Chapter 21: The Sands of Time
It was night time in the Xiaolin Teample.
The Xiaolin monks stood in fighting positions, ready to facw against Jack Spicer's new robots.
"And now my squad of evil warriors, Cheer-bots attack!"Jack ordered.
A bunch of Cheer-bots appeared and landed around the five monks.
"Go, evil, go!"the Cheer-bots cheered. "Go, evil, go! Go, evil, go! Go, evil, go!"
Clay, Alice, Raimundo, Omi and Kimiko started fighting against the Cheer-bots.
Kimiko dodged the two Cheer-bots that were going to hit her.
"I love a good girl fight!"Jack admitted.
"Can it, Spicer!"Kimiko scowled.
Jack blew a whistle causing the Cheer-bots to move away from the five monks.
"These Cheer-bots are most skilled warriors."Omi stated with a smile. "And give freshly fragment."
"What is that supposed to mean for me and Kimiko?"Alice questioned.
"Nothing!"Omi assured quickly.
The Cheer-Bots went next to the walls.
"Go, evil, go!"the Cheer-bots cheered. "Go, evil, go!"
The Cheer-bots threw their pompoms into the air before dropping down like balls of fire that surrounded the five warriors in a big circle.
"Go, evil, go!"the Cheer-bots chanted as they walked forward. "Go, evil, go!
The five warriors started beating fighting and beating the Cheer-bots.
"Orb of Tornami, WATER!"Omi shouted out.
Omi used the Orb of Tornami to clear out the fire.
Jack whistled two times causing the Cheer-bots to form a pyramid.
"Xiaolin warriors assume Dragon X-Kumei Formation!"Omi ordered.
The five monks did the Dragon X-Kumei Formation.
Kimiko, Omi and Alice held onto each other as Raimundo and Clay grabbed them while charging toward the Cheer-bots.
Then...
BOOM!
A bunch of the Cheer-bots were sent flying before they crushed into the temple grounds.
"WIND!"Raimundo shouted.
Raimundo sent a gust of wind toward two of the Cheer-bots and destroyed them.
Omi sent a splash of water on three Cheer-bots causing them to explode.
Kimiko sent a fire flip to destroy a Cheer-bot.
Alice jumped on a Cheer-bot before leaping up to send snow powder to crush down on five Cheer-bots.
Clay slammed into the ground causing the floor to be lifted up and destroy four Cheer-bots that were surrounding him.
The monks successfully destroyed the Cheer-bots and stood ready to fight whatever Jack was going to send next.
Everyone looked up the sky and notice a meteor heading their way.
Clay, Alice, Raimundo, Omi and Kimiko simply moved away just as the meteor came and hit the temple ground where Jack stood.
When the smoke cleared, the five warriors walked forward and saw what landed was a big silver device.
The strange device opened and a red gem grew from the top and a hologram of a familiar person appeared.
"Greeting, Xiaolin Warriors."Old Omi greeted.
"The old one with the extremely large head looks most familiar."Omi commented.
Clay, Alice, Raimundo and Kimiko looked at Omi.
"Dude!"Raimundo replied. "That's you! But way older!"
"I am Omi from the distant future here to warn you that the world will soon be dominated by evil."Old Omi stated.
This caused Jack to cheer while Wuya flew around him in joy.
"Yes!"Jack cheered. "Go, evil! Woo hoo!"
"But fear not."Old Omi warned. "There is a way to prevent this disaster. The key to the survival of the Universe as we know it, lies in the future."
Old Omi looked at Omi.
"Omi, you must find the Sands of Time before the Sands of Time themselves run out."Old Omi admitted.
Then the hologram went off as Jack flew holding a few parts of his destroyed Cheer-bots.
"Dude, does everyone in the future talk in riddles too?"Raimundo questioned.
Omi shrugged in respond.
Inside the Xiaolin Temple...
The five monks went to see Master Fung.
