Sergei's POV

Sergei and Johnny are putting the planks of wood onto the broken window. But as Johnny was using the hammer on it,he stops and talks to Sergei.

" I wanna know... What's going on with both of them ? " He asks,worried.

" Ah yeah... Melissa broke up with Ryan. In consequent... that gave the scene you saw. " He answered casually.

" I wonder why... "

" Now that I think about it... Jay never told me the reason... That doesn't really matter right now. Let's get those planks set soon. " Sergei sticks another wood onto the glass.

Suddenly,as they were still working,William passes next to them,seeming totally healed and carrying his backpack and his guns.

" Hey Will. " John salutes him.

" Hello buddy ! I'm busy. I have things to do in the basement... "

" Where are you going ? " Sergei asks without looking at him.

" At the basement. Where else ? "

All of a sudden,the veteran soldier gets up,turns around and asks the question again,but as a plead.

" Where are you going... Please ? "

" Fine ! I'll track that little bitch who stabbed me. "

" Come on. It's useless ! " John speaks up. " The whole place is full of fucking walkers. You will never get in there even disguised as them. "

" I have to try... I have to. "

" Why do you want so much your revenge ? "

" Actually... " He sits on an empty box on the floor,perplex. " I don't really wanna revenge. I would like to apology for the wound I did to her. "

" Why the apology ? " Sergei asks.

" I don't know. It's when I heard her voice that something... triggered in my heart. Like mercy... pity... Selflessness or I don't fucking know... "

" So ? "

" So I have to return and find her. Maybe she needs our help. "

" Yes. So that she stabs us all and kills us. " Sergei riposts pessimistly.

" Come on. At least lemme go in there alone. I don't wanna put the entire group in danger. "

" Remember the sect ! If they find you and torture you like they did to that other guy ?! "

" He's right : she probably needs help. " John insists.

Sergei stops working and thinks about it a dozen of seconds. Then he answers by getting up and throwing the hammer away.

" Fine. But I'm going with you,whatever you like it or no. "

" Alright. Just the three of us is enough. Let's not tell anyone about it. "

" Alright... Prepare yourselves. Then let's regroup to the entrance where Lars will be watching the doors. "

Sergei opens the door of his room. But as he was gonna to enter,he sees Ryan violently push Will by the shoulder. This one doesn't react angrily but stays stunned by that gesture. Then the frustrated Ryan turns around and talks to Will.

" Where are you going ?! " He says,using a darker tone.

" Well... We're gonna search for food outside... I will go with Sergei and Johnny... "

" That John ?! Are you sure three is necessary ? "

" Yes,it is ! " Sergei interferes. " Listen,Ryan. I know how you feel. So please return peacefully to your room and take some rest. If you feel eager about it,come talk to Lars. "

" I hope you will get bet... " John tries to say until to be cut short by Ryan.

" Please don't speak to me,asshole. " Ryan roars before to head inside his room and close the door behind him.

" What a dick. " Will says,now that he's gone.

" We can understand Ryan : hard to see his ex having a new love interest. " Sergei explains.

" So you telling that Melissa is in love with me ?! Interesting... "

" Right. But now isn't the moment to talk about it. Let's return to Sunrise Park. "

" Recall me what's Sunrise Park. "

" The place where you found me. " Johnny explains.

" Anyway,let's go. " Sergei,William and John go to leave the hotel with their gears.

A few minutes later...

4 : 25 PM

" Is this really necessary to wait that long ?! " Will complains quietly.

" We never know,with the walkers at the horizon. " John justifies.

" Still,that's not a fair reason. "

" Will,instead of complaining,focus on watching the incoming walkers. "

" Sorry. "

As the trio sneaks deeper into the bushes,Will suddenly spots twi walkers eating a deer next to a near tree. Will lies under the leaves while Sergei and John get closer. Sergei has his knife while Johnny holds his machete. When the timing is good,both survivors slice their opponents in a various way. Then they call William out.

After that,they are taking the same way that they took to escape the walker. After two minutes of stealth,Will quickly leads his partners behind some trees. Then he points at their destination.

" That's Sunrise Park. "

" Okay... Now what ? " John asks,ignoring the solution.

" Let me see. " While avoiding to be sees,Sergei gets his head out of the hideout to spot the same house than last time. He sees two walkers walking in front of the front door. Then he finds a third one stuck onto a tree because of a bicycle and a fourth one hanged by the right ankle onto the tree twenty feet away from the front door. He also perceives an old but functionable car with a zombie stuck on the rooftop.

" Okay I saw all of them... The plan... Me,I will take thr bicycle man. Will,take care of the hanged dude. But keep him alive,he's useful. And John,you got the machete,take care fo these fuckers. "

Sergei sneaks behind the zombie and slices the walker's throat before to plunge the knife out of the dead body. Meanwhile William plants his own knife into the zombie's skull stuck onto the tree. And finally,Johnny decapitates both walkers in front of the door.

After killing the enemies,Sergei tries to open the door,but it won't budge.

" What the hell ?! It's locked ! "

" What do you mean ? " Will asks again.

" It won't open. I don't know why... I'll try to... "

Suddenly the zombie at the rooftop yells and tries to eat our heroes. All the three of them step back and look at him. William wants to take his Desert Eagle but Sergei prevents him from doing that. Then he tries to head to the door. But at the moment the ukrainian man passes next to the car,the walker falls out of the roof and lands onto the hood of the car... which triggers the loud alarm.

The humans panick and Sergei quickly kills him with the knife. Then John breaks the window and deactivates the alarm. But it's too late,because twenty walkers are heading to the house. So Sergei decides to kick the door open. Everyone hurries to get inside while Sergei closes the door. Then he sees that it was blocked by a broom. He uses it again to lock the door.

