Kelly practically had her in a head lock as he hugged her when she walked back into Connor's apartment. Kitty was sat on the couch looking amused.

"Don't scare me like that Fabray" He told her letting her go.

"Sorry" She said "I hope I didn't ruin your night"

"I let him know you were ok" Jay said shutting the door behind them.

"And I kept him occupied after that" Kitty added "Glad to see you're ok"

Quinn just nodded. She was ok but she was still shaken. Things had escalated way more than she had thought was possible. She never imagined that Biff would pull a gun on her. She had been scared of him, but she never knew he was that out of control.

"Connor's got a lecture saved up about going all undercover agent with only a text" Kelly told her.

"Trust me it won't happen again" She replied cracking a smile.

"Never again" Jay agreed squeezing her hand.

Kelly had picked up Chinese from the place she liked around the corner. She had changed out of her Stepford wife outfit and into some leggings and on of Jay's shirts. She felt a little bad because Kitty had invited her out, but she was just too drained to even think about going out. She just wanted a quiet uneventful night in.

Kitty said she was happy to stay in on the condition that Quinn would come to a party Travis was throwing the next night. Kitty seemed like a blend of her and Santana, so she knew not to argue.

"So how long are you here for?" She asked

"Just a few more days I think" Kitty replied "Then back to auditions and hopefully another job"

"I don't think I could cope with it" She said "I'm just happy I can go back to my now steady job with no more interruptions"

"I'm just disappointed I won't run into you in the E.D" Jay told her.

"I don't want to run into you in the hospital" She said shaking her head "No more drama for either of us"

"I'll settle for days off" He agreed pulling her against him on the couch her back to his chest.

"You two are adorable" Kitty smirked "I like this relaxed version of you Q"

"She's lucky to have me" Jay joked earning himself an elbow to the ribs making him grab his side "Ok I'm lucky"

"Oh, I know a few of her ex's you're a step up for sure" Kitty told him.

Quinn glared at her playfully. Kelly walked in carrying their dinner and Connor walked in behind him. Quinn jumped up to hug her stepbrother. She knew he would be mad at her, but she was really happy to see him.

"I'm glad you're ok" He told her hugging her tightly.

She wiped a tear from her eye feeling the emotions of the day hit her. She was home with everyone she cared about and felt safe for the first time in weeks.

"I thought you didn't get emotional" He teased her.

"I know" She laughed "I'm obviously losing my edge"

"I don't know about that" He said "That ice queen still pops up when needed"

Quinn rolled her eyes and sat down to eat. She introduced Connor to Kitty and he filled her in on things at the hospital. Apparently, the bomb of Biff being arrested hadn't dropped yet so there was still that to look forward to. Sharon had told her to take a few days and start back next week. Part of her didn't want that but she knew it was probably still for the best. She was sure there would be a court case and she didn't want to be there when the gossip started to circulate. She'd had a gun pointed at her and as much as she was enjoying sitting with her friends and family, she needed a little bit of time to process it all.

"Are you back on shift tomorrow?" She asked Kelly.

"I've taken some time off" He replied "I've got a lot of days saved up and Travis asked me to go travelling with him"

Quinn held back from giving her opinion. Travis wasn't a good guy in her eyes, but she'd only met him once.

"What is it?" He asked "You're giving me that look"

"What look?" She asked.

"Pursed lips, furrowed brow, I have an opinion and I'm not happy look" Jay replied.

"That's the one" Kelly agreed.

"Loopy Quinn" Connor added "Occasionally followed by a full diva rant or slap"

Quinn rolled her eyes and sighed.

"I just don't trust him" She shrugged "but you know him better than I do"

"My girlfriends all really like him" Kitty reassured her "Maybe tomorrow you'll get a better idea"

"Sure" She said with a smile not wanting to talk about it anymore "I want to hear more about your night"

"It was a fun time" Kelly replied with a smile his eyes crinkling slightly.

Quinn knew Kelly was there for a fun time not a long time and Kitty was her friend. But Kitty was only passing through, so she didn't need to worry about any broken hearts. She was glad they were both having a good time.

They enjoyed the rest of the night together, but Quinn was so ready for an early night. Jay decided to stay with her again.

"It's not even 10" She told him "You don't have to come to bed yet"

"I'm not leaving" He told her as he got under the sheets with her.

"I'm glad you're here" she said as she snuggled up against him resting her head on his chest.

Things were starting to feel normal again. She had really missed him, and he had shown her today that he could really be there for her. Even if it was just sitting with her friends and family. He made her happy. She was feeling hopeful that they could keep moving forward.
