It had been several days afterKylee had testified against her foster parents that she had found herself going to family court so that she could find out what was going to happen to her and whether a new foster home had officially been found for her or not. During these few days that she had remained in the group home with the other kids who had become her friends throughout the entire time that she had been dealing with certain things it had seemed that Kylee could not stop thinking about everything that had happened to Jerimiah and his wife throughout their trial. She knew that Jerimiah was blaming her for everything that had been happening but she was seriously getting to the point where she just did not care. He was the reason that she had found herself going to the police when she had finally managed to convince her foster mother to let her spend time with her friends so that she could actually find her way to the police station where she knew Olivia would be working. Kylee knew that Olivia had worked tirelessly throughout the entire time to make sure that Kylee was kept safe from her foster parents who had eventually found themselves being locked up in a jail cell. Now Kylee was finding herself dealing with something that was entirely different and she was also having to deal with the fact that her social worker had changed right from the moment that Jerimiah had been arrested along with his wife and the woman that had been her social worker from the very beginning.
Kylee had heard so many different stories and rumors about the things that had taken place when her social worker had been arrested, but she really had not been sure if you could believe the things that were being said about this woman at that time. Some of the kids that were in the group home with her had told her the scariest stories imaginable about the woman that had been her social worker and yet there had been something that had told Kylee that they were only attempting to frighten her because she had been the new kid. Nobody there had realized that she had been placed in this group home the first night that she had learned that her parents had died and had only been brought back after her foster parents had found themselves getting into trouble for the different things that they had done in the amount of time that Kylee had been living with them.
The thought of moving into a new foster home after the trial and after everything that she had been going through had been something else that Kylee was dealing with and she was pretty sure that there had been other kids that were in the group home that would be able to understand about everything that Kylee was currently thinking about. Kylee had not met her new foster parents the way that she normally would have if she had been abruptly taken from her last foster home because things had not exactly worked out or because something had happened that had caused some of the problems that her social worker had eventually found out about at the weirdest moments. She had actually ended up meeting Mr. and Mrs. Anderson on the day that she had arrived at the court house for the hearing that was supposed to be taking place. For several months Kylee had been telling people that she had wanted to start living the life of a normal kid again, but that had seemed to be something that was a virtual impossibility because of the things that had been taking place for the longest time. Kylee had often found herself wondering if Jerimiah and his wife had really been as bad as she had made it seem like they were and if any of these things would have happened if Jerimiah had not found himself being arrested after Kylee had talked to the police about the things that had been going on when she had been in that particular foster home. Either way, Kylee had been hoping that this would be the last foster home that she would be placed in and that everything would soon return to normal for her once she had been brought to her new home.
Emily Anderson had known that Kylee had been going through quite a lot when it came to the trial and the fact that she had been forced to testify against the people that had been taking care of her practically from the very beginning. She could only imagine what a young child would be going through during a time when everything had seemed to be so serious and yet at the same time she could almost see Kylee as an adult having to deal with some of these very same things and possibly helping another young girl get away from the terrible nightmare that Kylee had been forced to live through for the longest time. Throughout the entire time that Emily had been watching Kylee she had found herself thinking about what would have taken place if Kylee had been able to grow up in very much the same way that Emily had over the years. She had known that this was something that she had never talked about before, not even with her closest friends, but at the same time she had found herself thinking of different ways that she could get Kylee to trust her and know that she would not have to worry about the terrible things that had happened so many years early when she had first learned that her parents were dead and she would be expected to live in the same house as Jerimiah, a man that had been her father's best friend for quite some time.
Even though Emily and her husband Billy had been watching Kylee rather closely during the trial there had been a few times that Emily had found herself wanting to talk to Kylee and tell her that everything was going to be okay no matter how bad things might have seemed throughout that entire time. Billy, however, had convinced Emily that it would be for the best if they had let things go until after the trial had taken place. When Kylee had gotten to the court house for the hearing she had never thought that she would ever have the opportunity to have a better life even if it was something that really would not be lasting long once Emily had found out about the real reason that Kylee had turned to the police about the things that had been taking place. If Kylee had been honest with herself during that time she would have admitted that she had not exactly trusted Emily and Billy from the moment that she had met them, but it was becoming obvious that she had never exactly had a choice in the matter if she was hoping to get out of the group home where she had been living.
