Misfit Chapter 23: "This Was Not The Plan!"

Magica kicked a golden lantern, "None of this stuff can restore shadow magic! You BETTER find something worthy in here or I'll need to make up a very good excuse for why I left my job."

Goldie murmured, "It's right here somewhere…OH! Found it!" She held a big red stone in her hands, "This can restore your powers….I think…..I mean, I'm guessing it's for shadow magic….so….what do you do, do you like eat the stone or something….so….what exactly do shadows do…..?"

Magica snorted, "Find me a big stick."

"Why?"

"Don't question me, just do!"

Goldie found a big stick on the ground, "Umm….here."

Magica rubbed her hand on the stone, "I can feel my powers growing even when I touch it! This is filled with shadow magic! Now to transfer it onto me!" She took the stone and the stick and put them next to each other. Instantly, it formed a scepter.

Magica let out an evil laugh as she picked up the scepter, magic coursing through her veins, "Yes! YESSSS! I'm back! My powers are back!" She grinned, "You might not be so useless after all."

"Thanks." Goldie rolled her emerald green eyes.

"Hmph." Magica sniffed.

"So are ye done here?" Glomgold asked, putting his hands on his hips.

"I already hacked the McDuck manor security cameras; my job's done so, byeeee! I don't know about the ladies, but I get pretty bored when I go five minutes without screens sooooo….Beaks out!" Beaks rolled out of Goldie's garage on his hover board.

It was Glomgold's turn to roll his eyes, "Fine. We're the main villains in this anyways." Glomgold smirked, turning to Magica and Goldie.

"There are no 'main villains!'" Magica made air quotes with her hands. She scoffed, "This plan of yours better work, or else!"

"It will!"

Magica smiled, "So what's next?"

"We need to kidnap the lad!" Glomgold smirked.

"And just how are we going to manage that?"

"Magic." Goldie and Glomgold both looked expectantly at Magica.

- Time Skip-

Glomgold jumped out of the window holding a big sack with Louie inside, who was squirming.

Magica touched the bag and with her magic, and Louie stopped moving.

Both of them walked into the abandoned metro station where Goldie was waiting for them, "Took you long enough."

They were at the dungeon Glomgold had built underground.

"Can it." Glomgold grumbled, setting down the bag with Louie inside. He opened it and took the boy out, noticing that he wasn't breathing, "Wait…..did you KILL HIM?! That was not the plan!" Glomgold hissed.

Magica laughed, "I wish. No. He'll wake up soon, I promise." She tied a rope around Louie.

"He better." Glomgold grumbled.

Louie groaned.

"Leave, I'll deal with the lad." Glomgold told the two ducks.

The two women walked out of the dungeon.

Goldie peeked behind the iron bars, watching as Glomgold brutally tortured the kid.

Wait…

This wasn't the deal!

"What is that moron doing to that poor child?!" An infuriated Goldie hissed under her breath.

Magica crept up from behind her, "Oh, isn't this so fun to watch?!" She giggled evilly.

And that was when Goldie realized just how much trouble she had gotten herself into.

Yikes.

Louie closed his eyes, his feathers blood-soaked, lying on the ground.

Goldie sighed, not wanting to watch anymore, "I'm going to go home."

- At Goldie's House-

Goldie remembered the image of the duckling drenched in blood, and a she rolled around in her bed.

Surely Glomgold wouldn't be that cruel and let him die?

She took out her phone and saw that Glomgold had texted her:

Okay, I just took him to the hospital.

Goldie typed:

Then why did you injure him in the first place, dummy?

Glomgold responded:

He said he wasn't going to work for us, so I may have gone a bit…overboard.

Goldie jabbed her fingers at the screen:

Darn right you did! So, what are you going to do with that amulet?

Glomgold sent her another text:

Control him.

Goldie's heart skipped a beat.

She was not going to let that happen!

Goldie rushed out of her house and into her car.

She rushed inside the abandoned metro station, but when she got there, all she found was a note. She read it aloud:

"We found him before you. The green boy is ours. Even you couldn't save him, such a pity. I don't understand why a villain like you would even have a heart for a child you want to use as a pawn. You've gone soft, Goldie O' Gilt."

Sincerely,

Magica De Spell and Flintheart Glomgold."

Goldie's heart lurched, "NOOOOO! NOOOOOO! What did I get myself into?!"

She took out her phone and saw that she had one voice message from Magica De Spell:

"Now don't you tell anyone about this, Goldie. You will be dead if you do."

Goldie put her phone in her pocket and sadly walked away.

She had gotten herself into this mess.

If only she hadn't wanted to join them…

Then Louie would be okay…

Magica wouldn't have her powers back…

Everything would be just fine.

Quite the opposite of how things were now.

"Magica you monster!" Goldie walked out of the metro station and into her car.

That poor boy…

But there was nothing she could do about it now.

That when Goldie realized that some people are like the sun.

When they're here, they can blind your eyes with how bright they are and you just wish that they would go away.

But when they're gone, you wish that they were there to make your day a little bit brighter.

People like Louie.

Goldie shook her head.

She was Goldie O' Gilt.

Goldie O' Gilt wasn't supposed to feel sorry.

She conned people on a regular basis!

Why should she care about Scrooge's dumb nephew?

"If you get close enough to someone, they start to feel like family. Right, Goldie?" Louie had told her.

Goldie sighed.

She couldn't help Louie.

There was no way.

Magica would come after her.

She just wished that there was someone who could…

Maybe, Louie had a chance…
