Potential Rewrite
Alright guys, sorry for uploading this little update book once again, but I have an important question to ask you, and you can either answer in the reviews, PM's or the poll on my profile page. If you can answer it, it would mean a great deal to me.
So, the question is; Should I rewrite RWBY - Determined Knight?
Now, first of all, let me say that should I rewrite it, I will keep the old version up on the site, so you can still enjoy it and find the changes that I have made for certain chapters.
The reason why I bring this up is because... well, I actually cringe when I read the old chapters that I have written. It's not that they are terrible, but I feel like I have improved on my writing greatly from when I started the fanfiction mid 2019, so I was thinking that a rewrite could be on the cards for said story. Not only that, but I can actually solidify the Harem and I can make things more... believable and have them being able to flow better. Now that I have a set ending for the story, I can make my up to it and include the characters and try and develop them I guess.
What I am trying to say is that creating new chapters for it is hard, just because I feel so... let down with the way I started out when I wrote the fanfiction. I was one of those cliche writers that always did some rather obvious things when it came to writing. I feel like I have expanded myself with not only making myself acknowledge and come to appreciate those who try things differently, but I have also learned that coming into writing with a neutral mindset really helps when it comes to this sort of thing.
Now, a major change to the story if the rewrite is inbound; Ren will no longer be female, he will stay male as I realised that having Ren a female was a mistake as the flow was off and I believe that I made the character too bland in response to that.
Also, for the Harem, I have decided on 5 girls, and the maximum that I will allow will be 8, meaning that YOU can decide the other three females that can be with the resident adorkable knight.
The Harem that is confirmed; Saphron, Terra Cotta-Arc, Pyrrha, Yang and Ruby.
Sorry if this wasn't the news that you wanted to read, but I feel like I need to let this out, as Determined Knight is by far one of my most popular fanfictions that I have written, and my very first one, so I believe that a rewrite should be on the cards to atleast update it.
However, it is all up to you to decide on that. Should RWBY - Determined Knight have a rewrite and try to make it better - unlike Jaded Harbinger which I have now found to be rather cliche and terribly rushed - or should I just leave it as it is to allow people to see the changes that I have went through.
I will wait a couple of days until I decide on what to do. So, you do have some time to get your thoughts in.