For several days after Kylee had moved into the same house as Billy and Emily it had seemed that she could never stop thinking about her friends and the real reason that she had been in the group home. As much as Kylee had wanted to talk about these things it had seemed that there had always been reasons that Kylee had kept quiet, especially with the way that she had felt about Billy and Emily and whether they could really be trusted with her deepest, darkest secrets. Kylee had known that there were different reasons that Emily had seemed to think that she should be trusted whenever it came to a few of the things that Kylee had been dealing with, but in the end Emily and Billy had both seemed to realize that it was something that was completely up to Kylee and the way she had felt about the things that were eventually taking place.
When Kylee had started attending the school that was close to where she was currently living she had started feeling even more nervous about everything because for the first time in a while she was finding herself having to make the attempt to make a few new friends. She had no idea just what would happen if any of these kids had asked her about the reason that she was staying with Billy and Emily instead of living with her own parents, but she knew deep down if any of these kids had found out about the things that had happened in her past that they would definitely end up treating her differently. Kylee would be the first one to admit during that time that it had become difficult for her to make new friends but she knew that this was something that would hopefully help her deal with the fact that she was going to be bounced from one home to another for quite a while. She knew that ever since the last foster home that she had been in that people were often seeing her as a trouble maker of some kind but there really had been nothing else that she could do about the situation, especially if it had turned out that Billy and Emily would make her go through some of those terrible things that her previous family had put her through during the time that she had been living with them. Kylee would never have admitted it to her new foster family no matter how much they might have been asking her about it but there was definitely a part of her that was wishing that she could have convinced the cop that had rescued her to become her foster mother the way that she had heard she had done when it came to the little boy that was her son. That did not happen, however, and now Kylee was stuck in yet another foster home that she had felt she would eventually end up running away from because things were not exactly working out the way that they should have been throughout that entire time.

After the trial had been over for several days Olivia and Amanda had found themselves planning and scheduling another play date for Jessie and Noah so that they could make every attempt to forget about the things that had been taking place throughout the week. The fact both kids had seemed to be wanting to spend time together during that time was something that had always made things better but at the same time neither one of them had seemed to really understand the reason that their parents just would not admit that they had looked forward to these play dates almost as much as their kids had been for quite some time. Amanda had noticed that whenever she was home with Jessie that it had seemed that her daughter was always asking about the next time that she would be able to spend time with Noah and whenever Amanda had tried to explain to her young daughter about these things it had seemed that she was always finding ways of pitching a fit thinking that it would eventually get her everything that she had wanted. Amanda had not been sure how bad things had gotten for Olivia when it came to Noah and the amount of time that he had wanted to spend with Jessie, but the one thing that she knew for certain was that it was becoming increasingly difficult to make sure that certain things had been happening without members of IAB finding out just how they had honestly felt about each other and causing all kinds of trouble over it because of the rules that each officer at the precinct had found themselves dealing with for the longest time. Either way it had seemed that both women were determined to plan these play dates so that they could eventually spend time together, especially after they had finally admitted the truth to each other during the last play date that their children had been having together knowing that soon there would be a time when Olivia would be searching for a bigger place and hopefully would take that step where she would be asking Amanda about moving in with Jessie, but until that happened both women knew that they would have to make sure that nobody found out about everything that was happening during the times that Amanda would be spending time in the apartment that Olivia had been living in for quite a while. They had both wanted to make sure that neither one would be transferred out of the unit or out of the precinct and the best way for that to happen was if their current relationship had been kept a secret. If someone had learned about the things that had taken place during the play date and sleepover that they had given the kids during that weekend weeks earlier then they would figure out a way to deal with everything then but until then they would stay quiet about everything and make the attempt to act as if nothing had really changed between them since the day that they had started getting closer and spending time together for the sake of their two wonderful children.