"The Sands of Time is a most powerful Shen Gong Wu."Master Fung explained while holding the Ancient Scrolls. "It not only allows one to travel through time, but to alter time as well. Remember young dragons, one's fate is never sealed with the Sands of Time. It can always be changed."
The Following Morning...
Omi and company flew around the world to search for the Sands of Time.
Alice wore a beige white tunic, dark blue leggings and golden bracelets on her wrists. Her pink coloured hair was styled in two braided ponytails.
Kimiko wore a Cleopatra outfit with her black hair styled in braids with gold hair accessories and stylish sandals.
"You guys, wouldn't be a lot easier if we just waited until the Sands of Time reveal itself?"Dojo asked tiredly.
"No."Omi responded. "We have no time to lose! We can't allow Jack Spicer to find it first! The world depends on us!"
A few days past as Dojo and the monks have been travelling around the world to find the Sands of Time.
"It seems like we've been travelling around for days."Clay yawned. "I am getting more tired than..."
"A one legged man in a butt-kicking contest?"Raimundo finished.
Alice drank her lychee bubble tea in boredom since they were flying past a desert.
"You kids need your rest. How about we get a fresh start tomorrow?"Dojo suggested and began to fly down. "To fly around aimlessly looking for the Shen Gong Wu?"
Dojo began to fell asleep causing Kimiko to open his eyes.
"Dojo, don't give up on us now."Kimiko reminded.
The Dragon of Fire splashed water on Dojo's eyes causing the green dragon to wake up.
"Just five more minutes, mommy!"Dojo panicked. "I don't want to go to school!"
"No, we can not quit now."Omi stated. "Not until we find, the Sands of Time! There it is!"
The group see a pyramid with the title 'Sands of Time'.
Raimundo kicked Clay, who mumbled something in his sleep.
Dojo landed in front of the pyramid entrance and the monks went off his back.
"Now let's find this Shen Gong Wu!"Omi remarked.
The five monks went inside the pyramid and headed to the bottom floor, where everything was dark in the inside.
"We haven't looked down here yet."Kimiko commented.
Suddenly the room brightened up by the flames that appeared on the cobra statues as the group walked into the room.
"It's strange that there is no sign of Jack or Wuya yet."Alice admitted.
The five monks spotted the Sands of Time lying on a hand of a Pharaoh statue.
"Shen Gong Wu!"Dojo announced. "And not a minute too soon!"
Raimundo placed on the Jetbootsu.
"Jetbootsu!"Raimundo chanted.
The Jetbootsu activated and Raimundo flew up.
"Time to bag this Wu."Raimundo complemented and took the Sands of Time.
"And move back to the ranch."Clay chuckled.
Clay, Alice, Raimundo, Omi, Kimiko and Dojo began to walk away but got surrounded by pharaoh guards.
"What is this?"Kimiko asked.
"They must be Pharaoh's guards of evil!"Omi insisted. "Xiaolin warriors, prepare to fight!"
The five monks beat up the guards causing a door to rose up and reveal a mummy.
The mummy slammed his hand on the floor causing Omi to dodge.
"You must be very warm wrapped up when it's very hot."Omi complemented.
"Hey rags! You need some attitude adjustment!"Kimiko stated and took out the Tangle Web Comb. "Tangle Web Comb!"
Kimiko used the Tangle Web Comb to wrap up the mummy which revealed a frightened man inside the mummy suit.
A spotlight shun on the monks and Dojo.
"Stop!"A man ordered while holding a loud speaker. "Who are you, people? You ruined my show!"
"Your show?"Raimundo asked. "Who are you?"
"I am the Director of the Sands of Time."the man responded. "The longest dwelling show in Egyptian Times in Theatre History."
"I quit!"the man wearing the mummy suit snapped and walked away. "Cleaning tables is better than this!"
Raimundo threw away the fake hourglass.
"I can't believe it was a fake Shen Gong Wu."Kimiko sighed.