" I wonder who put it in here. " He asks to himself.

Meanwhile,Will and John open the backdoor and instantly get out. Sergei follows them next. Then the group avails of the lack of zombies in the next street to flee into the nearest garage. After everyone gets inside,Sergei closes the door behind them. But when he turns around,he is suddenly attacked by a mysterious figure who steals his knife. He turns around and traps him against the door. But Will pleads them to stop. Then he separates them and calms everything down.

" What's wrong with you,Will ?! " Sergei questions him.

" That's her ! That's the woman we're looking for. "

" So... Were you looking for me ? " The sweet female voice asks,taking her Kaonashi mask off and revealing a cute teenager american face with blue glasses. That face seems to hypnotise totally Davey who stares at her without moving. Johnny brings him back to reality with a finger snapping.

" Sorry. But our friend here thought that you would be in trouble. "

" Yeah. We would like you to join us. To help each other. " Will purposes.

" Sorry but I'm not into groups. Not after whay happened... Anyway,that's cute to come especially for me,but you just did all of that for nothing. "

" Please,miss... "

" Call me just Dylan,now that you saw my face. "

" But Dylan isn't a girl's name. " The shy man notices.

" Haven't you known Dylan Penn ? "

" Who's that ?! " Johnny asks,puzzled.

" No matter. Now all we have to do is to get out o... "

Suddenly some walkers walk in their direction,making loud noises. Sergei orders to everyone to shut up and get down. All of them crouch for forty seconds,waiting for them to disappear. After that,they hear all of a sudden some gunfires and a young man yelling : COME HERE MOTHERFUCKERS !

That distraction has obliged all of the walkers to head to that noise and leave our survivors alone. After the groanings disappear,Sergei waits before to slowly open the door of the garage. Everyone gets out then Dylan heads to a white car and breaks the window. She was still wearing her black stealth attire with the hood but she hasn't her mask anymore.

She uses a screwdriver to pick the lock.

" What are you doing ? " Sergei asks.

" Taking that car. "

" Listen... " Will speaks up. " Join us. You will never hold on alone. "

" For now,I handled it pretty easily without you. "

" True. It's either luck or skill. "

" Anyway... You done or you wanna waste my time ? "

" Or else... " Sergei defies her.

" I will have no choice but... to dispose of you. "

" Listen,miss,we understand you're the lonely kind but think. If you have more people alongside you,you will have more chance to survive this hell. "

" Actually,I will have more chances to die instead. Groups slow me down. "

" Sometimes,we don't have to hurry. " Will advices.

" Well I prefer to go solo. It's my last words. " And after saying this,the door of the car opens and Dyman gets inside. She grabs the wheel.

" It has been a pleasure to meet you... without you pointing a gun to us. " John responds.

" Can I have my knife ? " Sergei asks before to grab it in midair.

" Look... If you change of mind,you are welcome. It's at the Morrison Hotel. You know it ? "

" I was born in Seattle. I know everything about it. " Then she puts her mask on and faces a last time William. " But it's still no. "

She closes the door and leaves the place.

" Well... What a woman. " Johnny comments.

" We tried to convince her,she failed. Can we go ? " Sergei purposes,hurried.

" Sergei,you seem to be pretty excited. What is it ? "

" Sorry but... I kinda don't trust. Her attire... It looks like what they were wearing. "

" Who ? "

" A sect we went in a few days ago. As soon as we saw the horrors,we fled. Me,Will and Lars. There was some kind of shit that I didn't think any human could do. "

" Are you sure ? "

" If you wanna go see by yourself,be my guest. "

" Anyway,what's the next stop... " Will was gonna to ask... until something attracts him. " Did you see that ? "

" What ? " John asks.

" The red family car up there. Next to the house. " He points at the red car which has his doors opened and the lights on. Sergei could see a few foods in the trunk.

" Look at this shit in the back. At least ten boxes. Enough for the group ! " Will comments.

" So what do we do ? " John asks innocently.

" We leave. " Sergei decides while heading to the exit.

" What do you mean ? " Will objects.

" What do you wanna do again ? "

" Well... Pick up the stuff. "

" Haven't you thought for a second,idiot ?! This car is already owned. If we take the food,we're gonna be monsters for them. A group of monsters who ruined their lifes. "

" Listen... Do you see anyone ? Do you hear anything suspicious ? This car has been brought by God. Look at the lights. Look at the food. Look at the state of the car. Totally intact. Imagine now that a large spotlight lights it up and the divine musics erupts. This car was made for us. Come on. "

" William... " John interferes. " Listen to Sergei. This car may be already to someone. You've probably got enough food at the hotel. Let's return please. "

Will thinks for a moment,closing his eyes. Suddenly he opens them again and heads to the car.

" Idiot ! Come back here ! "

" It has a very lot of boxes. They won't mind if we take only one. " He explains as he goes to open the trunk.

Surprisingly,it wasn't locked. So he opens and hardly lifts one of the boxes of food. Then he tries to bring it to the duo. But he lets it drop. He turns his back on his partners and tries to lift it again. But it seems very heavy with William ridiculously trying to bring the box to the air.

Sergei wonders when Davey will stop doing the prick. He tries to talk to John... When something knocks him out. He falls on the ground then nearly passes out. Before that,he sees ak unknown figure tackle Johnny to the ground and a second one pointing an assault rifle at Will who raises his hands. His vision becomes blurrier and blurrier,preventing him to perceive precisely the scene. At the end,after trying so hard to move,he closes his eyes into his pain and passes out.
