Soon enough, Newt had finished dusting the rest of Minerva's house. In that time, Minerva decided to clean up as much of her destroyed books as she could. When Newt had finished dusting, he began vacuuming the house. His ears were buried into themselves and he cringed as the machine wailed its loud noises. Sheela did the same. Being dogs, they never liked vacuum cleaners. Minerva however, didn't seem to notice, as she was seated on the couch reading a fashion magazine. She had changed out of her jogging clothes into a lime green t-shirt and light blue jeans.

"Rrrrgh, that noise." Sheela thought to herself. "My brother had better be done with it soon. I cannot think with that deafening racket assaulting my eardrums." She opened her eye and noticed Newt was pushing the vacuum along the floor towards her hiding spot. She noticed what appeared to be a knob on the front of the vacuum head. Focusing her eyes on the knob, she saw that it appeared to have writing around it. The words read "Low, Medium, High". Staring for a moment, Sheela then got another idea, her face gaining an evil expression.

"Of course." She thought to herself. "I will use that mink's own vacuum cleaner against my brother. All I have to do is adjust the suction, and that mink will think that Newt ruined her carpet. Get ready, Newt. Your time in this house runs short." Newt continued to vacuum, continuing to cringe at the noise the vacuum was making as it performed its function. He pushed it closer and closer to the couch where Sheela was hiding. As soon as it was close enough to her, Sheela reached out and grabbed the knob on the vacuum. She quickly twisted the knob over to the high setting, and the vacuum began to pull harder against the carpet. Sheela continued to smile evilly as the vacuum's suction power increased. However, the smile was soon wiped from her face at what happened next. The carpet's suction power had increased so exponentially that it practically began sucking the carpet up. In the blink of an eye, all the carpet, and Sheela, disappeared into the vacuum cleaner.

Newt, feeling the carpet rapidly moving under his feet, opened his eyes in confusion and looked down. That was when he noticed that the floor was suddenly quite bare. His eyes bulged a bit in both confusion and shock. He wasn't the only one who noticed either. Minerva had looked up from reading her magazine to look at Newt, and saw her whole carpet vanish into the vacuum cleaner in an instant. She stared at her now bare floor, then she looked back up at Newt. Feeling a pair of eyes on him, Newt looked back up, and his eyes bulged even more, this time in fear, seeing Minerva staring back at him with a look of disapproval.

"Newt?" Minerva said, sounding displeased. She then got up off the couch and started walking towards Newt, who was now shaking and sweating in fear. Minerva reached out and pushed a button on the vacuum cleaner, shutting it off. Then she put her hands on her head and continued to stare at Newt. Newt could only stare in fear at Minerva, afraid of what she might say.

To his surprise, Minerva smiled. "Thanks for getting rid of that old carpet." She said. Newt's fear was replaced with surprise and confusion. "I've been thinking of getting a new one for some time now. That colour was starting to get kinda old. Now that it's gone, half the work is already done." She then leaned down and brought her hand up to cup his face. Newt's face became hotter as a result. "Plus, it seems you've reduced your workload for the day, since there isn't any more carpet to vacuum." She said. Newt felt even hotter. "Guess that means you have a little more time to do something else today. I hope I'm not left out of it." Newt got a big goofy smile on his face at this, his body went straight and rigid, and he fell back onto the floor. Minerva looked down at him, smiling.

However, she then leaned down to right him back up. "But for now." She said, her voice losing its flirtatiousness. "You still have work to do. So hop to it." Newt snapped out of his trance, his body losing its rigidity and his face returning to normal. He immediately began shaking his head back into reality, then saluted with a serious look on his face.

"At once, Minerva." He said. With that, he turned to the vacuum and shut it off. He wheeled it back into the closet and detached the vacuum bag, the contents of which he emptied into a garbage bag in the kitchen.

"Well," Sheela's voice said from inside the garbage can. "That could have gone a lot worse for me. But for now, it looks like I will have to once again devise a plan to get my brother evicted from this mink's house."Sheela then poked her head out of the garbage can, slithered out of it, and sneaked away without anyone noticing.