Suddenly Dojo began to shake and do funny poses.
"Breaking news, kids!"Dojo warned. "The real Sands of Time just revealed itself!"
The five monks and Dojo went out of the pyramid.
"Buckle your seat belts!"Dojo instructed. "It's gonna be a bumpy ride!"
Dojo tried to grow big, but ends up making his head swollen up like a balloon.
"Heh, this is embarrassing."Dojo said and looked at the group. "Sorry, kids. But I am out of whack to fly. I'm gonna need at least 10 hours to recharge."
"Not to worry."Alice assured. "I'll call my dad to get us a ride."
Alice took out her phone and called a number.
"Ciao, dad."Alice greeted. "We're in the desert and need a ride. What do you got that's fast?"
"What do you need, tesoro?"Aaron asked.
"A jet."Alice answered. "The fastest one there is."
"Let me think..."Aaron started.
A few hours later, the monks (except Omi) and Dojo were relaxing on a private jet plane.
Raimundo, Clay and Kimiko sat in separate seats while Alice sat next to Dojo.
"This is most inconvenient!"Omi complained. "We are losing time in this slow jet plane! You lose lizard!"
"I heard that."Dojo warned with a glare.
Alice shoves a bagel inside Omi's mouth to keep the young boy quiet.
"Omi, just relax and enjoy the ride."Alice instructed and ate a salmon canape. "We'll be back at the temple before you even realise."
Later that Evening...
The monks and Dojo arrived back to the Xiaolin Temple.
"The Xiaolin Temple?! Dag-nard!"Clay scoffed. "We're right smack-dab where we started!"
The group walked into the temple grounds.
"Oh that's where it was!"Dojo replied. "Rock garden, pyramid, I was close.."
Suddenly Jack rose up holding the real Sands of Time.
"Looking for this, Xiaolin Losers?"Jack asked with a smirk and flew away. "Too bad! You're outta luck and outta time!"
Jack and Wuya flew out of sight.
"It was up to me to find the Sands of Time."Omi stated sadly. "And I failed all of you! My friends, Master Fung and the entire universe! I believe that about covers it..."
Raimundo, Clay, Alice, Kimiko and Dojo quietly walked away from Omi, leaving the young dragon by himself.
Not long after, the group were hiding in a air vent, watching Jack use the Sands of Time and and show Wuya his complete team of evil-doers.
The evil boy genius had recruited Attila the Hun, Blackbeard the Pirate, Decko the Cyberman, Billy the Kid and Mrs Cornhaven (Jack's first-grade teacher).
"With my dream team of evil, nothing can stop me from collecting Shen Gong Wu!"Jack bragged. "Together we can achieve world domination! Ha! Ha! Ha!"
Attila, Blackbeard and Billy let out poor evil laughs.
"We may have to work on our evil laughs."Jack complemented.
"Jackie!"Mrs Cornhaven snapped and slammed her ruler on the desk. "Stand up straight when you speak and stop whining!"
"Mrs Cornhaven, your embarrassing me in front of my new friends."Jack groaned.
"Somebody needs a time out!"Mrs Cornhaven ordered.
Jack walked away while Wuya went next to him.
"We must get the Sands of Time!"Omi stated. "There is little time to dally our dillies!"
"Another messed up slang."Alice muttered under her breath.
"I think you mean, Dilly Dally."Raimundo corrected.
"That makes no sense!"Omi stated.
The monks came out of the air vent and landed into the room.
"We demand the Sands of Time at once!"Omi demanded. "If you please."
"Ah, we'll get to that."Jack responded. "First, I'd like you all to meet some special friends of mine."
"You don't have friends!"Kimiko reminded.
Alice snickered while Jack grumbled in respond.
"You don't have friends. Associates, whatever!"Jack answered. "Evil dream team, attack!"
The monks began fighting the evil-doers, but end up losing.
Alice groaned as she got thrown next to her friends by Attila.
