A/N: Hey, guys! Welcome to the finale of this fanfic! In the previous chapter, Star Fox defeated Star Wolf and Fox went up against Andross alone, winning! Now it's time to go home! Let's begin!

The Star Fox team checked the area around the Great Fox for a couple of days to make sure there were no enemies. There was no one.

''There are no traces of Andross' army. I guess since we defeated him, his followers retreated. After all, we won the war.'' said Slippy.

"This means there is no danger." Fox concluded.

''Yes, it could be. We don't know if they'll come back, though.'' said Peppy.

The days passed without anything special happening. Fox and Falco began to get bored, and Slippy wanted to go home as soon as possible.

''I'm bored!'' said the fox.

''It's been ten days since we left Venom, and we haven't even reached Katina, that is, we're only halfway there! What is more, I've had enough of canned food, we have been settling with this for a month and a half, and I am hungry!'' cried Slippy.

''That is?'' asked Falco.

''When we go back to Corneria, I would like to eat something more sophisticated instead of eating from cans again. It doesn't seem very normal to always eat frozen or canned food.'' replied the bullfrog, feeling his stomach growl.

''No offense, Slippy, but do you think it's time to think about food?'' asked Peppy, but his stomach started to growl too. The rabbit laughed because of the timing in which it happened. ''Nevermind. You're right, it's been a long time since we last had a decent meal, and I should really get some lunch. Do you have any ideas?''

''Well, I was reading this magazine, and I heard that they have recently opened a new acquarium park in Corneria where they also need food. Among these dishes, there is also the crab. What do you think about some fried crab?(1)'' asked Slippy.

''Sure, I'd like to.'' Fox replied. As with Peppy and Slippy, he felt his belly growl. ''I'm getting hungry. Guess I should put something in my stomach.''

''Yeah, why not? I'm starving.'' said Falco, who was also hungry.

Peppy opened the refrigerator and saw that there were hundreds of cans, but he also found some fish. ''There is some leftover fish. I'd say this will be our lunch.'' he said, and everyone started eating.

''At last, it's over.'' said Slippy.

''Good thing we won the war. Fox, you should have seen our faces when you were trapped. Peppy was so anxious that he pulled his ears, and I swear, he pulled them so hard that he could have pulled them off. I didn't want to believe you were dead, but when I saw Peppy crying, and Slippy, inconsolable in his arms, this made me think it was true, and it made me feel bad for them. '' said Falco.

''I really thought I lost you, Fox. You had already risked dying many times.'' said Peppy, thinking about what happened shortly after Andross' defeat. At the time of the explosion, he really thought he had lost the young fox he considered as the son he never had.

''Don't worry. An explosion wouldn't make me give up.'' replied the young leader.

''Yes, it's true, but Peppy is right. We don't want to lose you, and you almost died several times.'' Slippy replied.

The four could not do much, just waiting.

A week passed. ''ROB, how much more is left?'' asked Fox.

''We are ready for landing. We will reach the surface in ten minutes.'' ROB replied.

''All right. Thanks.''

The Great Fox had now reached the planet's atmosphere, and after a few minutes, the Star Fox got off the mother ship, but as soon as they returned to land, they heard sirens, certainly those of a police car, and saw two in front of the bank.

''What's going on?'' Peppy asked.

Falcosaw a pig beside the bank with bags of money in his hand. ''It looks like the bank has been robbed.'' he said.

''Guys, if this is Pigma, we have to bring him to justice.'' said the young fox.

The pig turned, and turned out to be Pigma. '' Do you have to get in my way?'' he questioned.

''I knew it!'' Fox exclaimed.

''We have had enough of you, you scoundrel!'' shouted Falco.

''We will bring you to justice as we defeated Andross!'' shouted Peppy.

''YOU MANIAC!'' yelled Slippy.

''Really? Have it your way then. Like this, it'll be more fun to take you out.'' said Pigma, pulling out a minigun and opening fire.

The four members of Star Fox dodged the shots and pulled out their respective blasters.

''We can't let him free! I have a rope in my pocket, but I can't do much now.'' said Slippy.

''Okay, Slippy. When the time is right, tie him up and he can't escape us.'' Fox replied.

Pigma was clearly slower than his opponents, but he had a more powerful arsenal. Fox held him back, allowing Falco to hit him with his wings and two side kicks, then hit him with his elbow, but the pig broke free and hit him in the head with the handle of the weapon and knocked him on the ground with a kick, then he punched him in the face and stomped him on the chest. He was about to shoot him when Peppy, with a holler, lunged at him, disarming him, and shot him with his blaster, followed by a punch on the nose.

''Stay away from him, you dirty pork!'' he yelled angrily.

Fox joined Peppy, hitting Pigma with repeated punches in the head and together, they hit him with a powerful kick on the chest. ''You took my biological father away from me! And then you almost killed my second father on Fichina!'' he yelled.

''We'll get you thrown in jail!'' cried Falco. He then turned to Fox. ''Make him pay for all of us, Fox!''

The young fox did so, shooting and hitting physically, assisted by the others, closing Pigma in a corner. ''What do you think you are doing now? Get me beaten up by that idiot of a frog?'' Asked the pig, with a taunt.

''You! You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!(2)'' screamed a furious Slippy, running towards Pigma and punching him hard in the face, followed by other kicks and punches one more powerful than the other, then took his rope and tied him like a hog, to the point in whose the rope also covered his mouth. ''There we go.''

Pigma was put into a police car and arrested.

''You were great, Slippy. Great job.'' said Fox.

''You're scary when you're angry, you know? Brilliant, but scary.'' said Falco.

