Author's Note: To all guest readers, thank you very much for your wonderful reviews and comments. Thank you also to people who faved and followed this story. It made me so happy. There was one review and some constructive criticism from a particular guest reader so I couldn't properly respond to it. I just wanted to say, thank you for enjoying the story even you mentioned that OC's weren't usually your thing.

Regarding Kusuo's x-ray vision, I believe he couldn't really see what anyone looked like physically as all he really saw were their muscle arrangements. It was explained through certain episodes. In the episode where he was bothered by a cat, it was shown that he couldn't see them either and could only see their bones. I hope that clears it up. Regarding how his power works ever since Emiko kind of messed with his x-ray vision, I'm saving this explanation for a later chapter.

Lastly, during her birthday episode, I'm sorry if you felt that way. It wasn't my intention. Emiko wasn't able to tell Kusuo all of what happened in her past so they will definitely have a better moment to talk about it. Thanks and I hope that clears it up once again. :) If any of you have questions or if one particular chapter isn't clear, I'd be happy to read what you have to say to explain my writing or edit that chapter. Cheers!

"Damn! That guy didn't support us! He was the medic and he didn't do squat! His weapon was pretty good and his health was high ah! What the hell! Fricking camper. Ugh! I was this close! ... Where's the chat? I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind."

Saiki watched in amusement as Emiko raged over their loss in an online video game they were playing. She was angrily typing on the keyboard. Kusuo crossed his arms listening to his friend mutter out what she was typing.

"... kind of medic are you? Mmm... Three team members needed to be healed and you just camped like a wuss."

If Kusuo could grin widely, he would have done so. It was really funny to see his usually well composed, beautiful and kind friend lose her temper over something so trivial. It was a side anyone barely saw and quite frankly, he likes seeing this side of her, meaning to say that even with her emotions, she was honest.

"...why bother playing if you won't even play? Were you in it for the loot in the end? You enjoy being a user?" She mumbled the rest so Kusuo couldn't make out what she said.

'You're not... sending that, are you?'

"Ugh! I want to..." Emiko sighed and leaned on the couch of Kusuo's living room dejectedly.

'Just cool down a bit. That game was pretty intense. You might regret it if you do send it.'

"You know me so well."

Kusuo read the message she didn't send and commented with an eyebrow raised 'You did not hold back.'

"I know!" Emiko said covering her face ashamed of herself. "I get so worked up when I play and now that we were this close to winning, it was futile because we were all too low on health."

Kusuo smirked at her response totally understanding her annoyance, but he's always been the superior one in keeping his emotions in check.

"Hey! I just remembered! Our Okinawa trip is coming up soon! I'm so excited."

'Of course you are. You're a low level human who enjoys travelling because you cannot teleport like I can.' Kusuo said jokingly.

Emiko stared at him with her mouth agape. "What did you justsay?"

He shrugged indifferently knowing that it would tick her off more.

"You know, Kusuo, I was thinking to myself the other day that, hm, maybe I should treat my best friend to some coffee jelly because he's been so good to me. WELL, YOU CAN KISS THAT GOOD BYE!"

'I just realised that you're the highest level a human being can achieve.'

"Wow! Who knew you were such a suck up?" Emiko laughed.

After their sham dispute, she tilted her head in thought. "I wonder who my group-mates will be in the Okinawa trip? Is it chosen at random or are we going to choose our own?"

'We'll choose our own. Speaking of which, you're going to be in my group."

"Oooh! Calling dibs on me?" She said teasingly.

Kusuo rolled his eyes. 'Not like that, baka. I enjoy my day better when you're around.'

Emiko gave him the best puppy eyes she could "Aw! You mean it?"

'Yes. You somehow keep the other bakas in check. They're more tolerable when you're there.'

"You're only using me!" She exclaimed throwing her hands on both cheeks. "Besides, don't you always complain that I attract too much attention?"

'I suppose you cannot help it as a human being of the highest level.'

"UGH! You're the baka!"

In Kusuo and Emiko's year level, all classes were abuzz because of the trip to Okinawa! If there was a meter for excitement, the entire grade eleven would range from ninety-two to a hundred when Kusuo's would read ten at the most. It was difficult to look after his schoolmates in a different environment.