"I guess this would be the part where I let out my new trademark evil laugh."Jack commented.
Jack let out a loud evil laugh, which sounded more like a mad laugh coming from a wimp.
Clay, Raimundo, Omi, Kimiko and Alice stared at Jack in disproval.
"Not so fast Spicer!"Omi answered. "He who is last to be laughing, laughs most loudly!"
Clay, Kimiko, Alice and Raimundo stood up.
"What Omi did to that sentence is what we're gonna do to you!"Raimundo admitted.
"Warriors, Dragon-X Kumei Formation!"Omi ordered.
The five monks did the Dragon-X Kumei Formation to fight the evil-doers.
Kimiko knocked out Attila.
Alice jumped forward and punched Decko hard in the face.
Raimundo took away Blackbeard's sword before throwing him on the floor.
"Take that pirate dude!"Raimundo chuckled with a smirk.
Omi used his martial art skills to destroy Mrs Cornhaven's ruler.
Clay used his rope to tie the evil-doers.
"Now that's how we take care of business!"Clay laughed. "Kung Fu Cowboy Style!"
Wuya flew up to the five evil-doers.
"You call yourselves the best!?"Wuya scowled. "You are a disgrace to evil everywhere!"
"Hey guys, where's Jack?"Kimiko asked.
Jack went in front of the five warriors.
"You mean where is Jack?"Jack responded and help up the Sands of Time. "Sands of Time!"
In a flash of gold light, Jack disappeared.
A few seconds after, Jack appeared again wearing different clothes while laughing.
"Why do you look so different?"Omi asked.
"I took a year off for some down-time and came up with the greatest super-genius evil plan ever."Jack explained. "Now I'm off to enlist the help of the number 1 villain, of them all. Sands of Time!"
Jack and the five evil-doers disappeared.
Dojo and company were flying to find the new Shen Gong Wu, the Sweet Baby Among Us.
"I'm telling you guys, ya, I sense the Sweet Baby Among Us somewhere right around here!"Dojo admitted.
Dojo landed on a cliff and the five monks went off of him before he shrunk into his smaller sizer.
"I don't know what to say."Dojo said. "Must've been a false alarm or the chilli peppers I ate last night."
Clay picked up a card that belonged to Jack Spicer.
"I don't think so."Clay admitted. "Boy, I reckon we just got to the rodeo after it closed."
"I failed to understand."Omi said. "How could Jack Spicer get here so fast?"
"Look down there!"Kimiko admitted.
Dojo brought the monks down and behind a rock to see an Old Jack leaving with the evil doers.
"It is old Jack Spicer!"Omi gasped. "Jack Spicer must have brought him back from the future!"
"No wonder they got here so fast."Kimiko added. "He must know the location of every Shen Gong Wu!"
"Well that explains everything."Alice said simply.
Omi and Dojo peeked from the truck's window to spy on Jack and his group.
"Hurry up, old timer!"Jack reminded while holding the Sweet Baby Among Us. "We gotta get the Ruby of Ramses before it reveals itself!"
Suddenly Jack's mechanical truck began to take off causing Dojo and the monks to follow after it.
"Change of plans, kids."Dojo stated before handing Raimundo the Ancient Scroll. "I guess we're going after the Ruby of Ramses. Whoever possesses it, has the power to move objects at will. I remember seeing it in the head of the Pharaoh's statue. We need to high-tail it back to Egypt!"
Raimundo, Clay, Alice, Omi and Kimiko stood in fighting poses as the spotlight shun on them.
"Have you returned to ruin my show again?"the director asked.
"We are here to retrieve the Ruby of Ramses."Omi replied. "And to purchase 5 tickets, please."
Then Jack and his group arrived inside the pyramid.
"No so fast, baldy!"Jack said with a evil smile.
"Judolette Flip, FIRE!"Kimiko yelled out.
"Typhoon Boom, WIND!"Raimundo shouted.
"Seismic Kick, EARTH!"Clay yelled out.