''I agree. Good job. Pigma deserved to be arrested. Let's go find the others.'' said Peppy.

Shortly thereafter, they heard voices and saw two people in the distance. They were Beltino and his brother.

''Look, Beltino! They're back!'' said Grippy.

''Dad! Uncle Grippy!'' cried Slippy, running quickly to his father and uncle and hugging them tightly.

''Slippy, my boy! You came back!'' exclaimed Beltino, full of happiness.

''Fox, Falco, Peppy, thank you for taking care of Slippy.'' said Grippy.

''Don't mention it. We are his friends.'' replied Fox.

''I missed you guys.'' said Slippy, with tears in his eyes.

''We missed you too, dear nephew. We were always a little worried about you, and it's a relief to see that you're okay.'' said Grippy, still holding his nephew in his arms.

''Oh, Slippy, I can't believe you made it. You and your friends have defeated Andross, and thanks to you, the war is won. Your uncle and I are very proud of you, my son.'' said Beltino, embracing his son tighter.

''Thanks, Dad.'' said Slippy.

Peppy smiled. ''Ah, the happiness of seeing your loved ones again. I wonder if my wife and my daughter know we won the war.'' he said.

''General Pepper let everyone know, so I'm sure they know.'' Slippy replied.

''Look, Fox!'' said Falco, seeing someone else in the distance. It was Bill, who ran to Fox and gave him a quick hug.

''I knew you weren't dead, Fox!'' he exclaimed, overjoyed.

''Of course I'm fine, Bill. Did you honestly thought I'd end up dead?'' Asked the fox.

''No, but I couldn't believe what I saw.'' replied the dog. ''General Pepper is waiting for you and your friends. Reach him in the main base, you will also find the other members of the Cornerian Army. See you shortly.'' Bill ran off, heading for the base. Shortly thereafter, Fox and the others reached the place and entered.

In the base, were all the Dog Soldiers, who saluted the Star Fox team, who walked forward until they were directly in front of General Pepper. ''Star Fox, you did it. We are in your debt, and I would be honored if you would take part of the Cornerian Army.'' said the General.

''No thanks. We refuse the offer, we prefer doing things our own way.'' replied Fox, who then turned to his friends. ''What do you guys think?''

''We agree with you, Fox.'' said Peppy.

''I understand. I respect your decision. I didn't expect this mission to be a success, not after what happened two years ago.'' replied the dog.

''What matters is that we won the Lylat Wars.'' said Fox. '' If the Lylat System needs us, we will be available to help, I promise. Now it's time for pay.''

General Pepper received the document indicating the invoice for the Star Fox team, but he was so horrified that he spit out the hot coffee he was drinking. Unfortunately, there were the others in front of him, and he accidentally spit the coffee in Peppy's face. ''Aaaaahhhhh! Hot!'' shouted the veteran, feeling the coffee in his eye. ''What ?!'' exclaimed the General, realizing that the sum of money to pay was over $ 100,000.

''Are you okay, Peppy?!'' Fox exclaimed.

''Ouch. It's not good at all when someone spits hot coffee in your face, especially if they spit it in your eye.'' muttered Slippy.

General Pepper realized that he had accidentally spit hot coffee on his old friend. ''Oh my goodness!'' he exclaimed worriedly. ''I'm sorry, Peppy. You're okay, aren't you?''

''I'm fine, Pepper. I just had something in my eye.'' said the rabbit.

Fox signed the document and stamped it, then received the money. ''It's time for us to go now.'' he said, and after a brief salute, he left with his teammates.

The next day, at sunset, Fox was at the town's cemetery, sitting in front of his father's grave. He had succeeded where his father had failed, defeated Andross and saved the Lylat System. He thought about him, and how his spirit had helped him escape. Was it really a hallucination? It seemed real to him, except it wasn't.

Peppy came up to him, followed by Slippy and Falco, and put an arm around his shoulder. ''Hey, Fox. Thinking about your father?'' He asked.

''Yeah. I come here every day at sunset to think in front of my father's grave, and I was thinking about what happened when I ran away from Andross' lair. I don't even know how I survived, but it seemed to me that my father's spirit was guiding me.'' replied the young fox.

''Apparently, he never really left you.'' said Falco.

''If only your father knew about your achievements...'' murmured Peppy.

''He knows. He also knows you're taking care of me, Peppy, and he's glad to hear that you've kept the promise you made to him.'' said Fox.

''Then I'm sure he's very proud of you. And so am I.'' said the rabbit.

''We are always by your side, Fox. If your dad can't take care of you, then we'll do it.'' said Slippy.

''Thanks, guys. I couldn't have done it without you. You're the best friends I could ever have.'' said Fox, as he hugged his friends.

"It won't be the only time we protect the Lylat System, right?'' asked Slippy.

''I doubt it. We will receive more missions.'' said Falco.

''If the Lylat System needs us, we'll be here.'' said Fox, and everyone saluted.

Almost twenty five years after the release of Star Fox 64, we still associate to you the quote ''Do a barrel roll!'', a meme so famous that Google does it too. Thanks for everything and goodbye. Anyway, guys, among the ideas I have for new fanfics, I have one about Super Adventure Rockman, a game in the Mega Man series (Rockman is the Japanese name for Mega Man). Unfortunately, the game is only in Japanese, I don't know this language and although there is a video with English subtitles, it's not very reliable. If you know the game and understand both Japanese and English, you could help me with the script. In the initial part, Fox was bored and Slippy was fed up with the canned food, given that the team was returning to Corneria from a flight of about ten days from Sauria, and this is a reference to the conversation between Slippy, Fox and Falco before Peppy cut them off.