Hairo was going around telling people to find groups of three boys and three girls, though one group will have four girls since Emiko joined in later in the beginning of the year.

"Emi-chan! Join our group!" Yuuki said as she, Tora and Rei walked with Emiko to the restroom.

"Sure! Do you have room for one more guy?"

"You mean, Saiki, right?" Tora smirked teasingly. "Aw damn, no. We have three guys already. Yah know, Hairo is one of them."

"Oh really?" Emiko asked looking at Yuuki with a cheeky face.

"Guys! Stop!" Yuuki said with a red face.

After they used the restroom, they bumped into Kaido who happily told Emiko that they were in the same group. When they headed back to the classroom, Emiko was intercepted by two of her friends Chiyo and Kokomi. Both friends knew that the pink heads were sure to be in the same group because they were best friends. Their assumption was confirmed when they checked the list with Hairo. Though both viewed Emiko as a rival for Kusuo's affections, they were a little comforted by the fact that she didn't seem to view him romantically. In addition to that, they genuinely enjoyed her company anyway so it was a win-win for all if they asked to be part of her group.

"Emi-chan! Is your group full already?" Chiyo tried to ask subtly.

"No, it's not! Wanna be group-mates?" Emiko asked to save them the trouble. She knew that both of them were good friends of hers, but knew the main reason they asked her was for their crush on Kusuo. Though it seemed to bother her a bit in the beginning, she took comfort in the fact that Kusuo asked her to be in his group. So, you know, it's not like he was gonna replace her or anything... As his best friend.

"Yes, please! Only if it's okay with you, of course!" Kokomi smiled beautifully.

"Of course it is! Mera too!" Emiko said genuinely. "I'll go tell Kusuo that our group is complete!"

"We'll go with you!" Both girls said not wanting to pass on an opportunity to be able to talk to Saiki. The said boy was about to walk out of the classroom to scold Emiko for allowing the two troublesome girls he wanted to avoid into their group when

"Kusuo! Our group is complete!" Emiko said loudly to talk over the noise of the room.

'I heard. Why them, though?'

'They kind of ambushed me knowing the girls in our group weren't complete.'

'You should have said no.'

'But they're also my friends! I like them both anyway. It's not like there are other girls left in the class anyway. You did say I could keep them in check.'

'And I believe that. Just make sure they don't bother me too much.'

'Got it!'

Saiki group was the subject of envy for all of the boys as both Hiro and Teruhashi were there. The psychic was annoyed greatly at fact. He did not like this at all. He contemplated on how he can switch the groups but he saw how happily Emiko was with the rest of his group-mates knowing that she favoured them more than the others in their class (excluding Yuuki, Tora and Rei). He sighed and decided to settle with the group.

'You owe me coffee jelly for this.' He told her telepathically.

'Okay. From where?'

'I like the ones you make.'

'I'll make you a lot.' She said offering him a lovely smile.

He sighed again. 'Why did she have to make such good coffee jelly?'

When all the groups were settled, a teacher walked in and said that Mera couldn't make it to the class trip as they weren't able to fish enough tuna. This changed the mood of the class as most felt bad for the hungry girl. Emiko was about to speak to the teachers in private to offer to pay for Mera's ticket when Kusuo had a premonition of someone visiting him later that evening. It seems like Makoto Teruhashi was going to join the trip in order to keep him from doing perverted stuff to Emiko and Kokomi. He will certainly not let that happen.

'I guess Mera will have a ticket after all.' He smirked to himself.

He grabbed Emiko's arm before she was about to leave the classroom and said 'Don't worry. Mera will have a ticket.'

'Are you sure?'

He gave her a nod and let go of her arm. Emiko gave him another smile that he admits he loves seeing.

His vision was right, and Makoto did approach him later that evening making Saiki wish that the guy had never been born. He took the ticket deciding to give it to Mera anonymously when the said girl trudged to her house looking down in the dumps. He felt a sense of contentment knowing that she would soon be receiving some good news.

As soon as he stepped in the airport, Kusuo knew that trouble was going to take place. He just hoped that he would be ready for it all.

Just as he predicted, their flight to Okinawa was delayed because of a hurricane. Very quickly, the spirits of the class plummeted. He observed some of his classmates and compared their behaviour now to how they were earlier and some, like Nendou, were rather... Pitiful.

