The team stood in the bridge, and Shiro turns to Coran. "Coran, how soon will we get to the Blade of Marmora's base?"

"Based on the coordinates that Ulaz gave us, we should be there within a few doboshes."

Pidge was getting excited. "I can't wait to see it!" She looks up at Hunk. "I mean, they were able to fold space-time, and that was just at an outpost!"

Hunk's stomach grumbles, making him pat it. "Mm, the space taco. It left us too soon."

Pidge's eyes slid to him, giving him a suspicious look. "Well, sure, but my point is, imagine how amazing their home base will be!"

Hunk started drooling. "Exactily. It could take on any shape. Like a space jelly donut. Or long, like a space éclair. Or a space cheese blintz with a cherry sauce on top. Maybe a little dusting of powdered sugar. That's the stars."

Lance turned to the two. "Aw! Now I'm hungry for breakfast!"

Keith leaned forward in his chair. "Guys, this is a serious mission. We need to focus."

Lance screwed up his face. "We need to focus." He mocked with sarcasm.

Celestia smacked him upside the head.

"Ouch!" He cried, rubbing the back of his head.

Coran's voice had everyone turn in his direction. "The base is in range."

Shiro turned to fully face the front. "Take us in slowly."

"That might prove the tiniest bit of a challenge."

Hunk stared. "Is that a black hole?"

"No. It's two black holes and a giant blue star!" Coran answered with a shake of his head.

Hunk frowned. "That's not better!"

"No kidding. Just inside a black hole, the temperature is one millionth of a degree above absolute zero. But, just outside of that, it's hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius." Pidge replied.

Hunk suddenly grinned as his eyes brightened. "Ok, it's like when you try to nuke a frozen burrito in the microwave, and it comes out all scorching hot on the outside, but it's still frozen in the middle, right?"

Lance turned to them again. "Now I'm hungry for lunch!"

Keith jumped form his station, his irritation growing more and more as he looked at the three. "Guys, quiet!" Then in a more calmer sorta way, he addressed the Altean man. "Coran, where's the base located?"

The main computer zoomed in on the headquarters, hidden between the black holes and the star. "In between those three deadly celestial objects."

Celestia folds her arms as she stared at the screen. "The perfect defensive position." She said very impressed with the base's location.

Allura had to add her two cents. "Or the perfect trap."

Celestia turned to her. "I have had enough of your comments!"

Allura turned to her, her voice hard. "Need I remind you."-

"I'm with Allura!" Hunk's voice cut through before the argument could escalate, both Princesses turned to him as he ads. "Maybe we shouldn't, like, go in there at all?"

Keith finally blew. "What are you talking about? We have to go in! This is the whole reason we came out here! There is no other option!"

Everyone looked at him, and Lance held up his hands out in front of him. "Ok. Jeez. Calm down!"

Keith turned away, frowning.

Celestia started to say something, but a message from a different language flashed onto the main screen, and a female's computerized voice comes through the speakers.

"Identify yourself."

Shiro turns to Coran. "Open a hailing frequency, Coran." With a nod, the Altean's panel beeped giving the signal. "We are the Paladins of Voltron, sent here by Ulaz."

No response and time seemed to go by, and tension was very thick. Finally the computer beeped and the same computerized voice came back. "Two may enter. Come unarmed."

Allura's eyes hardened. "Why would they insist we come unarmed? Shiro, this doesn't feel right."

Shiro never turned around. "We've come too far to turn back now."

Coran stared at his console. "They just sent us a route to the base, but we'll have to move quickly. Because of the solar flares, it's only open for another varga. Then it will be closed for two quintants."

The team watched as the castle's screen highlights a path, then shows a blinking icon on the top.

Hunk's eyes grew. "They're gonna close it for two years?"

Celestia turned to him, her left hand on her hip. "Two days."

"Oh."

Lance smirked as he turned to Shiro, who approached Keith. "So, any thoughts on who's gonna join you on this little mission?" He grabbed his chin. "I'm thinking things might get a little hot, so you're gonna want someone who can stay cool." He lowers his arms and puffs out his chest.

