Wedding day
Chuck elbowed his older brother Kelly and smirked. "Bro! Is she really going to?"
Kelly smiled politely and whispered "Do you really want to find out?"
They looked out across the crowd through their sunglasses. Everyone was on their best behavior, dressed to the nines but the Grimms weren't taking any chances with Wesen freaking out at her wedding because of their eyes. Diana had put everyone under strict orders "I am so happy to have you at my wedding. I am so glad we can share in this together." Then she squinted an angry look and her eyes flashed bright purple "But if you mess up my wedding, I will lay waste to your soul and not even the darkest recesses of hell itself will hide you from me!" Then she looked sternly at her petite 5-foot tall black haired sister in the perfectly tailored purple bridesmaids dress and continued "ESPECIALLY you Catherine! No killing anyone at my wedding!" Diana's eyes changed back to blue, she smiled a sweet happy smile, and continued talking about how much fun the special day would be with all of them present as her sister mischievously grumbled about no fun and rolled her eyes.
Diana had insisted on a Black Tie wedding. Tuxedos and Evening gowns. They looked out across the crowd and smiled at all the familiar faces waiting intently for the bride. The bride's younger brother Kelly stood out like a sore thumb in the group at the front - he was wearing his Army dress whites - sword and all. Eve had pulled a favor and he had arrived on leave from Afghanistan yesterday night.
Chuck elbowed his brother again and looked out into the crowd. He whispered "Look! How did they ever get her into a dress?" A slight smirk crossed his face as they looked at a woman wearing sunglasses - she looked very uncomfortable and strangely out of place wearing the beautiful light blue evening gown. Kelly silently snickered to himself as he looked at Aunt Theresa Rubel and then whispered to his brother "who brings a machete to a wedding, anyway?" His brother fights back the laughter trying to keep a straight face and whispers "Look, somebody did her hair." He fidgets uncomfortably again "At least you get to wear your sword on the outside."
They hear a muffled woman's voice coming from the bridesmaids and all the grooms men look askance at Kelly. Kyle snickers and whispers to his brother Jason "She's complaining again." Kelly rolls his eyes and fidgets with the gold band on his left hand. He hears his brother snicker and whisper "Of course she is complaining. Eve is going to kill her." Kelly shifts on his feet and watches a beautiful, slender, brown haired woman with a single lock of grey hair in the crowd scowl and wince her eyes at the black haired, dark skinned woman in the middle of the bridesmaids. His brother silently snickers again and whispers "Not if Catherine gets her first. Look!" They secreted a glance over and saw their diminutive sister kick Julie and flash bright crystal blue eyes at her. The young woman shrugs her shoulders and whispers "What?" The bridesmaids all glance over at angrily Kelly as he sheepishly smiles and fidgets with the ring again.
Kyle glances at Kelly's brother and whispers "Jen said she got into a fight with the stripper at the bachelorette party." Chuck is fighting back laughter and tears are coming to his eyes "Of course she did. *snicker* Jen said she insisted everybody including the stripper call her Dr. Corbyn *snicker* Seriously? They all have PhD's. Melissa even has a PhD. Catherine said Melissa made up for it though. She said Melissa was the life of the party." Chuck's best friend smiles and whispers "At least she brought Melissa." A shadow of a smirk crosses Kelly's face as he fidgets with the ring. Soon they hear grumbling again from Julie and all the bridesmaids glance at Kelly angrily as he innocently looks away. Kelly elbows his brother and whispers sternly "Quit laughing!" Their pregnant mother Adalind is now scowling at them and squinting her eyes. Rosalee is also scowling and squinting her eyes at her sons Kyle and Jason as they fight back laughter. Now their grandmothers Alice and Elizabeth are also squinting their eyes at the young men.
The music starts and all eyes look towards the back of the church. There is a muffled gasp as Diana steps out with her father Sean. She is spectacular in her flowing white dress. He looks out across the crowd and smiles. Her father looks stately in his tuxedo next to her - standing a few inches taller than his daughter. All eyes watch them as he escorts his daughter to the front. The groom Tanner has a giant smile as he sees her walking down the aisle in her glory.
Kyle smirks and whispers to Chuck "I don't see what she sees in him. He doesn't even have any powers." Chuck snickers back "He's loaded." Kelly elbows his little brother again as his mother and her best friend both squint their eyes angrily at their sons. He hears quiet muttering and rolls his eyes as all the bridesmaids angrily glance over at him again.
He smiles a giant smile as his big sister makes it to the front of the church. The wedding is finally here!