A classmate of his asked Matsuzaki sensei if the trip will be postponed but their teacher replied that it would be cancelled. This caused an outrage with some students as they questioned whether he cared about it when a pack of Uno fell from the teacher's jacket. They learned that he was just as excited as them. If possible, everything seemed more bleak than before. Even Hairo's enthusiastic attempt to cry for sunlight wasn't received by their class. Kusuo looked over to Emiko seeing that she didn't even make an attempt to cheer her classmates because she was just as upset as they. Instead, she was reading a book. He sighed at the lot, as their anticipated trip of the year turned out to be one of the tragedies.

He walked to the restroom and teleported to the hurricane and dissipated it. As soon as it happened, the class cheered! Emiko was about to tell Kusuo the news, when she saw him wet from head to toe. He didn't say anything and neither did she, but she knew right away what he must have done. Was it just her, or did he... Seem more attractive with the wet look?

'You took care of it, didn't you?'

'Yes.' As he said that, a wind blew around Kusuo making him dry in an instant.

She walked to his side and squeezed his arm in thanks. "Thank you. If the class can see how much you do for them and how kind you really are, then they'll understand just how much I appreciate and adore you." She gave him one of her signature grins as they prepared to depart.

Kusuo didn't say anything but he gave her a nod that she knew meant you're welcome. Seeing the class happy that their plane could take off was enough and honestly, her gratitude alone was all he needed. They boarded the plane not knowing what other troubles await them.

Kusuo counted Trouble Number Two when he had to teleport to Kaido's house to get his medicine that will take away his nausea, and Trouble Number Three when Takahashi's stomach started to ache. The Flight Attendant was suggesting that they stop by Fukuoka, when he just rewound the body of latter by a day.

At this point, he was really tired. He teleported four times, used his powers to dissipate a hurricane, and temporarily ailed the pain of the green haired pervert. He took a nap after. When he did, you guessed it, he had a precognition of the aircraft falling in water. He stood up to go to the restroom again when Emiko noticed. Before he could go in, she caught up with him and asked

"What's happening?"

'The plane is about to crash on water. I'm going outside right to support its weight.'

"What! You're planning to carry it all the way to Okinawa? We're thirty minutes away!" She whispered.

'It's easier than finding the source of the problem.'

"Well, I have some flying experience. I'll troubleshoot the plane while you carry it."

'You can do that? Nevermind. Tell me later. I'll set up a telepathic link so you can tell me the status of the plane.'

As Kusuo teleported to the bottom of plane to lift it up, Emiko entered the cockpit quickly and chopped the back of the necks of both pilots seeing that they were simply banging on things.

"How did you become pilots if banging on things is your solution?" She muttered as she quickly pressed autopilot to see if there was a response, when there was none, she pushed the throttle lever forward. Still no response. Using her power, she checked if the electrical current was running smoothly. It was fluctuating.

'What's going on?'

'I think the problem is the wiring. I'm going to the Forward Electrical Equipment Bay.'

In eight minutes, Emiko was able to fix the wiring that somehow came loose because of poor maintenance. She took control of the plane and kept it on auto-pilot and woke the pilots using the chemical energy in their brain. Both pilots were confused as they both felt they were knocked out and were in a different situation from before.

'You can return now. Everything's fixed.' She told her friend.

'Thanks. This plane was heavy.'

She returned to her seat before Kusuo so people wouldn't get the wrong idea about them. She sat beside Mera who wondered of her absence which she quickly dismissed as having a chat with the Flight attendant. When Kusuo returned to his seat, he look undeniably tired and Kaido made fun of him for also being prone to flight sickness.

'Give me a break.' He thought.

'Too bad those boys don't know you're actually Superman.' Emiko told him.

'And I didn't know you could fly a plane and are somehow a mechanic.'

'I don't know, but I could always do it on instinct. I'll tell you more about it later.'

'All right. I hope the situation is better in Okinawa than the trip getting there.'

'I hope you're right.'

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are preparing for landing. Please fasten your seat belt and make sure all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you."

The class obediently did so and peered out of the window to see the blue sea in view. They have finally arrived.