Shio never hesitated. "You're right. Keith, you're coming with me."

"Wha?- Keith's a hothead! He's probably going to shoot first and ask questions later!" Lance leaned closer, sticking his face in the Black Paladin's face. "And they're not gonna be able to answer his questions because they'll be dead!"

Shiro placed his hands on Lance's shoulders, and pushed him out of his face. We haven't yet severed Zarkon's link with the Black Lion, so it has to stay here. And the Red Lion can withstand the heat from that sun. So, yes, it'll be Keith."

"The course to the base will be quite treacherous, to say the least. You're walking a razor's edge between the gravitational pull of the black holes and the sun. One false move, and you'll either be crushed into infinity or burnt to a crisp." Coran tells them.

Out in the hall, Celestia grabs Keith's hand and he turns to her. "Be safe, and both of you come back safely."

"We will." He looks around, then kissed her cheek. "Wish us luck." With that he turns and runs off after Shiro.

When she turns around she finds Hunk, Pidge and Lance poking their heads out from the door frame of the bridge. Hunk and Pidge zoomed back into the bridge, while Lance just stood there.

"Why the Mullet!?" He wined, pointing in the direction Keith had gone in. "You're suppose to be my girl!"

Celestia just calmly walked back into the bridge. "I don't think so." She said as she sat at her station.

"When is it going to be official?" Hunk asks, while sitting at his station. "Or is it already?"

"No, it's not official." Celestia sighed.

"Of course not!" Lance grumped as he walked over to his station and plopped down, sulking. "Keith never looks twice when it comes to women!"

"Don't worry Celestia!" Pidge said with a smile. "Keith'll come around."

Hunk bobs his head rapidly. "Yeah!"

Allura stares at the screen. "How long has it been?"

"Roughly ten vargas." Coran answers after looking at his panel.

Allura frowns. "We cannot just wait here!"

Lance is sitting on the edge of the raised platform. in front of Shiro's station. "The path is closed for, like, I don't know, 30 more vargas or something?"

Coran ran the numbers on his console. "That's actually correct."

Hunk did a double take at Lance, his eyes bugged. "Really?"

Lance laced his fingers and cracked his knuckles, while looking smug. "Yeah, I wasn't born yester-quintant."

"I have to know what's going on down there." Allura said.

"There's no way to get a read on their base. Too much interference from the solar flares and the black holes." Pidge replied as she sat at her station.

"If we account for the gravitational lensing, maybe we can reduce the noise and interference and connect with the Red Lion's sensors, right? Th-That's right, right?" Hunk asks, looking at Lance.

Lance looks between Hunk and Coran, then points at himself. "Are you looking at me?"

Coran nods. "We can give it a try."

Allura gives a short nod. "Get on it."

After sometime, Celestia sat in the kitchen. She sighed as her left elbow leaned on the smooth counter, her chin rested in her palm.

Hunk poked his head in. "There you are Princess!" He smiles as he walks further into the room.

She turns to him. "Hi."

Hunk makes his way to the fridge. "Now that we have a cow, I can make more meals!" He tells her happily.

She watches him. "Oh?" She lowers her hand. "Like what?"

Hunk pulls out a plate. "Oven-Roasted Asparagus!" He announces happily, eyeing it with hunger.

"That looks good." Celestia smiles, he grins then holds the plate out for her.

"Here!"

"Princess! Keith is in trouble!" Red Lion alerts with urgent, Celestia gasps as she jumps up.

"Keith's in trouble!" She races out of the kitchen, Hunk sets the plate down on the counter to run after her, but after a minute he returns and grabs the plate before quickly leaving the kitchen again.

The two run into the bridge, just as Allura announces. "The Red Lion is moving!"

Lance straightened up. "We gotta get down there!"

Hunk moves to his station, and looks at his holographic screen. "It won't be ready for five more minutes."

