Author's Note: Okay I finally managed to update (woop)
Unfortunately I, yet again, did not have the time to edit this properly because I am very stressed right now but wanted to get this up before I have to focus on my next deadline.
This chapter is more or less a filler chapter but hopefully you'll like it anyway.
CHAPTER 21
At least Neal was safe.
That was the most important thing right now.
Of course being kidnapped by his uncle, or well at least he hoped that it was his uncle because getting kidnapped by a random stranger would actually be a lot worse, wasn't a good situation but at least he knew that his brother was safe.
The man had carried him through a break room, that was unfortunately empty, and then out on a loading dock before getting to a car that had been parked behind a dumpster.
Mozzie struggled against the man but he was way too strong and seemed to be able to anticipate Mozzie's every kick so that he could block it.
The kidnapper had managed to put some zip-ties on his wrists before throwing him on the floor of the backseat of the car.
Mozzie had been trying to learn how to escape zip-ties, he had wanted to be prepared for every situation, but had far from mastered it, and now he cursed himself for spending more time on it.
He thought about trying to get up and try to signal for the other drivers but when he looked up at the windows, he realized that they tinted which meant that they wouldn't be able to see him anyways.
The boy kept struggling against the zip-ties, hoping to accidentally find a way to loosen them but only ended up making them chafe his skin.
The car suddenly stopped and the man got out.
They couldn't have been driving for more than twenty minutes meaning they were still pretty local.
The door opened and the man gave him a big, creepy smile before he roughly grabbed him.
It looked like they were in a garage, seemingly belonging to a residential house.
It looked a normal garage with a workbench and some tools but the small windows had been blocked and the walls were covered in some sort of thick isolation to make it soundproof, which had probably been done because of the big drum-set that was placed in a corner.
The man pushed him down on a chair placed in the middle of the room, before he got a knife out of his pocket and cut the zip-ties from his wrists but the freedom was short because seconds later both his arms and legs were tied to the chair.
He finished it off by putting a dirty rag, that gave Mozzie a foul taste in his mouth, before he left the garage.
He couldn't tell exactly how long he had been sitting there, but it must have been at least an hour, before the door opened again.
This time it wasn't the kidnapper that walked through the door, instead it was a very familiar person.
It was actually a bit of a comfort to see his uncle, because at least that confirmed that this wasn't a random kidnapping.
At least now he knew the enemy and hopefully it would make it easier for Peter to find him.
"Hello Mozzie, nice to see you again."
His uncle greeted, giving him a smile that reminded Mozzie off a Disney villain.
"You know I was hoping to get the both of you, because your brother is so much more fun to play with."
Mozzie's mind replayed the time Keller locked Neal in that dark closet and he couldn't do anything but listen to him cry and scream.
The memory filled him with rage and he tried to break loose while he tried to yell at Keller.
When he bit down on the rag though more of the disgusting flavour filled his mouth and he felt like throwing up.
His uncle just looked amused before he walked over to him and got the rag out of his mouth.
"Got something to say?"
Mozzie ignored him and instead turned his head and spit on the floor next to him in an attempt to rid his mouth of the flavour.
Keller started to monologue, expressing how disappointed he was that his own nephews had sold him out and Mozzie just rolled his eyes.
"You know, I should just kill you right here and now."
He ended his monologue with and then looked at Mozzie, wanting to see the fear.
Mozzie actually didn't feel any fear because of Keller's threat.
If their uncle had wanted them dead, he could've killed them a long time ago.
Ever since they moved in with him, he had threatened that he would kill them if they became a liability, and it was safe to say that they had become just that the second they ended up at the bureau the first them.
If he had wanted them dead then the smartest thing to do was to just kill them after that and then not have to worry about them escaping again.
He could have easily sent someone to kill them now but instead he sent someone to kidnap them.
If Keller had wanted him and Neal dead then they would probably be dead by now which meant that he probably didn't want them dead at all.
Either his uncle was so twisted that he wanted them alive just to torture them or maybe he kept them alive because at the end of the day they were in fact all he had left after his beloved sister.
As crazy at it sounded, maybe there was a part of Keller who actually cared about them, even if that part was very, very, very deep down.
"Kill me then."
Mozzie said and Keller looked taken aback by this.
"Excuse me?"
"Kill me."
He challenged and his uncle looked lost for a second before he turned around and started pacing and Mozzie let out a breath of relief, it would have been real bad to be wrong of that one.
Keller stopped pacing and turned back to the kid.
"I'm going to get that little brother of yours too."
He threatened before he went on a rent, telling him every single thing he planned on doing to Neal.
It was everything from locking him in the dark for days to going as far as making Mozzie kill his own brother.
Mozzie's protective instinct was automatically activated and if he could he would've punched Keller in the face.
Just the thought of Keller ever touching as much as a hair on Neal again made him furious but he forced himself to stay calm.
He had to believe that the suit would keep his brother safe and that after his kidnapping the adults wouldn't let the four-year-old out of their sight for even a second.
Mozzie couldn't believe it but he put all his faith in the suit, and the FBI.
"Go ahead."
He said when Keller was finished with his rant and the response seemed to both surprise him and piss him off.
Neal was his weak point and Keller had been using it successfully every single time and now it didn't work and the man could not believe it.
His uncle walked over to him and for a second he thought that he was going to kill him after all but instead the man just slapped him hard across the face before forcefully placing the rag in his mouth again.
Then his uncle stomped out of the garage like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
Mozzie let out a sigh of relief, feeling that he had made it through for now.
He couldn't really say how much worse it would get though and he hoped that he would be found soon.