"Freeze Powder, ICE!"Alice shouted.
Kimiko fought Mrs Cornhaven, Clay fought Billy, Raimundo fought Blackbeard and Alice fought Decko.
Old Jack spat out his teeth in order to prevent Clay from grabbing the Ruby of Ramses.
Alice notice Omi running away while dodging Decko's metal fists.
"Omi, where are you going?"Alice questioned.
"I am off to the future!"Omi responded and took out the Shroud of Shadows. "I am getting the best weapon to fight evil everywhere! Shroud of Shadows!"
Omi runs off using the Shroud of Shadows, stealing the Sands of Time from where Jack stowed it.
"Sands of Time!"Omi chanted.
In a flash of light, the Dragon of Water disappeared.
Then Omi returns with Old Omi.
"Old Jack met Old Omi!"Omi introduced.
The two Omis touch the Ruby of Ramses at the same time as the Jacks, starting a Xiaolin Showdown Tsunami.
"Jacks! We, Omis, challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown Tsunami!"Omi challenged.
"I can find my keys."Old Jack murmured.
"Our Third Arm Sash against your Monkey Staff!"Omi said.
"Our Mantis Flip Coin against your Third Arm Sash!"Old Jack spoke up.
"First group to make it to the top of the pyramids wins!"Old Omi stated.
"Bring it on, baldies!"Jack insisted.
"Let's go, Xiaolin Showdown Tsunami!"Omi shouted.
When the showdown started, a big pyramid rises out of the ground and splits into 3 layers.
The Ruby of Ramses was floating at the top.
"Gong Yi Tanpai!"the Omis and Jacks yelled out.
The Omis and Jack begin running through the maze, searching for the portal to the next level.
Jack tried to cheat and fly through the red maze above the level, but it blows up the helipack.
The Omis encounter a mummy, which Old Omi destroys, only to find the Jacks have reached the next level.
"So long, Xiaolin Losers!"Jack laughed.
"Level 2, obtained."A voice said.
The ground started crumbling on the first level causing Old Omi to fall down.
"Third Arm Sash!"Omi chanted.
Omi used the Third Arm Sash to rush his older self before they went into the portal and make it to the second level.
The Omis and Jacks continue to search on the second layer and they both find the portal at the same time.
On the way up the portal, the Omis and Jacks were trying to push the other one off as Clay, Alice, Kimiko and Raimundo watched.
Dojo nervously bit his finger nails while watching the scene.
"Level 3, obtained."the voice stated.
On the third level, Old Omi used the Thorn of Thunderbolt to knock the Jacks out of the pyramid.
"Thorn of Thunderbolt!"Old Omi chanted.
The Omis then reached the Ruby of Ramses at the top, winning the showdown.
Clay, Alice, Kimiko and Raimundo cheered at the two Omis.
Omi smiled at his future self.
"Your bones are old, but your heart is strong."Omi remarked.
You battle like a true Xiaolin Warrior yourself. Now if you please, I must-"Old Omi started and yawned. "Nap."
Old Omi dropped his down to sleep while Omi tapped his head.
Afterwards...
The monks arrived at the temple and say good-bye to Old Omi.
"I must return to the future where I will hide the Sands of Time."Old Omi stated. "Never to be found again."
"Goodbye."Omi sobbed and hugged Old Omi. "It was most delightful getting to know you. I mean me."
Old Omi looked at Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Alice.
"It was nice to see you, my younger friends."Old Omi stated and looked at Alice. "Alice, your granddaughter is most pleased with you."
Alice blinked at what Old Omi just said.
"Huh?"Alice said in confusion.
"Sands of Time!"Old Omi chanted.
Old Omi returned to the future, taking the Sands of Time with him so that no harm will come from it's use.
"I wonder where his going to hide the Sands of Time."Kimiko said.
"I know where I would."Omi answered proudly. "I am most impressed with myself. I never thought to move there! Ha!"