Coran turns from his panel. "The Red Lion has started attacking!"

"We need to get down there now!" Celestia cried with panic. "Allura!"

Time seemed to pass.

"I'm going down now!" Celestia cried, turning to run out of the bridge, but Lance was quick to grab her arm and stop her.

"Allura?" He questions, looking at her.

Allura's expression hardened. "Everyone stay focused. Coran, how much longer until we get in?"

Coran quickly twisted himself around to look at her. "Just a few more ticks, Princess."

"Get ready!"

"Fire ... four ... three ... two ... one!" Coran counted down, he then moves his hand to activate the thrusters.

Red Lion appears on screen, then Shiro's voice over the speakers. "Princess, we're coming back, and we're bringing someone you should meet."

Lance, who still had a hold of Celestia's arm, yelps as he's suddenly jerked to the side, Celestia bolts out of the bridge as the Blue Paladin falls to the floor with a loud crash.

Hunk and Pidge jump out of their stations and run out of the bridge.

Celestia reaches the Red Lion's hanger first. Hunk and Pidge come running in, followed by Lance Allura and Coran. The two Paladins exit, followed by two Galra. Both Galra has the same uniform that Ulaz had, but one of them had a wrap around his body. His face mask disappeared, revealing his face. He walked up to both Princesses and knelt in front of them. Keith stays standing on the ramp, as Shiro and the two Galra stand next to it.

"Princess Allura, Princess Celestia, it's good to see that the rumors are true. You're still alive after all these years."

Celestia nods. "What's your name?" She asks gently.

The Galra looks at her. "My name is Kolivan, I am the leader of the Blade Of Marmora."

"Please rise." Celestia told him just as gently, he does. "It's so good to know that we are not the only ones in this war against Zarkon."

"Can we consider you our ally in the fight against him?" Allura questions, her voice hard. Celestia glares at her.

Kolivon nods. "Yes, but we have little time to discuss this. I just received word from our spy inside the Galran hierarchy. They have become aware of our presence, so the timetable for our plan has been moved up."

Shiro turns to him. "How soon do we need to begin?"

"Now."

"Wait!" Keith calls when everyone turned to leave the hanger, they turned back around to face him.

Celestia walks over to him. "Keith?" He looked beat up, and his right shoulder bled a little. "Are you alright?" She asks with worry and concern.

He didn't answer, instead he pulled out his blade and activated it. It turns into one of the Blade Of Marmora's swords. "I'm half Galra." He reveals.

Shiro nods with a smile of pride while Allura, Coran and the other Paladins gasp. Celestia walks up to Keith.

Celestia throws her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly and he stumbled back a little, but kept his balance.

"I don't understand." Pidge said as Celestia pulled away from the hug.

"I never knew my mother." Keith answered as he deactivated his blade and put it away.

Allura's eyes hardened, glaring at Keith, then turned and stormed out of the hanger. After a minute, the others slowly followed.

Keith sighed heavily, he looks at Shiro. "What now?"

"We get you into the infirmary." Shiro pats him on the shoulder.

"What about the others?" Keith questions.

"They'll come around." Celestia answered as she took his arm and hugged it. "It might take a little time, but they will."

"Princess Celestia, may I ask you something?" Kolivon asked, looking at her and watching as she hugged Keith's arm lovenly, she looks at him.

"Of course."

"You act kind and use kind words towards us. Why? I thought all Galra were enemies who were not Galra?"

Celestia looks down, being quiet for a long moment, then looks up. "My grandparents use to be enemies. But one day, something happened and then - my mother was born." She explained.

Fresh from a shower, and his shoulder stitched up and patched up, Keith sighed as he now laid on his back on his bed, staring up at the ceiling with his hands resting on his stomach. His head turns to the door when there's a knock. Getting up he walks to his door and opens it.

Celestia stood in the hall. Not saying a word, he grabs her and pulls her into his room. Her arms lock around his neck as they kiss, and it soon deepens. and they melt into each other.
