dean took it from his hands.
It was a picture of two people outside of a warehouse. There was writing above each person's head. The left bald man was Paul Beckan. And the right black haired man was Simon Phillips.
Turning the picture over, the address to the abandoned warehouse in the photo was written across the back.
Suddenly, Neo kicked Dean out of the ship. Landing on the roof, Dean stumbled to his hands and knees, quickly getting back up and glaring back at the girl. Smiling at Dean, Neo blew a kiss at him as she winked.
"Hm." Dean watched as the Bullhead took off.
Looking at the photo once more, Dean folded it up an placed it in his pocket just as his scroll buzzed. Pulling it out, he saw a message from Neo.
Gimme a text if you want help with them ;)
Dean replied with "will do."
Putting his scroll back, Dean headed for the roof exit.
Another part of Vale, a few hours later
A light rain swarmed over Vale as a woman with dark brown hair and a pair of Lynx cat ears stumbled down the street. Her eyes were nearly closed due to exhaustion, and her clothes looked no better than herself, torn and ragged.
Approaching a building, the woman looked up at the neon sign, the letters spelling out "Junior's".
Stumbling towards the automatic doors, she walked inside. Junior stood at the bar, cleaning a glass.
"Sorry, we're closing." he put the glass down and looked to the woman. Upon seeing the state she was in, Junior rushed over to her. "My God!"
"Have you-" her strength failed as her legs buckled. Falling into Junior's arms. Kneeling down, Junior looked back at one of his men.
"Get her some water and food, you idiot!" he barked.
The man nodded and quickly did as ordered.
"You shouldn't be out like this." Junior told the woman. However, his words weren't heard as she reached into her front pocket, pulling out a picture.
"Have you..." she took a breath. "seen the boy in this picture?" she showed the picture to Junior. Upon viewing the picture, Junior saw a girl, around fifteen years old, and a boy, around ten. Looking closer at the boy, Junior recognized him.
"Who are you? And what do you want with Dean?" he asked.
"He's my son..."
